Hey guys! Sorry for missing last week's upload. It wasn't my fault, well okay technically it was but only because i fell on my holiday and hurt my ankle and my knee pretty bad, so i wasn't able to record and edit at the pace i originally planned. But fear not because i do plan on uploading lost 3x9 tomorrow, so technically you only had to wait a bit longer for a new reaction and i didn't actually miss a week. Hope you enjoy the reaction and see ya tomorrow xx
Just because a couple people went completely overboard with entitlement in regards to uploading of FREE content doesn't mean you need to apologize or explain anything.
one of the best episodes, Desmond is the best character and probably also the most important one, even if there are many characters that are important to the Island
"Is that the island? Why is the island such a bitch?!" That might be the first time anyone has called a landmass a bitch. 😂 I love this episode. Desmond episodes are so fantastic. They really make you root for him to succeed, win back Penny and prove that he is a "great man". The last line of this episode is one of the most memorable parts of the whole show.
My explanation is that Desmond's mind traveled back in time but with memories of the future and the woman in the shop also seems to see the future like Desmond or perhaps in more detail
One of the funniest things to notice when you rewatch Lost is that since the first season, Charlie has almost died several times, in the first episode he was almost hit by a huge piece of the plane, when Ethan hanged him and if it weren't for Jack insisting on To revive him he would have died right there, among other moments.
That's So Desmond. Here some interesting episode trivia for you, Lexie. On the advertising hoardings of the match Desmond was watching there were ads for Apollo Candy, the Hanso Foundation, Oceanic Airlines, Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack, Gannon Car Rentals, Butties Diapers, Expose, and Radio 103.5. Charlie's middle name Hieronymus is a variation of the name Geronimo ( as in Geronimo Jackson ) or Jerome. One of Thomas's ( Claire's bf / Aaron's dad ) paintings can be seen in Charles Widmore's office in 1995/1996. In 2004 the same painting is back in Claire & Thomas's apt in 1x10 | "Raised by Another". The Jewelry Store Lady wore a pin showing the Ouroboros, an ancient symbol of the snake eating it's own tail and a symbol in alchemy. When Desmond is seen having fallen and tripped over his can of paint of red paint, the brand name "FUTURE" is visible on the label. Desmond & Penny's famous picture now has very small changes to it, like shirt color, marina background, and Penny's positioning as well as facial expression. When Charlie is describing the events of the lightning strike, he says "two hours later lightning strikes" but in the original circumstances, Desmond pitched the rod only minutes before. According to the shows producers, Desmond really did travel back in time, and the events he relived occurred in 1996. Desmond's "Flashback" in this episode is know as a "Time Slip" or "Mind Traveling". When the man wearing red shoes gets killed, his legs are poking out of the wreckage, reminiscent of the ruby slippers and the crushed Wicked Witch of the East. Fionnula Flanagan's who plays the jewelry Lady stared in "The Others" with Nicole Kidman, which is supposedly another adaptation of the 1898 novella "The Turn of the Screw" ( the key holding book in the Hatch bookcase ) by Henry James. Another adaptation is Mike Flanagan's "Haunting of Bly Manor".
The previous episode dropped a tiny hint of time travel when it was shown that the character named "Aldo" was reading a book called "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking. Its a book on Astrophysics and black holes, worm holes and time travel for laymen.
Also when Sayid and Hurley are listening to the radio and and old song plays. Sayid speculates that the signal may have bounced off the atmosphere or something for many years, and Hurley says "Or, anytime. Just kidding, dude." (confirmed by Lindelof/Cuse). i've also wondered if Hurley's comment "Loop, dude. Loop." was meant to be one, but I know that's a stretch lol.
That painting of the Polar Bear in Widmore's London office in 1996 is a copy of the same painting seen in 2004 in Claire's Australian apartment in Season 1 episode 10.
@Blobby3822 You're right that Widmore would have the original and that Claire would have a copy. Though it is likely the very same single prop painted by the Lost Producer, Jack Bender in both episodes.
I never noticed! Thanks! P.S. I went to s1 e10 and looked through all scenes in Claire's apartment and I didn't find it. Although I laughed hard about Thomas's paintings. LMAO. Can you please help me to find where the picture is in Claire's home? Like what timing in the episode? Thank you so much in advance!
When Desmond meets Charlie in London in 1996, Charlie is singing the well known Oasis song, "Wonderwall". He is singing the part that says "Because maybe, you're gonna be the one who saves me".
@x_trio_3_po333 Drive Shaft is based on the band Oasis (two feuding brothers from Manchester, one named Liam). You All Everybody sounds really similar to Oasis' song Rock'N'Roll Star. Here's a mashup of the two: ua-cam.com/video/OiHulf2C9Jk/v-deo.htmlsi=zcRDFcujHNKyBjoB
I thought it was very appropriate to hear Sarah Mclachlan's song, "Building A Mystery" in this episode even though that song wasn't released until 1997, a year after Desmond's interview with Mr. Widmore.
I've been waiting patiently for this episode to drop, I literally jumped up and down when I saw it. How good are Desmond episodes? Something about Penny & Desmond, like Rose and Bernard, or Jin and Sun.. they're flawed, but yet, also so sweet and wholesome. Welcome to the halfway point of the entire series. ( I think you'll be there in a couple of episodes) Crazy hey?
No, those are not hallucinations... What you see happening in the island really happens and what you see happening outside the island really happens as well
Every Desmond episode is a tear-jerker and a masterpiece. And ... on this show ANYTHING is possible 😉 If it had gone on for 20 seasons I wouldn't have put it past the writers to introduce Godzilla at some point 😆
Also I think it's odd that Jack threatened to kill Ben and coerced the Others into releasing Kate and Sawyer and you think it's "messed up" that they decided not to release him 😆
Um... No. I mean, THE Desmond episode of season 3, sure. But the ultimate Desmond episode is next season. The greatest episode ever. Probably of any TV series.
07:30 Oh,look. King George. X-/ 09:13 - 09:15"We _are_ on an island:this is England."😄 13:30 - 13:42 I'm sorry...I thought we were watching"Lost"...did we switch to"Final Destination"and no one told me?;-P 17:54 - 18:52 "I wasn't saving Claire,Charlie...I was saving you."😰 20:07 - 20:19 🤯
No, he did time travel. Or at least his consciousness did. And it changed small things that had already happened because he did things slightly differently.
Desmond doesn't see the future. Only what will happen if he doesn't do something to stop it. He saw Locke's speech and the speech happened because he didn't stop it. He saw Charlie's various deaths but prevented them. So Charlie being electrocuted or drowned is not the future but would have been the result of Desmond's inaction. So Desmond doesn't see the future but a possibility.
This show is the biggest disappointment ever. I feel sorry for everyone that gets hooked like we all did during syndication. I think we need to warn reactors what they just stepped in.
@@dougfisher1266 Yes I still would have bothered. Its all about the journey (e.g. Character development, mystery development). The final destination was tolerable as it could not have ended any other way without having to include 2 or 3 more explanatory seasons. (which I wouldn't have objected to in either case). But other shows had far worse endings, which I won't name here.

The Desmond episodes are the best ones. The highest rated episode ever is one.
This episode is definitely a favourite I love Desmond and the use of time travel and premonition in this one

Godzilla? Eh why not, we have the giant foot with 4 toes and the Black Rock in the middle of the jungle, why not Godzilla... or maybe King Kong.

Remember the Lilia episode of Agatha All Along.
STFU with the spoilers, man.
Why is it Charlie? We all gotta die sometime.
Not Charile!!!
Turns out this Ekko wasn't a boy savior
God help us all
Just for you to know, next episode is a bomb. You dont need to upload it.
The episode in itself is ok. The flashbacks are silly. Still one of the two duds in this exceptional season.
It's fine ... its suckitude is way overrated. Also, Jack's line about his tats at the end, while being ridiculous, is also lowkey badass.
It's my least favorite episode, but I'll still watch it...
