Beginner Blues Guitar Lesson - Muddy Waters Guitar Lesson
Everybody has an inner bluesman/woman inside them somewhere. Believe me, as a guitar teacher. Tons of people come to me for one-on-one lessons to improve their blues playing. There's another group of students that don't even realize they like the blues. But I'll show them a quick blues riff, and their face will light up. Everybody's got the blues. So learn a couple easy blues riffs so that you too can play your blues away.
In this beginner blues guitar lesson, I go over 2 songs by the legendary blues artist known as Muddy Waters. Muddy was a true original of the blues that really changed what the blues could be. He's contributed countless amounts of amazing songs that were copied again, and again, and again to this day. He was also the first to record a bunch of classic blues songs. (even though he didn't write them) so the versions of a lot of blues standards are based off the Muddy Waters version.
Mannish Boy, and Hoochie Coochie man are both must known blues tunes. Both of them are super simple, yet use classic, must know blues techniques.

Is there any way to do the intermediate mannish boy with a different hand position? My hands are so small that it isn't difficult, but impossible. My thumb is a full inch away from being able to mute the e string no matter how I move around while still fretting the other notes with my other fingers. Or do I just need a smaller guitar?
