Watching Tia and Cheveyo discover the wonders of our country and seeing their joy, helps me see and appreciate these things through a fresh set of eyes. We take for granted how lucky we Australians are.
Nicely said....it's amazing how many Aussies whine and whinge about out great country. I suspect they're watching too much of a certain privately owned 'news' channel or reading newspapers put out by the same owner.
Hi there fellow Australian, i totally agree with you. We are very lucky to call AUSTRALIA HOME. Cheers Mate and all the best in your life and stay well and safe.😊
This couple are Aussies born in America!
Called Tia “love” is so very Aussie and North English.
Just adorable
16:00 The use of 'Bugger' in this context was perfectly acceptable.
I'd have said mandatory.
You could have gone 5 or 6 degrees worse and we wouldn't have blinked. There was series of ads, I think for Toyota, where Bugger was the byword, including when a dog fell out of the tray of ute, landed in the mud and "bugger!". They may have been made in New Zealand. I remember a Kiwi accent.
15:30 I went to 16:00 because I had missed the use and couldn't find it lol. I think an ad cut out a few seconds at the Bugger section I recalled the Gee-long talk but definitely missed that line. Hm. I wonder how many other bits and pieces i've missed with ads jumping me around...
but enough rooting, ok?
2:11 you also need black puffer jackets to really fit into Melbun! 🙃
15:25 yep! Nailed it with “Geelong” 👍❤️
Boring because they did not show the Nepean coastal hwy. from Portsea to St. Kilda!
@@monaromark1021 the video was pretty chokkas with stuff, I guess there wasn’t time to include everything! I would never consider any part of their videos to be boring!
After watching Australia win 3 gold medals on day 7 of the Olympics and viewing One pack Wanderers latest vlog , It's been a good Saturday for me
What more can I ask for👍
Australia is killing it this year!
@@OnePackWanderersa response from you guys made my day even more
Thankyou
We usually do pretty well week one from the swimming. Week two..things tend to dry up a bit.
The most important parts of this video are (in order)
1) final fuel stats
2) total acceptance to pronounce Melbourne the Aussie way
I noticed #2
@@curiousnomadic He also said Geelong right too, i was very impressed
Mell --- Born, i believe.
@@2157AF No its not pronounced like that, if you arnt aussie dont speak on the topic
Nope it's the warm footwear! Isn't that right Tia and Cheveyo :-)
being from Adelaide sad you missed seeing the WIne regions and gorgeous beaches and sunsets
My Mazda is the same colour. I called my Mazda Rasberry after your Blueberry.
👍Good bye Luna. Thank you Mazda for being a great company. And yet again you too are fantastic ❤🇦🇺
@@barry.m9681
I think it's because there was an add on TV saying there is a recall by Mazda for those utes that they were driving.,🥶
I continue to love your relationship with each other..no matter where you are...it keeps bringing me back here.
Tia's smile is infectious.
Yeah, the Mazda red (Soul Red Crystal, I looked it up))colour is glorious. Reminds me of a toffee apple.
yeah it is special and I heard that painters have to go on a course on the processes involved in painting that colour so they can do acceptable touch ups and resprays.
Yeah Toffee apple red
@tileux I doubt it as it a development of Soul Red which was the previous version and there is a newer one called Artisan Red Premium.
I'm only half way through... but is it ever explained why they ditched luna?
@@Hardcastle83 Mazda swapped cars for them again..
Word of advice. Keep tuned in to weather forecasts for Tassie. Sudden icy weather can make roads very slippery, and rainy weather can be challenging if not on the main roads.
LOVE that Mazda is supporting you guys, I've owned Mazda cars for 12+ years and love them :)
Yeah, our old 2000 model 323 gave us 20+ years and from memory 700,000+ k's of reliable motoring.
They ain't supporting me with my mazda ute that's 2 years old
I'm Australian, we live on the Gold Coast, QLD. Went to Tasmania earlier this year for the first time. So beautiful. A bit run down, heaps of roadkill! But the views are so beautiful. Hobart is small but nice. It's crazy to think that Hobart is at the end of the world! Have fun. Pretty sure you two have seen more of Australia than I ever will in my whole life. Make sure you have warm clothes, it was cold in April this year - must be a lot colder now.
yeah, we are having a bloody cold winter this year, Where I live, we usually only have a few mornings of very minor frost a year (coastal town) but this year we have had a crap ton of full on frozen solid frosts.
When in Hobart, consider taking in the replica of Mawson's Hut near the docks. It will save you trying to visit the original one in Antarctica.
I think it's really sweet the way you cheers your food
“Bugger” is common in conversation as a mild expression of disappointment or frustration. I’ve never seen anyone take it offensively.
In the 70's the expression was "bugger me gently"... which has since been shortened to bugger!
When I was working in USA, I heard “little bugger” on kids cartoons. I would have thought buggery had little place on a kids show.
Like the Toyota add,, even the dog says Bugga 😅
19:23 If the boat took that route, I'd be worried the captain was drunk lol.
😂
Who's drunk? You spelled lol backwards.
@@romanfedrich6967 🤣
You have to zig zag like that now to avoid all the Salmon farms 😁
I saw the way Tia animated it and laughed. Very Tia touch, that.
Always love Chev's Aussie accent 😊😉
Welcome to Melbourne. We've experienced a very cold and wet winter this year. Farewell Lunar. I think she did an amazing job and Mazda should be pleased with the exposure that you provided for the vehicle. Tia's reflection/comment regarding the need for a suitable vehicle to access some remote areas was spot on. Without one you are very limited. Australian's love SUVs, 4WDs and utility vehicles.
In Melbourne, we are definitely spoiled for choice when it comes to quality food and coffee (also wine).
@Cheveyo: You pronounced Geelong correctly on your first attempt.
I am so disappointed that there is no Adelaide footage. My home town. I have been looking forward to it for the whole Australia V2 series 😢
So are we :( Tia’s back issues really are no joke though. Last time she tried to power through it she ended up in the hospital. Nothing to be done until the inflammation goes away, and that just means lying down basically.
7.7 L/100K is pretty good for a vehicle that has the aerodynamics of a brick.
my mum's 1972 Volvo 144 also got about the same ;)
@@MrTimcoronelAlso a brick
Thank you for a gorgeous visual tour of Melbourne!
Oh good on Mazda...I'm loving that red car colour. Great advertising, Mazda
Cheveyo is correct about skyscrapers. Melbourne at this point in time has the same number of skyscrapers (77) as Los Angeles (30), San Francisco (26) and Dallas (21) combined But it’s certainly less than cities such as Toronto (95), Chicago (138) and New York (318).
Sydney has 44.
You are going to love Tasmania so much great scenery and history ! Glad you bought shoes as there's a fair chance Tassie will be colder than Melbourne :)
Yep the next stop South is Antarctica.
So cool to see me home city through a visitors ( although with prevoius experience) ! And top marks to Mazda Aus for getting on board.
Hi from France, i'm an Australian who lives and works in France, i'm originally from Melbourne, yeah the weather is legendary in Melbourne...the only place in the world where you can have a beautiful summer's day....in the middle of winter.
And a winters day in Summer 😂
@@phillipm6822 but the best is the four seasons in one day....
Yes, but if you don't like the weather in Melbourne, just wait 5 minutes! 😂
I have just discovered this couple, and love them. Yes, it sure is cold in Melbourne at the moment. I moved here almost two years ago. I was so happy that you loved your time in my hometown of Western Australia. I've watched a lot of UA-cam creators since 2020 in lockdown in Sydney, NSW, to now and you are so refreshing. Like another of your viewers in an early comment, you are just like us Aussies. I look forward to watching all your videos. Keep up the good work.
I love that you got to see the sun here. We’ve had to many lovely days in Melbourne this week, I was worried you missed them. 🥰
It's winter! Get out and enjoy our beautiful city. Best food, best coffee, best entertainment.
I've been following you since your last trip to Australia. I really enjoy your spontaneous/casual way of documenting your life across this great continent. I guess your style makes it more palatable across all demographics. All the best on your future endeavours!
A shame you didn't show any footage from your time in Adelaide.
Was watching for your next check-in a few days ago. I'm glad to hear you put your health first and took care of yourselves. Enjoy our city...sorry its such a cold and bitter time of the year here for you both!! You literally got here at peak misery haha
👋 I am a Melburnian and have to endure the Winter foggy, overcast days with intermittent blue skies. At least the café scene can’t be beaten and the coffee is World class. Have to say that I love the cuisine adventure that we enjoy from the 300 ethnicities that live here. I always prefer to use my car seat heater. Tasmania … yay. You must check out the Wall in the Wilderness in Tassie, the most stunning art installation which, will make an impression if you get over to Strahan/Queenstown and experience the once in a lifetime magnificent Wilderness Railway journey through the rainforests on rack and pinion train, especially when you learn of the hard and often tragic feat of the axemen that forged the railway through the mountainous rainforest and gorges. The rainforests, has after a fearless fight by activists from around the World, secured World Heritage listing of the rain forest and rivers of the area saving them from hydroelectric dams. Enjoy the purist air in Australia, even though it is colder than Melbourne at this time of the year.
I'll second that trip down the west coast. I just came back from Strahan/Queenstown and it was so different to my expectations. It feels like somewhere else. Stanley is also an essential stop on the way over. It's such a cute and unique little town. But you can't really go wrong in Tassie. Everywhere is beautiful, or very close to it. Since moving here a couple of months ago I can't get over how much beauty is packed into this island.
I like how you pronounce Melbourne right.
Cannot thank you enough for the videos you’ve taken of our wonderful mainland Australia. Looking forward to your Tassie experiences. When it’s time to depart Australia for your homeland and this has to happen. We will miss you both so very much. You’ve become like extended family. Enjoy your cruise across to Tasmania. See you when your next video airs. 😊
Speaking of seat warmers, I always smile when the subject comes up. My husband asked one of his employees to take his car on an errand, and she was quite pregnant at the time. She had never experienced seat warmers before, and he had them turned up to the max. She was laughing when she came back - she thought her waters had broken! We all had a good laugh at her expense :) Love your vids btw and have followed you around Australia (twice)!!
Naming thoughts for the CUB? Suggested already by others....Raspberry and Ruby....both good. To quote
@continental_drift, "Yeah, the Mazda red (Soul Red Crystal, I looked it up) colour is glorious. Reminds me of a toffee apple." So I thought Apple might be appropriate for your travels around the Apple Isle. Have fun! Make sure you take photos if you happen to spot a Tasmanian Tiger!
Ohhh.sad face. Really was looking forward to seeing you visit more of SA. The Coorong. Then via great Ocean road to Victoria. Love watching you 2.
We did a little Ocean Road series last year in Oz. Such a stunning area 😍
The best parts of Victoria are all outside of Melbourne IMO. Wlcome to our state. Tasmania is stunning too.
Agree its great Melb but victoria you could spend months in
Melbourne is an amazing city too. If you disagree you don't know where to look. The CBD is the worst part.
Victoria is a diverse little state , with mulga up one corner , high country with a bit of snow , a bit further along , heavy Bushland , and even a bit rain forest if you know where to look , some volcanic lakes , and you already know a decent amount of coastline and beaches , I know I already mentioned Williamstown , is such a cool suburb wi to h lots of photography opportunities to , you can pick a spot along the water and get gigantic ships coming into dock , of a night time when the tide is in-between times and the water is still you can get the city lights and the reflection on the water , if you follow the water around to the other side of town if the weather is right , you can get some awesome sunsets.
I know I'm rambling ... Sorry.
Anyway look forward to your tripping around Tassie 😊.
Stay safe .
They toured Vic last time they were here
The best part of Victoria is the Hume highway that gets you out of Victoria.
I've been enjoying your travel videos. Something to remember, if you like the heat, you travel south in summer, north in winter.
Hey, that's my apartment block! I can't believe I was this close and never got a chance to say g'day!
What a joy to follow you both on your travels. I am sure you will love Tasmania for the scenery and food options. So good to see how those from outside of our country see it.
If you come back through Melbourne, I would recommend trying to get to an AFL (Australian Football League - the peak competition of Australian rules football) match at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). It is a big part of what makes Melbourne tick.
Agree. (Olympic Games held there.) The friendly games. It was the first Games held outside of Europe or the United States, the first Games held in the southern hemisphere, the first Games where live television broadcasts captured the public's imagination, and the first Games in which all the athletes walked together as one in the Closing Ceremony.
No cabins!
You two are as humble as heck!
Hi guys it's nice too see you again I have lived-in Melbourne all my life I'm 57 years old and I can say Melbourne can get cold but it also gets stinking hot as well I been through bushfire earthquakes droughts and floods anyway enjoy my home town take care guys
I think we tend to only get earth tremors in Melbourne, not earthquakes. Right now is coldest winter I have ever experienced in Melbourne.
If I was visiting Melbourne I would not just stay in the city. Sherbrooke Forest in the Dandenongs Hills to see or hear Lyrebirds is a missed opportunity.
@@shaundgb7367 go back to last year magnitude 5 in colac so we don't get them ha
@@VaughanKoch-yb9wd 5 is still an earth tremor in my experience. I actually like them when they are only tremors. I never want to experience an actual earthquake like New Zealand and parts of America get like San Fransisco.
Man, those clips of the Australian outback were awesome... and yeah Melbourne has been so cold these past months!
Glad to hear that you're better Tia, but soooo disappointed that you didn't film in Adelaide!
I am too 😞
@@OnePackWanderers Well, you'll just have to keep coming back until you've visited (and filmed) it all!
Welcome to Tassie and hello from Launceston.
It’s been a bit chilly of late but you’ll love it.
Geelong is a beautiful city by the Bay. 🌴⛵️💙 It's definitely worth at least a quick drive around the Waterfront when you return. Have fun in the Apple Isle! 🍎 🎉😊
Have you done Kangaroo Island? That is a 1 hour ferry ride from the mainland and really needs to be completed to say you have done the lap.....
If we do Kangaroo Island then someone will pop in and say we haven’t done the lap unless we go to Fraser Island, and then after that it’ll be Cape York 😅
We just need to move here 😂
Awe.. Adelaide misses out again..Luv your new car! And yes Melbourne weather is freezing! ❤
They did a video of Adelaide last time they were here

Mazda, well done, very well done. Legends.
Beautiful :) I think it’s great that you guys went to the outback before seeing Syd and Melbourne
We always get a cabin going over. It’s not that expensive. Nothing fancy but much more comfortable than a chair. You also have a shower.

I thought Ruby
That dude loves Australia, are you going to move here?? He's so happy and the lady is so sweet!
We love Tassie!
Looking forward to seeing our favourite Aussie destination through your eyes!

The quality of the video in this episode is insane. well done guys, its looking on point!
I hope Tia your back is on the mend! Keep up the great video’s.
Oh, dear, coldest winter in about 30 yrs. No wonder you needed shoes. I hope your back is okay after your trip across to Tassie, Tia. Hopefully it was a smooth crossing. It can get pretty rough at times. Loving your journey through our amazing country.
I feel so proud of my country!
Always enjoying your travels. Well done on the lap. Great to see you back in Melbourne. Enjoy tasmania and Hobart.👍
I live in Melbourne. I hope you like chilly weather. This is the coldest I can remember.
As a Melbourne girl it's hard to defend the weather but it's the geographical location that creates the weather patterns. It's part of Melbourne's charm 😊
I loved this episode. You're in my town and your camera work is lovely. Great colours. At first I thought you guys were finished and going home. Not so, looking forward to Tassie. Two great personalities that compliment each other.
Oh wow… I thought Mazda was sending you to the bus stop … but once again they exceeded my expectations! Well done to Mazda.
Your videography of the city scapes… God light, beautiful framing, wonderful lighting and shadows… outstanding!
You just drove past me!!! I work in Flinders Lane off King Street.
Safe travels to you both
Thank you for the final update of the fuel efficiency of Luna. It's what I look forward to the most 🤣
Just love these two!
I always admire that red colour when I am out driving - and I know it’s only on a Mazda. Husband loves heads up displays as well. Yes it’s been a cold July - extra layers required for sure. Safe travels.
That new Mazda shines like a nice red Ruby.
I can't wait to see your reaction to the beauty of Tasmania
Adelaide was just named one of the most beautiful cities in the world by Architectural Digest and it got skipped 😞
I know I feel sad. I am so proud of our State.
Yeah, underwhelmed after a long wait. Would've skipped Melbourne.
They are on a tight schedule..with the mazdas...
To get to Tas, where they not been before.
Really? Adelaide has some recent history architecture but its not that beautiful
Mazda could have something up their sleeves ...
AUS Tour 3 starting in Adelaide with a direct line drive to Cape York in a special built one off zoomer, which will look like a closed-in moon buggy, able to cross water and possibly fly like a drone, where required.
Not gonna lie, I'm a bit bummed out that you just completely skipped Adelaide. I know you did some stuff here last time but I was sort of waiting for you to show or at least MENTION it again in this video....like surely its a noteworthy enough place that it at least rates a shoutout after all that time in the outback... 😢
Looking forward to seeing and hearing your reaction to Tassie though
Curious what you do with the stuff you buy that you don't take on the next leg of your amazing journey ? So good of Mazda to provide another car for you , I really thought they'd have to pry the keys for Luna from Cheveyo's hands , then they go and lend another car , they're awesome to you because you're awesome , love you guys 😊
Either donate it or try to resell some of it (like the air compressor) online.
I miss Luna but also the new car is very fun 😁
Providing cars was a very smart move by Mazda. Cheaper than advertising comercially, but more effective in terms of connecting with the viewer
Well I thought your comment on outback food was spot on. I lived i the bush for so many years and if you wanted food choices, you cooked it yourself.
Really impressed with the level of camera work from you guys! Been following for a while now and the choice of shots and quality of editing is really professional especially the drone work. Enjoy Tassie!
Appreciate that, thank you 😊
Glad to hear your back is better!
I use the seat heater only on cold days instead of using the car heater. Car heaters tend to make me sleepy while seat heaters don’t.
same. but on a low setting on long drives is apparently good for your back. i also have heated steering wheel which is good when i finish work late at night
I live in Darwin, what is a seat heater?
@@brucewatts4439 yeah, I get that you would have no use for them lol!
You're here at the wrong time come back in the start of summer its too cold here. 😢 but beautiful in spring time, and summer can be a bit hot. 😅
Apart from the weather, Melbourne's a great city - always ranking high among the world's most liveable cities. I hope you enjoy your stay there. 🙂 Great food, great coffee, And mmmmm - banh mi! Looking forward to your Tassie adventures.
Good job on "G'long" (Geelong)... Yes, Melbourne can rain one day and be perfect the next 😊 looking forward to Tassie vids.
Wonders! So glad you had a little sunshine in Melbn. It feels like the coldest it's been in years. Looking forward to seeing Tassie. I hope you enjoy it. New Mazda looks nice - the Red Devil. If you get time back on the big island check out the south east coast, Wilsons Prom and beyond, mountains, caves, forests, beaches, etc. Thanks for the escape! 💚💛💚💛💚
Nice see both of you back in Melbourne. Hope to see some more videos.
Have a fab time in Tassie. Weather is warming up this week.
Great video! Thank you Mazda Australia, you generous buggers!
Bye Luna what a champion .. as a Tassy girl check out mt field camping area to watch the pademelons hopping about, cradle mountain for wombats and Lake saint clair for night time visits from quolls..the hazards and wine glass bay on the east coast are beautiful and the west coast wilderness is a must see.. have a great time and keep warm and dry 😊
No more Luna 😢 I just assumed she'd be making the trip to Tassie. But how good are Mazda with the new wheels? Absolutely nailed the Geelong pronounciation 🎉 that one has the potential to grind a few gears if butchered! .. so much to unpack from the one packs!! Another top vid.
Pretty disappointed that you didn’t spend time in Adelaide 😔
The people of Geelong would be proud of you......and no, it's not bad to say 'bugger' in Australia. As for the seat heater, I put mine on either middle setting or full but never the lowest setting, hard to know it's even on then......but I only use it in winter or just when it's actually cold.
So exciting that you'll finally be in beautiful Tassie.....I can't wait! You're going to love it. Please do the Strathgordon drive to Lake Peddar and Gordon Dam, one of the prettiest drives on the planet.
Brilliant - I am delighted for you. You are going to Tasmania = that is a glorious destination to visit = enjoy !!!
Never do the chairs on the Sprint of Tasmania, always pay the extra for a cabin. The footage of that room with all the chairs was very triggering for me, flash backs to a very nasty evening in October 2013.🤣
Most uncomfortable night I can remember. Most ended up sleeping on the floor. Maybe they have improved the seating- they’d want to.
Melbourne is the coffee connoisseur city of Australia and reason SB almost pulled out - significantly down sized.
I don't go for seat warmers or leather/vinyl seats in any of my cars, I think they feel uncomfortable, especially on long drives. A good fabric is much more comfortable, but that's my personal opinion. It's great that Mazda hooked you up again, they probably wanted Luna back anyway for it's 10,000km service.
You nailed the pronunciation of Geelong !!!
