"Imagine a society that subjects people to conditions that make them terribly unhappy then gives them the drugs to take away their unhappiness. Science fiction? It is already happening to some extent in our own society. Instead of removing the conditions that make people depressed, modern society gives them antidepressant drugs. In effect, antidepressants are a means of modifying an individual's internal state in such a way as to enable him to tolerate social conditions that he would otherwise find intolerable."
      -Uncle Ted
Any unnatural addiction that seeks to pathologize natural behavior in an "appropriate" modern setting also counts with the above quote. Extreme exercise and bodybuilding is just another coping mechanism in an otherwise intolerable society.

I dont agree with the lifting form and the coffee, that indeed is dumb. But if you teach your kids to love working out and have fun , that’s insanely good for them. They spend time with their parents , they communicate and build a better bond. In addition, you guys talk about 80k in the gym…He is a world level strongman , ofc he invests in his job and passion! And for the love of god, LIFTING SAFELY DOES NOT STOP GROWTH ! I think this family is not 100% healthy( no family is perfect) but I would go as far as calling them the worst parents
