How ever there close range damage to heros are stupid
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had to retreat when the Droidekas showed up in TPM, and a similar scene happened in ROTS. I'm sure they could have defeated the Droidekas with difficulty but the fact they chose to avoid the risk tells you a lot.
Also in one of the Legends comic, it takes Luke and Mara Jade working together to kill one Droideka...of course this was the pre-Disney EU before they portrayed Luke and Vader as overpowered, indestructible superhero-level demigods rather than the skilled, but mortal warriors with vaguely mystical power that Lucas intended them to be.
Seriously, that Mandalorian scene was fucking dumb.

i was addicted at launch and i moved on and now i began playing it again. i forgot how fun the game is. i LOVE capital supremacy. when you have two really really good teams going at it the match can last an hour going back and forth. i been both in the winning and losing end. i love that feeling.

Although according to DICE, it was environmental clutter and didn't confirm Droidekas coming like we expected. They released the news officially confirming them months afterwards. It was meme worthy, hence this joke
