68-70 chargers iconic. From Bullit to Crazy Larry Dirty Mary. These cars were in so many movies. My dream car since junior high. When I turned 23 I bought my dream. 57 now and still my favorite. Somebody will buy it with all the issues it has and being a clone. These cars are getting harder to find and prices are outrageous.
"..being a Clone"? what are you saying? it's not a legit Charger R/T?
This old R / t means road and track for this car. Rag tops can be a problem and they can be dealt with very easily , if you know of what to do for it. The body is very nice and do's not need very much in order to make her a real winner for show. Gust give some love and you will have the best ride of your life .Like her to no end. Nice car !
Over $50k and the wipers, horn and heater controls don't work? Really? Something wrong with that picture!
Its a 1970 charger…
Yes, really.
That is how valuable these cars are. If everything worked and it was an excellent condition, you are looking at 80 grand Plus.
I just decoded the fender tag on this car. THIS IS NOT A REAL R/T, THIS IS A 318 CAR. It was built on the 8th of August 1969. This car is only worth 35,000 at most due to this fact.
Yes I showed you that on the piece of paper , if you can find me this car for $35,000 I’ll buy a trainload. Good luck
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate well I found a 69 318 charger for 20
Horn Never works on Your cars lol. It’s funny how the Horn, Blower motor or Wipers never work. Sharp looking car though !
Did you get the headlights to work
My all-time favorite 💪 car from 68'-70'! ..Looks good and 440 sounds strong..Glad to see your getting more Mopars on the lot..
Thanks 👍
You're absolutely right , sometimes I like the 68 best other times the 69/70 . But before 68 and after 70 they weren't even close .
70 500 I owned. Was forced to sale..just to buy Xmas for kids a few yrs back.. Divorce then disabilities an could hold job anymore. I miss her but she was second to only kids. I rebounded slightly an bought a 10 month old 2018 Challenger R/T. A newer ride so I don't have to work on and still Mopar. But nothing will be the same, old Mopars rule and depending on your fave...all the older ones rule!!
@@leecordell7418 Congrats on the newer Mopar . Everything is better on modern cars BUT they do lack the old school vibe .
Mine too 💪💪💯🔥
Another beauty! 1970 was such an awesome year for the Big 3. And the AMC Javelin.
Sounds like the motor is pinging when you get on it. Beautiful car, glws!
Crappy low octane gas! These cars like the good stuff!
Easy easy !!!!!!! U touch everything like your looking to break it be gentle !!!!!!!
That is in fact a 727 Transmission, not a 904. Looks good from 20', but it has alot of Gremlins like the rocker panels and when
you open the trunk. Good candidate for a resto though. Thanks for the video! Keep em coming.
One cool ride from 1970
That is one sweet car 👍👍👍. Love these cars
Hey Nick nice looking car but when you click the headlights on the front's did not drop to show the headlights being on and I did not see the turn signals at all either so just to let you know
Make you wonder how excited the original owner felt when he first bought car off the lot. Could been a Vietnam vet
the build paper says 318 lol
They fixed that. ;)
@@morecowbell69 You can say that and you'll be correct. However, it can ALSO be said that you can't buy a REAL R/T - 440 charger in the same condition for such money either. You'd have to pay much more.
So what you're saying is, people shouldn't make cheaper clones and give people options? The car wont care or know it didn't come from Dodge with a 440.
Not everyone is a car collector. Some people just want a fun hot rod to drive so why pay more for a driver than you have too?
@@morecowbell69 Want one already done, it will cost you a hell of a lot more than 50k. You gotta pay if you wanna play. No one rides for free.
@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism ive told people time and time again dont buy these cars trade mopars for mopars and you beat this silly game every time!
@@joepicker6554 Nice. So how far ahead are you now?
all those paint bubbles are rust.. It's been painted to cover the rust.. But priced right
yep they didnt even trim the quarter panels back dead give away wide lips in wheel well and door jambs ... slapped on quarters and a cover up job on paint!!
Sorry but for 52 grand, everything should be functioning properly.
I'm not a fan of the yellow but that would all change if I owned this car
It not going to last long this automobile that everyone wants 👍
I remember that distinctive sound back in the 70's. :)
Anyone else notice that 68 Charger pass by @5:35?
Lol nice see.
🤓 😉 🤓
Good eye !
Didn't catch it I had to go back it was a nice one also I love these cars
good catch i paused it on 5;36 see it good
Re: windshield wipers drawing current but not moving, if they're left sitting without running the wipers for any length of time the damn pivots get stiff and/or seize up, they CAN be unseized.
You’re steering wheel is crooked. Check alignment and fix.
i'm a mopar collector (A Bodies) in Pittsburgh and this 70 Charger has a very reasonable price given how INSANE some prices are for 68-70 Chargers currently. this Charger would be a MUCH better car to start with to build a "nice and correct" mopar than to buy one of the MANY "rusted junk" Chargers that are all over the internet for $25k or more.
Your a collector? I have a 1970 340 duster (true H code car) 727 3.91 rear. What is the range in price for them?
@@michaelball760 hi Michael.... i collect A-body mopars (7 68-69 Barracudas) and a 1970 Duster is an "A-body" mopar. A-body mopars are not worth as much as the "B-body" (Roadrunner, GTX) and E-body (Cuda, Challenger) cars. the 70 Duster 340 is a desirable car but it is limited in value. i have no idea what kind of mechanical or body condition your car is in, however, if i assume it is a very nice "driver" and not a fully restored "trailer queen" and it's all stock with everything working the way it should, the car would probably sell between $30k-$40k. if it has several options and is painted in one of the "high-impact" colors (Plumb Crazy purple, Lime Light green, or maybe Tor-red) and it has the blacked out hood with scoops and the "340 Wedge" decal on it, a price above $40k would not be unreasonable. if the car is in "average" condition but runs OK, the price range would be probably $25k - $30k. the 340 was the largest motor you could get in a 1970 Duster unlike the B and E-body cars. i hope this helps.
Might be a bit high. But it's a Mopar! It will go just like the light blue 69 with the 318 in it went. Mopar💯💪🇺🇸
We're getting some of that same yoyo weather where I live in the Ozarks. It was 25 this morning at 7am.
Nice! Glad we are getting sum mopars haha i got a 66 charger with a 440
My dream car.
But this one needs a lot of interior restoration.
Not a real R/T 440 car but still nice. At least you guys are honest showing that fact sheet that the car originally was a 318 car.
Noticed that also on the fact sheet
Beautiful car and the perfect color
The trunk key (the one that's round) also operates the console and glove box lock
440 GOT SOME GO LOL
Nice car and great price 😀 it doesn't matter if it needs some work to it but you just priced it right bro 😹
Sweet. Almost enough to make me a Mopar guy but I'm saving myself for an E-body.
👍👍Nice!!!!!!😍
70 charger was the first car I drove. It had a 318 and didn't sound like that
People can say whatever they want to, but these cars are very rare and you'll pay the money for these cars, they are very rare and definitely a must have in a collection 👍🔥 Nick sweet ride and this won't last long at all.
Very cool.
That rust on the back corner is in the worst spot possible. It would need to be addressed immediately to maintain pristine. So spend 50k and can't drive it till the rust is fixed and stopped.
You can deffs drive it, however if it gets washed or buffed out a few more times all them bubbles are just waiting to surface. Sick car it just needs a proper resto
Very cool classic street muscle test drive!
Glad you liked it!
When i had my 69 Charger resprayed it cost me $600 (in 1985) and the paintjob was far better than this example.
Probably one of the Nicer ones i seen come through
the lot lately, well worth the Money,🤑🤑 thanks Nick.
Beautiful car 52000 is closed if you watch one of the big auctions like Mecum they go for that and then some
Maple isn't Mecum! Nice try oh smh
Awesome 70 charger man 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks 👍
Damn I would love to own that
1970Superbee, 1968-1970 Charger. I love it. 🎸🎸🎸⛽⛽🐱
Nice car
Put the mat back in before you shut the truck lid bro 😹.
Какие классные тачки в Америке
COOL
If I had 51,000 I would be right there!
71 steering wheel
Always.....
Maple Motors prices are unbelievable! 💯 😎 💯
You won't find a '70 for that price in that condition
anywhere!!! 💯 💯 💯
These people live in a dream world saying you can buy a 70 charger for 35k.
Cause they are not currently trying to buy one lol
Ya know something Nik, that’s a pretty cool job you have there
$51,900 for a car with no heat, no windshield wipers, and, of course, no horn.
I realize this is one of the very desirable classic muscle cars, but you guys could get the heat and the windshield wipers working for that price.
EXACTLY!!!! $50k the car better be FLAWLESS! And paint runs/bubbles... the water seaps are my biggest concern...
I don’t know if you checked out the price on new muscle/performance cars but they are through the roof . These are amazing looking cars , after 1970 the style took a serious nosedive on these Mopars .
If I could find them at a lower price , a perfect Charger nowadays is $100k

@@yodoglover400 I don’t know what your reply means .
Did they ever catch the guy who stole the a/c compressor from this car???
I have a theory that blueish 68 that flew by is on the lot!!!!!!!!
No Horn!? Damn it! ✌😂✌
nice ride !
Thanks!
it has a TF 8/727 transmission,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
there is 100 000 in the center console
year one and,classic car parts!
Thought Nick was about to bust a rap with that intro music.
Coming up on the rear, I'm 55 going on 12
It’s a real r/t or not ?
Don't forget the mat bro 😹
You are on the wrong side bro you have to go on the other side of the pumps bro.
Is it a factory charger R/T ?
The paper says 318 and 904. The car looks like it has most of the R/T parts.
Wow
Don't forget to win the wipers do not work
Was this not originally an AC car ?? Never seen one with dash vents - including the two that i owned - that wasnt.
Hmmmmm…….🤔🤔🤔
$3500 Cash..😆
Forty n ship it
😮
👍🔥😝🔥👍
These don’t come along that often. Which is why it’s a little higher $.
40 degree is cold nick? Dang.
Sure it is . That's beach with a jacket weather .
The tank is on your side bro 😹.
I like this guy.
If my granddaddy owned the place like his does, I’d be test driving all the cars too!
Why does the paper info say 318 ci ?
Wrong steering wheel
🏆Awesome ride🏆can't go wrong , buy it fix up the little things🤔 if you don't like it, sell it at Barrett-Jackson make a🍀 killing😆✌️
I LIKE THE DUKE CAR BUT I BET THIS ONE FASTER LOL
You didn't check your head lights bro 😹.
Top is rotting and hard, little imperfection there. Someone got took on this one.
I wish I had the money because I would take that Charger off your hands in a heartbeat! I see alot of these idiot haters posting shit about this beautiful car That's been restored! I've seen people pay the same amount for a non running rust bucket?! Great job you're doing & love Mopars!
Nice ride.. wish I had an extra $50k burning a hole in my pocket.
Maybe. PASS on This🤔🤔
That's a good-looking car Nick.. and I didn't even use the f-word I'm proud of myself.
Ya $ 52 thousand for 69 not rt !. 318 with a r/v 440 ? With wireing problems ? More like 39 housand more like it !
What do you carry in that back pack that's in every video?
Camera gear , it’s all listed in the description.
What's up nick this Joseph ready to roll
That's cheap for a Charger nowadays. Shouldnt be around long 👍
Another Mopar Monday...Thanks Nick!
That 6 gallons o gas gone already- lol
Beautiful car shame it's an auto
Must be half off day😁
take it easy on the turn signals test you are to rough on stuff
Allways man handling shit on the interior.
Nothing I can do when stuff is stuck and stiff but thanks for telling me how to treat my own car.
