I have one of these from 2004 that has 15 gallons on it and it is beat to hell and still runs like a swiss watch and has good compression, absolutely fantastic engine

Just got an OG MGT 8.0 with this engine in it. Going to do a rebuild since I really don't know the history on it and motor seems a little beat. Awesome video!
Only thing better than fresh built engine is a brand new running engine. I love getting engines rebuilt (or brand new) but, I get so excited and anxious after to get them going 😁

I am working on an ae .15 that I want to give back a little attention the trace around the port on the old sleeve we can see very well where the porting could be made a very good indication

This engine is discontinued and they parts were available for cheap from a guy that didn't know what he had. Also here in Canada it's often cheaper to rebuild then pay for new. Traxxas 3.3 is 320$ new or 125$ to rebuild.

5w30 synthetic engine oil
Got the pro 21r in front of me purple head it’s on an mta4 , not sure if it’s an mta4 or the team associated model same thing , mint tho .

Surprisingly it was full of after run oil and was minted inside 55 bucks for the whole car minted
