No it is meant for all graphics platforms, I'm on Nvidia and this program works fine. The black screens people are experiencing are from them finding their panels refresh rate limit. It is a normal occurrence and is easily fixed with a reboot and a dial back of the inputted refresh rate.

WARNING: Your monitor might look good for a while once you overclock it but once you restart, if you overclocked over its limit it will not let you boot. If this happens, the only solution I found was to completely install a fresh copy of Windows (Correct me if I'm wrong). Do at your own risk.
I play games at a slightly lower resolution, so if my moniter is advertised as a 144hz 1440p and i play most of my games at 1080p, would i be able to get an even larger overclock?

Could I use this program to go back to 75hz at my default resolution without having any problems?
LG ULTRAGEAR 2K 144Hz, it only let's me clock it up to 155Hz, anything over, even if by 0.1 turns red and can't apply, but as soon as i apply 155 Hz i get a popping message from the monitor itself saying that it's out of range. Max i can do, at stable is 154.300 Hz

To all those who are thinking of doing it!!
If you can't afford a new monitor right now...Don't do it!!
The level of risk IS NOT 0.00000001% but wayyy higher!! Every monitor panel will give different results. It might work for 10 people but YOU may be the unlucky guy that wrecks his panel :D
I’ve got a 240hz that can be overclocked to 280hz through the monitor itself (Alienware 27.5’ 1440p) Would I still be able to overclock & if so, what increments would I go up by?
I make my monitor 60 hz to 65 hz to get my monitor safe
If you're gonna do it be careful because over clocking Could definitely damage your monitor or g p u And your warranty does not cover that
How can it damage them?
will it work on laptop as it has inbuilt AMD graphics(display1) it gives max 144hz and also inbuilt nvidia RTX350(display2) graphics which gives max 60hz of refresh rate.
Work's great on my cheap AOC 60Hz monitor up to 85Hz stable but leaving it at 75Hz to be a bit safe.
I went from 60 hz to 82 hz ts works

Moniter not opening
Happened to me but i figured out how to fix it quickly. Basically you turn off system and then start it up again, in the startup screen you will press F5 and then you go in advanced boot startups and select safe mode wifh wi-fi. Then it should load you into window's safe mode version where you can change it back to the normal Hz of your monitor. I apologies for the English because i had to translate the windows things from my language to English so some things might be bit incorrect for example safe boot mode might be emergency mode. Also I'm 60Hz (60,020) user and when i changed it to 75Hz it turned black and when i tried 62Hz i didn't but i saw annoying white lines all over the screen, but i have expermiented with those values and i will reccomend yall to try 61,020 if ur on 60Hz, and yeah 1Hz is metter of like half milisecond or some bs but still =D.

You dont have to download that thing just go to nvidia control panel and go to resolution and click customize and you done (Nvidia gpus only) i hsve tested this out and it works great boosted my fps if screen goes black for too much press n in keyboard and it will revert back and you can lower so it won't go black screen
Alright after I finally got this to download I tried it and it doesn't work except for old monitors. I have a 240 hz monitor I was trying to create a 165 hz setting for but couldn't because the software greyed out the ok button when I entered it.
you dont need to download anyhting, this will more likely ruin thing. you can use your gpu management and change it there.

Try to reset your graphics drivers, you likely tried to overclock beyond what your display could handle
u can do this with Nvidia control panel rather than 3rd party software. Got my 144hz panel to around 160hz

Do it from the Nvidia Control pannel itself
AMD users can't do that

Yes, using custom resolution utility. However, this commenter suggested that doing the overclocking from Nvidia control panel is the better option. While it works great for Nvidia users, custom resolution utility works for both AMD and Nvidia which is why I suggest it in my video

you can change refresh rate in nvidia?
Its meant for amd users but poor nvidia users are doing this and getting a black screen and have to buy a new monitor LOL
No it is meant for all graphics platforms, I'm on Nvidia and this program works fine. The black screens people are experiencing are from them finding their panels refresh rate limit. It is a normal occurrence and is easily fixed with a reboot and a dial back of the inputted refresh rate.
