The Volkswagen Type 3 was manufactured by Volkswagen from 1961 to 1973. Introduced at the 1961, the Type 3 was marketed as the Volkswagen 1500 and later as the Volkswagen 1600, in three body styles: two-door Notchback, Fastback and Variant, the latter marketed as the 'Squareback' in the United States.
This is the very first time this Volkswagon Variant Squareback has been on the market for sale in the United States, as it has lived in the mild climate of South America its entire life. In the world of vintage Volkswagon's, the Squareback has become highly sought-after and highly collectible, being one of the hardest to obtain. Especially in this completely restored, beautiful condition. The color combination is absolutely stunning, finished in Brilliant Blue over custom Blue/ Tan plaid interior.
