  • Dr Peterson and Chloe Cole walk through her early childhood as she was going through puberty leading up to her transition. Jordan breaks down her gender dysphoria from a psychologist's point of view.
Chloe Cole is an 18-year-old de-transitioner from The Central Valley of California. She started her transition at 12 years old, puberty blockers and testosterone at 13, and had a double mastectomy at 15 years old. She is now a strong advocate against gender ideology.

This is not a therapy session and more informative warning to those that believe all the nonsense you see trans activists spreading all over the internet tbh quite honest and to kids that may believe transitioning is what they need to do to fix their problems. He would be bound by confidentiality if this was in fact a therapy session and wouldn't be allowed to post it. The writing he is doing isn't taking notes and more probably crossing of notes he had given himself as prompts Or questions. I would think they would have had a conversation about what she was comfortable sharing before the making of the video given the invasive nature of the conversation. It's deeply personal. So having prompts or questions written down before hand would be helpful in keeping the conversation within the boundaries already set.

As a mom who raised daughters through puberty, I can confirm that adolescents going through puberty will experience a wide range of curiosities and emotions. They do not know who or what they are. They have no idea what their preferences are BEFORE they experience anything. Leaving them be mentally and letting them ask questions was the best choice. Both of my girls thought they might be gay or bi simply because the other malformed teenage boys around them weren't interested. Has nothing to do with it. Children transitioning to adulthood do not know how to act or think like developed adults. I never told them no. I never told them they were bad, wrong, or gross. Both have grown out of it.

My armchair opinion is that this is the consequence of raising a weak willed society where nobody wants to hurt anyone's feelings. Parents do not want to hurt their kids feelings and so accept their confused feelings as truth rather than make them and themselves uncomfortable by guiding them through the confusion as they are meant to. Strong willed parents are seen as controlling, evil, and backwards to those who don't have the fortitude to guide the next generation properly. And our society gets to the point it is at today.

That's simply not true for everyone, so please don't generalize. I have always known who and what I am. I grew up with boy cousins as I was an only child and the only girl amongst those in my "family" I actually knew and spent time with. I still prefer guy friends over females because we usually vibe better. I never liked dolls, didn't like dresses for the longest time, I didn't/don't like makeup, high heels, or dolls. I still never once thought I was a boy and I have always known I was straight from the moment I started school and was around boys I wasn't related to. You don't have to experience things in order to know if you feel drawn to or repelled by them.

@@englishatheart When it comes to sexual preference Yes it is psychologically proven you need to experience these things and the emotions attached to them to know whom you prefer. This is why sexual abuse at a young age can drastically change the way a person views who is safe through attraction. This is not the same as liking or disliking inanimate objects like dolls or trucks. This the very basis of how we interact with the same and opposite sex in regards to trust, attraction, love, relationships, children, and a whole host of subconscious expectations that were shaped by.....Experiences. Even as a baby the brain is absorbing information and storing it for later use. As the brain grows so does the capacity to hold information and utilize it. My ex girlfriend is a trans man who regrets transitioning. She was encouraged in middle school to start thinking about transitioning because she was a tomboy who was attracted to girls and when her parents asked her if she wanted to be a boy she thought it seemed fun. After hormones and top surgery she realized she likes boys and wants to be a girl and a mom. But her parents and therapist encouraged her to try and reject those feeling s and commit to transitioning. After she finished hormone therapy she was infertile, which was something she was specifically told would not happen by her doctor. When we met she was suicidal because of how hopeless she felt in her situation. We dated for six months and fell in love. But she was ashamed of her body and that she couldn’t make babies knowing both of us want to be parents. I didn’t hold that against her, we could have adopted, but she couldn’t keep the suicidal thoughts away and eventually broke things off with me and moved away because a relationship was to much for her to handle being that unstable. She couldn’t handle the guilt, shame and regret she felt. The more supportive I tried to be the more she felt bad about being with me. When she shared her experiences and regret with me it was the saddest and most hopeless thing I could ever imagine. She was so young, impressionable and trusting as a kid and the people she trusted ruined her life.
Anyone who thinks kids are old enough to to consent to that madness should know this. At 18 she changed her name to Richard so she can go by Dick because she thought it would be funny to be a Dickless Dick. But she hates the name Richard. When she told people her name is Dick and the reason why she would get made fun of, which should be expected when your friends are that ages. So after only a couple weeks she started going by Richard, which she hates. She’s so traumatized by the changes she did to herself that she refused to change her name again. So every time someone calls her by her name it reminds her of all of her regrets. That’s not the decisions making of a person who is mature enough to make those decisions. She was 18 when she did that. They are pushing this stuff on kids way younger than that.

There’s a reason why I wouldn’t let you get a tattoo is because what you like today you can dislike tomorrow. Same! Same same same!!!
If I was born 10-20 years later, I would have almost definitely ended up going down the trans female turning into male pipeline.
I was a “tomboy” girl. And it was 100% due to the fact that my mother and society taught me that “Girls are weaker than boys. And girls have a harder time in life than boys..”
My mother used to say things like that to me, word for word.
If the parent tells a 4 or 5 year old kid that they are going to be weak if they are a girl-then of COURSE they are going to want to be a boy.
And the same goes in reverse. Let’s say you have a male little boy, and his mother tells him, “Men are bad! Men are mean, violent, angry creatures. Men hurt people. Women are gentle, beautiful, and loving.” And you get an empathetic little boy who doesn’t want to hurt other people. Of course he is going to say inside his little brain, “Being a man is bad, I don’t want to hurt people! I want to be nice to people, so therefore I will be a girl!”
And society accidentally reinforced those lies that were told to me in my life back then-back then, there was less girls in science, for example. Less girls in engineering. Less female doctors. Less female rocket ship builders. Etc. Women only got to either like makeup or stay at home and make babies and clean and cook.
And all the clothing and toys(especially back then in the 90’s and 00’s) was like… ridiculously gendered. So sexist.
The toys that girls only got to play with were sparkly neon makeup, dress up princess clothing, and Barbie dolls, and baby dolls.
And boys got the cool toys like science kits, Lego sets, building stuff with tools, medical toys, bows and arrows, etc. and I liked that cool science stuff! I had several construction building kits. I had science kits. I liked play fighting games. I had a whole arsenal of pretend knives, bows and arrows, shields, swords, armor, etc. (I wish someone had taught little me about badass female Vikings! Being good at fighting to protect people you love, doesn’t have to be a male-only quality!)
But I liked toys that boys were supposed to like, and I liked sports-so that would have made me female to male trans, right….? In today’s society, sadly it might.
And even at school, the boys would pick me last for playing kickball or for sports teams, because I was the only girl in my classes who wanted to play kickball or play sports.
They would even pick the boys who couldn’t kick as far as me, before me. 🙄 Because I was a “girl”.
So I thought inside my little head, “I don’t want to be weak! Girls are weak! I want to be strong! I need to be a boy to be strong! And I want a job that makes a big difference in the world, I don’t want to stay home and cook and clean! So I don’t want to be a girl. I need to be a boy!”
And I thought that way for a LOT of years. Even accidentally subconsciously, I viewed being a woman as being “weaker” than men.
And it took years of self therapy that I basically gave myself as a teenager, to become more comfortable with my gender. And learning to not be afraid of looking beautiful, and that it wouldn’t make me “weaker”.
and after I became a christian at age 21, I did even more years of prayer therapy with God and a several christian counselors. And now I understand that women are just as strong as men-our strengths just lie in different categories. Strong in different ways. And also it depends on the individuals themselves too, and almost nothing in life is black and white. Plus the gender talents can overlap. Plus some of the modern church does teach some lies and gender misinformation as well, but that’s a different story…
Anyway. By like 17 or 18, was glad I was a girl and hadn’t transitioned into being a male. Like I was comfortable enough in my own female skin to be like, “Whew. I am glad I didn’t become trans. I like looking cute in a dress some days, when I feel like it. And looking cute isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And I’m not weaker, girls can be scientists too.”
And even THEN, I was still not 100% fully comfortable in my gender until maybe like age 26 or so. Because then I had to break out of some christian church lies about gender that get forced wrongfully into women… and actually women CAN teach and those verses that supposedly claim that women are weaker and claim that women cannot teach men are taken out of context…
      But anyway.
Long story short: it was only because of society’s lies, and my mother’s lies, and school kids’ bullying at recess, and some church bullying, that I had accidentally believed that girls were “weaker” than boys. And that those lies had tricked my mind into wanting to be a boy and not a girl. I was never really gender dysmorphic.
But in today’s times, I would have probably been told that I was experiencing gender dysphoria. And been transitioned to male.
When all I needed, was some therapy, to heal the trauma. And some gender-reaffirming care, for someone to reaffirm for me that being a woman is: strong, smart, beautiful, can succeed in sports, can succeed in the military, can do anything she wants, can be a rocket scientists or an automotive engineer too, can be a pirate or a Viking too, etc.
And for someone to tell my that “being a girl didn’t make me “weaker” or “less than” boys.”
And these kids today are getting the opposite type of care. 😭😭😭
Maybe a small subset of the population truly is transgender, like Blair White teaches, and it is discernible on a brain scan. I don’t know about that, I haven’t researched it.
But we can say with a high level of certainty that 99% of the people in today’s era who are being projected as “trans” might not actually be trans at all.
There is a high chance that they were just fed lies in their childhood and teenagehood, that made them believe lies, and made them uncomfortable about their birth gender.
And sadly, many times, sexual assault plays a role in wanting to transition too. A victim of assault might see a transition to the other gender as a way to “escape” the assault and then say to themselves “the attacker won’t ever be able to attack me again, when I am a different gender.”
So many kids need therapy for assault.
Instead these kids get society and bad therapist pushing on them, “Omg you’re trans! And if you don’t transition you’re going to be miserable the rest of your life and want to kill yourself!!!! Transitioning will fix all your problems.”
And panicked, they think, “I don’t want to be miserable and kill myself!
I am already miserable. My therapist said that this will fix my issues. I should transition.”
And then 3, or 5, or 10, or 15, or 20, or however many years later…
They realize they were never truly trans at all. And they were rushed into it. When they needed a different type of therapy.
But it’s too late now. Some level of permanent damage has already been done to their body. :(
The society online and therapists rushing to tell kids “you’re trans”- is so dangerous. So many of them aren’t actually truly trans at all.
They’re lost and broken kids who need therapy to undo some lies and trauma.

When I was very young I even denied being a girl seeing the positive response my brother (3.5 years younger) got especially from family that hadn’t had a boy in the family for generations. I hated and still dislike cooking. I am an engineer and trumpet player. I am now the mother of 4 and a grandmother. My husband does most of the cooking still. I wear mostly jeans and no make up. I really appreciate this woman sharing and expressing her experience for the public, and it’s so wonderful to see all the support in the comments. It’s beautiful. As a trans man myself, I only hope this very specific case of de-transitioning is not used as a tactic to inhibit many older youth to get what they need as a person who is trans in this society. It is really hard to live in this world with that title placed on you, not because it’s wrong or perverted, but because of the opinions people hold about trans youth AND adults trying to live their lives. It may seem as if this is all new, but this experience has been around for centuries through indigenous tribes, religious practices, and old societies incorporating and accepting those who do not fit into the sexual roles of a biological male or female. These things need to be talked about, those who de-transition, but please accept the existence of people that do experience dysphoria and go through that mental strife. Thank you for reading! The idea that women are more "vulnerable" sexually is ridiculous. They're more POWERFUL sexually. They have all the sexual power. Men develop the physical power, women develop the sexual power. And the "burden" of child birth has been completely vetoed by modern medicine, namely abortion and contraceptives (post-conception contraceptives in the case of women), and that burden has been passed onto men. Now it's boys and men who bear the risk from sex, as women hold all the reproductive power.
Plus, if this is self-reported data he's using, it's very suspect. And then there's all the sociological factors. You can punch a boy and a girl in the face with the same force, the girl will report that it hurt her more.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the World through Him. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, and All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. It's the fact that she has my EXACT story and I went most of my life being "androgynous" and "gender fluid" and feeling like I "should just be a boy" until I had my son. And it took me being pregnant and this all happening for it to make me realize I'm autistic, my son got diagnosed. And everything made sense. Gender and sexuality were always confusing to me as a kid until I saw all of this occurring and it made me realize it was just a lot of trauma and misunderstanding that women come in all shapes and sizes and i wasn't any less attractive for not being societies "ideal" as a young human. At 32 I'm happy as hell that I'm a woman and I've worked through most of my trauma. But like bigger people getting skinny, you kinda never forget the mentality you had and the realization about how you thought you were experiencing life versus what was actually happening. Being so literal when being autistic, we need someone to give further explanations. Or it's literally black and white and we just take that because we just want to not feel "weird" and just want to "fit in and be normal". I was not like most girls.. but that was okay. I wish someone had told me.. I hated myself for so so long.

There was a girl in our class in our catholic school in the 80s that ALWAYS played sports excellently with the boys during gym class and their games at recess even football. Everyone thought she was awesome, not a one of us EVER considered that she should go trans or even was gay. No teachers ever suggested it, no students ever, even in the nasty way kids gossip, made fun of her. We were just amazed at her confidence and abilities. We really celebrated it. And that's as far as it went. She's a Dr now, happily married with kids. If this agenda was pushed when we were kids I can't imagine what would have happened to her.

Only interesting part here is, that people think, that any of this got anything to do with transsexuality.
It's the same idiocy as people calling all kind of nonsense 'gay'. You are homosexual, when you want to have sex with someone of the same sex as yourself. That's it. Nothing else.
And transsexual means, that you got the devastating problem to have the wrong sex. Nothing else.
It got NOTHING to do with 'playing with the boys', being a 'tomboy', clothes, hair, make up whatever. Completely different things.
If you for example like to wear female underwear or dresses as a man, that's transvesty. Doesn't mean that you are transsexual or homosexual. Can be on top of it (and of course for example a transwoman will very likely wear female underwear and so on if the problem is solved somehow), but not interlinked.

In Japan there are many beautiful bathing areas in spas. Almost all have a rule of no tattoos allowed. If you show up, and you have tattoos, you can’t just say, “my fluid body expression has no tattoos, so you have to let me in or you’re “body expression phobic.””
No, you have tattoos. They have a boundary regarding that.
But now you say “but there’s lots of people like me, a community, and our community has a abnormally high suicide & self harm rate & if you don’t respect our body fluid expression and let us do whatever we say we want, we have an abnormally high suicide & self harm rate.”
Implying, but not specifically saying, that if you don’t just allow us to “do whatever we say we want” people will kill themselves, hurt themselves and it will be, at least a little, your fault.
Unless you let this individual specifically or anyone in their group collectively “do whatever they say we want”, you are causing their harm & deaths.
Oh, and you can’t question us, or we will say you are “phobic” which is now the worst thing in the world to be, so that should end any discussion and hopefully convince everyone that they should & must be submissive to “whatever we say we want”. Oh & also change all the rules & boundaries & schools & governments & everything to support us, and only us, 100%.

On the contrary, in Ontario, Canada where I live, the Ontario school boards are (or want to start) instructing Ontario school staff (and encourage the other students) to hide a young trans (aka 'gender variant') student's preferred gender, his/her new chosen name and his/her chosen pronouns from this student's parents, supposedly to provide a 'safe space' at school for the child to 'live his/her true self' while supposedly protecting the child from possible parental violence upon hearing of their child's decision to transition. I would love to hear Dr. Jorden Peterson's response to this new development in Ontario schools and to hear what the effects he would expect to see develop in a child who is encouraged by the teachers and guidance counsellor to lead a double life as he/she lies to and deceives his/her parents at home. I would think that would vastly increase the child's feelings of depression, anxiety, guilt and possible suicidal thoughts.

The thing about detransitioners that nobody is talking about: most doctors recommend starting puberty blockers at age 15. Many of the detransitioners transitioned at a younger age than average, went through the process quickly, and were not screened for additional mental illness to ensure that transitioning was truly the answer. Any good doctor would inform you of the risks, and ultimately warn you that transitioning early comes with more risks than normal, and ultimately would refuse treatment if it was necessary. I grew up watching several of my friends transition, and none of them started before the age of 15. None of them have detransitioned either. All of them went through a long process of at least a year before getting puberty blockers or any kind of surgery. These processes are important and shouldn’t be skipped. They’re there for due diligence and to protect you. Additionally, transitioning isn’t even the answer for every trans person. There are many people who identify as trans and NEVER go under the knife. Transition is one of the treatments for gender dysphoria, but not the only one.

That was a part of the law God gave the Israelites for which we can see several purposes, not just that of ordering their actions to righteousness. It was also to impart to them how incredibly holy God is and how set apart they must be for their sin to not cause them to die in the presence of the holy God. Since then, Jesus came to fulfill that law, so that through repentance and trust in Jesus (who He said He is and what He did in laying down His life for us on the cross), we are cleansed of our sin and brought into restored relationship with God with the hope of eternity with God rather than without Him in hell.
