Where it's just you and your charming Grunt companion. He could climb into small spaces to open doors, offer amusing dialogue or even be a playable character in certain sections. The marines would be in groups and be a legitimate threat against your lighter shielding but you could use AC. The camo and your shields could run on the same power source so you can run while cloaked for a short time but you become more visible the longer you do it. Or you could divert power from shields for near total invisibility or sacrifice camo for temporarily stronger shields. You could sneak past marine snipers who give jackals a run for their money. Awesome idea and inspiring
That was funny when it was an occasionally referenced in-joke, and not something so overdone that it re-formatted the entire personality of the Elites, caused the Forerunners to speak like Redditors, and spawned those God-awful forced H5 grunt ads.
@graydi66y yes I agree they should be in charge of making halo games, if possible they should in charge of making newer updates for halo infinite as well.
If anything needs to be done right, it's 343 guilty spark. That reveal, that dread, the environmental story telling, the moment my fun space super soldier hero game turned into a horror game... You can't mess that up. The Remaster messed it up with the lighting.
I wanna be as scared as I was when I was six years old playing the game with my cousin and being traumatized to the point of not being able to sleep without the light on that night
@@psychobilly42069that’s why don’t want them to change much at all in the game. The feeling, the nostalgia, the aesthetic. I think they’ve learned their lesson with halo CE A. I actually have high expectations for this remake.
i really appreciate your measured approach to reacting to news instead of just running out and trying to be the first person to make a video and blurt whatever comes to mind.
It would be interesting if they also split the campaign to add the perspective of thel vadam to flesh out the covenant in CE more (i just want playable elites again)
As long as the original 2001 campaign is preserved, they can add whatever pointless side shit they want. Just give me the remaster I was robbed of in 2011
Very much agreed. The way this game and it's lore behind it would be beyond top tier if they got it right for visuals and the story much like the animation. Nothing would be able to stand before this games might. This gives the flood the true meaning of horror and how utterly terrifying to fight them. No morals and no matter what you did. There will always be more of them than you think and they will overwhelm you and make you there's. The animation when it first showed was how you tell this story. It's still holds up to this day.
@@n0n4m3-s5vyes it has copy paste but frankly, a lot of Halo CE is that way. That, or direct mirrors of earlier levels, therefore I don't accept the criticisms generally leveled at the Library. I find it vindicating to finally see a few other people starting to understand this after many years. As I only play on Legendary,I view Library as the game testing you to make sure you're really understanding how to deal with the Flood, it is a crucible, a refiner's fire. The Library is a great level
A good way they could expand on the guilty spark level is when chief gets to that room and looks at that recording instead of watching a cutscene you are transported into the body of the marine holding the camera and you see it through a sort of analog horror perspective as you explore the forerunner structure it adds a short horror section to show what a flood horror game could look like. when the flood jumps your group in the room you drop the camera and make a run for it whilst hearing the people you were with get eaten alive behind you. You are in a struggle for survival as you make your way through the facility you eventually collapse and act like your dead with the game detecting your mic audio if they want to do that. You survive but with the all that you went through your character starts going crazy and runs into the corner where he screams at chief mistaking him for one of the flood giving a little backstory to that paranoid guy saying "STAY BACK YOUR NOT TURNING ME INTO ONE OF THOSE THINGS" before cutting back to chief. Also that's a nice setup you got their.
These are perilous times for Halo. I appreciate you taking the time to reflect before uploading. Ive come to highly respect your insight and the discussion on this channel, so this will be very interesting to watch and read comments on.
Maybe they'll fix the size inconsistency in The Maw Warthog Run to make it more accurate to the ship size. And remove that silly thin narrow bridge that somehow holds both sides of the Autumn together. I'm kinda skeptical about this, but as it's promised to add stuff like cut content to build off of the OG CE I'm kinda hopeful about it. I just hope they get the feel of the original right as the CE remaster was not the best in of lightning and use of the Reach models on the original CE models.
Seems more like an attempt to milk cash out of loyal fans, despite their complete incompetence. Just standing on the shoulders of giants. Let’s hope I’m wrong.
Teach? What the hell have they've been doing for 15 years? two remakes, butchered mcc collection(this was their key moment to teach themselves btw, and failed), terrible sequels and spin offs, but 343 will just magically 'GET' Halo if they remake CE now? no, that's stupid. They've had multiple chances to "teach themselves", and have failed horrendously in every possible way, time and time again, over and over, this remake will change nothing, and people will continue to fall for 343's con. Every new title they do the same thing "we messed up last time, but this time things will be different, this time we get it" no, they never have and never will. This will just be an excuse to erase the legacy games, make their butchered take on Bungie's work for easy cash and to stay afloat, until they have to make original new halo games again, which they'll also mess up, again.
Halo Origins: Master Chief Start off as a seven year old going through boot camp, then the augmentation. Couple of missions against the insurrectionists and then getting the armor for the first time. Etc etc.
@@emergency_broadcast_systemNot disagreeing with you on that. I wonder if more could be done with his character but also if that same story could still resonate through the eyes of a new character. It could very well be that Chief simply has too much history attached to him and a new character would help the franchise start heading in a better direction.
Character driven stories in videogames are fucking bent. Why do you nu halo fans want shitty melodrama plots injected into your sci fi millitary shooter
The biggest issue I had with CE anniversary is the sheer amount of detail that was done. It sort of ruined the atmosphere of both the levels of halo and 343 guilty spark.
I found myself swapping back to OG graphics for some of the levels too, although it was probably more for nostalgia than an actual improvement in atmosphere
For me the only way to play First Halo this days is OG pc version with mods that restore all effects from og xbox version. I hate with passion 343 version. I play mine on crt pc monitor for more immersion.
Back in the good old days i had hoped that the potential Halo film/series we were supposed to get shouldve been basically an adaptation of The Flood. Importantly it shouldve shown how badly the UNSC get thrashed by the covenant, always on the back foot, always getting out classed. But when the Chief was around show how much he kicks arse and put them on the offensive. It woulda been so impactful imo to demonstrate just how important the Spartans were to humanity
I was thinking about a CE remake recently and so it's so weird to see this happen for real! One thing I thought over and over again was how I'd love to see (since Infinite has finally broken the franchise into open world games) the CE remake be an open or at least semi open world game. I remember as a kid thinking that we (the UNSC) must have a temporary base around the ring from which we're supplying and conducting all these missions right? (For example, the beginning cutscene of silent cartographer with thd pelicans coming to the island from presumably alpha base but we never get to see it). And growing up and realising in the books that base did exist. It would be awesome to he able to see and live in alpha base, interacting with marines and selecting them for main or even side missions and perhaps being able to upgrade the base over time until nearing the end where we see the base go down (something like MGS: ground zeroes)
a split campaign like 2 would be amazing. perspectives of the master chief, a Johnson sub plot, and an elite subplot or even just a mission where you play as half jaw
I am a fan of that setup! Feels “homey”. Also, quite a fan of the way you think with regards to Halo, it’s refreshing, isn’t just based on hype. I love listening to your videos, it’s calming.
Add fire team Raven and halo first strike into the game. Let us see reach while it still being glassed and final resistance. How chief reunites with blue team ect.
Literally if they just kept the base campaign just with added shit from the flood and first strike and fall of reach callbacks and all the cut content like wildlife on halo it would be perfect. As long as they don't compromise the visual aesthetic. I just really want chief to be guilty and worrying about Fred and Kelly stuck on reach the whole time he's on halo. I want the pillar of autumn intro level to have a small section where chief has to get Linda's chryo tube into an escape pod and him desperately trying to get updates on if she made it into unsc hands. There's so much they could do I just don't want them to fuck it up
@@psychobilly42069An optional prologue could be cool to do what you’re suggesting with Linda. Like how some story-based game sequels have an option in the menu to view a cinematic recap of the previous events. Have a very brief recap of Chief’s perspective of the Fall of Reach in the level select. Starting with Reach getting attacked, jumping ahead to Chief boarding the space station, and ending with him getting Linda into cryo and then going in himself. Remakes are also a perfect opportunity to do things like make the fall of Reach a lot more consistent with the game, leading directly into this hypothetical recap cinematic that would begin the Halo CE remake. Since the games take precedent, some of the events of the book either can’t have happened or can’t have happened in quite the same way, unfortunately. So the recap would be good to lay out an official combined timeline of the two stories once and for all. But to fully explore this would require a Reach remake which we probably won’t get until the 2030s, and that’s IF the remake goes well. Combining The Fall of Reach, Halo Reach, and a few chapters of First Strike into one story, just like the CE remake ideally will be combining Halo CE, The Flood, and Fireteam Raven into one cohesive story.
@@ryatt9365 exactly that's what I would die for, if they take this remake route I think it's the perfect opportunity to finally make a cohesive canon merge of the books and games. We need a damn ghosts of onyx game that gives a solid canon reason on why Dr Halsey wasn't surprised by the Spartan III's during halo: reach (even tho I think glasslands did throw in a little line about it) lmao and I just think spartan III's need more in-game love. Now I'm just rambling about wishes and dreams but you're so on the money dude
That leak / rumor I feel like is just testing the waters to see how people would react to such an idea. Like the reboot idea they had earlier this year
If the rumours are true, then a faithful remake adding in cut content and adding in wider lore, is what is needed. Expanding on the ideas of playable experiences i would want to include my thoughts on the '343 Guilty Spark' level and have Jenkin's helmet cam be playable and have a mission post infection, were the audio is increasing with the floods influence over him ending with the attack on Alpha Base.
I think you hit the nail on the head Installation00. We need Halo to evolve, while still keeping to its core principles. If that's by remastering Halo Combat Evolved, so be it.
Remake the original and expand upon it, add in some missions based on the books, maybe more enemy types, weapons and more content Bungie originally wanted in the game but couldn't due to time constraints. The most important thing is to replicate the Halo Feel with the physics and movement system in the Unreal Engine. So Halo can be developed with more well known industry tools and industry standard game engine that no one really needs to learn how to even use the tools to work on the Halo games. Plus making games and more spinoff games from different studios and devs will be easier, faster and with far less issues than before with the Blam Engine.
I'm kind of interested in the idea of having Infinite being a largely multiplayer focused experience that's updated and improved with time that's separate from later new Halo games that are largely singleplayer focused. Could mean that more time and resources can go into the singleplayer experience by whichever studio is working it, so multiplayer doesn't eat into it's development.
It will not be done right. 343 has total control over it. If you want Halo to be done right, refuse to buy, play or give Microsoft any money for any title with that studio's name or people attached to it. Until then, we'll get what we've gotten for 12 years. Shit.
They might remake a few if not all the games in the new engine. All games remade on one engine would make an environment with an exceptional sandbox for custom content. Reworking the engine between games definitely took up most of the development budget
Based on the information we have gotten via these rumors. I strongly believe this remake is 343's current focus rather than Halo 7. Why do I believe this, one may ask? It's simple really. _The jump to UE5._ We all know the next Halo game will be made using the UE5 engine, there is no doubt about that. If 343 were to be focusing on Halo 7, that means they'd have to simultaneously learn using a new engine and how to make Halo feel like Halo in it while *also* dealing with the challenges that come with making a completely new game with its own gameplay elements like what Infinite was, while also needing to serve as a follow up to what that game had set down. A remake of CE made in UE5, on the other hand, would be a much easier task to handle. The core blueprints are already there, from story to maps to enemy encounters and such, and it's all just a matter of taking that blueprint and building something with it in UE5. Still a monumental task, but one far easier than building something completely from scratch. If we wanna believe what TechnicalHalo has said, it also seems like 343 is entirely focused on remaking CE's (and later 2 and 3's) campaign/s with this project, with a multi-player experience instead being the focus of Creative Assembly in the form whatever was spawned from the scrapped Tatanka gamemode they were originally working on for Infinite. So this will be a game made specifically for the campaign enjoyers out there, though I wouldn't be surprised if it had some level of multi-player regardless. But in short, this potential Halo CE/original trilogy campaigns remake looks to be 343's testbed for making Halo play and feel like Halo within the UE5 engine, which will serve as the foundation for Halo 7. With this project 343 is focused entirely on remaking the campaign/s, while Creative Assembly's project will be the next multi-player Halo experience instead.
If they do officially announce a remake of Halo CE I hope whatever company is spearheading the project takes notes from Bungie and drops several new 'Cortana Letters' into the community for us to dissect there meanings and what they mean for the game.
Somehow I think the flood are not going to be in it. They are going to be replaced with something else. It is a remake, so 343 could possibly fuck some shit up. If it is a rated T game like 5 and infinite, We're screwed man! We're screwed!!
A Halsey game? Your outro was respectful. Thank you for being a good Installation. Easy. One thing I've noticed with Halo and rumors. Depending on where or how deep the person that starts the rumor is, tells us the likelihood of said rumor to be true. To a certain degree. Normal. Crossing over to the PS is not a freaking problem that techs/code entry personal make it out to be. At least not in 2024. As for a few decades ago? Totally a pain. Halo Reach would have been a good time to crossover to the PS. Heroic. The Unreal Engine. John did say, "I need a weapon!" The Unreal Engine is a phenomenal foundation to create John's asked for weapon. For that matter, I feel the Unreal Engine is a fantastic weapon for creators. Bonus. That's one way of making cross play even easier. And the same can be said about code manipulating. Legendary. Any new or remake Halo game needs three things. One: The capability to own a hard copy. Live Services Only, has way to many variables. We don't own the game. We barely pay for the right to play the game. If you don't have Internet. Can't afford it or don't want internet. Companies are really losing money and losing the ability to rake in new players to gaming in general for this decision. Live services. The unfortunate truth of losing all progression on your gaming profile. One of the worst thing to do to a gamer. Two: Have sandbox available on release. It's practically the same dev tools they use to create the game. Most of the code for sandbox is already in the code for the game. More or less. Three: Skulls. Let us scoure the map to find them. That was half the fun of skulls. Finding them. Then helping others find them too. Mythic/LASO. A remake of C.E. at this point should really incorporate other viewpoints with their own game play. Like the Arbitor, Val Korrian, san-spigettii, the squid lips dude in that crappy old armor in Halo 2. Playing as him as he gets wrecked in Halo C.E. by S117, Johnson, Keyes, Flood, and the like. Love you Arbs. I wonder if Sangheili taste like pork or beef? We know the Kig-Yar taste like chicken. The Jirals? I'm thinking bear or buffalo. Mgalekgolo? Meal worms. So some fast foods cheeseburger. Unggoy? Since they be huffing meth. I'm thinking blow fish levels of culinary accuteness. I couldn't eat them. To freakishly cute. The others? I got some Memphis dry rub and sweet baby Rays BBQ sauce. Custom game.
If they're gonna do a remake, everything in the original should be a cutscene, in my opinion. Everything that was cut and the books need to be the main draw. After all, the first 3 books were the first game, just in greater detail. As you said 00, there's so much story that can be told 20 plus years later... we don't need another anniversary. We need the awesomeness that was First Strike, or Contact Harvest. Hell, Alpha Nine is BEGGING to have its own game in ODST 2.
A CE remake would be great to have, but we already have an unofficial remake, that being SPV3. Made by the fans, for the fans, and does a ton of things people would expect from a CE remake.
Halo 1 doesn’t need a remake or remastered. Let’s get a halo 3 remastered. Or if 343 really wants to make halo fans happy. Make halo 6 or 7 whatever they’re going to call it. Make that game properly made with playable elites with split screen. As well have everything in it on day 1. No selling store just good old school. You play and earn the armors and skins.
Halo 3 isn't even in that desperate need of a remaster, it still holds up pretty well today graphically. Personally I would rather they spend all of their time and resources in not destroying Halo 7
@@ddunfuh9239 its even worse playing master chief collection with the gorgeous halo 2 anniversary cutscenes, beating the game and when halo 3 starts its like megablocks stop motion
I doubt Microsoft is ever going to allow 343 to make a game without micro transactions. I'm also of the opinion that when remaking a game franchise you start with the first especially because Halo: CE walked so Halo: 3 could (not) sprint because that's not a mechanic.
I would love to see a Jenkins appearance. Chief arrives at Alpha base. A small sqyad of marines are standing around Jenkins, tied up and thrashing around while also screaming or saying “no no please no”. They demonstrate that the flood are almost unkillable on him, really just abusing him but showing that he can respond to his name or something. And then later on you hear about the ONI plot to take Jenkins to Earth or somewhere for study. Then later on in a mission, you see the ship taking off, and it just explodes out of nowhere sort of giving the audience a heartfelt painful moment
@@mattmc9812 well in all the halo games weapons were unique. Aside from the assault and sniper every gun has been replaced or recycled throughout the franchise. It’s gonna be up to 343 what guns they create or bring back it’s never the same
Yes, there is little debate to be had about all the elements you mentioned that should be brought-in. The caveat to me is that this is not Final Fantasy VII or Resident Evil. Such risk-taking is super rare in gaming. But, we should still hold them to that standard.
I would certainly have the same concerns about a remake that it could ruin what made CE such an iconic game. At the same time there is potential for the remake to flesh out and improve upon the story and gameplay that the original provided. Certainly with regards to the CEA we already have, one of my biggest issues with it was the textures not correctly matching the terrains of the original. A remake from the ground up could fix a lot of those issues by not relying on the original game being the underlying base.
Installation 00, this is the first video I have seen from you and I agree with every word you spoke and every one of your points that you thoroughly fleshed out. Just listening to you talk about all the great possibilities and routes that halo can go and listing out your laundry list of ideas for new halo games somewhat revitalized my excitement for this franchise. You have a gained a new subscriber and I look forward to your new videos.
i just want the story to be enhanced, make the emotional scenes more emotional, make the horror scenes more horrific, that sort of thing. but most importantly keep the opening tutorial
I agree with everything you said, especially with bringing in cut content and adapting novel content into levels. I love to start this game on Reach and end it with the First Strike Mission. One suggestion, leave PvP multiplayer modes to Halo 7. Have this team that makes the remake be completely dedicated to making the best campaign they can.
This video on Halo: CE getting Remade reminds me of this guy called Lextorias who made a video on what he define re-releases of video games by the terms that actually describe them and not the terms that Publishers use to sell them. It has helped me understand the difference between the terms of game releases better.
It doesn't need to Cater to "NEW FANS' it needs to Cater to OG fans, if OG fans are happy it will bring NEW FANS who are curious about the Hype. I want my Halo to be Halo, it doesn't need to become Call of Duty, Battlefield, or Fortnite to bring in those audiences.
All of this would be awesome. It's a shame Xbox has mostly feel off in recent years but so long as Halo and other I.P.s are kept alive and made *GOOD* then I'm perfectly fine. Assuming this supposed remake is an actual thing we'll see soon as of typing this.
I love that you didn’t say “roll the intro” to yourself lol. Just do it. I think this remake on new consoles is a great idea to spread Halo to new audiences and test out new engines. I’m looking forward to it.
The only way this would really get me interested would be if they kept things basically similar but: 1. Expanded enemy counts, larger open vehicle sections with larger armies - give the battles on Halo a larger scope and scale 2. Add in cut weapons and some more sandbox items 3. Updated graphics but honouring the tone of the original
A cold open with the end of the Reach evacuation giving new players a bit of understanding for Cortana and her importance would be a great way to introduce her character in the remake. That way players have a personal connection to her before Chief is handed her chip by Keyes. I think that Halo 1's later half should be redeveloped with new level design while keeping the overall structure of the story. Fixing the development woes of the original game is exactly what a full remake can provide compared to Halo CE: Anniversary.
After getting an idea of what others have said on this so far your take is really the only one I’m taking seriously. Others just had “Halo crybaby” vibes to it. That was my takeaway at least. I also appreciate you not taking an armchair developer approach like others in the community already have. I think updated graphics and adding more than CE and CEA did in a complete package would be enough for me as long as it feels like Halo. I see no reason to think it won’t feel like a Halo game
Ps skum accessing the glory of halo is equal to the release of a flood spore It will spread consume and corrupt all leaving nothing but a blight land It must b quelled with the utmost resolve Less we lose everything
Hello Installation 00. You are a very good communicator. Great work. Do you think there is a realistic chance a Halo remake could swap out blue team for silver team if this remake is to be a thing? (negative connotation)
They don't exactly need to remake CE to bring it to the Playstation platform. If it's going to be aimed at PS4 or PS5 (there's no reason for them to target the PS3), then porting the MCC version across isn't going to be too difficult given that the processor architecture is actually pretty similar to the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X platforms. What I suspect is that they might have one team (or even contracting it out to another studio) porting MCC over to PlayStation, and then the main team working on Halo 7. It's manageable as long as they do it correctly. They will be wasting their dev time and resources if they attempt to bring MCC to Unreal Engine 5 for example.
Halo devs need to watch your video! When I finished Halo: Reach (in 2010 was it) and watched the Pillar of Autumn approaching Halo, I was expecting a play-through of PoA level before the game ended. About 10 years ago I remember watching a video of a redesigned Silent Cartographer level, it had a massive underground environment, but don’t remember where to found it The next Halo game, should quite simply be called Halo. It should work similar to the MCC. When each reimagining of each game is complete by the developers, add it as in update. Now with one game added, they can import their existing items into the next games. I see big potential! They will get it right this time!
100 percent agree with your points and discussion here. CE was the game that made me a gamer you could say. I'd love to see a new wave of fans on Playstation.
Competition keeps prices competitive though, with xbox out of the picture (play stations only real competitor); that means that PS doesn’t have to keep their prices on par which is scary in itself.
The prologue of Halo CE is already a perfect start to the game's narrative. Master Chief (you, the player) waking up from the cryo-pod, meeting AI Cortana for the first time, and the subsequent crash landing on the ring world serve as a gripping hook that immediately immerses players in the universe. This should not be changed. It's fine to mention The Fall of Reach, but it shouldn't be included in the main narrative. The primary focus in Halo CE is the ring world Halo and its mysteries. In my honest opinion, if a remake is really happening, the narrative should remain simple and not be overly complicated. New players aren't going to care about the vast lore that us long-time fans know. Keep it enigmatic and mysterious like the original, and don't reveal too much. EDIT: Also, if you don't start the game with Master Chief waking up from the cryo-pod, it would ruin the bookending effect with Halo 3, where he ends by getting into the cryo-pod.
As someone who just played CE for the first time the other month I want a few things. For one, bring the credits back! Not sure why that was gone in the MCC. Two, make the flood scary on updated graphics. Finally, reduce the levels in the way they drag you out walking through endless hallways. This is something old games did back then I want the remake to fix that. Make it tighter please!
They got halo 2 remastered correct. I’m not gonna follow the trend of negativity that everyone else seems to encourage. I want more games, and 343 have leaked halo 7 news / announced halo CE remake within a months time. I’m kinda happy tbh
At this point, we'll get fat lesbian Cortana, gay Avery Johnson, race and gender swapped Captain Keyes. Oh what fun they could have remaking CE "for the modern audience". Sound fun?
@S0L12D3 Remaster and remake are different. Remasters are just graphical updates, remakes are making the game again from the ground up, but with the story and all that already there. That being said, I am not overwhelming negative on 343 doing this, though. Especially in the story department, it genuinely requires more effort to screw it up than to not. As for gameplay, Infinite's works fine, just remove sprint, slide, clamber, and ADS.
Tbh, I enjoy the *Halo: CE Anniversary* remake we have today. It has great lighting, holds up nicely and it has great weapon sounds and music. *Halo: CE Anniversary* and *Halo 2: Anniversary* were amazing in terms of remakes. Now the only Halo game I would want is *Halo 3: Anniversary.* Imagine the graphics, music and even the transformation of Flood hosts. 👀🔥👍🏻❤️
Halo could use remakes across the board. Use the Halo Infinite Engine and remake the games, Starting from Reach to CE, 2, 3, ODST, 4, 5 all done in the infinite engine. So many people would eat that up. And as you say, there's just SO much lore that can be gameified.
On the note of spin-off games, something in the ancient past might be cool, even if its done through some kind of shorter sequence like a single level as some kind of "lived memory" or some type of deal.
There is secondary evidence suggesting that 343i is solely focusing on a remake as opposed to a "Halo 7" title. We have a resurgence of, essentially, the need to remake original games so that new players can be on-boarded with the IP. The recent Xbox showcase revealed two games, Gears of War E-Day and Doom: The Dark Ages, that are both prequels and were under the eyes of Microsoft since before their development began. Then we have confirmed Microsoft directives to expand their exclusive IPs onto other platforms. With these pieces of secondary evidence, I think the odds of 343i developing a full remake of CE, for other platforms AND for new players, is especially likely.
An expanded CE campaign would be welcome. Incorporating events from the book would be a nice addition. A problem I foresee is voice over work. If it were the same levels and story with improved level design and gameplay, the voices could be lifted from the original, but if they go the route of rerecording everything, or worse yet having new and old dialogue mixed, it's going to be jarring. Steve Downes sounds considerably older than in 2001. Jen Taylor could probably get away with it. Keyes' role probably wouldn't require new lines. Unless they can de-age the voices with AI or something, there might be a limit on how much new content can be added without creating real problems. But, if nothing else, I'd say the repetition of the original needs to be avoided. Even if it's the same levels, the Library needs a LOT more variety. I'd also change the indoor segments of AotCR to not just recycle the same rooms and corridors over and over. Some interesting things could be done with the flood containment facility, and 2 betrayals could be a completely new level. Imagine AotCR is a battle toward the control room, and 2B starts obviously at the end of the last level, but it takes you into a completely different set of canyons and tunnels. Same mission, but not a recycled map.
These are fair points and I’m constantly checking myself because I’m getting old and I can’t expect halo to be the extract same as it was, but I’m sick of all the bad left turns. If it were the Irginal storyboard remake, but with extended, more detailed levels added to the CE story, I’d be all for that. The idea reminds me CMT from CE days. That idea of remake sounds fun and interesting but I have so much distrust for 343 for not delivering what we want in a game, that I can’t expect a Flood perspective map pack campaign of each installation to add more content and context. Project LunA for one their super hero Spartan IV donors. There’s so much they could do but the fact they don’t have people who love the story and franchise shows so much and it’s disappointing to see another golden goose die just to be corpse ravaged by a duck 5 minutes later.
If you wanted to play through the additional story notes (Circumference, Alpha Base, Johnson's Escape; perhaps even First Strike) I would recommend a "nested" menu approach. Have the Linear "Chief" Campaign, and after you clear a level an appropriate side mission(s) are then available. Definitely no levels playing as Chief out of suit, though. That's a line too far for me.
I've been saying there should be a CE remake for a long time so when I heard the rumors, I got to admit, I got excited. I should take it with a grain of salt but I want it to be real so badly.
What we want for CE Remake is what they done to H2A, which was pretty much the first and only remake Halo has gotten. CE Anniversary is literally just Reach 2 but if Reach was a game that played worse than it already did.
We need a level just dedicated to the Chief moving supplies with a forklift, that's the real halo experience
One of Reach’s best feature was allowing for weaponized forklifts
Chief: "I need logistics"
@Troubleshooter11 LMAO 🤣 that's how you get the weapon to operate, so you're right
"Where do you want it?" *gigachad Major laugh whilst chewing on cigar* " Bay 12 please"
lol reminds me of a mission in GTA Vice City Stories where you use a forklift to move boxes out of a burning warehouse
Four words: Zuka Zamamee and Yayap
OH MY GOD WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THIS 🤯🤯🤯
I raise you “Infinite Succor as a DLC mission”

Now that would be great and enjoyable with being horror at it's core from the flood. As long as it's lore accurate.
I've been saying that for years, we need this to become reality at some point
Very much agreed. The way this game and it's lore behind it would be beyond top tier if they got it right for visuals and the story much like the animation. Nothing would be able to stand before this games might. This gives the flood the true meaning of horror and how utterly terrifying to fight them. No morals and no matter what you did. There will always be more of them than you think and they will overwhelm you and make you there's. The animation when it first showed was how you tell this story. It's still holds up to this day.
Can we crank the horror of guilty spark and the library up to athousand for the newbies?
Hi, newbie here! I just started last month with MCC and BOY OH BOY, the library was certainly AN EXPERIENCE XDDD

They better not change ANY of that stuff. Maybe it is dumb, but it’s what was in the OG game and that needs to be respected
if you look down you can see more of the ship dude XD, its towards the front top of the ship where that bridge is.
We need a level where we play as an elite. Maybe as Rtas on the flood infected ship?
The Halo CE remake represents 343's attempt to teach themselves how to ACTUALLY make a Halo game.
I sure hope that's the case
Seems more like an attempt to milk cash out of loyal fans, despite their complete incompetence. Just standing on the shoulders of giants. Let’s hope I’m wrong.
Watch them put it in the silver timeline 😭😂
Exactly. Time for them to do some homework. They tried making their own Halo and we know how that turned out. Now it’s time for them to make HALO
Halo Origins: Master Chief
Start off as a seven year old going through boot camp, then the augmentation. Couple of missions against the insurrectionists and then getting the armor for the first time. Etc etc.
I think moving away from the master chief would be better, that's what Bungie did right before they left with Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach
@@emergency_broadcast_system a 2nd ODST game would be lit
@@emergency_broadcast_systemNot disagreeing with you on that. I wonder if more could be done with his character but also if that same story could still resonate through the eyes of a new character. Character driven stories in videogames are fucking bent. Why do you nu halo fans want shitty melodrama plots injected into your sci fi millitary shooter
@@jamesquinn6662 Have you even played a Halo game one time?
The biggest issue I had with CE anniversary is the sheer amount of detail that was done. It sort of ruined the atmosphere of both the levels of halo and 343 guilty spark.
I found myself swapping back to OG graphics for some of the levels too, although it was probably more for nostalgia than an actual improvement in atmosphere
For me the only way to play First Halo this days is OG pc version with mods that restore all effects from og xbox version. I hate with passion 343 version. I play mine on crt pc monitor for more immersion.
@amdkillaplays
No, CEA legitimately ruins the atmosphere, stop defending it
CEA is genuinely shit and I have no idea why nu halo fans like it. It somehow manages to look worse than halo 3, a game half a decade older than it
Back in the good old days i had hoped that the potential Halo film/series we were supposed to get shouldve been basically an adaptation of The Flood.
Rtas sterilizing the infected ship and losing half his jaw would be the kind of side story that would be great for a campaign DLC.
I am a fan of that setup! Feels “homey”.
Also, quite a fan of the way you think with regards to Halo, it’s refreshing, isn’t just based on hype. I love listening to your videos, it’s calming.

Add some events from the fall of reach and halo operation first strike as dlc or something

That leak / rumor I feel like is just testing the waters to see how people would react to such an idea. Like the reboot idea they had earlier this year
Forerunners have to be human. That shouldn't be changed to fit the failed retcons of the 343 installments.
343 should offer you a position
When did 343 announce they are working on Halo7? That also seems like an unconfirmed rumor.
Man those spinoff game ideas are absolute gold! Why can't we have diehard Halo fans making Halo games??
Was so keen for your video on this brother, keen to watch the vid. Got my coffee at the ready, lets go!
Also if they do remake CE and add Operation First Strike they could add the Plasma Repeater since it’s on the newer cover art for the book
Based on the information we have gotten via these rumors. I strongly believe this remake is 343's current focus rather than Halo 7.
Why do I believe this, one may ask? It's simple really.
_The jump to UE5._
We all know the next Halo game will be made using the UE5 engine, there is no doubt about that.
If they add the events of First Strike that would be *french kiss*
If they do officially announce a remake of Halo CE I hope whatever company is spearheading the project takes notes from Bungie and drops several new 'Cortana Letters' into the community for us to dissect there meanings and what they mean for the game.
Flood needs to be as grotesque as the Thing and Necromorphs

A small sqyad of marines are standing around Jenkins, tied up and thrashing around while also screaming or saying “no no please no”. They demonstrate that the flood are almost unkillable on him, really just abusing him but showing that he can respond to his name or something.
Just listening to you talk about all the great possibilities and routes that halo can go and listing out your laundry list of ideas for new halo games somewhat revitalized my excitement for this franchise. i just want the story to be enhanced, make the emotional scenes more emotional, make the horror scenes more horrific, that sort of thing. but most importantly keep the opening tutorial
@Installation00 I think a lot of what you mentioned what could be in store for the HALO C.E. Remake, was already covered in SPV3. Kind regards.

This video on Halo: CE getting Remade reminds me of this guy called Lextorias who made a video on what he define re-releases of video games by the terms that actually describe them and not the terms that Publishers use to sell them. It has helped me understand the difference between the terms of game releases better.
Great video 00! Would you ever do a collaborarion with the The Act Man about Halo?
Always open to a collab with basically anyone!
Halo The Cole Protocol book, would make a killer game as well.
The only way this would really get me interested would be if they kept things basically similar but:
1. Expanded enemy counts, larger open vehicle sections with larger armies - give the battles on Halo a larger scope and scale
2. Add in cut weapons and some more sandbox items
An old school COD style game with diff campaigns through diff group perspectives would be dope. Like Marine, UNSC, and Spartan campaigns.
Hows the armor going?
I would like to see the cut missions and areas implemented into the game.

If they do this, I would like it to be like the Dead Space Remake. Same story but more meat, more story, more lore to it.
Hello Installation 00. You are a very good communicator. Great work.
Do you think there is a realistic chance a Halo remake could swap out blue team for silver team if this remake is to be a thing? (negative connotation)
I can't believe the Halo franchise has gone so far askew that we're actually talking about a Halo CE remake to get us back on track.
If they do a Halo CE remake, I would want a prologue chapter or chapters, showing some events from the book Halo: Fall of Reach.
Halo devs need to watch your video!
When I finished Halo: Reach (in 2010 was it) and watched the Pillar of Autumn approaching Halo, I was expecting a play-through of PoA level before the game ended.
About 10 years ago I remember watching a video of a redesigned Silent Cartographer level, it had a massive underground environment, but don’t remember where to found it
The next Halo game, should quite simply be called Halo.
EDIT:
Also, if you don't start the game with Master Chief waking up from the cryo-pod, it would ruin the bookending effect with Halo 3, where he ends by getting into the cryo-pod.
Much like guilty spark. 343 Industries has gone rampant.
They are going to fuck it up.
They got halo 2 remastered correct. I’m not gonna follow the trend of negativity that everyone else seems to encourage. I want more games, and 343 have leaked halo 7 news / announced halo CE remake within a months time. I’m kinda happy tbh
Chief is a sassy black lesbian that ain't need no helmet.
At this point, we'll get fat lesbian Cortana, gay Avery Johnson, race and gender swapped Captain Keyes. Oh what fun they could have remaking CE "for the modern audience". Sound fun?
@@S0L12D3I thought 343 said don't trust leaks
My guy it had TERRIBLE lighting. Everything that was dark and atmospheric in the original were WAYYYY too bright in the remaster.
@@ryanbrown4053 everyone has their own opinion, but personally I love the remastered lighting more than the original.
Halo could use remakes across the board. Use the Halo Infinite Engine and remake the games, Starting from Reach to CE, 2, 3, ODST, 4, 5 all done in the infinite engine. So many people would eat that up. And as you say, there's just SO much lore that can be gameified.
I like the casual flex in the thumbnail. Legend
Name one cool idea Halo UA-camrs and fans have speculated to be in a coming Halo game that actually made an appearance.
What we want for CE Remake is what they done to H2A, which was pretty much the first and only remake Halo has gotten.
CE Anniversary is literally just Reach 2 but if Reach was a game that played worse than it already did.
Jus started watching the video. Nice homage to Halo CE/xbox with the background change
