Hey Aasmon! Just wondering if it's still possible to get the llothien Prowler from withered army training and world quests in suramar? Or can u just get it from one of them or can you still even get it at all. Thank you!
9:50 the original America's Army game had an honor system, where you start at 10 and can work your way up to 100. I think I got into the 70s or 80s by the time the game died. Anyway, there was a 15 honor minimum to play Special Forces, and different servers had different honor requirements to play (some were "newb" servers for honor 10-15, others were "veteran" servers for 30+, but most were 10+), but other than that, honor was virtually useless. And yet it was among the more popular FPS games at the time, competing with games like Medal of Honor and Counter-Strike. People played games back then to play games, and not because of some achievement status or cosmetic upgrade.
they have the upgrade tokens for the argus trinkets to compensate for not being lucky on the lego trink. so why not for other gear.... utilise repeat drops in the forge to bump up ur gear perhaps?
Warforging/titanforging should be a slow progression system inside of raid progression. As in, you should have some currency similar to oblitorum ash that can warforge/titanforge gear - but the *whole system* should be scaled back. For example, normal drops 550 gear, herioc - 565, mythic - 580. Warforge gets you 5 more ilevels, titanforge 15. Gear can still forge randomly, but it's rare and just viewed as a freebie. You would be able to war/titanforge gear with items you don't need instead of just vendoring them with this system.
Legion has SO MUCH content! I'm still happy (and hopeful) for a September 21st release date cause as you said, there's still so much to achieve from now until then.
I think if they did solo Q, it should be class specific, only warrior vs warrior 1v1, ect. that would be neat for just bragging rights, and the reward maybe being a class mounts? not sure
Theres a shit load of content to do atm. Antorus (most guilds are still either finishing HC or doing Mythic), if you enjoy collecting stuff, theres a shit load of gear to collect from Legion alone, With the allied races you now have 4 "new" leveling experiences (if u want the tmog set ofc). That alone should give you a few more weeks of content. Beta/Alpha will mostlikely start in a week or two, and lets not forget about the BFA Pre-Patch (prob 1 or 2 months before the actual release). In short, unless you are one of those haters, there's loads of stuff to do until BFA comes out.
Honor talents moving down to 3 options is the best solution by far. The problem with the system is that it's so bloated with random shit you'd never actually take in a competitive environment. I've gotten nine 2k elite sets done this expansion and I'm happy to say that pvp is actually pretty balanced. Every spec has a comp it can play, and every good comp is viable (loads of comps). Letting players have control over their stats breaks pvp too much. That is how it was in WoD, and the problem was classes would just stack 2 overpowered stats for them. There was no room for mediocre comps. The difference between a tier 1 comp and a tier 2 comp was miles apart. This is all because blizzard couldn't control player damage how they wanted.
Razenoid Arcanoth tfw Frost Dks do double everyone’s dmg by default because their class is stupidly broken. The only time stats made a massive difference in pvp was during like pre mop era. Yeah you could bring pve gear in wod arena but it hardly made a difference and was rarely done. The only player that made it effective that I knew of was wallirikz with his haste pve gear on his lock. Blizzard also has no clue on how to use their templates as well considering Eles get like 30% haste baseline. The main stat and Versi nerfs are pure laziness. I liked it before when they didn’t have control over all that shit so their only options where to nerf player abilities and talents which required more thought than a 5% str nerf because for example let’s say that Mortal strike is doing too much damage but blizz won’t take the time to look into something like that so they just nerf the main stat and take the class out of the meta.
I'm happy about the release date, because I came back to WoW much later than everyone else. I started wayyy into Legion, so at least this gives me a chance to complete everything I want to. I'm currently working my way through Suramar to unlock the Nightborne since I haven't even set foot there, like ever!
Every since they removed pvp gear from being the main focus, pvp has been dead to me. Being able to farm pvp for Bis pvp gear was always the fun part of pvp.
I find a lot of people don't enjoy the end of expansion content because there isn't a new raid coming. I enjoy it for the opposite reason, I like there being an "end goal" for the expansion, if I get 985 ilvl I'm super geared and a random patch isn't gonna come and devalue that instantly for quite a while. Satisfying doing content at the end because you do have access to anything you want from the current and previous expansions. I like making a list of stuff I want to accomplish and working on it now that it's all laid out and ready for me to do it at my leisure.
I'd like to see a forge or something that melts down 3 titanforged items, averages out the item level between the three and returns a potion or something, that you can apply to a piece of armor that increased the item level to whatever the item level on the potion was. something along those lines to at least give you a little power over your gear
c. Trial of Valor Mythic release week, I picked up Guarm's mythic leather boots from our kill that night. 885 boots, nice pair, some good haste/crit on them, just what I needed to hit the weights I wanted on my MW monk. Huge reward for progression on that fight, we're doing good, feels rewarding. That same night, after the raid, I went and did a M+11, and got a similar 885 cloak. I put in half as much work. I put in no progression whatsoever. I didn't grind my face in to get this one. It just kinda happened. I felt incredibly demoralized for the work I put into M Guarm, because I just got an equal reward from M+11. The next morning our guild broke up due to some IRL drama among officers, I felt zero reason to resub or find a new guild. Titanforging is ass.
This is the only expansion where I'm glad we're spending 9+ months in Antorus, because there is a ton of content in Legion. The professions are actually fun to level, as well as all the challenge artifacts and Balance of Power artifacts! Lots of GOOD farming at least in this!
it's all about what you want to achieve and how "well" you can spend your time. But you won't have to play your character multiple hours each day, if you want to maintain a heroic-raiding level for example. Do your argus stuff to catch up with ap, reputation and gear, complete a mythic keystone every week and take your time to get into an active guild. Done
I Just FUCKING PRAY That hunters go either into the Melee bonus damage camp or the ranged bonus damage camp, it really sucked having melee damage and caster buffs and being fucked outta both as a hunter. Only thing i liked back in that system was pally buffs, wisdom for my mana and kings yee. But they really need to decide if hunters attacks will be considered magic damage entirely or melee damage, i'd go with a rework and call it physical damage, and magic damage buffs, so deathknights frost damage gets a buff from magic, as with hunters arcane shot etc, and normal attacks get physical buff.
instead of making things titanforge/warforge, why dont they just have a chance to drop a token that can upgrade by say 5-15 item levels based on which one you get, you would still have a reason to raid, you could control who gets it like any other item, and people wouldnt be waiting for a specific item, then for the chance for it to specifically titanforge, and not take items that dont so they still get a chance to get it within their guild
agreed. I can see more powerful gear/weapons.. but more powerful versions of the same gear/weapon (unless from higher level content) is mainly just disappointing and frustrating. If they want to give groups increases in gear level to help them overcome an obstacle that has them stymied it could be tokens that would improve a stat on a piece of gear
I think titsnforging should be changed to like how timeless isle dropped empowered items that you use on the peice you want to use it on that would make a balance between Rng and the player.
Thunderforging and Warfarging in Mists of Pandaria was fine. It was simply a hidden nerf to the raid so the boss you're currently progressing gets a little easier next ID when you got ~5 little upgrades in your raid group. But Titanforging an Item for like +100ilvl is just stupid and annoying to farm. AND why the hell is Arcano Crystal still in the Game? It turned out to be OP when Legion started and instead of removing it or something they implement it on the broken shore and Argus dailies... The time of ever getting full/complete BisGear will never be anyomore.
Why don't they make it so that if you get a duplicate piece of gear, you can infuse that gear into the same piece of gear for 5 ilevels until you hit the cap of the next raid difficulty ilevel.
17:35 I really dont understand why Blizzard didn't do this to begin with, it's a much better alternative. Titanforging is probably the biggest factor that made me quit during legion.
I think if they made PvP for Warfronts. It would make the player remember Ashran and not be interested. So PvP might come in the future. Depending on the success.
The rep grind. This reminds of MoP and Wrath rep grinding. Oh well, sucks that the only char that has exalted with the Nightborne is a Night Elf (also Highmountain). Fuck me I have to rep grind on my lock then. Wish the rep requirement was account wide (doesn't matter what char you get exalted on, you just need to do it once is what I mean).
My biggest critisism on the Q&A´s is that they pick to many of the same questions, to many questeions that talk about stuff you can read up. For example there was a question on the forums, that asked if the dev´s will stick to their "plan" or fix classes / systems imedieatly if they are broken or don´t work well ( as examples i think there where demonology warlocks and the legendary system listed ). The other thing is blizzard takes the same people who ask questions all the time. I have seen the name "Jiraya" or something in nearly ever q&a and ever time the question could´ve been answered by just reading it up on the forums/blueposts etc.. But other than that the q&a´s are a great thing.
I think it’s very very good that we have so much time until the release of BfA! I can finally progress without being surpressed of new content every month
I'm unfamiliar with the comment of "warriors getting a buff so i dont get excluded from raid." I dont mythic raid that much and am finding it hard to understand that besides having 4-5 of one class with heavy defensive cd's to soak shit. Elaborate?
The fact that allied races is one of the expansions mayor selling points makes me very scared for the expansion. Have same feeling i had with Panda. Which is a bad sign so far.
soloque isnt replacing anything its just another addition to the game to kill your free time. for someone who likes pet battles im surprised the against the soloque movement. just a separate ladder to play the game instead of being 1900 cr on horde and waiting 2 weeks for partners. which is a more fucked up system getting placed into 1min matchs with shitty comps or not being able to play arenas for 2 weeks because noone has a similar cr as you. whats annoying is all these pve players expressing there opinions on soloque in a uneducated and a very nonconstructive manner.
rekatron the last moby pve players care because the same thing happened to them years ago. Antisocial people cryed that finding a group was too har and now we have lfr. Dont get me wrong, im not very social myself but beeing in a raiding guild is still nice and the mop days where I was an lfr player pales compared to my new experience
The opinion ion gave was pretty well thought out tbh, on how he was saying that it would be frustrating because your comp would be shit and there is nothing to do about it. Some people however would enjoy that but I dunno man. Maybe if they gave you an option to change to your other toons after you joined the game. But then again this is like saying they should make wow pvp a separate game etc.
Also another thought which would be a kinda cool idea is you still have your seasons but every few weeks or so there would be a ladder race so like you have a separate ladder that starts everyone at 0 and for a week straight people race to the top. Whoever gets top like 10 gets prizes? Just a thought. Because in reality your arena cr doesn’t matter until the last couple weeks of the season or even the last day for some people.
I havnt listened to the interview regarding soloque in wow. But lets be honest, just thinking about it for 10 secs, its very apparent why its a bad addition to the game. Balance. Wow isnt balanced, no pvp based game is balanced. Which is fine, u switch according to the meta. In wow thats simply not possible. If boomkin is dogshit, not because of the player, but simply because of the spell arsenal the class has. There's nothing u can do, and the ppl who teams up with u will become toxic (ie. like selection in overwatch, which is a huge influence on why the community is so toxic). however, boomkin might be dogshit, but its actually viable if u team up with class X and Y, because they make up for what the class lacks, so u can play more around its strengths. But now u've created toxicity around one spec (or serval), removed them from soloq, or have them endure the wrath of the community for playing a class they like. Overall, with soloq in wow, all u do is punish ppl for playing certain classes, or specs. Create more toxicity in the community. Possibly overcrowding classes because of their viability. Forums be overspammed with whining, "i lost because mages are OP" "nerf mages", "i only lose because im unlucky". wow pvp dont need that when its alrdy on the brink of extinction
You missunderstood, there are ONLY going to be cosmetic rewards, BUT and this is a big ass BUTT it will ONLY DROP SOME TIMES FROM THE BOXES THAT YOU GET so more RNG kinda.. cus it is still gotta be high drop chance but you know..
Only people I've ever heard complain about titan-forging were raiders. It lets us casual players play at an even playing field without having to raid all day every day.
As for Titan forging i do have some suggestions, A - Remove it. B - Make it normal/heroic only. C - give us an item that can titanforge our own gear but i'd prefer to see that only in heroic/mythic.
I'm just looking forward to see what they're going to do with pvp in battle for azeroth, I really like the sound of 6 player rbg's. I also hope they increase the complexity of the damage rotations as well personally, since I feel like one class isn't going to significantly do more damage based on their skill at that class atm. Which I personally think is the biggest problem with legion, the whole reason why people have become gear nazi's in legion is because players aren't given the ability to make up that difference in gear with ability.
Making roation more complex just make you watch cooldowns over everything else. Classes need indentity, they normalized everything into you're melee or you're ranged.
Making rotation more complex does not mean more abilities. I don't want more cd's I just want more complex mechanics. Like monks went from having tiger eye brew stacks chi explosion which did different things based on amount of chi used and tigerpalm debuffs and chi torpedo damage to use inbetween gcd's as well as the actual potential to off heal into a standard I use serenity and ToD to burst. When in wod a good monk and a bad monk had a huge difference in numbers they could pull regardless of the difference in gear. When now it's just given that you can use your rotation optimally. I just want them to increase the skill cap of the classes so that it gives people the opportunity to continuously learn how to play their class better.
Hey there, i have a question for you, Wow players. It is worth to start playing Wow right now? Have in mind that i never touched wow before( except the starter edition) and i feel that maybe i have lost all the cool things :( What do u think? Thanks u in advance ^^ ( btw i dont understand wow very well but i enjoy asmongold videos, dont know why xd, keep up the good job buddy))
ser f I would definitely start playing now, and get your feet on the ground for the next expansion, as you can get a max level character, get in a guild, and learn more about raiding before the expansion starts
It's never too late to start, and if anything right now is the best possible time to start to get ready for the next expac. You have till at LEAST July to do current content, learn the ropes, do a few raids, make some friends, join a guild, and just take it easy until Battle for Azeroth.
Aim for the JuiceBox i would never suggest to a new player to use the boost to max level. I think its way too much for someone thats new to the game. I would instead strongly suggest to just level normally and learn how the game works. Otherwise you will get frustrated, and frustrate other ppl also.
I think they should remove Titans Grip. There's SO many badass 1-handers that you can't even transmog as a fury warrior. Gotta be Prot to use 1-handers effectivly, or rogue or whatever. (Yes, transmog is important as fuck)
Well, azerite gear can’t TF and weapons can’t TF. So we’re gonna have a lot less TFing which is great, I’m glad they’re keeping it to an extent because it is fun in M+ to get that sick piece of gear. I agree with reforging or VP helping with luck.
Just like with weapons, they should remove the Titanforging for trinkets (and only keep Warforging, if they so desperately wants to keep the RNG) so people don't have to go back to last raid tier to try and get the BiS trinket. (Some people are still using the trinket from Gul'dan even TWO raid tiers later!) I wouldn't mind getting rid of Titanforgin alltogether. Warforging 10 iLvLs, fine, but TF 20-30 iLvLs is just stupid.
For balancing? It gives people the option who want to use their extra abilities in pve content. I don’t see what the big deal is. Most of the honor talents are cool as fuck. If anything they would make it even more unbalanced.
It probably *won’t* be released on the 21st, the _legally_ have to provide a date for release on pre orders, the date is probably a placeholder, and I won’t be surprised if it comes out around July/August
People love visual feedback. Give the prestige bonuses as visual feedback in the form of a tabard, a hat, armor, some shit that they can keep with them at all times and show off wherever they are. If you wanna go balls deep and really incentivize it, give them like an effect even, like a certain weapon glow or some other sort of cosmetic thing that sets them apart, but since prestige is something that'll take time to attain, you really want to incentivize that both for the people who want to go for prestige, as a gift and a thank you - but also for people who don't necessarily want to but could be convinced to in order to lengthen their sub time and also inflate the amount of players on at any given moment so the players who love playing have people to interact with (and maybe just shit on).
we all know you are okay with bugs. we have seen your room

im actually totally fine with that release date. Plenty of time to come back to do stuff.
Watching you reference the red scythe in this video after seeing the video of you getting the scythe today is awesome lol
Alliance get: Emo Elves, and Golden Draenei
Horde get: Black Elves, and Moose Cows
Selwrynn xD
Um excuse me but they are called golden space goats
stfu ur dead and dead people cant talk
You mean crack elves instead of black elves
Black Elves? cmonBruh
0:58
Yeah you did have plenty of time to farm that red scythe.
Congrats on finally getting it today after 2 and a half years!
fun cact: alliance players can use the horde collecters edition mount and vice versa by typing "/cast Gilded Ravasaur"
chill9871 or /cast Seabraid Stallion
how do you get the system menu bar under Elvui? (the tab above the bags at the bottom right of the screen)
Don't worry, Asmongold, you will beat Warcraft 2 eventually.
I hope he beat war too.
14:45
I remember having to spec prot palli for the 10% damage reduction from magic damage from the same school as your resist aura
Hey Aasmon! Just wondering if it's still possible to get the llothien Prowler from withered army training and world quests in suramar? Or can u just get it from one of them or can you still even get it at all. Thank you!
Back when wow was a enjoyable game look how happy asmongold looks

To further you point on honor talents simply put it feels good to better your character via gear and bad to have to unlock your characters abilities.
Warforging/titanforging should be a slow progression system inside of raid progression. Would be awesome to see highmountain and normal taurens with cairne bloodhoofs tree stump as a weapon.....
Coming back to this video was so fun lol
0:19 oh boi, were we in for a surprise with that one
Hey Asmon just wondering if you still can get the llothien Prowler? Does it drop in withered army training or the emissary quests or both? Thank you!
dude use google

whats the editing software and recording software u use?
Why didn't they give us the extra character slots with the preorder? That's a tease. Some players cannot roll the new races without the added slots.

i just wish the shoulders on the void elf heritage gear was more minimalist the rest of it is sexy tho

Hey i wondered if u could make a guide for warrior 7.3.5
Question: I stopped playing when the class mounts came out, if i come back now will i still be able to catch up if i play like 3 -4 hours a day ?
easily. you could most likely catch up by spending 3-4 hours a week, if spent efficiently.
lolrumbuutu 3-4 hours a weeks seems very little I think ? But i do need to find a raiding guild that is the crux of the prob
it's all about what you want to achieve and how "well" you can spend your time. Always good to hear inbetween lines from the official cast..
"Not too many bugs in WoD"
The main one I remember is garrisons breaking a few hours into launch. People were pissssed
They should have a new model to choose from on undead. (look alike nanthos) be pretty cool. That way you don't have to choose to be the other undead.

What about professions, any news about them?
Can you make a guide on how to get the allied races?
Nice, proof you called the August release date.
September 21st is a Friday. Have they ever released an expansion on a friday before?
Am I the only one who saw a random bubble just run around the embassy in the video, I thought that was an enemy rouge just stealthing around.
I'm still curious about what's happening with PvP servers, but I'm sure if I do some googling I'll be able to find it
Why don't they make it so that if you get a duplicate piece of gear, you can infuse that gear into the same piece of gear for 5 ilevels until you hit the cap of the next raid difficulty ilevel.

hi all, can you tell me what nameplate addon Asmongold is using ?
I think if they made PvP for Warfronts. It would make the player remember Ashran and not be interested. So PvP might come in the future. Depending on the success.
I hope they implement yur idea of prestige pvp, just reset to 1 and implement new rewards.
Look, it's that bald guy
Pan Kowalski LOL HAHA
what u mean hes hot af
i dont get it
BamaLam4 he's bald, thats all
You mean balding. He has bald spot, but if you didn't notice that yet, there's still some hair.
It's a meme, he's bald
The rep grind. This reminds of MoP and Wrath rep grinding. Oh well, sucks that the only char that has exalted with the Nightborne is a Night Elf (also Highmountain). Fuck me I have to rep grind on my lock then. Wish the rep requirement was account wide (doesn't matter what char you get exalted on, you just need to do it once is what I mean).
I'm stuck without a pc for a while until I can get my own place again so... I for one am happy that I won't be missing the launch xD
amen to honor talents being used in pve too
Aug/Sep release is for the best, itll free up peoples summers.
A spring or summer release is only for the hermits.
00:00 he said it!
They should do that normal mode dungeon can titan forge up to mythic raid gear. Kappa
Simple: Turn arenas into king of the hill so you have to battle for the center. keep the current healing debuff and etc - boom.
I think it’s very very good that we have so much time until the release of BfA! I can finally progress without being surpressed of new content every month
I don't know if it's me only just noticing this or if it's actually true. But have you started posting videos less often?
its because he is on twitch
Legion is like your snackbox, rather more stuff with a few bugs, than having less snacks with less bugs
I'm unfamiliar with the comment of "warriors getting a buff so i dont get excluded from raid." I dont mythic raid that much and am finding it hard to understand that besides having 4-5 of one class with heavy defensive cd's to soak shit. Elaborate?
makes more money on twitch so his channel is pretty much abandoned
Forums be overspammed with whining, "i lost because mages are OP" "nerf mages", "i only lose because im unlucky".
wow pvp dont need that when its alrdy on the brink of extinction
rekatron the last moby if u wan't solo que don't play wow lul
What's the new info asides the potential release date? Everything else has been talked from blizzcon up to now..
"I'm excited for warfronts and i hope that they are good" what a great time capsule this is
its not that September is too far i just think they should have spread the legion content out more.
Fabersoul 11 week content cycle
It probably won’t drop in September probably before that
im too lzay to read all stuff and find it
can someone call short list me whats new?? or they just add new maps dungeons?
As for Titan forging i do have some suggestions, A - Remove it. B - Make it normal/heroic only. C - give us an item that can titanforge our own gear but i'd prefer to see that only in heroic/mythic.
September for the new expansion? Ooh... then atleast i can lvl the allied races on a slow pace
Can u please do a Fury warrior guide?
the 21st is my birthday but you already know im doing a 24 hour grind that night to get alteast 3 characters to 120
I'm just looking forward to see what they're going to do with pvp in battle for azeroth, I really like the sound of 6 player rbg's.
I see, yeah good point. I wish there was some terrain use too.
do it as in Rocket league for solo que that there will be no teams allowed and if they do it someway then there is ban hammer waiting .
AdamForExample That’s an opinion
ser f Probably would want to sub now, to get yourself to max level before the next expansion
When pvp talents where usable all the time.... ooooh good old days.... good old days.....
PVP GEAR?! YES!!
Paul Giulan !!!!!!!
Just like with weapons, they should remove the Titanforging for trinkets (and only keep Warforging, if they so desperately wants to keep the RNG) so people don't have to go back to last raid tier to try and get the BiS trinket. (Some people are still using the trinket from Gul'dan even TWO raid tiers later!)
I wouldn't mind getting rid of Titanforgin alltogether. Warforging 10 iLvLs, fine, but TF 20-30 iLvLs is just stupid.
I think you mean Elisande, nobody is using the Gul'dan trinket unless they're bad because that trinket is not good at all anymore.
Or someones using ursoc trinket in end tier ;)
Nobody giving a fuck about Nightborne? you almost had me
syff They're a boring race so yea
agree to disagree, by looking around in my realm not everyone shares that opinion
How are they boring? They look cool and have decent lore/backstory
*_The Debate begins_*
Agree so much with you in regards to titanforging
glad to see you back brother. good piece. I really agree with your thoughts on the TF/WF etc.
Please keep pvp talents separate. People have been begging for balancing like that for forever and I don't want it to go away.
For balancing? It gives people the option who want to use their extra abilities in pve content. I don’t see what the big deal is. Most of the honor talents are cool as fuck. If anything they would make it even more unbalanced.
Yeah titanforging is weird. I got a 965 belt from N antorus once
90% of my BGs I end up with no heals and the other team gets like 3..... why would I want that shit system in RBGs?
Don't need healer to win, you need practice.
if it is to release on 21 september that is the quickest an expansion has ever released so wtf do ppl want
Completely false.
You forgot they renamed "Battle Cry" to "Recklessness".
Ben Richards but made it for fury/prot only RIP
Sounds like they just renamed the ability back to what it used to be named.
