Benn listening to Live in Pompeii for over 30 years. Its the only music that I cannot wear out no matter how much its played. Now this 5.1 version, in my new 13 speaker theater... whoa baby. It has another 30 to go (not sure if I do tho)

Which model did you use for the AI Upscaling. I also did an Upscale of Pompeii, but it wasn‘t that good.
I see you have the same problem with audi video sync that I also had. Think i fixed it by fixing the broken timestemps in my source video, which i guess is the same as yours (1974 Cut via Torrent). My Upscaling Software recognized a different Framerate than the Video had (in ffprobe and mediainfo) so this led the the AV desyncronisation.
And you used the 2016 remix soundtrack which I totally hate because the cymbals sound so broken with way to much high frequencies.
But as I said you did a very good job with the Video
I use different models for each video on my upscalings, but in this specific video I used Gaia High Quality v5. I should advise that, for a good upscaling, you'll need to combine different tools, not only upscale the video using some AI model.
About audio desync, it's not a desync, it's a problem from the film, they used some shots that doesn't match the audio (what the band is playing in video is not what the audio reproduces). I just had to adjust the fps to match the audio time from 2016 mix. I agree they destroyed some instruments (specially the drums), but I liked it with the upscaled video because it looks modern, giving a feeling of something new. In my opinion, we need a new audio mix, balanced between the original mix and 2016 mix.

But I got the lossless orignal audi file (quad quannel version) from somewhere and liked the sound much more than the remix. But for UA-cam it doesn‘t matter because of the bad audio compression and the low bitrate.
And I used Gaia HQ v1 (during the beta of video ai which was called gigapixel ai back then), so that should be the reason why your result is better.
One last Question: which software did you use for the comparison video on echoes pt. 1? I couldn‘t find a good software so i wrote a script for ffmpeg which does it but it is very time cosuming.
And something else: you wrote in your UA-cam Channel description that I can contact you via email but you forgot to write your email there.
Frame interpolation is the last step. If you interpolate before upscaling, it will take twice longer when you upscale and/or adjust/edit your video. Currently, my steps are: Find a good video source -> Cut (select frames) -> Apply some filter using AVISynth or another software -> Upscale to 4K using an AI model -> Edit and adjust 4K video using Davinci Resolve (this is the software I used for the comparison video) -> Interpolate frames using RIFE (CUDA) AI model.

This is one of the best looking AI upscaled music videos I have ever seen. Usually they range from terrible to decent but this one looks almost as good as the original film reel probably looked. I'm assuming you used AI interpolation too? Well done.
