I'm a Beetle/Camper person, but I never thought I'd want a '69 Square. It's not perfect looking, but has a 2110cc engine & semi-restored by an electrician. It has a rare dealer color, but looks similar to patina. The car is solid, reliable, in dry CA, everything works & is not a project. Tough call.
@@jeremydoc hey, would you know if VW aluminum engine cases EMPI HD aftermarket are good? I think the original was magnesium. The squareback possibly has aluminum. My mechanic doesn’t like aluminum cases. Thanks

Something you might want. To consider ISP. West is now selling a retro tack that fits in the clock hole position And looks a hundred percent factory
Yep, I’ve seen those tachs and they look super nice! A buddy of mine actually bought one even before he got his square haha.
In vintage VW wireing, brown is ground. The Germans figured that the ground was made of dirt, dirt is brown, so the ground in the car should be brown.
