SniderTron 3000 very true. We've had some scattered storms throw monsoon season so I feel you about humidity. Makes working in a bakery more challenging haha.

Why are they so heavy??? My 4x4 v6 aluminum block 2014 4x4 weighs 5300 lbs but my 86 2500 4x4 square body only weighs 5200 lbs with a cast iron v8... hmm wonder why they haven't improved fuel mileage in the passed 30 years lmao

I don't have the spare. I was going to put a roll pan on it but I still pull trailers with it occasionally.

67-72 generally weigh 3350ish w/ sbc, th350 swb. Lwb adds like 100lbs, square body is pretty much identical so 3450+ w.e. a bbc weighs over a sbc.

It's doable. I had this truck on the scales at US131 and with me in it it was 4,370 with 1/3 tank of E85, tailgate on, etc. Full street weight.
I'm 4460 on a nbs 99 Silverado rcsb
What exhaust are you running?
KamronLsx right now it's just stock exhaust manifolds, hollowed cats, and straight piped before the axle.
Stepside weighs approx100lbs less.
