Just used this to fix mine! Took me about an hour, but I've never done anything like this and I'm just a mom at home alone with my 2 kids, so I was impressed with myself anyway 😂
Thank you for this step by step. It was very helpful, and the demonstration of the part being locked up was nice to help me confirm that was the issue I was having.
I couldn't figure out how to get the belt back on, but I had the tech manual and it showed the path and I got it from that image!

I just want to THANK YOU!!! My new to me dry made a HORRIBLE noise as soon as it was plugged in. Found your video. Took it apart. Thank goodness i did because the ppl never cleaned it and it looked like the lint already caught fire. Cleaned it up. Put it back together. No noise 🎉 (it was some piece of metal that i guess got some how that was caught between the drum and the case) only took me 3 hrs by myself w 3 kids and 3 cats running around. But YOUR video helped me get apart and put it back together😊🎉🎉🎉🎉

Watched this video and it definitely helped me understand how to fix my dryer. However, did not need to take the control panel apart as this video suggested. Was able to just remove the four screws in the back of dryer, and then was able to loosen top and get it out of the way. Did use a lot of the information though when fixing my dryer. Thanks!!

THANKS!!! Your excellent video instructions helped me fix my squealing dryer. It took a little longer than some of your other commenters mentioned, but after it was done, I decided it was well worth the time. Oh, after getting it all put together, I found that I had a couple of "extra" screws...having to partially disassemble again to discover where those "extra" screws were supposed to go probably accounted for some of the added time.

Awesome step by step instructions replaced the idler pulley in 35 minutes and have never taken a dryer apart. Excellent video and great instructions. Also the way you started the video showing what the noise sounded like gave me confidence that I was replacing the correct part. Thanks for the video!!

Thank You! I have this exact machine and I followed your instructions and had the bad pulley replaced in about an hour. For those asking below, you cannot access the pulley from the back, it must be done the way shown in this video. Stupid design that there is no access panel in the back but it is what it is.

This video helped us get inside the dryer to fix it. As is turned out for us, the rollers and pulley needed hair removed from between the rod and wheel. The clip release was different on our dryer. The clips located below the door had to be pushed down to release. This video saved us big time! Thanks!!!

Thanks for the video, just replaced the idle pulley much easier than I thought it would be thanks to your video, had the dryer since 2011 first issue with it
I must say that I am surprised there aren't more dryer fires with the amount of lint that gathers inside, I was surprised how much was on the inside.

I have never trusted myself to take apart an appliance and repair it on my own. Your step by step instructions worked like a charm and, instead of having to pay hundreds to repair or replace the dryer, it cost me $36 and some time.
My only suggestion would be to have some closeup shots of tricker things like unplugging console pieces and how to loop the belt. Thankfully there was a repairman' manual hidden inside the console and I was able to figure it out from there.

I had the same problem, but it is the way the belt is wrapped around the crank shaft and the pulley. The belt goes counter clockwise around the motor post making a c shape, then lift the pulley lever to the left and loop the top part of the belt coming off the motor under and over the pulley making a backwards c. Essentially making a backwards s between the shaft and pulley. I hope this helps someone, because I spent so long google how to wrap the belt. I would post a picture, but I can’t figure out how

You failed to heavily emphasize to viewers to UNPLUG their dryer before doing open heart surgery. You slightly mentioned it once, with very little emphasis. People's lives are at stake here... EMPHASIZE!!!
