I remember having back then the very comic books the artwork was based on.
The Peggy/Sharon Carter conundrum was wild.
🎵 "Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Batroc!" 🎵
I'm not sure why the cabal of villains didn't just cut Batroc a check instead of go on about whatever they wanted to babble about. He's not an employee, he was just hired for a job which he did (or thought he did) and isn't on any kind of need to know basis.
I've always kind of wondered about how Rogers dealt with his army status after he was revived. He had to have had some contact, because his personal effects were returned to him. However, in the 1980s he wrote to them about his status, and they kicked back a million dollar check, which I assume was back pay. He was technically missing in actions, presumed killed in action. He used it to set up a crime hotline (which was used as a plot device to pull him into adventures).
Today he'd be better treated for PTSD and survivor's guilt. I know somebody who had a traumatic brain injury and has no memories of about three weeks of his life. He's still upset about that (despite how he's been told what happened, none of which was pleasant). Losing decades is much worse, but he's still probably in the WWII GI mode where talking to a therapist isn't done.
Cap is missing a glove.
Let's face it, if what you said was true, Peggy would've wound up with Col. Hogan, not Sgt. Carter. Sharon might have wound up with Sgt. Carter of the USMC as long as Private Pyle didn't louse it up.
You and your cat are the best.
Originally Peggy Carter was Sharon’s older sister.
Agent 13 was Sharon Carter, daughter of Peggy Carter.
😎
OMG! I had comic where Batroc fought Cap! Thanks!
...Don't know why i can't stop thinking of Pepe LePew.lol.
LOL! Loved it! Did you ever see the "Green Acres" episode where Oliver is flying his plane during the war and is told if he's shot down to "ask for a chap named Hogan."
I did! And by the way, we're looking at Hogan's Heroes on Patreon if yo'u'd like to join. It's a lot of fun!
@@dwashbur Already joined (as "Jeff Baker." The "Mike Mayak" is a pen name I write under sometimes. Confusing, I know!)
Ah, okay. I have an overwhelming urge to yell "You fooled me" a la John Lovitz as Master Thespian.
@@dwashbur Yeah, that's one of the problems with a few pen-names. (Checking several e-mails a night is the other!)
Batroc Zee Leepair!
Cap has alot of cross time lovers, someone should call 1992 Gary Oldman 🤣
Sam Jackson was cast as Nick Fury because in the Ultimate Comics line, Nick Fury (may be the original Furys son i forget) was literally based of Sam Jackson in real life, so when it came to casting the films, they went with the obvious choice😅 pretty neat modern comic history
By the time that happened, the original Fury would probably have been on Social Security anyway. He was a sergeant in World War II, spent the 50's in the CIA, then was recruited to SHIELD, where he was forever getting shot at, blown up, taking long falls, you name it. If SHIELD hadn't put him out to pasture, I have a feeling his body would have!
@@dwashbur So does this mean you prefer David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury (and any chance of us seeing you review "Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.")?
I didn't know he did Nick Fury. If you toss a few more details my way I'll see what I can do. I like DH, but no, Samuel L. Jackson IS Nick Fury now, and I enjoy his portrayal. Perhaps after the original retired, "Nick Fury" became a title rather than a name. Maybe he was retconned to reflect the times. Maybe somebody in charge saw Mr. Jackson and said "He'd be a great Nick Fury'". It doesn't matter to me. I enjoyed the comic Nick and I enjoy the cinematic Nick. Following my own ongoing advice, I just go with it.
I really wish you wouldn’t do the commentary in the middle of the episodes. It’s really annoying and I don’t like your commentary so please do that at the beginning in the end and let the episode run on its own.
That would make most my comments confusing.
@@dwashbur look, I click onto the site to watch Captain America or the other superheroes not to hear your commentary. If you don’t wanna do it don’t it’s your sight but I’m telling you I’m not gonna click on it anymore. If you constantly interrupt the cartoon, I think it does it service you can adjust your commentary to the beginning of the end you can introduce it. I would respect you more for it but what you’re doing is not good and I don’t respect what you do. You’re kind of ruining it for all of us.
11,000 people disagree with you, but I respect your opinion, and if you choose to move on, I wish you well.
@@dwashbur I just got a bunch of likes about the thing I sent you so I don’t think it’s 11,000 people that agree with you. I bet you if we took a poll more people would agree with me then with you.
A bunch? I see two. I have 11,000 subscribers. Goodbye.
