EA and dice were trying to create a star wars version of Battlefield and that's what the title should've been. They called it battlefront because corporate boardroom numpties thought it a good idea to compare the game to a beloved classic. Yeah I understand your point but I and many others would love to see a Battlefront with so much passion and love in it. I enjoyed BF1 and BF2 just for a while and after some hours of playing it was just like meh. But I really hope that EA will not intervene in Jedi Fallen Order as they did in Battlefront 1 and 2 they just fucked up DICE's work. If these guys would had more time, this BF would have killin it.

Well... i just got back. It took me nearly half a year to even hear about this mode, and that's because Instant Action news hit my radar lol. I quit during launch week, that's how terrible this game was. Now i'm playing it again, what? 2 years later? LOL. Took their sweet ass time i guess.

There’s nothing that feels more badass than playing a Commando Droid and spotting a Jedi on the battlefront. Instead of running like the others, you charge him and unsheathe your blade.
But then you get killed with 1 hit by anakin

I'm good at taking Jedi out as a Commando Droid, it just sucks to be 1 hit by Anakin though.
Fun having the dodge and badass blade to solo some heroes.
You just gotta go "bing bing bong" and knock him on the ground. Then shoot him, dodge his saber, and hit him 3 times again

New content doesn't equal improvement. DICE doesn't seem to care about fixing bugs, abilities have been broken for months and now lightsabers are worse than ever.

I love watching gameplay of this as my computer doesn't have the power to run the game. I am waiting for more maps, objectives, and eras for this game mode. You guys did a great job! I am now waiting for Mace Windu and Jango Fett's Slave 1 as well as Jango himself. It would be kinda cool to see Father and Son fighting alongside each other on the battlefront.
I hope we get Capital Supremacy maps for both the Original and Sequel Trilogy. Maybe Endor, Tatooine, and Hoth for the originals and then Nima Outpost Jakku and Takodana for the sequels.

We now have kashyyyk, kamino, and this month naboo to fight on this gamemode, with a new planet felucia on its way in the next few months

Now, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, from a purely objective standpoint, I think this Battlefront 2 is better than the original.

The older bf2 plays completely different that's more of a arcadeshooter made very simple so it gets quantity over quality.
In this swbf2 has far more quality over quantity but slowly adding more and more with far more unique things from maps to weapons and gadgets to hero's and abilities and cosmetics. But the game is very restrained to try to be "cannon" and not so silly as a arcade would.
Trying to be as immersive as it can be.
That's how battlefeild franchise also evolved turned more immersive less arcade where you hop in vehicles left and right then just run out to die Cuz things were so fast and easy.
Now you gotta watch yourself and vehicles are balanced and there's point systems and whatnot.
Alot of the old bf2 maps were plain and hero's copy and paste.
But both very different.
Alot like 2015 bf1 vs thus new one the last one was arcady but tried to be immersive and more of an work of art game focusing heavily on immersion and themed content etc.
Some might argue there's more fun to be had in one another but bog are very good for dufferent reasons completely.

Ea basically left dice for battlefield 5 but Star wars battlefront 2 has a better community and that says something. So yeah dice has like 5 people working or less
EA controls nearly every aspect of how each game is made though- including release date, allocation of funds and personnel and things like that whole microtransaction bs a year and a half ago
Dice has to get the approval from EA. That means EA said Dice is allowed to do this. Dice has tried to make this game great before but then EA made them put loot boxes.

EA controls the finances while DICE makes the game. What's interesting is that they actually fixed the game. Not only are they adding new content, it is no longer play to win. All the Star Cards and rifles are unlocked through levelling up normally or by completing challenges. All the heroes are unlocked now for everyone at no additional cost. The only thing you can buy with credits are costumes, emotes and victory poses.

Well techicnically it never got to actually start that way cause the microtransactions got shit on before they even came out, but I too concur.
Yeah they really are trying to save this game, they just need to get more people back on the team to really get it to where it needs to.
Ironically, they need to play it like this new mode, get good things done to please the community so that EA sends reinforcements to bolster this game and make it even better.

I loved Capital Supremacy when it launched and was happy they added new maps such as Kamino, Naboo, Felucia and many more plus the ARC Trooper and Clone Commandos are my favorite reinforcements in the game. Kamino is one of my favorite maps in any mode
Huge nostalgia trip loaded up my ps2 and played some old battlefront 1 and 2 and also played some republic heroes (clone wars game just like the show)
