my whole family was againstthe idea of upgrading to windows 10
because it was slower

This had me dying 😭(of laughter)

I remember that feeling I got when me and my dad upgraded our home pc from 8.1 to 10. That excited feeling when you got to test out a new version of Windows was something I missed when upgrading from 10 to 11. I think partially it was because 11 got leaked and I already knew what all was going to be new, so when I finally tested it, it wasn't as special
My farts smell like chocolate
@@seanmckay3392 what the fuck
i think its also partially because from a cosmetic standpoint atleast windows 11 is really damn similar to windows 10

i was excited to upgrade to windows 10 from 7 in late 2020 and i was trying to boot the iso from a partition because my laptop doesnt have a dvd drive and somehow or somewhat, i made the c: drive active and rigged the whole thing and then my mom had to send the laptop to my relative to fix it (and yes i was 8 at the time and i didnt know better) and then it came back home a day after new years with 10 installed.
I miss those old days.

I still remember upgrading my old HP laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 when it first came out... and somehow something busted the installation months after upgrading (I'm sure it wasn't Windows 10's fault) and I did it again in 2016 after resetting the laptop
@Dhfa 10 its your opinion but personally, 8.1 didnt utilise the desktop enough imo.
saaame, its been HP Laptop
@Dhfa 10 I dont think you should, after a few months windows will stop adding security updates which is gonna put your pc at risk, instead you should search for some software that make it look like 8.1
@@Lephiz “theme” software sucks, all you really need to do is stay on safe websites and keep an eye on the latest hijacks and hackers, do whatever you want

@@OfficialNoob94 sorry that cannot be fixed because 10's in extended support phase
Of course, I remember that. 2015, I installed windows 7 on my laptop (at first there was windows 8), but then an icon appeared in the taskbar: upgrade to windows 10. I couldn't refuse such an offer. By the way, the key to that windows 10 is still used on my new laptop
i just shifted windows 11 to windows 10

Good time, it's a shame we don't feel the same way these days.
I remember, back in 2015, my brother had upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. And I throught this OS had to be the last from Microsoft.
So good memories. 2015, was my favorite ever year and it was the best forever.
Until windows 11 came in...

My teacher's computer accidentally started upgrading in the middle of a music's class. It reached the "Upgrading Windows" step, when the school technician came and did a forced shut down. The computer was then restored to Windows 7.
You really should never shut the computer down during an update, as it could cause the computer to get bricked. Windows upgrades have a safeguard (Windows Setup Rollback) that was triggered on the first boot after the technician forcefully shut the computer down during the upgrade.
Maybe the school should upgrade the computers to Windows 10 because Windows 7 has been out of support since 2020, leaving it vulnerable to viruses and spyware.
@@juoig7799 I know you shouldn't do it, but the teacher needed to continue the class and the technician probably knew it would rollback, as the first step is just copying files. It happened in 2015, and at the time microsoft was installing an updater on every windows 7/8 computer, downloading the files in the background, and sometimes forcing a upgrade to windows 10. Everything at the school still used windows 7 and it was still supported. Just goes to show the problems of not having control of your own computer.
Nowadays they don't use windows 7 anymore, just chromebooks (a downgrade in my opinion) and the few windows computers already use windows 10.
I remembered when I had my own laptop in 2015. I installed Windows 7 and then I heard about Windows 10, so I upgraded to it, and it was working okay (until I had one weird issue of BSOD everytime I connected to Wi-Fi. That never happened with Ethernet.)
So I had to downgrade to Windows 7 (back then you had 30 days to rollback to the older version.)
You could also rollover from win 11 to win 10
@@ChrigamingDK Yeah, I know about that.
But the difference between back then and now is you have 10 days to rollback in the latest versions of Windows 10 (and 11 as well) instead of the 30 days we had before.
@@seireiart but for me, now i use win11 but i used to use 10, i tried to rollback but it was saying rollback to win7
Is this is a bug or something
The only way u can then upgrade to windows 10, is by getting the iso tool from microsoft, and downkiading it, but remember that it looses all ur data, so u need a usb to store them.@@mysteri0usmindd

I remember in 2013, I was gifted my first ever personal laptop, an Acer Aspire V5-122P with Windows 8/8.1 installed on it. As a low income family with very bad credit and on SSI, unfortunately my mom couldn’t quite afford to keep home Internet very long to run my laptop on our own WiFi. But the good news was that I figured out my neighbors across the road had a WiFi network w/o a password. I had to anchor my laptop with a curtain and thumbtacks clinging to a narrow ledge/window-sill, + network range was very rough depending on the wind/weather/time of day (I figured out WiFi strength seemed better in the dark/at night), although when it was good, it worked intermittently all the time and I always had to mess with it to fix it, and through experience I independently taught myself how to run a WiFi hotspot program to share internet to different phones and my android tablet. Unfortunately, the Acer laptop occasionally would take a few falls & stumbles and that essentially damaged the fan/charging port. In 2015, It then overheated and officially died when it refused to turn on for me anymore. The best news was this past year I came across a listing on eBay for an identical laptop and now I get to relive/experience my first ever laptop and all the memories again. But instead of the older Windows 8/8.1, it now has Windows 10 on it.
This is same experience for me back in 2015 when upgrading my 2009 laptop it takes so long to upgrade it due to hdd and 1gb ram but after it done im so happy with it.
I can relate to this video as I did this in August 2015. Just I did the Windows 8.1 to 10 upgrade.
I still remember how i upgraded my home notebook to windows 10, i was really excited for this. And i did not regret it. Ohhh Nostalgia hits me hard.....

Unfortunately, I couldn't upgrade at the time because my PC was so old, but I won't forget the Windows 10 upgrade icon that was in that bottom bar.
I remember how cool it was that it was a free upgrade for the first year maybe? I upgraded my family's desktop and my hand me down laptop to Windows 10 and it felt like such cool new technology.

Funny how the comments reflect my thoughts, except I had them for Windows XP and later for Windows 7. XP especially because Windows 95, 98, ME and 2000 all felt kinda identical so XP was a huge deal (and yeah, I had all of those for some reason, though I distinctly remember keeping one of those dual-booted for native DOS games)
In 2016, when was 13 years old when I was eager to update my four years old laptop that shows signs of about to be dead from Windows 7 to Windows 10, It was hard for me since I just know how to install large games at that time even installing cracked MS Office 2016. After so many upsets I was finally able to use Windows 10 on my own laptop until around 2 weeks later, my laptop died, I checked the motherbaord showing no signs of life, until I kept it. Maybe my laptop then was not suppose to hold Windows 10, but that gladness I did is so memorable for me then. Last 2020, my mother was able to buy me a laptop, and the joyfulness of using Windows 10 again was not the same as before especially, especially I prefer the old version of Windows 10 than the version 20H1 or 20H2. Now let's see typing this after installing Windows 11 on this laptop I am using right now.
I remember i installed a pre-release version of windows 10 on my laptop in the begining of 2015. All my class mates were using windows 8 or older and i was using the new windows 10. I felt like a genius 😆.

Crazy to think this was all 7 years ago, and I'm still using the same product key from my old windows 7 laptop from 2010 lmfao
Windows decided to change their rather harsh requirement on product keys that were put in the predecessors (7, vista, xp), so they are very open on what product keys are accepted and Windows's functionality without one (You can use the full Windows legally without a product key except personalizing the PC).
