*Mom* : "Asura, my son, are you again playing these videogames?"
*Asura* : "Yes mom, I'm working on my Te by beating everyone by killing them in this game. That's really good for me, ask Jung!"
*Mom* : "That's so wonderful, my son!"

I would say that in a function stack, it's hard to completely separate the auxiliary and the inferior, because they are either both directed inward or both directed outward. Take the INTJ for example, Te and Se are paired together. Without Se (interacting with the world), Te can't implement its logic and order to the outside world. And for ENTJ, without Fi, Ni wouldn't even find meaning in the first place. So if someone wants to develop their auxiliary, it's also important for them to be aware of their inferior and its influence on the auxiliary.

I'm an ISTP, and one of the worst periods of my life was when I was in a Ti - Ni rut (I can see now that that was the case), because I wasn't "expressing my internal judgements" as you said, and it makes perfect sense to me. As soon as I started developing that Se (by putting things to practice and taking action), my life changed for better and I could see that from my relationship with my family, because my perception of things expanded. And now I'm able to be much more balanced between the two middle functions.
    Great video btw

I am happy there is someone talking about „Jungian typology” who has actually read Jung. kudos!

Probably why when I finally came out of my negative situations and decided to be my own person, Te was super attractive to me...still kind of is. Has been extremely useful to make deliberate practice at it.

Ya I fell into that trap of trying to develop my inferior as an INTP by joining the military. 6 years in and I feel constantly burnt out mentally from forcing myself to deal with people, wish I learned of the cognitive functions early to focus on my auxiliary as I went out into the world.

I am not entirely convinced you couldn’t have a double introverted or double extroverted top two preference development, or even have multiple “auxilaries” as Jung also suggested. Using the opposite attitude for exchanges between the internal world and external world sounds logical, but in practice, I hear many folks say they identify with two extroverted or introverted functions (judging and perceiving) and can’t decide which is the “right” one for their top preference. Maybe they just don’t understand the functions well enough, but those more extreme extroverts and introverts do seem to operate on TeSe, or TiNi, or FeNe. It also seems to be the birth of the loop concept, or jumpers in OP.
It is helpful to organize function preference as pairs of opposite attitudes purely because it lends to beneficial guidance for the unbalanced, like telling introverts to communicate more, or extroverts to reflect more... and this theraputic advice was more in keeping with the goal of MBTI. MBTI assumes an ideal rather than an actuality for behavior in many cases.
So, jury is still out on that one...

This really resonates, because I've always struggled with my Fi (aux). I never know how to work with it and I keep hearing that ENFP's Fi is good and all that but I really seem to struggle with mine a lot because it's a lot to deal with. I do also think that introverted functions are harder to develop.

Thanks, I've just been reading about the different interpretations of Jung in relation to the 'auxiliary function'. You helped me to clarify my understanding.

Considering how he hints at it in his "Type Problem in Poetry" chapter, I find it so weird that Jung never explicitly says that the auxiliary function is of the opposite attitude. I guess he wasn't 100% sure himself

The question here is how to condesne all the information you have that you want to communicate. In a couple of frazes that makes it understandable to the person I am communicating. I feel most of the time like trying to squeze a orange true a tube. And when it comes out it's all in pices and not what I have envision in my head.

as an infp, how to develop extraverted intuition, does it help to be around Ne leads (for expample enfps), something like monkey see, monkey do, for a more holistic way of understanding and growing Ne

I’m an INTJ and I have an ENTJ friend and when I meet with her I feel like I come back home with kind of a “new me”. Maybe I exaggerate it, but I certainly feel like she inspires me in some ways. So yeah, I think it helps to be with someone who have your auxiliary function as a dominant one.

I love your videos and can connect with them really well. Possible to also in one of your videos suggest how can one know if their auxiliary function is well developed and also provide guidance on some strategies which can be used to develop same?

What about using the inferior function as an aspiration, as Cs Joseph says? Would you say it's a good choice to work with something that requires your 4th function (subconscious)? Like an INTJ choosing sports as a career...

I think I really possible for Ni Dom to have a job career in sport. I practice athletics during 11 years when I was younger (at a regional level in France). Learn fast, never give up, determined.
I think Ni dom can be great at sport like any other type. I admit I had an accident in training over the hurdles, but it was the only one. It was still less than others people.

I for the most part test as ENTP but barely come off as extroverted to most people. How normal is this ?

MBTI introversion/extroversion isn't the same as social introversion/extroversion. If your dominant function is introverted, it means you're more internally focused. So you could be an ENTP but still be socially introverted. It is also said that ENXPs are the most introverted amongst the extroverts. So it's very normal
