Oh I will just get a safe deposit box.....says a lot of people. Government come in with one warrant and takes out 200 boxes with no probable cause. Think I will keep my stuff under the bed.
How do you know what size the opening is when searching online? I’ve read reviews that say a safe had the right internal dimensions to store a laptop but the door opening wasn’t wide enough to put a laptop in because the door is so thick and blocks some of the opening.
Good point. Most manufactures don't list that. You'd have to call to get measurements.

In North America garages and basement storage rooms can get quite cold in the winter (below 0 celcius), will the locks freeze preventing the floor safe from opening?
A dial would not.

@@kaito.h4057 the Burgwachter safes are great! Small but built very well to protect its contents. For the one with the scratch, you'll need to be local so we can deliver. We can't ship that one.

@@kaito.h4057 It's because of the shipping. We already paid to have it shipped to us and then we would have to pay again to have it shipped to you. The new versions of that safe (410, 420 and 440) are just as good and only a bit more than the scratched one.

What European ratings are equivalent to TL-15 and TL-30? An recommendations for small/medium size TL-15 and TL-30 burglary safe with at least 60 minute fire rating? I will be storing guns, jewelry, cash total value around $35,000.00. Need space for several watch rolls, a few hand guns, and legal,size documents.

All depends on the value of the content and build of the safe. Unfortunately, I've never had my hands on one of those so can't speak on them.
They're not safes, so unless you're trying to keep your firearms from a strong baby, no.

The Hollon safes are not ETL or UL Class 350 certified. The 2 hour fire rating is based on tests done by the safe manufacturer. No independent testing.

This is very informative and I appreciate it… however, is there any certain brand that is better than others? I’m just looking for a smaller, non-electronic combo safe with water and fire ratings (maybe burglary if possible).. reviews are so mixed and it’s difficult to decide-I just don’t want to buy something that’s going to break with my stuff in it. Lol.

Money no object best large gun safe?
Any TL15. That's the highest rating I've seen on a gun safe. AMSEC, Hollon and a few other's make them.

1:47 Unless the smaller safes are bolted to the floor and/or wall, can't someone just take the whole safe with them so they can have unlimited time to break into the it? Even the TL-15 you show @3:00 would need to weigh 300 lbs. to make sure a couple of men can't carry it away. I still don't know what safe Is best.

Even smaller safes are really heavy. Unless you get a really cheap one. I mean lifting a 200 pound safe is not an easy task. All safes can be broken into its just a matter of time and what your goal is for the safe. Average person is not going to take the safe.
