Hey hillbilly! I know you're know your handle is hillbilly but you don't have to wrench like one you can save 30 minutes of wrenching and alot of headache! When you remove all that you just did 10$ tlr clutch puller and hold the flywheel with your hand loosen the hex nut no need for that channel locks! Then to remove fly wheel take a screwdriver tape the end and put on the back of flywheel and one tap with hammer and flywheel comes right off! Don't worrie abought being Even on both sides there is no wat in hell you will damage the crank! Trust me been doing it that way before you where Borne remember lots of newbies have little patience! And the way you just showed is way! To long! Kiss principal bro! Keep it short and simple or short and stupid! But your red set up is fresh!
Omg I was thinking the same thing. I cant see how that crank is not gonna be out of balance atleast a little bit.. It doesn't take much at all.. Plus it's so easy to make a puller or just buy 1 right... Did he say it's best not to hit it with a hammer.. Oh well who am I to judge. Thanks for sharing ur video 👍👍👍🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🗽🗽🗽
Question dude. You would know this question. I have a Revo 3.3 that I fitted a 4.6 engine out of a savage monster truck. I have the new Steele spur gear and need the proper clutch bell that is for a hardened Steele spur What do you suggest I use it has to be 15 to 17 teeth I believe
I replace my clutch bearings after two qualifiers and after my main. I’ve had bearings fail that I put on before the first qualifier and they failed 6 minutes into a 30 min main, the clutch bell about went through my tank. So after that I quit trying to stretch clutch bearings I keep them by the case now and change them routinely.
Are you using cheap bearings by chance? I just bought some replacements from ACER racing, ceramic clutch bearings.. I'm hoping those last a while, I noticed a lot of places sell ten packs of the cheaper steel bearings.
Just bought a TLR 8ight X and the OS Ronda Drake and the reds clutch. New to nitro do I use the collet that comes with kit or the one that comes with the Reds Clutch
Wait you don’t want to use the driver with the precision machined head. Instead tighten with crappy allen? Then you precede to strip it. C’mon man. Use the driver. Only use these Allen wrench in a tight spot if you have too.
Very sweet addition to ur REDS engine. I love how the new REDS clutch has the three adjustable settings. Very cool.
Quality Set up right there ! My Hats 🎩 off to Mario Rossi and the REDS company. Definitely Zeeeeeaah!
Wow 😮 nice stuff Nitro Bro👍! I have to give that set up a try sometime

So, you spend so much on a clutch, engine and so forth, but you did not want to go to the hardware store and spend 10 bucks on a puller... Right...

Speaking of the flywheel again..I ran down to AutoZone n picked up a terminal puller n it worked Perfectly !!!!
And he precedes to stop using hex driver and goes with the cheap allen wrench to tighten the bell down. And it slips off slightly stripping it. 😅
Very informative great video new subscriber here !🙏💯

You definitely should've put at least 1 shim BEHIND the clutch-Bell bearing.
Awesome video my friend...question...will reds clutch & flywheel fit a hpi savage 4.6 crank shaft???
buy the flywheel remover, it's much easier /a must have tool for nitro enthusiasts..
Where did you get the blue engine jig?(Also what is it called & the part# for it?)
Hey man, what clutchbell bearings you use, and what size bearings fits the reds bells? Thanks
it’s the same size that comes with the kit. 5x10x4mm. Reds sells heavy duty metal shielded bearings.
Have you considered using a thrust washer behind the flywheel ? Just asking
Just bought a TLR 8ight X and the OS Ronda Drake and the reds clutch. New to nitro do I use the collet that comes with kit or the one that comes with the Reds Clutch
I’m not sure there’s a right or wrong answer. Use the one that fits the crank shaft the best.
How can I check if this clutch will work with my 1/8th HSP, SH CXP21 Nitro Engine please
What kind of clutch is the one you removed?
This clutch will fit on losi 8ight rtr buggy?
No, this is a 32mm. You will need the Reds 34mm clutch with Losi.
@@HillbillyNitroUSA ok the 34mm thank you man
@@CorvetteC6-LS2 No problem, anytime. I really like my clutch! If you get a chance, let me know how you like it.
I order the reds racing quatro 34mm this one will fit right?
I have clutch bell pro tek 13t this bell gone fit on reds racing quattro 34mm in my losi 8ight rtr?
Do you know or have a link where i can find those blue engine mounts?

Does anyone know at which rpm this clutch engages? Thanks.

Dangerous rc They're the stock AE rotors. #81037
This is a terrible video. Buy a flywheel puller!
