    The language of snag: A "snag" is just a sausage, more specifically it's usually a beef sausage but it could be other meat. A "sanger" is a sandwich of any type. And a sandwich is something made with sliced bread. Now the basics of life are clear.
    A "sausage sandwich" or "sausage sanger" or "snag sanger" can only be a sausage wrapped in a slice of bread or between slices of bread. You put it in a long bread roll here and it would normally be called a "hot dog" but if you wanted a more American style hot dog you'd buy saveloy sausages, which are like frankfurters but bigger.

Thank you 🙏🏼! You’ve caught the Outback 4WD bug. With beefed up suspension and All Terrain tyres (and a functioning compressor! 😂)there are so many more epic landscapes you can visit. The upside of the gnarly roads you came across is that these places are not overwhelmed with tourists and you can have places like Cathedral Gorge to yourselves. You are so right … many of the special locations across the entire Outback have a spiritual feel about them … and you do need to stop and reflect that Aboriginal people have been visiting these places for well over 40,000 years. Thank you again. 😘 to you both.

Back in the mid-seventies five of us teenage idiots drove a 1966 Holden HR wagon around Aus, back when there was very little tarmac, just endless corrugations and red dust. We fitted the beast with twin gearboxes, the std three-on-the-tree coupled to a four-on-the-floor Aussie box with a shortened t/shaft which gave us 12 forward gears and 3 in reverse. This allowed 3 lower gears than 1st for climbing sand dunes. It was fitted with H/Duty springs, big off-road tires (three spares on the roof rack) and a bull bar. It looked like something out of Mad Max. Did the trip without a mechanical failure but blew six tires. Fun times indeed. Cheers. 😁

    Really liked this video. It brought back memories of the Bungle Bungles when we went there years ago. Crossing streams and rough roads is quite satisfying when safely done and you can feel very pleased with what you achieved. I know I was surprised about what we did. The Repco compressor was a sad thing to happen. We used a Black Max for our travels and we still have it and it never let us down. But in those days, they were made in Australia, I think. I also think that everyone who watches your videos would support any application for citizenship!! In fact, I would go so far as to say that we would consider you both honorary Aussies.

    You two sure do it all proper like. Fun to watch. Remember if you come to a river or creek crossing always look at the other bank for wet tyre marks that indicate that others have successfully crossed.either that or look for car roofs sticking up out of the water.

    We like stars too, but shoes! 😂 Good to know I am not the only one to mention the lack of shoes.
    Rotisserie all the way. Men tend to run hot. I always found my hubby to be a great foot warmer.
    That would give me claustrophobia, the rock walls being so close, but it is gorgeous.

    Gorgeous shots of the Bungle Bungles and the southern skies ❤ Sanger = sandwich. Banger = sausage. Makes perfect sense 😛😅 Outback food prices are outrageous bc of transport costs and the fact that if there's only one shop of its type, they can charge what they like. And I'm telling you guys, ya need to apply for working holiday visas as a way to stay here longer. If Halls Creek wants you, other places will too 😊

Mazda will be pleased to see how Luna is being driven so well by you both and I'm sure Repco will give you a refund or upgrade on the defunct air compressor now you've mentioned them in this having nearly 77K Subscribers!!.:) Your trip reminded me why I didn't take my Toyota Altise on that road! Great video as usual our intrepid adventurers 😊🏆, I know I sound like a broken record, but the more I see you in Luna , the Mazda BT50 , I want one . Dual cabs are such a versatile and practical vehicle.
    The chasm looked very interesting in that by the look of it ( at least on my telly ) , the rocks in wall looked like they had been river smoothed , on the ground too, maybe that whole area was under water at some stage ?
    On the cold temperature , I’m a bit of a cold fish too😊, I feel the cold , in my neck of the woods Melbourne north overnight it was 1 Celsius …. Omg I hate winter in Melbourne 😂.

    Hi Tia and Cheveyo. No outback adventure is worth the trip until something breaks down. And old trick I used to use is to inflate the spare tyre to 100 psi. Then carry a tyre infatuation hose with a valve and pressure meter on one end. And a screw on tyre valve fitting on the other. Then just top the other tyres to required pressure from the spare when you come off the track and back on the bitumen. It's cheaper than those compressors, and has no moving parts.

    • @OnePackWanderers
      @OnePackWanderers  6 місяців тому +1

      I’m curious if doing this has ever destroyed your spare, since most light vehicle tires have a max PSI rating well below 100? Luna’s tires for example aren’t supposed to be aired above 44 PSI.
      I do think your strategy is interesting though 🤔

I'm sure we all thank you for taking the time to do this. I have just bought myself a 42ft sailing boat. It is currently in Darwin. I will be in Darwin very soon to sail it back home . Its weird seeing it was 10 degrees at night, which is freezing for Kimberly. You're lucky it's not the wet season. It is so humid up there in the southern summer. Dry desert heat smacking, into the tropical heat. Then, you have the added intensity of the southern hemisphere sun. it's insane how people live there.
