I took everything mechanical apart and found nothing wrong with my dryer. None of the pulleys were bad and the belt was still in good shape. I did find a couple of penny's and a dime in the bottom of the dryer. After putting it back together there was no more squeaking and the dryer is operating fine. This makes me think the problem was that a coin had gotten stuck between the tub and either the back of the dryer or the front panel that holds the door. I'm not the kind of person that purchases things over the internet I don't need so I took the dryer apart before I wasted my money. Good Luck with your Dryer, Don't throw it out because it squeaks. That one way to look at it. I would get tired of taking it apart every two weeks, however I would be curious how long before it goes out completely.
Isn’t WD40 flammable at the high temps that dryers use?
yes it is flammable, however I'm just spaying enough to quiet the pulley. It is also a temporary fix to give someone time to order the new part. The dyer lint that builds up in the bottom of the dryer is more flammable.
Can anyone provide me the link to the part?
This should be it amzn.to/2VfRcup
