As an old Aussie bloke and long time viewer, I can say you are two of the most optimistic and likeable young people I have ever seen on UA-cam and those qualities (not fancy degrees) are highly valued in these parts. Together, you have done an amazing job promoting our country, and Tourism Australia should be busting a gut to facilitate any of your projects and desires to emigrate. Your interactions with locals and each other are endearing and Tia's enthusiasm for "Big Things" has a life of its own. Maybe Mazda could come to the party again by hosting a subscriber meet and greet for 100 or so when you finish your trip. They could organise a ballot and select 100 lucky people to attend and film it for the rest of us to watch. A good way to have all your subscribers involved especially those who aren't at the event. Call it a thank you party!
We gave our daughter a native American name. My wife was obsessed with all things Native American. 2 yrs ago she did a DNA test and found out she Indigenous roots from South America around Colombia. We were all shocked at how it all came about.
I am facing homelessness because of the housing crisis here in western australia and looking at how you guys live; I'm inspired to try to think of it in a more positive way. I might buy a van to live out of. Honestly I'm a little terrified of being homeless though. I wonder how you manage to not struggle with life on the road, not having a fixed home. Its something I've never done, but you make it look so easy!, its inspiring. It must take a lot of mental discipline to live on the road
Thank you for the very real Q & A session. My wife 71 and myself 68 just appreciate your realness, when your videos pop up we are there for the fun and the joy we see, never doubt yourselves, your doing life well, we enjoy travelling with you as we don't seem to be able to do it ourselves, safe travels, love and light from Perth, WA, Trev n Rose
I'm glad to hear your Canberra video did so well. That's how I discovered you, my brother told me to check it out. Pity you were here in winter. It's beautiful in spring and autumn, but summer can be blisteringly hot.
Your Canberra video was how I found your channel (I think UA-cam recommended it to me because I live in Canberra). My theory for why so many Australians don't like Canberra is that lots of schools around the country do a "visit Canberra" trip. They always seem to come in the winter when the weather is awful, and the kids get dragged around Parliament House and the War Memorial. All they learn is that Canberra is cold and boring. I think that Canberra's secret is that it's a much nicer city to live in than it is to visit as a tourist.
I loved living in Canberra … made some great friends, great restaurants and lots of things to do. The coast isn’t even that far away. I think you are spot on about the cold, boring attractions during school excursions.
I’ve never understood Aussies hate for the cold, I’ve been to Canberra and surrounding regions like the Monaro and I was in love! I would love nothing more than to wake up to my house snowed in Nimmitabel or Cooma but I feel like I’m the only Aussie who feels this way! Why are those cold beautiful places so under populated? Maybe the more Aus grows those towns will fill out, if I could find work there I would live there but that’s the problem, nothings there 😂
@@ashdog236 I went to school in Cooma, plus worked in Canberra then back in Cooma for a few years working. I absolutely love it there and Cooma will always be my home town but it is bitterly cold in the winter. My Mum (European) loved the cold. After spending many years in the outback and in FNQ / NT, I prefer a mild climate. 😂
In regards to your doubts about how your channel is viewed, when I first started watching I got the feeling that your channel was a way for you to look back on your travels in later years for your own memories. If that is the case, then always keep that in the back of your minds and do it for you and not other people. Having said that, I am sure that I am not the only subscriber who always looks forward to your next episode. Just keep doing what you are doing, it's great.
Exactly what I was thinking. I’m Aussie and have learned things about my own country I didn’t know. I also think from so many other countries their info is excellent and fun, and the quality and their honesty is excellent. I tried to watch other travellers, but I gave up. I only watch these guys now. They would be a welcome asset to any tourist company as they aren’t scripted but very natural, funny and a lovely couple who tell the truth without being offensive at all.
The Big Things are very "tongue in cheek" and are meant for a bit of a laugh. We love to hate them & hate to love them. We need a 'Big Chevayo' statue in some town looking down at the tourists in disappointment.
I love that you absolutely “get” each other and are so genuinely excited to see what the new day brings without trying to present contrived scenarios that you think will get clicks, that “…Wanderers” is apropos. You are not tourists to us, just a normal couple exploring the wide wonderful World that many of us will only see a small part of.
You guys are doing a great job, I’m surprised you have doubt about that! Your sincerity and authenticity comes through, and I love the style of travelling you do fully immersing yourself in the culture and exploring instead of focusing on just tourist spots. Your videos are very peaceful, I enjoy watching them before I go to bed to relax. Your Australia vids are my favourite, but I’m biased as an Australian. Anyway, keep going, you’re doing great!
I'm with you guys, why would you want to plan your life out to the last detail. Life has to have some spontaneity. And don't cater your travels to what others want to see you do, if they are interested in you, they will want to see what you want to do. You guys have a great channel keep doing you, and don't live your life for others.

Ps Cheveyo: please, get a haircut, man 😂 Ps Tia: you look lovely as always, continue! 😊 PPS: Cheveyo: scrap that, you rock whatever style you want! You just look different from the earlier videos I'm catching up on 😅
The cheesier, more horribly constructed, the Big Thing : The better! Though as Cheveyo said, it’s probably 50/50 what makes them so great: their dodgy construction vs. Tia’s excitement.
Hey guys, we would love to join a "meet and greet" when you swing through Melbourne on your way to Tassie. My partner and I make an effort to watch your episodes together. One day we hope to use your recommendations to plan a trip around OZ. Keep up the great work, the quality of you videos keep getting better!
Your channel is so lovely and inspiring, but I can totally understand how challenging it can be to trust that the work you choose is the right path. I think most people have those kinds of existential doubts sometimes! It takes such bravery to follow your heart and intuition and I can't fathom how this pressure could become magnified in the public eye. Someone else made a comment about how high quality your channel is and I completely agree - both of your technical and on camera skills are excellent and the two of you are so down to earth and sweet - it's endearing. Really a pleasure to watch your content!
It surprises me that so many people told you to avoid Canberra. I personally loved the place once I was used to getting around. For the first time, short term traveler I can completely understand the antipathy as it is a city that was planned from the first foundation and it has the best road system of any city in Australia with sub-cities connected via that system. Each area has it's own business hub and shopping precinct with the main one ( Civic) having the most shopping options.Being a city geared for a floating population, it has the best second hand goods sellers in the country as every 3 years or so embassy staff and business staff get re-posted to other countries. They don't take their whole household with them , just their immediate personal possessions that they can take via air transport. Second hand books was something I totally pigged out on in the three years I lived and worked there. The cultural side of things is excellent with some of the nations best and most interesting Museums. My advice would have been to get a second hand copy of the city street directory as it would be one of the most useful books you could have there. Then off load it at an op shop when you leave.
You are such a lovely couple, it is easy to see why Australian viewers like you so much. I think along with Philly and Keely, your visits to Australia have been heartwarming and a pleasure to watch. On the eating front in most small towns there might be a bowling or golf club. These often have a little restaurant attached, sometimes “Australian” sometimes Chinese or Thai. Worth a looksee if you want to change your diet of burgers and chips!
This vid makes me like you guys even more I reckon. Cheveyo love your laid back thoughtful comments. Me being a car nut would equate you to a 327ci Chev (levity) engine. Unassuming, quiet but lots of low down power. Tia for scale my wife has to do that now when we travel. Watching you evolve over time has been a joy. Cute lovable girl to attractive confident women. You may doubt I don't. Anyhow bless you both and thanks for sharing you life with me. Stay safe in our beautiful country. Peter ❤
i love that you guys are back in australia. you've shown me lots of places that i've never seen in my own country and hope to some day get out there and see them too. i'd love to hear your list of must-see places by the time you've done this trip. and i'm thinking maybe mazda could sponsor your visas to stay :D
This series has made me want to visit WA because I'm on the east coast and seeing the sun set over the ocean in person is something I didn't know I wanted until your videos here came along.
By all means go to WA, but just FYI in the interim you can see that staying at tangaloooma resort on Moreton Island and yes it looks incredible on a balcony with a cocktail.
@@TheMightyBurger A bit like the forgettable east coast of WA... but I mentioned Tangalooma because it is so conveniently located to the "civilised" south east, lol.
other youtubers have had the same viewer comments about Canberra, and reaction to the real place. i think if your expectations are set so low it's not hard to feel they're exceeded. it might even be Americans find Canberra easier to grasp because it is the only Australian city that was fully laid out in the suburbs-and-freeways era of the 60s and 70s
Nice Q&A guys, some interesting questions there. Just think if Tia didn't call the daily shots, you wouldn't have met those wonderful kids in Marble bar! I've been there and to many other remote communities when I was in the Defence Force and those indigenous kids are among the friendliest kids you will ever meet, we used to give them our combat ration packs, let them climb over our vehicles, we'd have our weapons locked away in a trunk before we entered the town, which of course they'd always ask to see lol. Edit - we only carried weapons for croc protection if we were tasked to set up near water or on a large Military Exercise, just wanted to make that clear and looking after your weapon each day is part of training. No live ammo unless on a croc watch shift.
Absolutely. Had the pleasure of visiting some of the islands up north when I was with the Navy on Patrol Boats. The indigenous kids showed us an amazing swimming hole and were excited to explain some hunting techniques with us. Some great memories
I personally appreciate both of you taking time to create an entire video dedicated to answering questions from your viewers. I think it is uncommon for travel based content creators to provide a more intimate insight into their lives i.e. what goes on when the camera isn't recording. If you were to move to Australia you would be very welcome here. I think we Australians may have already dubbed you as adopted Aussies. Your relaxed demeanour, easy going approach to travel and friendly personalities are a perfect fit for us. Learning to sailing a yacht is also an item on my bucket list. I hope that you are able to realise that goal. I have travelled to a lot of countries in Africa and several countries in South America I concur that securing safe and reliable transport and accommodation in these remote locations is quite a challenge. I had to rely upon the experience and wisdom of travel guides that were once local to those areas, but are now based in Australia. If you were to organise a viewer meet up in Melbourne I would definitely do my best to attend it. I'm sure there's a decent cafe or pub that would suit such an occasion.
Thanks for the update guys .. never think you aren't doing a great job 😮 you have such a natural presence that I know Kiwis and Aussies love anyway! We found you a couple of years ago and as people who have travelled a lot ourselves and have an affinity with Vietnam, we've loved your videos. It's chill time for us .. we'll say 'our friends have posted' haha Take care and don't stop! ❤ Wayne and Raewyn

The continent of Australia doesn't just contain the country of the same name, it also contains the island of New Guinea (Papua New Guinea and Western New Guinea), the Aru Islands, the Ashmore and Cartier Islands, most of the Coral Sea Islands, and some other nearby islands. Situated in the geographical region of Oceania, Australia is the smallest of the seven traditional continents.
Australia is the name of the continent, which is also a single country of the same name. The wider geographic region that you have described is named Australasia. Oceania is the name of the even wider geographic area that also includes Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia.
I'm the same age as you guys and work remotely across South America. I spend my time primarily between Brasil and Argentina, and also have done Peru and Colombia. All that to say I'm down to help workshop any ideas for a South America trip - truly my favorite place on earth and unmissable.
You're wise in NOT making plans too far inadvance. Otherwise you get too stuck in the itinerary that was planned before even arriving in the country. Like you, I plan only a day or two in advance so that if I like a place I can stay longer, if I hear about a neat little side trip that isn't well known I can take it without worrying that I've already paid for accommodation at my next destination. I'm also with you on South America, early stage planning with a mate for a South Chile and Argentina road-trip is over 3 times the $ of the same amount of time in S.E. Asia. I'm waiting for another of your amazing sunsets.

@@madhonkas You won't be left in the dark by your followers... once you inform them of an intended meet-up, you'll be given a heap of feed back from everyone intending to show up. No need to supply cake, by the way. It should just be BYO.
Not just in Australia, but a meetup in North America would be well attended as well!
I've been watching since you guys drove across the Nullarbor, and I've never gotten the impression that Tia calls all the shots. As for emigrating, I reckon Mazda should sponsor your visas. Cheveyo could fix their cars and Tia can be chief barista 😅 Yes, the Big Things are awful - but that's the whole point 😆 As for meet-ups, I think lots of ppl would love to say hi in person. Might make you feel more at home here.
My favourite thing about your videos is the love and support you show each other
❤
Yes 👍 its so lovely
Just found your videos so have gone back to watch the start your Aussie adventures . We live near the great ocean road and your photography of the red woods and the great ocean road is truly the best we have seen . Your infectious smiles are so genuine you guys need to move here. ❤❤
Pretty sure we would all sponsor them. 😁
Thinking of you in your situation- you WILL find a way 💞
A meetup doesn’t have to be anything overly complicated, just choose a location and time
Thank you for the very real Q & A session.
Lesson: Experience is more valuable than stuff!
The potato poo does it for me, Tia's reaction to it is Gold!
I'm glad to hear your Canberra video did so well. That's how I discovered you, my brother told me to check it out. Pity you were here in winter. It's beautiful in spring and autumn, but summer can be blisteringly hot.
That was a really enjoyable and relaxing video. Like sitting around a camp fire and having a casual chat.
We did a high school trip to Canberra ,circa 1982 ,I really enjoyed it .
@@ashdog236 Many people commute between Cooma and Canberra … I did for some time.
The Canberra video is how I found you! The 'algorithm' brought it to my feed, and I've been hooked ever since :)
ditto
Ditto
Me too! I'm so glad the algorithm decided to show it to me
Still recommending you visit the Bungle Bungles
"Western Australia is your favourite state"
This old West Aussie's heart swells...
...even though I live in Melbourne now 😂
You could work fir tourism Australia and you too are amazing !
You two are don' fine. Just nice watching a happy couple travel about.

Doubt & fear … power through it … it makes us stronger.
I wouldn’t worry though … you’re kicking ass and mowing grass. 😎
I was so excited seeing you both and Lunar today in Broome. It made my day ❤ Al and I are celebrating our 31st anniversary in Broome.
So glad to hear they are in Broome, I am hoping they get to see the staircase to the moon......
@@diannecain1 our campsite is on the waterfront view of Staircase to the Moon. We have been sitting in our chairs watching it. Went to Cable Beach tonight for the sunset. Was blown away at everyone on the beach by the hundreds of 4x4s. Never will forget.
Was lovely meeting you yesterday, sorry it was so brief!
You guys are the most underrated/overlooked travel channel that I know of! I very much hope this changes. You guys deserve it! ❤
Interesting q and a, please.keep up the good work!
Ps Cheveyo: please, get a haircut, man 😂
Ps Tia: you look lovely as always, continue! 😊
PPS: Cheveyo: scrap that, you rock whatever style you want! You just look different from the earlier videos I'm catching up on 😅
The cheesier, more horribly constructed, the Big Thing : The better! Though as Cheveyo said, it’s probably 50/50 what makes them so great: their dodgy construction vs. Tia’s excitement.
😂😂😂
Hey guys, we would love to join a "meet and greet" when you swing through Melbourne on your way to Tassie. My partner and I make an effort to watch your episodes together. One day we hope to use your recommendations to plan a trip around OZ. Keep up the great work, the quality of you videos keep getting better!
What a delightful insight into your world. I truly enjoy coming along with you on your adventures and experiences. Thank you!
As an Aussie ,I'm glad you get us.
You definitely show Australia in a good light.
I reckon by time you get to Tassie, Cheveyo will be 'True Blue'.
You guys put a smile on my dial. 🙂
Yeah... it was no surprise that WA is your favourite state 😂
We're enjoying having you back in Oz 🇦🇺. Stay safe.
When you're in SA, definitely have to see the big rocking horse in Gumeracha!
Canberra is beautiful place so easy to get around.
Oh yeah, the RSL & sports clubs can have some great food that won't break the bank for a little bit of difference. AND the meat raffles are a must!
I love Philly and Keely too, so damn funny plus their accents are adorable
Q&A appreciation + algorithm comment ❤
Are you guys coming back to Queensland? The best state in Australia 😜
Yes, get a boat! I also follow 'Gone With the Wynns', who've done just that.
Love their videos ,
Nicely done guys... I do wonder if anyone has ever recognized you during your travels... Never see it happen yet
Just so you know, there are some stunning beaches in Tasmania - all along the east coast, in the northwest and down far south.
Wineglass Bay is spectacular, just one of dozens of beaches.
Purely to look at only. Its too bloody cold to swim there.
@@lindsaysmith8119 3000 people just took to the water for the solstice swim!
You might be missing the point on the Big Things.....they are totally meant to be cheesy!! Bonkers Australian humour...
Still loving your videos & great to see you're enjoying the West
You are such a nice and loving couple I think anything you do would be worth watching. Your randomness is what brings me in to watch most.
I love how cringey and 'shit' the big things are! Also love your videos and how genuine and authentic you both are.
👍 fantastic Q&A guys❤️🇦🇺
Beautiful video! Fiji is incredibly gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Peter ❤
You are both doing a brilliant job so stop stressing. Hope you can call Australia home one day. Both of you will fit right in.
i love that you guys are back in australia. you've shown me lots of places that i've never seen in my own country and hope to some day get out there and see them too. i'd love to hear your list of must-see places by the time you've done this trip. and i'm thinking maybe mazda could sponsor your visas to stay :D
This series has made me want to visit WA because I'm on the east coast and seeing the sun set over the ocean in person is something I didn't know I wanted until your videos here came along.
Just come to west coast of Yorke Peninsula in SA, sunsets over the sea and much closer😊😊
By all means go to WA, but just FYI in the interim you can see that staying at tangaloooma resort on Moreton Island and yes it looks incredible on a balcony with a cocktail.
You can also do that in North-West Queensland, Weipa, Karumba, the Torres Strait Islands. Lots of people forget that QLD has a West coast
@@TheMightyBurger A bit like the forgettable east coast of WA... but I mentioned Tangalooma because it is so conveniently located to the "civilised" south east, lol.
Have no doubt have no fear we love having you here #australia ❤❤❤
other youtubers have had the same viewer comments about Canberra, and reaction to the real place. i think if your expectations are set so low it's not hard to feel they're exceeded. it might even be Americans find Canberra easier to grasp because it is the only Australian city that was fully laid out in the suburbs-and-freeways era of the 60s and 70s
Australian here. Once you go to Tasmania you've officially been to 37 countries.
i have a feeling tasmania might surprise you with how much you enjoy it when you finally make it down here
I may be biased but, I think you do a magnificent job. I would love to see you cruise the Med in your own Catamaran one day. ❤❤❤❤
@@Fish29077 Awesome, I spent a few months on Bathurst I think it was, the Fremantle type, I was posted to Norforce. Best posting of my career.
Thanks guys, for putting Australia on the map.
Especially Western Australia.
The Australian government should employ you as travel ambassadors.
You should come to Kalgoorlie, East of Perth in Western Australia and see the Super Pit :) Also would love to take you guys out for a coffee!!!
Need to change the name to the big pit so they come.
Thanks, you two 😊❤️
Don't ever doubt people turning up to a meet up with you and your followers. I am nearly 75 and I would be there with bells on. Along with everyone else. Has to be Melbourne though.😂
Woo Hoo you’re back!!! Watched you avidly last time and was disappointed you left and have missed you ever since.
Looking forward to your videos.
Only channel whose entire backlog I’ve watched and never miss an episode. Watching you guys get started in the early post covid days was great to watch and follow along at a time where it wasn’t so easy for us to travel.
Yea I feel the point stands, though.
Australia is the name of the continent, which is also a single country of the same name. The wider geographic region that you have described is named Australasia. Oceania is the name of the even wider geographic area that also includes Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia.
78.8K subscribers! You two are doing a great job, I have completely loved watching your adventures, Thankyou.
You are now in my home town. Welcome to Broome. I had been hoping to run into but no luck😢 I hope you have a great Kimberley experience!!❤❤
Awww! I just love you guys! Don't change. I love traveling the world with you. Your authenticity and humility is heartwarming. Keep it up. You'll make it big before you know it. Mazda!!!! Whaaaaaahhhhhht!?🎉🤯🥳
I'm on the wrong side of 60 yrs. and have been traveling around Australia whenever possiblw since I was 15 yrs old. and still have not made it to WA yet . I have set 3 months aside next year to drive over there. So yes don't worry about missing parts of this great land..just enjoy the parts you do get to see.
I agree with you about Road House food I am a fan of regular Green Veg on my travels .
