Would not make sense to discontinue a BLNR and have two Sprite variations 😂 Coke and Pepsi are too similar, so it probably won’t happen either, so let’s just wait and not take every bait the dealers give us..
Austin I'm thinking they're going to take away the lefty sprite making it a collectable piece. Remember the oyster perpetuals only ran for a little more than a year
Correct, all GMT SS they will do black with the different color. And BLRO will be only on white gold. They will introduce black and red. It makes no sense to have four Pepsi in their catalog.
My advice for you: less watch videos and more guitar practice. You'll thank me when you get that record deal, and don't have to pretend to be Jimmy Page in your bedroom anymore. I'm sure that contract is right around the corner.
Increase production???? They actually increase production every single year with around 50.000 watches, so when would it be enough according to you? 1 million watches a year is more then enough, for a luxury brand
@@robertvanderpoel7721 the movement upgrade and redesign to the explorer was awesome but where talking about the GMT master2 a color change and a almost rare to get watch at retail. There in demand but if you’re on a list and it gets discontinued then you start over. If AD’s have a watch they would love to sell it but they’re not getting that inventory.
all Rolex would have to do to make the new Sprite is spin the dial 180 degrees and that is it. Probably as mindless as the Moonshine Swatch "gold hand".
Dealers have a vested interest in fuelling these rumours of discontinuation. Two years ago they pushed the price of the Air-King to around £10000 saying it was going for good. They sold a fair number at this price too since they'd bought the frogs to turn into princes. We all know what's happened since. Dealers will lowball you on the new model. Only buy the watches you want then you won't be suckered. No reflection on Austin here. He's enjoying his annual game but for some this is scalping time.
Nope. It’s the white Gold GMT II versions which will probably go as none in stock for about 10 months (Meteorite & blue dials). Mentioned this 2 months ago.
More likely nothing happens this with steel GMT, Daytona, Sub , and no koka kola, demand still strong. See a change for milgauss , new gold subs, gold exp, new skydweller its off the radar and thats when they hit you with a change.
as a proud owner of a 2021 'BATGIRL' , if it is discontinued- does the value automatically rise ? its a keeper for me, curious on your thoughts. thanks. AD. ~. JDS/CT
I agree that the Batman would go up in value, but it’s not that simple. Currently the cheapest GMT-Master II (6 digit) is the discontinued all-black. The second cheapest is the discontinued two-tone black and yellow gold. For some reasons, the in-production GMTs fetch a higher value.
The Instagram user I mentioned used Photoshop to mock up the images. So, he has no inside knowledge, has burned his creditability, and is worthless as a source. So, those are my thoughts on that schmuck. As for the BLNR being discontinued, it's obviously not. I feel like that will be the next GMT to go, but Rolex is unpredictable...so who knows.
BLRO is also available in precious metal and since Rolex wants people to upgrade to precious metal for their hot models they maybe want those people who are in the market for a stainless steel Pepsi to go to Tudor.
Considering why BLNR came out in the beggining, it's a matter of time that batman/girl would discontinue. Rolex can make pepsi color on cerachrome, and there's no point holding that BLNR color. Green is the Rolex not blue.
Hi Alex! I'm taking a last minute trip to Tokyo...for just couple days. Are there several shops you recommend for neo vintage Rolex? Love your watch buying tips, so figured you're the one to ask!
I don't think Rolex will do this, but they should. There are too many GMTs right now: Pepsi, batman/girl, sprite and Rootbeer. It's watering down the model line. They need to consolidate. Ideally, discontinue the left handed sprite and release a right handed. And then discontinue the BLNR. Keep sprite in the game for 5-7 years, then replace with a coke.
We don’t know if bezel options means the line is watered down as we don’t know production number. For example, if the overall amount of GMT-Masters being produced is the same as the Submariner, having four different bezel options makes your Batman more rare as it is produced in fewer examples
Regardless of the reality of a right-hand Sprite, I think the BLNR is on its last legs… I agree with some of the others here that it’s the most likely to go.
The leaks are coming out faster than Austin can make the videos! I saw today that a platinum Daytona on OF is on the way. 👀 Keep an eye out kids. This source hes reference is real.
@@jh-il5sb exactly. Going “direct” wouldn’t save money, in fact it would probably require them to add overhead to manage it. It’s 99% outsourced to ADs as is.

You could be right. But aesthetics being equal, people seem to prefer the latest technology. That's why the later 16570 and 16710 with the 3186 movements go for more than the earlier ones with the 3185 movements. "First" can lose its appeal when there is something "better" to compete with it, with no aesthetic trade-off.
The best thing for Rolex would be to not release anything this year.
Yes and just fulfil back orders from ADs.
They most likely will not - well not anything that you or I could get our hands on!
I agree 100% and honor their existing wait list.
I'm left handed and DONT LIKE THE LEFT HAND DRIVE AND LEFT DATE WINDOW I like regular watches wear them on my right keep it up Austin God bless
Why have crown guards on a LHD if the crown 👑 is protected by the length of your arm?
Love the color hate the left hand
Right hand drive sprite 🙌🏻
I want a destro Sprite simply because there aren’t many watches for us lefties!
imagine the shitstorm from the pepsi fanboys if the BLRO is the one which gets discontinued 😂😂
This is the 5th year to hear about BLNR expected to discontinue, it won't
wear the sprite upside down its a right handed watch.. dont thank me

@Watch Symposium I can see them climbing up somewhere in the $30-$40k range. They're already at $23k usd even after the Grey market price adjustments.
Batman and bat girl gone!!!
Just purely speculating… BLRO will be gone soon. 😂😂😂

Not a huge fan of the sprite. Good riddance for the batman. All Rolex seem way too hyped up at this point.
My SA offered me a BLNR but I am not able to add another Rolex this year. It would be my next watch next year.
The market doesn’t seem to anticipate the discontinuation of the Batman (Chrono24 price trend).
