Absolutely sign off as an INTP. Ti can be very similar to Fi and strongly feel it serves a similar purposes as Fi for INFPs. But with a different spin. Anything I can offload to logic or sense-making (while remaining authentic), I will. Here's the thing, and there's a great video by Zoe Bee about this: Facts actually DO care about your feelings. I feel that, once you understand this, you may start to understand why Ti and Fi can do similar things. Ti, to me, is all about constructing a worldview that makes sense and with ideas on how to actualize my dreams for that world. Fi seems similar, but is more about projecting self in the moment or constantly. I don't feel this big need to "live" or look authentic to my identity, but I absolutely experience problems and may get defensive when someone starts trying to criticize my ideas, worldview, or logic/reasons that explain things. Well said. Sometimes when I need to work on my own Fi I visualize my persona with the unapologetic authenticity of an IxFP. Really helps to change the mindset and approach.
Well explained, I cant help but express the truth when im with people who belief nonsense. It comes automatically, I couldnt live with myself not being logically authentic. Yes, my identity is my logic. I think people dont quite understand that Ti is identity in the same way as Fi.

The way that I see it is that F types work in binaries such as Good/Bad or True/False. Where as T types work as probabilities. Both of them are processed out of logic but what's emphasized in the logical process is different and you can definitely see that in identity.
(ENTP) I agree that Ti and Fi are identity functions, but I think authenticity should be a word that has been and should be reserved as a differentiator. For example, Personality Hacker uses that word specifically to denote Fi(accuracy for Ti). We all express authenticity to a degree, and I think this is a good explanation of how someone with Fi represents themselves. I just think there should be some consistency with vocabulary representation especially for the newcomers and naysayers. I can really relate since authenticity has always been important to me but I’m pretty easy going when it comes to compromising on feeling type things but it’s like pulling teeth to get me to compromise on logic. You have to convince that what you’re saying makes more sense and nothing else will change my mind but I can understand and appreciate different values, so long as they don’t compromise logical sense. It’s taken me awhile but I now understand that valuing and respecting other people’s feelings in their own right, is actually logical so long as no one is trying to force me into agreeing with anything that makes no sense to me.

Nice video! INTP here. I think authenticity would apply to me as a description of my thought autonomy. I have this fervent need to think autonomously and independently, so I guess you could say I'm being an authentic robot. 😂
I'm INFJ (Ti) and being authentic is very important to me especially in the sense of saying only what i actually think whether that be an opinion or more obviously what i understand to be factually true, or even saying something with words that bleed true from my heart instead of using cliches or other phrases where authenticity gets lost in the high usage of the word or phrase. But this rarely if ever has anything to do with my feelings. My feelings are not considered something to be authentic about, only something i experience. I'll full out hide my feelings when It's not appropriate for the setting or I feel the other person won't understand.... which is always.
As a entp I've been working hard on my fi over time..I would say I'm pretty aligned .. but trying now to bring up on my Si . Plus I think yes accuracy is needed but it needs to be empathically put with other peoples fi values, instead of Radically honest put out there. ..
