All of my family has been in the car business they would say you can tell the actual miles on a vehicle by the wear on the interior especially the brake and gas pedals
I’m 67 and mostly agree , I have dropped the backends of some of my trucks ( slightly) through the years , if they had the blocks I remove them ( an inch and a half). I have a o3 low mile that just sits in the garage. I just look at it ha ha.. got other gm full size truck n suv,,, grand kids n wife’s stand up bass (Bluegrass) keeps us from using it. ( and the catch -22 of low miles ). Any way I am considering doin the shackle drop for 3 inch to level it.. I got the 2020 17 inch aluminum grandpa factory wheels ( plus the mudflats for that same look).
I’m a big fan at these vehicles, my three daughters (during high school and college ) were kept in these Shortbed regular cabs with the 5.3 the 4.8 .. I was buying work trucks w/t .. the 4.8 was quicker revving,,, more like a jackrabbit. The whole family sooner picked those keys( 4.8) Wife drove suburbans. I had a company truck. That o3 with the 4.8 . I paid eight grand for it when it was three years old., sold it for eight grand 13 years later. It had 385,000 miles on it. Only sold it because the last kid got her own car after graduating college. It was meticulously maintained mechanically and appearance wise. Underneath look like it was two years old from the desert state.( but from Georgia.) ( I tend to wash underneath my vehicles once a year.) ( also when I took the bed off to change the fuel pump, detailed the chassis / frame with semi gloss black - the white factory paint under looked amazing !). (It was a white truck - as a simple guy - I prefer a white vehicles just in case the air goes out, also it’s cooler here in Georgia,, paint does not oxidize as easy - at least you can’t tell lol but we do keep them waxed / sunshades in . Makes a big difference when you keep vehicles as long as I do. The sun is a killer. We use our garages for our vehicles . And if it does sit out we do the extra to protect them . The 4. 8 reminded me of my dad’s 283 with the ‘power pack ‘ 4 bolt mains / 4 barrel 64 el Camino with 4:11 rear gears .. quick !
Ever considered selling gmt800 SUVs? Im in alot of the Suburban groups and those 8.1 2500 Suburbans are well sought after. Buyers out there willing to pay top dollar. Just a thought man. Keep grindin 💪🏾
In my opinion the GMT800 SUV market hasn’t fully came around.. lots of them are junk and the people that generally look for them are on a really cheap budget.. unless they are an educated enthusiast.. which gets pretty slim with the Tahoe/Suburban market
I have a 2000 GMC Sierra long bed 1504.8 Vortech V8 I need ideas on how to fix it up trick it out a little bit reach out to me brother I like what that truck looks like. Give me some idea ideas
