Jose Buono is on the top of my wishlist. I love how random the variegation is. It’ll always be so exciting seeing the new leaves.
It’s soooooooo good. Def get a good specimen. It’s worth it I promise!!!
Jose Buono was my gateway into rare plants. I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s still one of my top 5 favorite philos! Love that it’s variegation is stable
agree! I love everything that has variegation, it makes every plant unique and every new leaf and experience!
Jose Buono is also on top of my list!! and I'm eyeing NSE but it's $$ :')
With the Jose Bono doesn't the variegation go by temperature or something up with the plant?
Omg yayyyyy so happy to see a video again.

Idk how the hell u get ur anthuriums so big!!! I'm still drooling over that doryaki hybrid u sent me the pic of the other day. It's on my wishlist now lol. Omg!! That McDowell... so pillowy! I need one!!
DUDE real sunlight, liquidirt, MSU orchid fertilizer, superthrive, real pon does the trick for the anthurium! I do love the McDowell. Love you boo!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet aaahhh!!! I'm taking notes! Luv u more 😘
How is that buono staying compact in that cup with so many awesome leaves? Dream plant vibes ❤
I’d say it’s probably the lighting but it’s been so cloudy this spring it’s not looking at perfect anymore
Love to see you posting again, I missed you!
Thank you so much for saying that! It’s fun to be back 🪴❤️
If I had the space I would collect large plants! But, it’s hard to keep large plants inside the room when you have a baby that loves to grab stuffs lol!! Beautiful plants btw!
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing!
Wow i really admire you so much beacuse i am a plant lover too. Watching up to the end and leave all my support to you ok ? Stay connected ..

Thank you for the update. The plants look gorgeous!! 😍
Well I was looking forward to seeing Ralphie but I'll settle for a Ralphie bootie🍑 shot I guess 🤣😂
Hahahaha he has his own Instagram if you want to see him
Far out, the Jose seems to have such short internodal spacing. You've clearly crushed its light needs :D
I cant believe how large your Florida beauty is omg and that jose? My gawd how do you do anything but stare at these all day long? Ive been dieing for a paraiso verde myself. I gotta get one once it warms up here in ny. Also how do you grow anthurium so large? I only have seedlings and cant for the life of me get them to grow at all. I know its me lol
Hey! Sometimes it can be pretty tough to not stare them all day! I’m honestly not the best at growing out anthurium seedlings but I think I’ve finally figured it out. I grow all of my anthurium in pon except my clarinervium and veitchii and I have a few others in moss. Most of them do really well that way. I’ve started taking my seedlings that are in moss and just layering the moss on top of pon and letting them root into the pon and so far it’s worked out for a few of them so we’ll see how that turns out. I also leave them in prop boxes for a long time. Anthurium seedlings are super difficult so don’t feel too bad about it!
@Plant Friend Down The Street thank you. I appreciate your tips lol maybe ill put mine back into a box. But i figufed beong in an indoor greenhouse would act the same. Idk though im fairly new to the greenhouse and its hard to keep it humid like a prop box without a humidifier. But ill get there eventually lol thank you
I also looove crawlers. Don''t want to be misting poles all the time. But I am looking forward to living in a more spacious area because I want them to grow BIG. lol I have a McDowell now and I am importing a gloriosum, luxurians, and plowmanii citrus. Been binging your videos in preparation!
Thank you! Also PS I cover the back of my poles in plastic and it drastically increases the time they stay wet. Game changer!
Yessss! Plastic backed moss poles were a game changer for me too!!
yay!!!!!!!!
Your plants are awesome.what do you feed them..? Absolutely stunning..!
I go over my solution in my Pon video but I honestly think that the lighting has more to do with it. Most of these big plants get at least partial sunlight throughout the day. My plants getting the same feed under the growlights dont grow as fast or get as big.
Great video , thanks. You are missed , was great seeing you again.
Hello maam ! Greetings from your new friend in the Phillippines ok ?
Girrrrllll I would love to be in your local plant group 😝😍👌🤍
I have missed you! So happy to see this post. Your Jose Buono is jaw dropping. Mine is still little. They grow fast though. Wishing you happy holidays!!
Love your content and always enjoy your bright smile! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you so much, that is so kind of you to say!
My queen is in semi-hydro thriving in 34% room humidity. Her leaves look great ❣️ I love semi-hydro for anthurium (I love it for all my plants actually 😂)
I need to figure out what to do with my queens because they are still in moss and I don’t think they are loving life so much anymore but I’m so scared to transition them… I’m hoping to take them out of the tent in the spring…
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet I purchased a small specimen locally from a seller, they had it in moss and in a grow tent. I didn't acclimate it I just threw it straight into LECA and crossed my fingers. Luckily she's doing great, I'm located in a cold climate and she's 10 feet from the baseboard heater. She's currently putting out the second leaf in my care with seemingly no issues so far. I'm happy to DM you pics of the plant/my setup on Instagram if you'd like 😊
Ugh, I want a piece of Queen Celine soooo bad 😭 The variegation on your pariso verde is stunning! I've been able to get mine to produce one really nicely variegated leaf but the rest have grown to be mostly green but I was unaware that it was due to lower temperatures. I also have mine sitting out in ambient room conditions so I'm not sure how to increase the temp for it without making my house warm and uncomfortable lol. Do you think yours will still produce the same amount of variegation on the leaves that grow between now and the spring/summer with the temps being lower?
Hey! My paraiso put out another leaf since I filmed this and it’s almost totally green unfortunately. I might try putting it on my heat mat but I still need to pot it up, lol! I have a whole bunch of other Queen Celine cuttings so if you don’t win the giveaway and you’re still interested feel free to DM me and I can show you the other cuttings and whatnot.
Hellooo mama yeyyy another life gezz what u feed ur plant 💚💚💚💚
Heyyyyy! Plant food recipe is in the pon video ❤️🪴
Yeah, that Lynamii fall from grace was DRASTIC right?? I don't really get it either! I mean, maybe they weren't worth what they were going for before, but I am still surprised that they haven't become more of a staple plant for collectors!🤔 They're such easy care, the new leaves are like HOT pink and heart shaped, AND they're leaves have those beautiful deeper veins that are close together and just STUNNING!! What's the deal guys?!🤷
I love all your plants outside! You definitely know how to grow El Choco!
I actually have a pretty big one in my cabinet that no one has ever seen… maybe I should just it out?
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet oh my gosh you have to show us!! Just hop on & do a live! Lol!! I’m kidding…. Kinda! 🤡
@@uncutplants5613 I should at some point. I posted it on my IG a few weeks back. It’s outgrown the cabinet at this point.
Awesome video. I love seeing your plants! I got a Jose Buono from a friend. It was a bonus plant in a trade. Bonus! I never really thought much of them but hey, someone gives you a free plant, you enjoy it! The one I have gets creamy yellow variegation rather than white. The one issue I have with it is that the creamy part seems to turn brown on me. I'm not sure why. I've yet to find the cause or solution to it. But it just keeps pumping out leaves. I love the "Doriyaki". It's so cute. I don't have any anthuriums and still need to try one!
Thank you so much! Thats so odd about the cream on your Jose. I’m not sure what to say about that other than maybe your substrate is too dense? I find that’s usually the issue when my Albo monstera brown… maybe treat it for pests just in case. Apparently flat mites are the new thing going around and they are 100% microscopic.
I won the albo so im giving another person to enter ☺️💕💕
Would love to buy one of your El Choco’s if your interested in selling one of them. First time seeing your videos and was very enjoyable. I’m now subscribed. Have a great day
Ah shoot. I just sold a bunch of them!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet that’s alright. I’ll get one eventually
Are your philodendrons in pon or soil,? Some of your big plants look like they are in soil.
Most of my philodendron are in a soil-less aroid mix. I love pon but I have found that keeping large plants in pon is extremely difficult because it gets so heavy, requires so much water and the materials are really expensive! Large self watering planters can be over $100 so I can only really justify that for my expensive anthurium. Thanks for the question!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Thanks for the video on the philodendron soil mix!
