    Oh my goodness! You guys! You’re crushing it with this series of vlogs. From the mundane (fuel cost update for a single commenter!) packing up the tent, making PB&J sandwiches and cooking sausages on the tailgate to the sublime - the drone footage, the sunset, the cold swim and then the incredible gorge hike/swim. And then there’s all the funny stuff - “big things” accent practice, trash talking Tia’s driving skills! You are just fantastic to watch!! Keep enjoying yourselves and thankyou so much for the attention to detail that you put into each and every video. Love your work!! ❤❤❤

    When another vehicle is approaching at high speed in the opposite direction on a dirt road, slow down and get as far left as possible. It can throw up stones and your speed in the opposite direction means your windscreen will hit the stones at high speed. Big road-rains on dirt roads are the worst.

    You guys need to hit Mazda Australia up to fit a lockable hard cover for Luna's tray so you can put your luggage in the back of the ute out of sight rather than on the back seat. Mazda Australia should have thought of that before they gave the ute to you considering what your travel plans are! Great video as always guys. Glad to see you back in Australia. 😊👍🏻🇦🇺

      My favourite part of that area was Shell Beach. The dolphins weren’t as memorable as I expected them to be, too many people, too orchestrated. The dugongs were better, watching them from the catamaran we were on.

    Too many things to note, stand outs Cheveyo for scale, the ensuite camp ground that you could basically sleep in, Tia's not-an-accent-accent slip down the stairs, and that level 5 trail! I've never really wanted to do a hike or trail before but that one looks so fun

    I have a tent like that in case the fires come again and we have to bug out on a field somewhere. I've never opened it because I know I'd never be able to flatten it again. Great work there. I could nearly taste that big prawn! Love the colours you're capturing, especially the red soils and the greens on the trees.

    • @thies7831
      @thies7831 Місяць тому +1

      These tents are a recent invention by "efficient" people not wanting to set up a very basic tent in the rain without getting wet. They are so impractical when it does come to hiking as they cannot be compacted or their elements (Tent, fly, poles, pegs) separated between several people.

    A bit late to the party 🎉 in discovering you have uploaded yet another video - they are coming in so thick and fast now which is more than fine by me since they just seem to keep getting better and better!
    Love how you led with another ‘Big Thing ‘ I have not seen, although I have visited the original Big Prawn at Ballina here on the northern East Coast of NSW just before Byron Bay which was built in the late 1980’s and re-vamped in recent years - much bigger than the one in Exmouth but the one in Exmouth does appear to be more realistic though it appears to be more vibrant in colour suggesting it’s well and truly ‘cooked’!
    I have not journeyed between Exmouth and Broome during any of my WA travels so was excited to see the Hammersley Ranges, particularly Karijini Nat Park which is on my ‘Bucket List and from your perspective, it did not disappoint - the vibrant colours of the red dirt, aqua pools,, green trees and blue sky as well as the waterfall and sunsets are everything I hoped! (Feeling very jelly right now!)
    And is it just me or do other viewers experience chills in awe of your videography, drone shots and editing while at the same time still smiling. ? And did I detect the faint sound of a didgeridoo in parts of the soundtrack - if so, and it’s not just me connecting to the indigenous local spirits, there needs to be more of it - very fitting!
    Btw we call them ‘gorges’ not ‘canyons’!
    Perhaps you should have named the Ute ‘Dusty’ or maybe ‘’’Rusty’ for the red dirt! Good luck tryin’ to keep her clean on those roads! 😆 Luna has well and truly completed her initiation and passed with flying red dirt colours!
    Be sure and lock up your food supplies and scraps (seriously it’s recommended you ‘lock’ them up) at the risk of attracting them to your campsite and keeping yourselves safe from the cunning and clever wild scavengers they are which have been known to attack and sometimes in packs - not meaning to scare you but rather just keep you from harm.
    Cheveyo, you are sounding and acting more and more like a true blue Aussie bogan with each passing video! On yer mate!
    Oh, and I recommend you check out the Internet for famed Australian professional photographer Ken Duncan’s stunning photographs featuring Karijini NP (he incidentally resides just down the road on the NSW Central Coast) - his photographic works and books are what has inspired many of our travels to outback NSW and Queensland, WA and the NT!
    Safe travels!
