Oh, I saw it as a way of crediting him in general, like if he has a role somewhere and people want to find other stuff with him, they'll see he performed here

I just now realized this; so you know how Ricky plays “the priest” throughout this song? i respect this take as a trans guy myself, but i personally think it’s much more of a drag queen thing than a trans thing! it’s kinda the reason why the word girl is always paired with the “fucked up” phrase lmao, nonetheless as an aspiring drag queen i relate heavily to this song!!

I’d say it’s about the same until the final part, then that’s when this version really shines. But yeah, most of the “official audio” seems more relaxed then they should be
I really like the official audio, but I often find myself coming to listen to the live versions for this and The Ballad of Jane Doe. I dunno, something about the actual stage versions just sound incredible to me. :)
I love the official audio for its cleanliness. It sounds like an actual song you listen to outside of the context of musicals, but I love this version for the main story it tells, the recorded just seems to take away the actual context . I think I might like the official recorded version better, but I feel guilty saying it because Noel’s really hot in this 😭
I have listened to this over 8000 times at this point and I have finally narrowed it down to every single part in the song. I am dedicated to get this role I don’t care that I am a female I truly want to be that fucked up girl
Omg my kinnie!! I’m also a female human being wandering around and I want to have his role too bad! But all I could land on is Constance, which is not bad cause I love her too, and our Noel is just badass sass despite being a straight man… but man I still want to be that f*cked up girl!

something i've never really saw someone talking about, but noel's lament seems to be jewish. the music uses classical elements of jewish music, but even far more important, the dance in the background (4:41-5:00) is like no doubt jewish (especially the way ocean dances it), the going back and forth, the way they lean to the front with their hands behind their back, the leg crossing, the arm raising and falling ect. I don't I just thinks that gives the song even more character lol
words can't express how much I love this. The transformation at the beginning, the acting is amazing, the background dancers, THE SINGING!! Noel is definitely one of the best characters to exist in my eyes,
I think it says something that he romanticizes something that would be actually not fun. Like his life was that boring. He just wanted to feel something in its extremes not realizing how much that actually hurts.

A world of boozy-floozy flashing light
For I sing songs until the break of dawn
I embrace a new man every night
My life's one never ending carnival
A world of boozy-floozy flashing light
I want to be that fucked-up girl
I wanna be that fucked-up (girl)
Broken heart, a flask of gin
Tattooed with a safety pin
Teeth all stained with nicotine
Running nylons, shattered dreams
Super crusty, holy terror
Wild eyes and black mascara
Broken heart, a flask of gin
Tattooed with a safety pin
Teeth all stained with nicotine
Running nylons, shattered dreams
Super crusty, holy terror
Wild eyes and black mascara
If I could have just one dream (ahh)
(If he could have just one dream)
I'd be that fucked-up girl!
Hey!
i can write it from my memory
it's getting creepy 😓
Thank youuu
Listening to this song from the actual musical is better than listening to the official audio
dadadada live performance is very emotional!! and staging dances is just a twinkle. I love this song with all my heart
I love the official audio for its cleanliness. It sounds like an actual song you listen to outside of the context of musicals, but I love this version for the main story it tells, the recorded just seems to take away the actual context . I think I might like the official recorded version better, but I feel guilty saying it because Noel’s really hot in this 😭
four entire dramatic death rolls at 2:50 is crazy. i love this song
I have listened to this over 8000 times at this point and I have finally narrowed it down to every single part in the song. I am dedicated to get this role I don’t care that I am a female I truly want to be that fucked up girl
LMFAO SAME
Mood
Omg my kinnie!! I’m also a female human being wandering around and I want to have his role too bad! But all I could land on is Constance, which is not bad cause I love her too, and our Noel is just badass sass despite being a straight man… but man I still want to be that f*cked up girl!
same LMFAO
i love how they actually frocking kissed and you can hear it thru the mic
the rehearsal is even better
it sounds like something you would hear in male toilet in school
@@alde3528 that’s a quite specific place to hear guys making out 💀
@@alde3528 is there a video of it out there ?
Bro I love them 😭😭
@@impala2215in the “Works and Progresses” video of Ride The Cyclone, Noel and Mischa kiss so aggressively the mica started making rustling sounds. It starts during the 16:44 second mark
something i've never really saw someone talking about, but noel's lament seems to be jewish.
the music uses classical elements of jewish music, but even far more important, the dance in the background (4:41-5:00) is like no doubt jewish (especially the way ocean dances it), the going back and forth, the way they lean to the front with their hands behind their back, the leg crossing, the arm raising and falling ect.
I don't I just thinks that gives the song even more character lol
it definitely feels very ashkenaz at parts lol ur onto something here jeremy
I *was* wondering the inspiration behind the last piece of music, I felt like it had cultural roots or something
As a gay Jewish theater kid, god I love this.
no when i heard it i thought it was hava nagila at first…
his hand flaps for every hit at 4:46 i love it
4:06 obsessed with this part ❤
his smile is so cute I can't get over Kholby or Noel theyre just adorable I want to hug them
The high notes are so impressive
Ok, but the beginning where he messed up the shoe and played it off with the kick oml
brilliant improv
It was so good
I thought it was planned until I went to the comments!!
Kholbys voice is so good ISTG 🙏
the way my whole world shook when i found out the whole half of the play noel was wearing a tearaway vest
I'm soooo happy people are finding this musical the songs are amazing!
Historians will say he was a slightly excentric straight man
words can't express how much I love this. The transformation at the beginning, the acting is amazing, the background dancers, THE SINGING!! Noel is definitely one of the best characters to exist in my eyes,
omg i love his voice
me too! noel has summoned me to rtc with his voice
This is so impressive. Musical actors are literally crazy

OHMMGFBBE BYEEE
@@vambrosiaofficialNOEL WOULD NEVER USE REDDIT SMHHH.
Nobody ever mentions how he was wearing the dress under his choir outfit, which means he died in it, WHICH MEANS HE WORE IT TO THE AMUSEMENT PARK💀😭
Pretty sure in universe he didn't. It's just a trick so he can transform into Monique quick
He would make an AMAZING Dr Frank-N-Furter!!
OMG YEAS
“If the other choir members find out I can shapeshift they will tell the church” 💀
Is nobody talking about how HE SLAYED THE WIG THE ENTIRE SONG??!!
AND IN HEELS!???
@@IkigariiYEA LIKE HOW DID HE DO THAT
@@Funtherun_ MY ANKLES WOULD SNAP AND BREAK WITHIN 5 MINUTES

holy fucking shit.... just found this and this performance is so hypnotizing and amazing. i couldnt keep my eyes off of the actor. wow
PURE GENDER, LOOK AT HIM, WHAT THE HELL
I had this stuck in my head all day. It’s hella catchy.
rip noel, you would’ve loved y/n wattpad fanfiction
Noel is everything I want to be and I love him
3:53 is 𝓘𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓲𝓬!
Why is no one is talking about the fact Mischa mouths the words “I think I am in love with you”!!!!!
it's attractive af
I think it says something that he romanticizes something that would be actually not fun. Like his life was that boring. He just wanted to feel something in its extremes not realizing how much that actually hurts.
this is INSANE!!! He’s an outstanding singer and actor ❤
4:32 i love this part so much omg the way he says carnival is amazing
That’s what I was thinking
the way the wig looked good after the second he put it on, like HOW
I love how aggressive he is singing but still sounds amazing none the less - i love this more than the musical
i cannot put the feelings this performance makes me feel into words
It makes me feel like a low constant 808 with sparkles lol
Ironically, my friend who introduced me to Ride the Cyclone is also named Claude
I watch this everyday RELIGIOUSLY.
noel is my dream role. i love him.
4:49 best thing ever
I tried to do that but I destroyed my throat 😓
I re-opened the video for this shot.
THERES SOMETHING ABOUT HIS VOICE THATS SO UGH I LOVE IT!??!!?!?
I've discovered something else in me, now I love musicals. Also, how tf he can shapeshift so well sing dance and be dramatic I could never 😭
ICONIC
It's impressive how quick Gus was able to recover from that slap
