Thanks for this reaction. So for Babymetal has performed all the songs from the new album at the Japan shows and in the west: Metalizm, Monochrome, Devine Attack, Metal Kingdom. But also very important for many Babymetal fans: they are using Babymetal Death as opening song again. That hits hard as the first song, taking fans of the other bands (Lordi, Sabaton) at these shows by surprise. Makes people know: Babymetal is here, please pay attention. 🙂 Also we get the introductions of Su-metal, Moametal and of course: Momometal in the song, which is great for us fans. Their was a reminder on a fan forum recently: please take hearing protection with you for the live shows. Not a bad idea for sure !
The more I hear, the more excited I get! Let me know your thoughts. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe! Check out the NEW Amazon links in the description!
Nice Reaction, thanks for that! And thanks for the whole Babymetal Yourney so far! You got a new subscriber... 😉 Until now I watched so many BABYMETAL concerts from the 1997/1999 Apocalypse, both Tokyo Dome performances to the 10 Babymetal Budokan experiences and the big return in January... and they are all freaking great. Can't wait to see the newest live performance from early April! (from where all the newest official videos were taken I guess) And finally I saw them live 2 days ago for the first time and it was really AWESOME!! This is my favourite song from the new album, and I couldn't believe it when I hear them playing MAYA live on the concert 🤩 And the opening with BABYMETAL DEATH - just epic! Unfortunately the response from the crowd was not that big. I guess 95% came to see Sabaton and don't know anything about BABYMETAL obviously... But they will come back in November/December on their Worldtour and I think this solo concert will be a banger!!
I interpreted the song as Su's voice representing not wanting to wake up to a harsh reality, and would rather live in a false reality. While Maya, which means illusion or deceitful in Sanskrit, and signifies an illusionary world in Indian culture, answers with her own name, meaning to essentially accept it. At first Su simply calls Maya a liar about it being an illusion that she's in, interpreting her name to the other meaning. As the verses and choruses go on, Su slowly accepts it's only an illusion, and wakes up to the cold world, but with the shining sun of morning signify there's still hope. Then begins the next song which is Time Wave, and you have or will see where it picks up from. If you are interested, you should go relisten to the Metal Galaxy track Distortion, and see how it may fit before Maya, both in sound and lyrically.
The word "mayakashi" まやかし in the Japanese lyrics, meaning "deception" or "fakery", has an unclear etymology, and the "maya" may be derived from the Sanskrit "maya"-some word-play in the song. There may be more word-play going on, because the "kashi" of "mayakashi" is a homophone of "kashi" 歌詞 meaning "lyrics", which could suggest that the lyrics of the song are also a deception, or a meta-deception.
Great reaction - I saw them in London on Saturday (they didn't do this one - I think it would have surprised the Sabaton and Lordi fans as much as 'BABYMETAL Death' probably did) ... congratulations on getting your tickets for when they're in the US. They were great just as the 'special guest' act, they will be even better (and you should get a longer set) with them as co-headliners.🤘🦊🤘
LOL I can see that WWE Entrance for sure! Never thought about that but I totally see it! I'm happy you got the same feeling I did on how HEAVY this is ! Great reaction sir! Nice to see another Genuine creator!
Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 A couple of days ago they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour, first at Leeds, then London and yesterday was Cardiff, tomorrow is Glasgow turn, everyone is having a blast with these, so far all the sets were different and yesterday they surprised everyone with the dance choreo for METAL KINGDOM in the middle of the set. The nasty riffs reminds to "Ice Nine Kills - Rainy Day", which got inspiration from another song that's heavily famous called Awolination - Run, used a lot of time for memes. I find out Maya in Hindu myth is the representation of illusion (which is the theme in this song), so the matrix similarities is pretty accurate, nice job spotting that. Here's some official info: MAYA (ILLUSION) _Reality is an illusion. The truth may be a deception._ _It is a feeling as if you wandered in between the Real World and the Virtual World. It may be magic, or it may be an illusion._ Thanks for sharing your thoughts in this new track, wait to hear the Western Kami Band playing this live. excellent content GMoon-Metal, "MAYA" is from the world of "Illusion" I think it would be a great theme song for a female wrestler with magic powers as part of her gimmick, like Asuka or Alexa Bliss. I just hope that it is in the setlist when I see them.
Great reaction as always, thanks! It's been a long time since I watched wrestling for the last time, but I'm familiar with it and I understand the idea. 😁 I'm looking forward (not) patiently the Blu-Ray DeLorean of the concerts at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama for many reasons but I really want to listen to the live versions of all the songs they premiered live there. This one and "Mirror Mirror" included. Although I'm thinking I will probably listen to them first live in concert in a couple of weeks... hopefully. In the meantime I'm just avoiding all sort of spoilers. 🤘🦊
One of my favorites. The part you said sounds like a wrestlers entrance, kinda reminds me of an 80's or 90s commercial for like the first ever talking barbie or doll that talks. lol
This is a great song, definitely one of my favorites of the new album! Ah, and congrats for securing a ticket to their tour - I wish they'd do a headliner tour over here in mainland Europe (seeing them as a Sabaton support didn't seem very attractive to me, although from what I've heard and seen their set and show is (of course) amazing, even as just a "special guest").
I will also be at the Pittsburgh show in September. I was so glad they were able to come close as it's only about an hour and a half or so drive for me. I definitely was not wanting to drive the 6 and 8 hour one way trips for the festivals this year. See you there!
I have seen a fan cam of the LIVE performance of this song from the Yokohama (I believe) concert. Even though the sound and visual quality wasn’t all that great The Kami’s (Western I believe getting ready for the European leg of their world tour) were on point and fantastic. Suzuka Moa’s and Momoko’s vocals were outstanding even with the poor audio quality. Great song for LIVE concerts. I am looking forward to seeing a Pro Shot of it sometime (hopefully soon). Congrats on your tickets! Enjoy the concert and look forward to hearing about your experience.
Thanks so much! As much as I enjoyed hearing the 5 original releases live during the stream, it just makes me more excited to hear the rest as well! I can't wait!
As Amuse owns the rights to this track, they could choose to license it for anything, including anime, TV, film, toilet paper commercials, etc. Copyright laws only kick in if someone takes content without permission, e.g. reaction channels. The fact that this video is still online, along with many other reaction videos to works owned by Amuse, shows that Amuse is not going particularly hard on enforcing its rights.
FourBleats is right for the most part. Trust me, Amuse still enforces the Copyright, to the point where if you attempt to monetize it, they will take the money (which I'm fine with). They seem to have lessened their grip on a lot of stuff as to enforcement of the copyright by BLOCKING everything.
Tbh the whispered part doesn't sound like Moa's voice, I believe it's SU's voice 🤔🤔 I loved the song! I am enjoying more the unreleased songs rather than the official MV's! Can't wait for you to react to Metalizm! :D
@@GlassMoonGaming I assume you know, but just in case you don't know, a small number of fans are 'shippers' they think Suzuka and Moa would make a great pair in not just a friendly relationship.
@@GlassMoonGaming I know a lot of people who wouldn't know what that means, so I have no idea what to think of that. I assume it's an online term and hasn't sneaked into real life, right ?

The spoken part is Su, lol can't mistake that accent, Moa sounds German when she speaks English.
I thought that sounded more like Su. I'm glad I'm not crazy. :)
Good point!

I've definitely been sneaking looks at some of the songs from over in UK and I like! Definitely can't wait to see them in Pittsburgh!
I am not familiar with wrestling, but I heard that Austin Creed of WWE is a big fan of BABYMETAL.
Oh Nice!

I hope so too! It's really good!
My favourite song from the new album. An absolute banger!!!
Heavy as hell with a super catchy chorus.
It rocks HARD! Can't wait to hear a live version!
Yea that would be fun for ASUKA to come out to it like she did with Karate
I didn't even know she did that until someone else commented, but yes! That'd fit so well!
Great reaction as always, thanks!

I can't wait! I'm with you, I wasn't looking forward to that drive, but I probably would've if this hadn't come up! Should be a blast!
Asuka (now WWE) used Karate for her theme in NXT. They also used it for one of their Takeover pay-per-views in 2016, I believe.
Nice! Very appropriate!
There's a glitch in the Matrix. Déjà vu.

This would be a great opening for an Anime. If AMUSE was not a stickler for copyrighting
