The fact that Sean had a girlfriend when he was 12 made me believe he got that glorious beard when he was 8.
Lmfao
Lol
I bought an R6 as my first bike early this year! BEST DECISION EVER!🏍💨💨
The fact that it is relatively tame until 8-10k is something I really like about the R6. I can ride it comfortably as a commuter bike all day, but it has all the power I could ever handle if I just rev it up a bit.
This 👍👍
The 2017+ R6 feels more powerful on the lower rpm range, not sure what they changed to accomplish that.
same here. I can easily maneuver around tight jams and traffic at 2-4k RPMs. I love it. and honestly, if you're trying to pull from 1k-2k RPMs then the problem is you. I don't know what the others are complaining.
@Blue Friend I have GSXR 600 and sure it's fast. But when the friend is on the rear wheel and pulling from you and you still shifting right at redline. You know it's not fast enough :D
Lol the r6 is all but comfortable
Best bike for me indeed, I started on it and have never looked back. It's slow at the bottom end so it was a great beginner bike for me as I have alot of discipline and restraint...
Same, best of both worlds.. tame commuter but nasty when u want it
Exactly @@mikemac1180
Same here!
Same here easy for beginners in my opinion just keep it under 10k
@@alexchavez9083 well I got my 05 with 20k miles for 3k so I think that's doable lol I think even decent 06-14 bikes go for 5-7k
I remember the first time I rode an R1 from Reno to Virginia City... My heart will never be the same.
Or your back and wrists lol. 1st was so tall it was unreal.
@@deborahchesser7375 OMG Yes! My wrists on the way back down, especially since I was following my two friends from Cycle World Magazine. ❤😄
Yammie noob crying in tears over you loving the R6…
Yammie is a gate keeper. If I have to see one more “stop doing these things or you’re a beginning rider” I’m going to lose it. He is as bad as the Harley boys.
@@joeexotic4698 meanwhile watching a channel built on videos titled "is bike x BIG ENOUGH FOR A MAN"
@@joeexotic4698 this
It's unfortunate that Yammie Noob uses the platform to diminish some brands and make judgement for his uniformed audience based on specs on paper without considering who the bike was meant for and other factors such as price. He wants every bike to be a Triumph. (I am a sensitive Yamaha fanboy)
Don’t even watch yammie anymore. His content has gone downhill the past year.
The best thing about riding an R6 is that it's tame at lower RPMs. BUT once you hit that 10k it feels like the boost just kicked in and there's no other feeling like it..it really feels like something is just pushing you from the back.. It's a monster of a bike once you want to go fast. The feeling once that power kicks in is scary but extremely fun.
Thanks~~~~
To help with the low end power do two things 1. Flash your ecu, yamaha restricts throttle response to meet emission standards, so flashing ur ecu can remove the restrictions and give you 100% power like it should be.
2. Add two teeth to rear sprocket and go down 1 on the front sprocket, this will increase acceleration
06/07 Yamaha R6 was my first bike. Learnt on it and grew on it. Sold it a few years ago and going to buy another... probably the newer R6.
Is $6500 too much for a well taken care of 2008 Yamaha r6 with 6300 miles I’m in California ?
I just love how this thing looks! 🔥
I Just wanted to leave a message that I received my SRK Cycles sweat shirt and it was delivered quickly and it's great quality. Thanks again!
I had an r6 and I loved it. One of my fav bikes
I love my 2009 R6. At first I had to get used to the riding position and lack of low end power but now I love those things. For commuting the lack of low end power is kinda nice because you can be lazy on the throttle. And even then it's faster than most cars are

I have bought a 2017 for my first bike , I’ve rode motox for 20 years on and off, I absolutely love it !
After riding an FZ1 for a year now, I am a Yamaha guy. I never rode a 600cc. Went from Ninja 400 to FZ1, but would still like to ride a 600. I just like the more upright position of the FZ1 and the more mid range torque.
I have a 2005 fz1.... absolute rocket ship on two wheels lol....I to chose the fz1 for it's comfortability, upright riding position mixed with super bike horse power.
FZ ftw :)
Nah upright succ
@@BANANAHAMMER420 mine is a 2009, leaves most in the dust and comfortable on my one hour drive to work. Absolutely love it.
@@kytobike4516 yeah sure, an upright that will hang with or beat most 600cc and is more comfortable. Yeah sure sucks... lol
You are like a Yamaha man at heart.
Mind you Iike all Japanese motorcycles and had nst over the years but Yamaha is still my favorite
Love my 2014 R6!!! Just added a Leo Vince full exhaust & power commander w/ tune and man oh man is it even better then ever!
Thanks~~~~
It’s funny he mentioned the light thing because someone just did that to me a few days ago. Plus I had a helmet and headphones in so I had no idea what he was saying at first.
Yea i get it a lot with my bike too.
Im like "there not twins" !!
Only twin head lights both light up at the same time.
These are individuals ! Lol 😂😂😂
Is there an easy mod I can do to make them both light up without it being a high beam? Like switching out the high beam bulb with a low beam bulb?
Literally everyone that doesn’t know bikes

Hello Sean
Glad to see you are spreading Gods word. And your not afraid to have fun. Stay safe my Brother. As a side note I would love to hear you do a review on a old YamahaXS 650.
Im a new rider, been riding since july and i love my 2012 r6 i thinks its perfect
I would love to have an R6. They are insanely fast and sound incredible!👍👍🔥🔥🔥❤
Great video. My favorite type of video from your channel is review videos.
Thanks~~~~
Your channel is amazing! I have watched every video and by far my favorite channel ever. Thanks for the great videos! I would love to see a Honda CRF450L or hear your opinion on them in one of your videos, as I have been DYING to get one for myself someday. Keep up the great work!
Thanks~~~~
Honestly it more ways than you think, the begging helped so much, it really doesn’t matter man, chooser the bike you want and that’s makes the most sense (mainly you can afford it and it won’t kill you) bam done, I like r6 cuz it sounds cool, I like the color red ima get a Honda, do whatever, it won’t kill me, done and dusted
Saved me from getting the wrong bike! I will be spending a lot of time in those lower RPMs and that is a deal breaker for me. Thanks man!
Awesome to see this video showcasing what is practically "my bike." Mine is a 2013 with that same exact matte grey scheme, except mine has the black rims with the red accent instead of the gold rims. I really wanted the gold rims from 2014 but I just happened to find a deal in my area for the 2013. Not a huge deal.
P.S. I always keep both beams on no matter the time of day because the single light thing peeves me too.
Thanks~~~~
those gloves look awesome!
so glad you endorse my method of choosing motorcycles. I feel better about it now.
Thanks~~~~
The R6 is by far the best sounding motorcycle out there in my opinion. Maybe not stock but with a full system they sound amazing
Totally agree!!
That's why I loved my 2002 636 Ninja. Those extra little 36cc made so much difference at the bottom end. Just felt so smooth. And with the bike being the old school style, it was a pretty large frame. My 6'1" fit on it so comfortably.... I guess it would be classed more as a sports tourer these days. I really need to get myself another one before they're all gone for good...
Corrrrr legit waited so long for a new vid and you deliver the video with an R6 😍😍😍😍👌👌👌👌👌 MAN LIKE SRK
Yes love my r6..👍
I absolutely loved and miss my r6. I had a 2003 r6 Troy Lee design graphics the black and red one, and yeah, I had it less than 6 months and it got stolen 😒 been wanting another one since.
Awesome review..I’m looking into getting my first bike and I’m not sure what to start with. I often hear a 300 will be boring in 3 months, that a 600 is a good start idk but I like the look and sound of this r6..not sure how comfortable it is compare to other ones
i got the yamaha r6 as my first bike. first tattoo was of the yamaha logo on my arm. on my 3rd yamaha and now i need the R6 again before it's too late!
Thanks~~~~
"They like like a hybrid between a robot and a bug" I couldn't get a more accurate description frl
I love that your dealership is local to me, hopefully i can get my next bike at SRK cycles

I have been riding my 85 Yamaha VMax to work while it’s nice outside. She has 11K original miles. Looks brand new dark red metallic n black. Rebuilt the 4 Mikuni BDS34 carbs and she is freaking scary fast and corners like a demon. I installed a 170 rear tire instead of the 150 factory size. Looking to get a bike like the R6. Love me some YAMAHA
Got an 06 R1, bout a yr ago, my 92 vmax is getting ignored, needs carb help bad, and I am just watching it sit. I feel like a turd, need to sell it.🙄
It’s all about the rider!!! So true.
I had a 2014 R6 for about 5 years and I absolutely loved it, totally regret selling it.
Thanks~~~~
that sedici jacket you're wearing is one of my favorites
Thanks~~~~
this is off topic and not sure if older bike are your guys thing but would love to see a review of a 98 Kawasaki ZX9R love your content
I miss my R6, but I’m not a good enough rider to really have it in the mountains. But back in Dallas it was amazing
Thanks~~~~
I can't have a R6, my belly would rest on it.
I let my sack rest on mine
I’m actually from around the area where he reviewed this bike. Landisville PA
I have a 2017 1300 miles stopped riding. Selling for $6000. It has minor scratches from a low side. Everything was checked out and a new battery. It's basically brand new minus some scratches on the fairings.
I bought a 2020 last year. Being used to dirt bikes this little motorcycle is definitely a different animal. I love it but hate everyone else around me. It’s very unforgiving but also will work with you if you stop thinking about riding it. I’ve never had so much fun hating to ride anything like i do with my Halloween colored R6.
Thanks~~~~
I have a 1997 Yamaha YZF750, of the big 4 I would consider yamaha to be my least favorite but I love old bikes and I got it for a good price. What I love about it over any new 600 is that it has a very linear power band, It makes good power from 3000 to its 13K redline. 750 Is the magic displacement, Rides good in town, cruises great on the highway and at wide open it still outruns new 600s
It doesn't outrun new 600s
That stock exhaust sounds amazing! Never looked at the crotch rockets, but this one definitely has me thinking.
Thanks~~~~
i have a 2003 and this looks, and sounds just like mine. almost like they didnt change anything but the tank and fairings
Sean is the best at motorcycle reviews on UA-cam. I hope to give you my business some day.
I have the same 2014 model, i love it! I also love the nature of less power at low end it means i can ride it and take liberties without any surprises however if i want animal speed i drop a couple of gears and im off to 16500 rpm land.. when im in fun mode i never see gears 4-6 lol
Exactly why I bought the R6 and love the 600cc class in general. I love cruising around and when I want to I can open throttle 👍
Which of the 600cc bikes is most comfortable to daily 45min to work and back? Pleasure ride on weekends. I’m not biased to any brand. I’m 6’2 225lbs. Had a 2001 GSXR 600 and it was nice but bikes have changed since then.
I'm 17 and already want to get one of those as my first bike, I finished my MSF course too
Um. No.
Sean, could you please review the 2021 Triumph Boneville Speedmaster
I'm also interested in this. Comfy to sit on (the frame catches your inner thighs at standstill though) and I would love to see a full review.
Best looking fairings of all bikes in my opinion
Love these super sport bikes, unfortunately that ship has sailed for me due to being old and fat 😂. The 1988 Honda hurricane 1000 made me fall in love with them.
Mr.Henderson it's never too late to start riding again!
Some workout and walking everyday and your good to go !
God bless 💯💪🏽
These are great bikes don’t worry about the low end it’s actually beneficial in everyday riding think stop starting at traffic lights and so on but if you want a bike to kill you off the mark than look at 1000s
I've been riding dirt bikes since I was a kid (20 now) been thinking About an r6 for my first street bike. I'm familiar with dirt bikes and such and havnt had problems with them. Do you think this would be a good first street bike?
that's why it's my 2nd bike, my first is a 150cc bike. the low end rpm is manageable.
My 2017 has a little buzz on my booty at 8k that tells me it's woken up. I had it tuned to streamline that low-end power, tho. But it definitely lives at the highs
Yamaha is #1! I bleed blue! The FZ09 is a sick bike!
I love your bike bro 👌
Thanks~~~~
I know this post is a bit old but I’m deciding between this gen of r6 or the new aprilia rs457
watching here from the philippines..follow u from utube and facebook
I don't think I've seen an ADV on your channel lately. Review Africa Twin and Tenere 700 off-road
I have a first gen. 1999. Never been wrecked. Would ride it anywhere.
I have a 2020 R6 and they neutered the hell out of it in the tune. I sold a 2011 R6 to a buddy and it is way faster than the new one. Both stock. You need an ECU tune to really get the power out of the new ones.
Beautiful
The Word is always a good thing😎👍

My favorite was 2007. Red and white.
I wanted to love the r6 but the zx6 just had everything i wanted for street riding, not to mention a better price point.
I agree on the price point but just looked at new ones and the colors are god awful. They had a teal and white or the krt colors and I hate green not to mention the red with it.
Sean, your thoughts on the new R7? Will you review one soon?
Bro I was looking at the R7 and is a stepdown from the R6, less performance, less ability to tune. I'd rather have a 2010 R6 than a 2021 R7.
Present sir.. have a good day everyone
just get it dyno tuned.
I have a2016 636 and it was a beast in the lower end, but it was running very rich. It would pull hard on every gear almost, got it dyno tuned then the bike got slow as hell. it ended up just like this r6. Bc the rpm was at 6k at like 60mph. So i took it back, and he re did it and it was doing it bc kawasaki put eco mode on the bike. So now its back to normal, alot smoother and still wakes up at 10k and up but low and mid end is still pretty aggressive without harming the engine.
0-60 in "4.12" Pittsburgh Pennsylvania baby!
i had one of these and made a few videos with it, not on this channel. had to sell it. and then the guy who bought it after me wrapped it around a tree. it was the red white and black scheme you photoshopped onto the wall during the kid scene, these bikes are amazing, not super comfortable. but its fine. 1500 miles in one day. worth it.
I’ve been riding an sv650 for some time now. Fun bike, versatile. But I’m trying decide if I want an r1 or r6. I’m starting to think r6 is the route
Love the channel Sean. I’m a 6’2” rider looking for a bigger bike. I’m currently on a crf250l but I want to get into sportier bikes. Trouble is, I don’t feel comfortable on a 400.. I really like the idea of an r6 but not sure if it’s too much power for a more novice rider. I’ve been riding about 2500 miles in 4 months and feel confident when I ride… Thoughts?
U ain't ready
You'll be fine with the R6. If you have 2500 miles under your belt, you won't have any issue. I got my R6 after about 2000 miles on a smaller bike and honestly felt like I could have started with the R6. Under 8k RPMs its actually very tame of a bike, quick, but nothing extreme. Above 8k RPM and the thing absolutely flies.
The only thing to be cognizant of is your own responsibility and restraint. You'll be fine physically riding the bike but nothing can make up for irresponsible or unsafe riding. No amount of skill will allow you to ride 100mph through surface streets or street race in traffic.
Go with the R1 and learn the bike
