The queen making a come back! Hell yes!
😊
Love them all ❤ Results like these are what keep us going. Your Florida Beauty has really taken off 👏👏
Thank you for noticing! I’m very happy with it and very proud!
Your Queen looks strong and healthy! I hope she can keep thriving for you.
Do you watch Plant Gay For Life? He keeps his anthurium in ambient humidity and says that as long as you keep the roots humid, they can still grow big. He does this with no drainage glass planters and has a whole video on how he combines substrate to maintain the moisture without leading to root rot. Something like that might be helpful for yours.
I don’t watch him but I also keep most of my anthurium out in ambient conditions with a lot of success… the problem with no drainage glass planters is that you can’t flush them and eventually you will either start having a hard time finding larger ones when it’s time to upsize or minerals will build up in the substrate and gradually effect the ph until eventually the plant will go into nutrient lockout if you leave them too long. No drainage def works in the short term but it’s not set and forget in the long run. That’s why I don’t do it that way.
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet that’s all good reasons to stay away from it 😆
I think I would be ok with trying out one or two plants like that, but I can def see how the cleaning would be a nightmare lol
I love favourites videos, it's great hearing about the joy other people's plants are bringing them.
That’s good to know!
I totally love favorites videos. I love to hear what plants the UA-camrs I find interesting are loving
honestly I loved your anthurium video and I shared it to my plant nerd friend. So the video is appreciated and you did a great job. NOW EVERYONE GIVE THIS WOMAN SOME MONEY!!!
This literally means so much to me ✨🪴❤️
I love favourites videos
Congrats! I love fav videos. Please make more.
Good to know!
Congrats 🥳🎉 Your El Chaco is stunning, think I need to put mine on a metal moss pole after seeing yours. Lol You could run a green plastic metal garden steak down the middle of your Chaco plastic pole for support. 💚
Thank you so much! I will definitely try to add some supports but the one thing about super chunky mix that is tough is that it doesn’t hold things in place, lol
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Right, experiencing that with my Verrucosium. Wobble wobble lol
I should have made a thicker pole 🤪
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plants lovely collection beautiful
Thank you for such a sweet and kind comment!
I was watching ur channel on a binge and loved to see how the queen has made it back with a gorgeous leaf!\
Thank you! I’m very relieved
There are a few content creators I’ll pretty much watch regardless of the topic.
You’re one of them 😁
But also, favorites and disappointment videos are a great way to work out which plants are worth investing in.
Still laughing about your… what’s better than one cover girl bit 😂
Thank you for saying that!
I love favorites! Thanks 😊
Glad to hear it!
We looove favorites videos
Good to know!
"We're really talkin this shit up aren't we" 🤣 love the energy.
fav videos are my fav! lol
Good to know!
Some channels do like monthly favorites which I think is too much. But I think a favorites video every once in a while is nice.
Beautiful plants! 🪴
Congrats! I love favorites videos. But really, I love any video that shows beautiful plants
I love favorites videos because we get to see your unique collection! I am so into anthuriums lately and just finished watching/listening to (at work you know..) the fancy anthuriums video and found it fascinating! I'll never own those gorgeous anthuriums but it's nice to covet them... looking forward to some new videos!
I love your content Your content is awesome😊
Thank you so much!
Appreciate and love all your works. I have learned a lot. Well done, from the Philippines! ❤
Yep! Beautiful plants…enjoy!!! 🌿🪴🌱
I love favorites videos! Even if you get slick capabilities with new editing stuff I hope you keep the swish sound in your title and scene change. I can’t wait for my velvet philos to size up, yours are so inspiring!
The main feature of a new computer would mostly be being able to edit without lagging and my computer freezing hahaha. I like the swish so I’ll probably keep it.
Lovely video 😊 I like laid back videos! 😂 Btw my choco has always done well in pon! I think the hoya is a green carnosa, some have fancy names like stardust (with more speckles) etc but they all look pretty similar 🌱💚
Interesting - I want to stay away from keeping large Philodendron in pon though. Pon just gets way too unruly when the pots start to get too large and it’s really expensive.
Thanks for the Hoya ID. My friend looked at it and she thinks it’s either the stardust or freckles. You can’t see it on the older leaves but all of the new ones are coming in really speckled. Not that it really matters to me, haha!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet That's very true! My plant is not that big yet around 15cm pot I think 🤔
Hoyas tend to put out more speckles and splashes with higher light! Some varieties will sunstress nicely too! Just in case you want to experiment 😂
I’ve got them outside so that’s probably why! Thank you for the tips!
Absolutely love your content and channel. Your videos are so well researched and entertaining. I also love when you share on personal level; your journey and home plant decor are so great too. I started my career in Finance and Private Equity and have made some scary transitions in my life, and so respect what you have done and what you are doing!
P.S. You’re skin looks especially gorge in this video.
I love favorites videos!
This was a lot of fun!
Ok good to know!
You’ll soon be making your 7k video!! Congrats🎉
I hope so! Thank you so much!
I’m also not a hoyahead lol. I do have 8. They kind of sneak up on you.
All these blooms are slowly turning me into one, as if I needed a new plant fix lol
Congrats 🎉🥳 on the 6k! Love your videos specially the info about anthuriums.
On another note your Hoyas looks so happy ❤ the first one you showed it was a Carnosa and the spots on the leaf appear according to the lighting, the second is a shepherdii 😊. I would recommend you get a Hoya Krohniana, the leafs are absolutely beautiful on that one ✨
Congrats on 6k and very soon 7k! Your plants are stunning 😍 I think that Hoya is some sort of Carnosa - maybe silver splash or something like that? It looks a lot like my Carnosa splash, especially the blooms 🌸💚
Thank you! I think you’re right about the Hoya being a carnosa. Everyone seems to agree
Congrats! I hope I can grow some of my collection to the size of your beautiful glorious! I have a monsters pinatipartita that doesn’t seem to be sizing up even though it’s growing up a moss pole 😭
Thank you! Monstera are kind of tricky IMO. Not to sure what the X factor is to get them thriving
Congratulations on getting close to 7K I remember a while back when we were around the same . I know how tuff it is especially for an old plant friend boomer dude like me lol
Your Florida beauty is gorgeous! Mine started to revert to green and I've been thinking of chopping it down and probably give the original plant a pole. Fingers crossed 🤞 Great video 😊
Yes! do a favorite’s video.
Doing a video with hoyas and not knowing what they are (and admitting that) deserves 8k subs. 😅
That’s the straight dope yo.
I am very unpretentious about my Hoyas hahaha. My friend told me it’s some kind of carnosa and we were able to figure out the one with the long skinny leaves was sheperdii when it bloomed.
👍🏼
How are your leaves so perfect? Are all of these grown in a cabinet? It would be great if you could tell us what substrate makes them grow to perfection like that 😮
I have a lot of care videos planned over the next few months, but imo It’s not the substrate, it’s water quality. Ph balancing works wonders. I’m also really lucky with my ambient conditions. I have 65% humidity and balmy temps year round. I’m in one of the only pockets of the US that didn’t get the heat wave that just happened.
I actually do like favorites video’s so thanks for making one! I have a question, you said your queen got powdery mildew and that you fixed it. How did you fix it? I Just Recently got a queen anthurium and I’m so scared I’m going to kill it 🫣😅 Congrats on 6k btw! Almost 7!
Thank you! By fixing it I really mean that I cut off all the affected leaves. It’s in LECA now and much happier. I think it was just getting way too dried out in moss. Queens like water. They pretty much always want to be the exact same amount of moist.
PS: I'm really nervous about my newly imported Warocqueanum. I have her in water in a closed clear tote. Thinking about putting her in pon and moving her to my cabinet soon
I am always nervous with queens so I am sending you alllll of the good vibes!
Much appreciated 🥰💚
Congratulations you're almost at 7k! 🎉
I have a love hate relationship with queens. I imported mine and rehabbed it for months. It finally put out a huge new leaf, but i had it in moss/perlite and i let it dry out too much and then watered it and the bottom part of the chonk rotted and it lost the leaf. I salvaged what i could and repotted it. Hopefully it will come back 😢😅
Sounds so familiar ✨🪴❤️
Hi, love your favorites video💚. I have my queen in room condition at about 60% humidity, however when I got my second, which was big, at the beginning it lost all leaves, but got now very fast new ones. I figured out she doesn't like changes in environment and don't like to get to dry and need always fertilizer and good light. So can't tell if that is helpful, but it's kind of working for me 😅🙏 💚🪴💚🪴💚
Thank you! I scared to try that but I know that’s probably what I’ll have to do. I’m terrified of what’s going to happen when we move
💜💚🤍
Girl, make your youtube channel a LLC and charge hardware spends as a business expense!
I’m looking into that but you still have to pay for it upfront though. This channel def doesn’t make enough to cover that, lol
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet darn! Perhaps when the channel hits 30k ❣️
Yeah maybe, we’ll see how next year goes! Just trying to get to 10k for now
Love your work! The Fancy Anthurium vid was very well done. I have learned so much from you and really appreciate your hard work. An occasional favorites video is great cause it helps me see what my plants are ‘supposed’ to look like when they grow up😊 your huge plants are so beautiful. I also like to see plants with a smaller profile since space can become an issues. I recently passed on an anthurium metallicum after I saw how big they can get. I ain’t got room for that. 🪴
