[Chorus:]
Freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose
And nothing isn’t worth nothing but its free
Feeling good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues
And buddy, that was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee

Amen brother ❤
😂 he brought Absolutely nothing to the song
his voice is like a river full of velvety waters. love him

Golden voice sir

What a great comment. Couldn't have said it better. Thanks. /CD
still, janis owns this song start to finish
imagine hearing janis and cash do a duet of this song, must be what heaven sounds like
Johnny and Kris*
Janis joplins version of this song is the worst one in my opinion. Johnny, kris, and Waylon all had good ones, and Gordon light foot did well too. But janis’s was not nearly as good.
@@randfreres3943 Agree!!!
@@randfreres3943 Jerry Lee Lewis ans Charley Pride have good versions also.
@@randfreres3943 Another great Version is by Roger Miller!!!
Discovered Johnny cash 25 years ago after my father passed away. He used to call me Johnny Yuma. Found out why he called that after listening to one of Johnnies songs. I was only 8 years old or so at the time but these are memories I will never forget. Thank you mr cash.
Lots of love to you ❤️.. Rip Dad and Johnny :) ✌🏼
I’ve never heard this version until tonight, he puts a whole different spin on the song! Makes it his own!
Hello Rebecca how are you doing today dear I hope all is well with you and your family? Have a nice day.
If you liked this, look up The Statler Brothers version. Much respect to Johnny, but the Statler version is my alltime favorite, by far.
The man in black is magic for everything..RIP for his légende..un fan français
You should look up Charley Price's version. There is the live and the record version. I think the record version is his best. But his is also from the heart. I think his better than Johnny Cash although he did a fantastic job
Johnny did this version on the Flip Wilson also
You brought so much joy into my life, thank you Johnny
Johnny is like one of America's favorite artists and daddies. February 26, 1932 ♥️
Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose ...
But something to prove
Thankyou Johnny Cash, pure gold and legend R.I.P.🙏🏻
Thank you, Johnny, for always being there for me when nobody else is
❤
Allowing other singers to sing Me and Bobby McGee, the song he wrote and sang, was one of many Kris Kristofferson's many gifts to this world. Great job to Johnny Cash, Roger Miller and others. And of course, Janis Joplin!!!!!!!!
Er war der größte Country Sänger aller Zeiten!!!
I came across Janis Joplin's songs in 2012. And this one is my favourite. But Johnny Cash took it to another height altogether. If Janis had the hungry haste of river in voice, Johnny reflects ocean's tireless waiting.
You've described it so well!
I reccomend you listen also to Kristofferson's version. He wrote the song, and his version of it is closer to this one but it has it's own quality to it.
@@reuvinvids Hey, thanks for the recommendation. I listened to it, and I was mesmerized.
Reba also has her own very good rendition!
Good. Like the 70
Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose ...
Una voce indimenticabile, unica, straordinaria.
So true !!!
JOHNNY CASH sera toujours le plus grand
Johnny Cash was great, he honored other artists like in this case his friend Kris Kristofferson.
That voice...so smooth and yet has that slight edge to give any song that extra kick, amazing cover.
diese Aufnahme ist so perfekt.
Two great performances by Johnny Cash, "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Sunday Morning Coming Down," both written by the great Kris Kristofferson .
Tyler Leech me and Bobby McGee was written by roger miller
todd jensen no
Kyle Woods sorry first performed by roger miller
@@iowafarmhandonajohndeere5902 correct. Kris also sang it but he definitely wasn't known for his voice. That man could rip your heart out with his writing
Johnny Cash = Badass
No no badass = Johnny Cash! 😉
If something ever is perfect it is Johnny Cash
So fucking bomb, excellent cover
Johnny Cash is one of my top favorites Country music legends, I could watch and listen to him play the guitar for hours on,..but my favorite version to this song is by Charley Pride. R.I.P. to both Country music icons. 💖💖
A man with a golden voice and expression
👩🏫 He was perfection 🎸 about all that he did. No doubt about it. What a 🎙Man.
Respect Johnny Cash....
Timeless Classic he is...moving people, swaying their heart across tim, throughout the globe, across bounderies.... Love and respect from India...
Спасибо! Великая песня, великий Кэш!
Been listening to Johnny Cash for 50 yrs now. I was a little kid back then who did not even know English yet (my second language). This version still makes me want to melt.... ;-)
A legend.
Quelle voix, mon Dieu...
Kinda haunting in a way. Love it.
Красивий чоловік, красивий голос.... Жаль, зараз нічого цього вже нема. На жаль. На превеликий жаль!...

Johnny Cash - Me and Bobby McGee
Busted flat in baton rouge, waiting for the train
Feelin about its faded as my jeans
Bobby flag the diesel down just before it rained
Took us all the way to new orleans
Then i pulled my harpoon out of my dirty red bandana
And was blowin sad while bobby sang the blues
With them windshield wipers clapping time
andBobby´s hands and mine we finally
sang up every songThat driver knew
Freedoms just another word for nothin left to lose
nothin aint worth nothin but its free, yes is free
Feelin good was easy, lord, while bobby sang the blues
Feeling good was good enough for me, for me,
Good enough for me and Bobby McGee
From the coalmines of kentucky to the california sun
Bobby shared the secrets of my soul
Standin right beside me Lord through everythin I done
And every night she kept me from the cold
And then one day near Salinas, lord, I let her slip away
lookin for the home I hope she´ll find
and Id trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday
Holdin bobbys body next to mine
this is the best of cash
The Voice and the Guitar - Thanks Johnny
אין זמרים כאלה היום
Charley Pride also has a different version. It’s wonderful. They are both wonderful.
Ich liebe diesen Song 😊und besonders von ihm 👍👍👍

I listened to this not expecting to like it. Pleasantly surprised.

Boy there are so many mistakes in your lyrics
@@Pate-pn9ob I'm very sorry for the errors found in my lyrics. This version is very different from the original, it includes words that are not in the original song, I will correct it. thanks for the observation my friend

MY HEART!!! this is perfection
Thank you, Johnny; you are still the very best. You vibration still touches all hearts.
its a prayer sung by a angel
Best version.
Can never get tired if this song love how he sings it
Fantástic! Thank you!
It is not just that Janice Joplin sang this first; the lyrics always seemed to me to be from a female's point of view. Hearing this sung by a man, really puts a spin on it. Not many straight male artists could pull this off. Even fewer would try. Johnny Cash's open mind is a big as his talent and as his heart. Always authentic in everything he did.
Janis and Johnny sang this in their own way and both nailed in my opinion I don’t think one didn’t do it better than the other
This is so beautiful holy
John did an awesome job on that song. Written by Kris.
The King ! Amazing Star bless you !
Love Johnny and his cover of KK's song but Gordon Lightfoot's cover is my favorite. God Bless, Johnny. He is singing with the Lord his Savior. Thanks for memories, Johnny and Precious Memories they were.
I agree. Gordon Lightfoot did the best cover of this great song. I love Johnny Cash too, he was something special.
Greetings from Sweden
Oui un grand merci. Johnny cash ça fait du bien merci..

NICE TECHNIC ON GUITAR)
Great rendition!
Fun fact:
This is the actual recording, which Johnny though was the rehearsal.
Back then in Denmark we had a competent producer, who believed in making things authentic.
Would love to hear your version of me and Bobby McGhee
Well in the past people could actully sing live like it was on the CD or whatever it is called in the past :)
