Oh my God, thank you so much.I immediately looked at the button.There was dust and there was a small charm from a necklace that had got stuck on there.I cleaned it removed it.The light immediately went away.Thank you so much
My Honda just did that to me and the first step fixed it. Seem that there were crumbs under the button. After I cleaned it, it went away. Thank you for the advice.

Same thing happened to my2019 mdx sh-awd we changed the battery on my truck and the brake sensor came on. Just two weeks before I had the rear brakes changed. The technician literally worked on the truck checking fuses as well as changing the rear brake module to no advail. I have to take it to Acura. Thanks for sharing

Thank you very informative video yet no problem here with my actual parking brake switch but most definitely will keep food, drink and coins away from area!!! 😅 I have lights on my dash display, yet on my right rear wheel of my 2015 Acura TLX I seen a broken wire that had electrical tape around it and as I inspected it’s also on the back side of a wire so with front wire that had no protective tube covering I respliced wire, yea it worked and removed dash display lights yet within a few days I hit a pothole and now lights are back on display yet I found problem which is the harness above the wheel speed sensor that goes up in the quarter panel and I think the other wire on backside of rotor is the abs electric parking brake harness also… yet I’m wondering when I replace these wire harnesses will I have issues with reprogramming or simply undo my negative from battery while I replace??? Suggestions appreciated
This was happening to our 2023 Honda Odyssey. After seeing this video, we shut off the car for the 10th time, but this time we started pulling at that brake switch described in the first example. We then tried turning on the car again while still repeatedly pulling and releasing it and the car came out of brake and could move again.
We had to go straight to work since we were late, but we’ll be taking it to the shop afterwards. Thanks for saving us from calling roadside assistance from our own house!

You’re a lifesaver. I was having the same issue. A few other videos said a new battery would help. (I’m sure it did). So I went a bought a new battery but I felt it wasn’t the solution. So I came across your video. You mentioned the parking button can get dirty. I looked a my parking button and there was a dime stuck underneath the button that was causing the alert. I immediately returned the battery and saved a lot of stress and money, because the next step would’ve been going to the dealership. Thanks.

Our 2019 Honda Civic will not start, it has these messages about the parking brake. My husband had the battery and alternator checked and both are working. It will start when he has battery charger hooked to it, but when he turns it off, it won’t start again, when I hooked from battery charger. Why is it doing this and how do we fix it ourselves? This happen to me about 30 mins ago . I played with the switch about 2 mins once I got home and noticed some food fly out after a couple of attempts with the switch. Hoping that’s the issues just got the car 5 months ago

So I had a older Van one time. One day I was driving it I noticed it was hard to stop give it 24 hours I woke up to go to work in the morning headed out my drive way down a hill and completely loss brakes never before have I ever had problems with my brakes but that one day in advance. We'll in the process's I press my e brake in the floor and it by no means slowed me down it more of slingshotted me. My question is this a brakes malfunction or could it be possible someone tampered with my brakes.

Please help!! I have 2020 Honda HRV EPB is not releasing. Brake like is on, once I try to release the parking brake, the light blinks. Battery is good, button is clean. I tried holding the P button up for while to reset and also pressed down for while to reset, with engine on and engine off, holding the foot brake.... still not releasing. Car starts good, everything seems normal, but can not drive the car. Do I need to tow the car to dealership?

Working on cars for almost 30 years. I did a 4 wheel brake job on a friends 2017 CRV. I put the rear calipers into service mode first with my scan too and then back to normal mode after the brake job. Now, no matter how many times I reset the computer or erase all codes I have a U0416:68 VSA system malfunction, U416:F8, U0401:68, P2583:97, U0416:92, C1870 fuel and emissions error, P0299 Turbo underboost error, Car goes into limp mode when I hit 3000 RPM immediately.
I had the same issues, the car tire was burst on high way, after changing the spare tire, I get all those signs.
The mechanic said to me to replace AT oil pressure sensor, right ream ABS
right beam wheel bearing, RR parking brakes actuator, 😮
I have no idea what to do, i did all UA-cam experiments, but it still won't work.

My electric button break is engaged and is stuck in that position and will not disengage.
i was chilling in my car for awhile and it automatically did this, did it before a long time agai left the car locked it came back and it turned on normal and the signal went away did it today and the same problem popped up only me locking it and giving it time and coming back didn’t work havnt tried jumping the car hoping that’s the porblem

2019 Honda civic sport automatic.
Bought one of the e brake switches(35355-TBA-A01 )and it came with 8 pins, but the harness had 12 pins. I cannot happen to find the part number to order, can anyone help?

i have a problem with replacing rear pads, now the brake light is on and say's brake hold system problem, and electric parking brake system problem, and parking brake not available. The parking brake system do work, and you can hear it lock and unlock.

When I try to push down on the brake, it resists. It won’t let me press down on the pedal.

I think it’s the heat that’s affecting the battery because it does turn on when I jumpstart it
My driver side rear won’t engage at all after I manually retracted them and put new rotors and pads on. It’s better than being stuck i guess, but I get the same lights.
Same here! I replaced the pads and rotors on the entire car and now all of the brake warnings and lights are on. I've driven with it like that for months but today, I had a constant "disengage parking brake" warning. Brakes weren't hot and rims were nice and cool. I have no clue what could be causing it.
I went to Honda dealer and they said it was the wire to the caliper. $75 part that wound up costing me $500 😒 for them to “diagnose“ it and then replace it. I hope that helps you and if that was the culprit please let me know. Apparently Honda is famous for crappy wiring.
I wash the interior of my car and not sure if that's why. I barely have 20k on my car

I have the same problem , what you can do temporarily is to fasten your seat belt, then put your car in neutral press your brake pedal so car don’t roll over and active the brake hold once you dod that unfasten your seat belt and would active your parking brake

These are common issues with Acura also.
Mine has this problem but my car won't start . It takes it awhile. To start .
So, now we know the causes, what is the fix?
I think your problem is low battery and needs a jump start as it worked for me.

Having the same issues here. Jump started it. Works just fine for 2 days. Happened again today. Jumped it and works fine. Took it to auto parts store battery alternator and fuses look fine. Stressed. Dealership is no help!!! Said i have to wait a MONTH for an appt.

I discount the battery and wait for 3 minutes. reconnect it and it works.

Please be careful with the brakes on your Acura RDX 2019 wife was driving the other day lights came on on the dash hit the brakes and the brakes did not work as they should finally got the car stopped had to to the dealership diagnosed with the defective electronic brake booster assembly just out of warranty, they want us to pay $3000 to have it repaired corporate will not pay for it!! I’m done with Acura will be selling the car
Mine has ABS, electric brake problem, brake system hold problem power steering……I serviced my brakes 2-3 weeks ago it was fine…….had some warranty work done on a wheel bearing still drove off fine….. E brake still works……wondering if it’s anything to do with my audio system …..help please
