Wow. I immediately said “thank you Jesus” when you started your video saying “this video is going to be about marriage”. Thank you so much for being so vulnerable about this subject. Lord knows how much I needed to hear this! This was beautifully said. Thank you thank you thank you ❤
Heather, your honesty and vulnerability is so humbling. You are such a beautiful wife and mother💐. May the good St. Joseph protect your marriage. For everyone else, GO TO ST. JOSEPH, he is awesome! 🙏
I think it’s difficult in marriages where one spouse, husband or wife, is trying to be true to their faith when the other is not and may be pulling them in the wrong direction. It really puts a strain on the person. I think St Rita also had a difficult marriage but he converted in the end I believe. Thank you for this video.
I am not currently married, but this is still good to hear! I am trying to get back into my Catholic faith (baptised Catholic here, I wasn't practicing for a long time, I am ashamed a little, but glad to be back).
Wow! I am new to your channel and also new to going to Catholic Church I've only been Baptize as a Catholic but I wasn't introduced to the religion. Crazy how I was looking for videos about this and praying to God on this subject and here you go posting this video! Thank you very much
I am practicing Catholic. My wife got married 2006 . Catholic Church. I left the Catholic Church .even though my wife did not like it when I left the Catholic Church, we stayed married .I we t to another church .before, I did not know the Catholic Church believed even though I had the classes .I am returning Catholic. I did all my confessions .I have been going to mass every Sunday, and holy days, I go to mass .I been taken holy Communion. Even though I did all my confessions, my wife would not come to mass. It was my fault. Regardless, I let my wife do what she wants she stays home, and I go to mass .I think in time she would come together to mass .every sunday is she my wife is sleeping in stayed home .I go to mass by myself .
I needed to hear this. I've been married 50 years, three adult children who came late, two adopted, one homegrown and one georgous grandson. We've had a rough time in the recent past and yes I have felt like leaving but you have given me some tips thank you and God bless .
Heather the Holy Spirit definitely spoke thru you. It is so refreshing to listen to a young woman so dedicated to serving in this ministry while tending to your family As an elder couple (God willing 59 yrs this yr in July) it gives us hope for our 4 children who ate away from the church. God continue to bless you (and your family) as you reach out and help others 🙏🕊 Judy/Bob 🌞
It is amazing to me how every time I’m going through a situation I pray to God about it and then I look up a video on UA-cam and he always takes me to wonderful people like yourself who literally say everything I needed to hear at the moment❤ thank you and God bless you and your marriage
Marriage is a vocation just like priesthood is a vocation. Feelings are a choice. We have to make a choice to be happy. I have been with my husband 32 years and I am more in love with him today than I was 10 year's ago. Yes we get annoyed and frustrated but go pray on it ask for guidance and then sit down and communicate with your spouse. St Rita is my favorite saint. She had issues in her marriage but she got through it and that gives me hope.
Talk to a priest and a Christian therapist to get help. I was told by my former priest in confession to talk to someone including a therapist for my ongoing mental health and addiction. It’s never to late to turn your life around every day, to pray for forgiveness, find happiness in life and having self-care. Thanks, Heather. I enjoy your videos all the time. God bless. ❤
I'm Catholic and my husband is Anglican but we have always felt our holy commitment to marriage, despite our slightly different faith systems. Next week will be our 36th wedding anniversary. We've had lots of ups and downs but it feels so wonderful to be in a relationship with someone committed to the stability and sanctity of marriage and our two adult children often remark on it.
Marriage is hard work and constant forgiveness. This is our way to holiness. Monthly confessions helps very much. Thanks God we celebrated 45th wedding anniversary of our marriage last year.
Sometimes I forget that my job as my husband’s wife is to help him (and myself) get to heaven. Thank you for the reminder. My goodness at 11:58 I got soo emotional. God bless you for this message
My high school sweetheart and I have been married for 34 yrs. If you're going to marry someone, you better be serious about it (divorce should never be your backup). There have been a few times when I have thought he was selfish, and I thought about leaving after some big arguments. After I calmed down each time, I realized how much I really wanted him to come home safe after work and how he really was a good man, and therefore, realized how much I really loved him. No one knows us like we do. Marriage is not easy, but it is worth the work (& it's really not that much work after some years). You start to see the little things he does to show how much he cares about you, like washing your car or starting it for you when it's very cold. Men have their ways to show love, and so do women. They aren't necessarily the same. We have friends who gave up on their marriages and have regretted it. Grass is usually not greener on the other side.
Beautiful video Heather. Thank you for this. I definitely feel like I am being attacked spiritually with thoughts against my marriage. I literally had that moment today when I had to snap out of my thinking and be like “NO”. I can’t speak for every woman but it seems like women in general are prone to feeling like a victim in many situations within marriage. It’s tough. It’s easy to feel isolated and alone, especially as a stay at home mother. One thing that helps me is to remember that I am not alone. We are all in this together, helping to raise and form young minds and hearts. God bless everyone here. Keep God close and He will guide you.
Love this! So helpful. Admit we all divorce our husbands in our minds sometimes 😂😂😂 🤦♀️ Another reason why I love Catholicism, it’s taught me what marriage really is supposed to be. We choose love over more brokenness. ❤
I needed this . Yesterday my husband and I went to confession for the first time after three years I cried and promised myself to honor him, respect him and appreciate him . Hoping we put god first within our marriage 🙏🏼
Thank you for reminding me why I love the Catholic faith and how to build a beautiful marriage. I feel blessed to find and hear this beautiful presentation. Please pray for us as your followers.
This is by far the best message I’ve heard on marriage and our part as a wife!! Thank you. The minister who married us told us that “two imperfect people don’t make a perfect marriage”. He also said that the husband is to meet his wife’s needs and the wife to meet her husband’s needs and then both partners needs are met. (That is selfless love and humility in action). Feelings are fleeting. My friends sister filed for divorce to the surprise of her family. Her sister asked her why. She said, “he just gets on my nerves”. She responded, “if that was a reason, everyone would be divorced!” Thank you for speaking truth and in such a respectful way. God bless you!
This has been on my heart lately as well as I am seeing marriages around me ending because people have bought into the lies of Satan in our culture. As a working outside the home wife and mom I am really trying to pray for understanding when it comes to being obedient to my husband. Thank you for the bravery to put out this video in a time where we here that it is OK to be selfish and do what feels good in the moment.
Thank you so much for this video. I’m watching this as a Catholic girlfriend and what I have to say is that the Bible says that He who finds a wife finds a good thing. Sometimes when praying for my future husband I think I’m doing too much but that’s the enemy! We need to pray for our future husbands.
You speak the truth. Thank you so much Heather. I wish someone had told me this. No one ever did try to help us, my husband and I. No one from our family or friends. I cannot understand why no one tried to helped us, not even in a little way, so that we would stay together. My husband and I went to therapy but no one catholic. Our children, and we ourselves, have suffered immensely because of our divorce. It is still painful. Ever since then (25 years ago) I have always tried to speak to others to stay together. This was even before I became catholic. I converted 4,5 years ago. God permitted all of this. I pray I do His will always and my ex husband and I can get Gods help to repair from the deep suffering we all have gone through. The suffering has been like I could imagine Hell is for real. To all of you who are married and to those of you who have marriage to look forward to, find yourselves very blessed to encounter Heathers words and be encouraged by them and never allow the Evil one to get in between you and your husband and family. God bless you and your husband Heather and your children. ❤🙏
My husband and I have been married almost 30 years, and he hadn't gone to Mass for years when we first met and for the first few years of our marriage. He now attends Mass every week, prays the Rosary every day, and went to confession recently for the first time in 35 years. I never, ever nagged him but, instead, prayed for him. Thank you for your beautiful videos ❤.
Thank you, this is a very beautiful video. My husband and I have been married for 28 years. The date night is a must if you can go do it at least once a month. We go to the grocery store and buy our favorite sandwiches, drink, and side dish. Then we go to the beach and sit in our car and eat after a walk on the beach. It is the best time ever!!! I love your beautiful video on marriage. It is so difficult nowadays. I have been there many times I want to leave but I stay. I look back now on the times I wanted to leave and it was a difficult phase in our lives and the devil is trying to hard. God and love always wins!
Before I came back to the Catholic Church, about a decade ago God was pulling on my heart. My husband and I weren’t in the best place. Our marriage was “okay” but not ideal. I didn’t like how we treated each other with such disregard. Something turned within my heart and I remember thinking that I needed to treat him better. Needed to talk to him nicer and not talk down to him. Encourage him and let him know daily how much I love him. It turned our marriage around. It wasn’t an instant thing, but I noticed that as I kept working at it, he was also changing toward me. He started to tell me he loved me more, began encouraging me and being a rock when I needed him. It’s amazing what happens when you listen to that still small voice and make changes in your life. We are in such a great place now.
Thank you Heather for your honesty. You are exactly right, it is spiritual warfare! After 40 yrs of knowing each other and 33 yrs of marriage full of ups and down, there’s always something pulling at us of our attention. Keeping the focus on God by prayer, going to Mass and confession, & being an example gives me the strength. My husband doesn’t always do what I would like for him to do as a Catholic, but we both have our own journey in faith. With love, respect, and faithfulness to each other, we are reminded that “With God, nothing is impossible.”❤️
Refreshing to finally see a Catholic woman talking about marriage in the way God intended. Thank you for this! You might get some hate but you are 100% right.
Heather, I am a Catholic Christian and a marriage and family therapist and your video can not be improved upon. Wow! It was exactly what we as couples need to hear! You and your channel are STELLAR in knowledge, compassion and reflecting Our Lord. Thank you, Deirdre
Thank you for your inspiration, I found your channel when my husband leave the house, thanks God and his mercy he is back, I still praying for him, I am in a Catholic group to pray for conversion and for the husband JSMYF that is the name, We know that even the husband dont want to save the marriage, God's Plans are differents, Regards
❤ from 🇱🇰 . Every word so true. So hard but so true. It works. In fact the only thing that will work in a hard marriage is your 50%. But God is moving the pieces and in control all the time. Love every word. You are so in tune with Holy spirit. Thanks so much.
Thank you for this video Heather! I appreciate your content so much. This video was especially valuable and relatable. Especially the piece of wisdom about how doubts/hard times in marriage is spiritual warfare-that makes total sense! Thank you for the work you do 💗
Well done Heather. Much needed video. I would have saved myself so much of misery if I had this word presented to me 3 years ago. God bless you. Content idea : please could you guide us/ me on how carry the burden of not being a financial contributor to my home. I am a stay at home mum and I know that it is my calling My husband is amazing, he never complains about the burden of financial provision but I see the stress. It hurts me to know that I am no longer helping financially but being a stay at home mum truly is the joy of my heart
I pray that you would pray for me and my husband who is not Catholic I am in sanctifying grace and I am so grateful for God for bringing me back home. The difficulty I have is although my husband says I should obey him as a Christian husband I do not see the fruits that he is participating in a Christian life but yeah I know not to judge him I do not know his heart before God. I asked the lord please to give me patience for him and to continue to pray for him.
I really appreciated your honesty sharing the time you felt like leaving. Many years ago, I left my husband, due to his neglect of our family and his addiction to pornography. Looking back now, I wish I had had an older Christian woman to share what you did today. We are both now in our late 50s, and he is happily remarried (I must admit she is way more suited to his personality that has developed) but when I see how it impacted our children, I often wonder “What if…?”
Hard situation with me. My wife said she was Lutheran. She's an alcoholic borderline personality. Attacked me while she was drunk last year and then called the police lying saying I attacked her and had me arrested. Five months later she's with new husband number 4. Three different kids three different dads. She's 43 new guy is 32 she found on the internet. I pray rosary for her daily. She served me with divorce papers last August.. such a sad situation for my son.
"So you shall know that I am the LORD your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy, and no aliens shall ever pass through her again. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall flow with waters; and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim."👍 (Joel 4:17-18)
God bless you, for this video. The topic is great, and it will help many people. God is using you, to do this. God bless you, again and again. I am so touched by what you r saying, and thanks again. 🙏🥰👍❤️⭐️💫👏✨🌟✝️
Thank you for this and very timely video as I was just reading Three to Get Married. Also, not what I expected by the title but better as it was what I and everyone needs to hear, especially these days when marriage has not been a popular option.
What a gift you bring to the world. You are as beautiful on the inside as the outside. May God continue to bless you in your ministry and always give you the courage to speak His truth so eloquently.
Thank you for this. I needed this. Please don’t stop doing videos like this. You are so right that marriage is under spiritual attack. Thank you for all you do
Thank you so much for this video's message. I've entered a hard time in my marriage, but there's still so much love between us. Knowing my husband is my path to sanctity truly helps my heart and spirit so much.
Thank you for this!! This is my life and it's so challenging, especially with the nuances of being a wife and staying out of sin when your "head" is strongly opposed to anything Catholic or even recognizing sin. And thank you for PRACTICAL advice on affirming a husband. Side note, because I LOVE her story, Elizabeth Leseur's husband even went on to become Fulton Sheen's spiritual advisor. 🤯 He diary is all about sacrificial suffering and she offered up all her pains and even then illness that took her life to God for her intentions (especially her husband's conversion).
Dear Heather (I’m the one that NEVER comments and here I am commenting on one of your vídeos AGAIN 😅) This was such a blessing! You are very brave and the Holy Spirit does work through you in a wonderful way!!! God bless you and your husband and kids!!!❤ Please pray for us!!💪🙏🏼
First of all, you have a beautiful shirt/dress and look Gorgeous and full of Joy! Thank you for sharing this video. I appreciate the reminder that there are saints who did not have husbands who had faith in God. There are other women who prayed for their husbands and the conversation happened in God's time. . perhaps not the timing they had hoped for. May the Lord bless and keep you and your husband, prayers 🙏
This is really great, Heather. I have a copy if Elizabeth Leseur’s diary, and I couldn’t agree with you more on these points. Thank you for your honesty about the fight with your husband. I pray this helps young wives who are struggling with society telling them to leave their husbands.
Thank you for reaffirming some practices that I need to stick to and to also be light hearted. I often resent and feel angry. Thank you for sharing this and also connecting to the Saints.
Thank you Heather....I agree with you...we as wives must be humble , be loving amid the storm....taje it all to the Lord Jesus in prayer....and always forgive

I think it’s difficult in marriages where one spouse, husband or wife, is trying to be true to their faith when the other is not and may be pulling them in the wrong direction.
Thanks for this advice. So much needed. 🙏
Best best best video everrrr!!! Thank You Jesus for speaking thru beautiful Heather. This was a total inspiration. Thank you sooo much!!
Just wow. Im new to your channel i really need to hear this it was like slap on my face wich i need it thank you so much blessings.
Thank you for this video. I really needed this

Thank you for this and very timely video as I was just reading Three to Get Married. Also, not what I expected by the title but better as it was what I and everyone needs to hear, especially these days when marriage has not been a popular option.
Thank you so much for this. I am struggling so much with prayer.
Hello Heather, Im a catholic from Brazil and I descovered today your channel and I am loving everything here! God blessed you and your family! ❤

Thank you for all you do
God bless you for your gentle, but true words of love!! Your best video to date in my opinion! Thank you!!
Beautiful! The Saint you reference is Servant of God Elisabeth LeSeur- her story is amazing.
Thank you, Heather. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability in this video. I really needed to hear everything you said.
What a beautiful video! Your mother and mother~in~law give me great hope!🙂✝️
One of your best videos, Heather. Thank you. ❤
That is one of the best UA-cam videos I've ever watched. 👏
I like how you turned around and the did the opposite of leaving to Minnesota. Inspiring 🙏
Dear Heather (I’m the one that NEVER comments and here I am commenting on one of your vídeos AGAIN 😅)

You are such and inspiration ❤️🙏💪 thank you so much!!!
I'm a practicing muslim but follow all your content. Youre amazing
Thank you Ms. Heather
Such a good topic!❤
Awesome recommendations !Thank you !
This is really great, Heather. I have a copy if Elizabeth Leseur’s diary, and I couldn’t agree with you more on these points. Thank you for your honesty about the fight with your husband. I pray this helps young wives who are struggling with society telling them to leave their husbands.
This was lovely, Heather! Will offer up my rosary today for you and your husband. God bless!
Thank you for your wisdom!
Thank you for reaffirming some practices that I need to stick to and to also be light hearted. I often resent and feel angry. Thank you for sharing this and also connecting to the Saints.
So informative! This video is overflowing with truth and presented with such love. Gosh, I want to marry you!🙏💗
Thank you Heather....I agree with you...we as wives must be humble , be loving amid the storm....taje it all to the Lord Jesus in prayer....and always forgive
