My mom was told by her doctor she needed to take statins for her cholesterol which was 475. She refused and continued to eat a high-fat diet with plenty of red meat and butter/cream, as everyone in her native country did for centuries.
That was 30 years ago. Mom is now a very healthy 94 year old lady. The doctor is dead.

I also refused due to the very bad side effects of statin and hope very much that this decision will make me live so long as your Mom!👍

Jack Lalanne didn't eat anything processed or man made (well packaged shit, of course the vegetables/fruits were "mad made" since not like it's wild) , he also ate a lot of meat with every meal and eggs. He would eat fruit in the morning and vegetables at night. A simple Google showed that. He was a vegetarian for six years but then went to this. He is quoted on tv saying he eats this:
“He recommended the following meal plan; Breakfast: fruit, eggs and/or meat, and whole wheat toast . Lunch: Big salad, and meat/fish. Dinner: Big salad, two vegetables, meat/fowl, and fruit.”
He clearly ate a lot of meat, even if he ate vegetables and fruit. Ate no sugar or processed food. No coffee. Why do they always claim people who eat a lot of fruit and vegetables while still eating a lot of meat are healthy because of the fruit and vegetables? Also, why not all the other older fitness people who stayed clean and ate mostly meat? It's like they choose to ignore the meat.
Also, if you have the time you should look into Hong Kong. They now are the country with the longest lifespan, they eat on average 1.5lbs of meat a day per person and they live in very polluted areas and if you have been there, a lot of areas in Hong Kong they aren't the greatest.. yet still live long lives. The highest meat consumption per capita in the world, higher than Europe and the US. They eat a lot of raw meat as well. YET they are being told to slow their meat consumption! I'd love to see a video done on this.

@Honest youtubr Mongolia has a huge surge of grains and do not eat as much meat as they used to and if you watch any of the Mongolia channels you see this. Are they still killing animals and eating them? Yes. But they eat a lot of bread products now and sugar. They use to eat a lot more meat and even eat meat more raw then they do now a days. They also use to refuse to eat bread (Chinese loaves) but now there is videos showing they eat it a lot more now. Not only that but a lot of them drink a lot of alcohol. The biggest issue is the mothers will drink while pregnant, you see this with Inuit's as well.
They did studies on Inuit's and the ones who didn't drink and mothers didn't drink during pregnancy lived healthy lives and had pretty high IQ's compared to other populations. The ones who did drink or they had mothers that did drink during pregnancy clearly were not going to be healthy and had way lower IQs. I have no idea if any study like this has been done on Mongolians.
To me it's simple and it shows this everywhere, in every single country. If you have a population that eats a lot of meat, no processed food or rarely and doesn't drink a large amount of alcohol then they are extremely healthy and live longer lives. Especially if they eat raw meat within that population. Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland etc.

the supplements, drugs, preworkout crap these bodybuilders take have liver toxicity scores. that alone should ring alarm bells.
It's very common to see bodybuilders have mountains of acne all over their back, back of arms, legs, face. It's from all the toxic powder they eat.
they were all on steroids and are very lean. Being that lean alone is catastrophic to your hormonal management and is life threatening.

Smart man. When I was younger, despite getting nutritional advice from our football and wrestling team dietitian, I still didn't feel it was right, because they were only interested in each player maintaining a certain level of weight. This often involved eating excessively. Most of us were already naturally larger then the average person. I suppose carrying weight beyond one's maximum BMI was ok for a young athlete🤔. I was lucky to have the ideal size for my position, but unfortunately, many of my teammates (including my bodybuilding and powerlifting friends) resorted to PEDs and roids to maintain a certain weight and size for their positions. Their strength was off the charts, but today they are paying dearly with serious health issues (stressing their bodies so much they need hip, knee replacement, and back surgery) and many have passed way too soon (middle age and younger)😟. Dude, I use to lift so heavy that my body felt very uncomfortable, but I was jacked as hell, all natural. Get this, to me being in that state was, again, very uncomfortable. It's simply unnatural and unhealthy to be so extreme; it shortens one life. We are only on this earth for a short time. Also, I hated ignorant people always making dumb ass comments, especially they have never worked out or played sports. I have since left that ridiculous mindset behind about getting as big as I can, lifting ridiculous amounts of weight (why?), and eating like a damn tasmania devil. You are correct, it's about moderation and keeping fit to live a long as possible, good quality life.... Keep fit and keep it moderate, you are doing the right thing. Jack Lalane was on T.V. when I was a kid & I never heard him PUSH veganism. And he ALSO didn't keep that body in that photo - that was obviously a phase. He was more about getting housewives in shape through home exercising every day. He sold juicers back when they were ALL the rage, but I think his main audience was the middle class suburban busy with family women. As they aged, he sold juicers - being that the elderly subsist on crap like those canned "protein/multivitamin" drinks the juicing was a better alternative - a not meant to be a meal replacement like vegans use them.

Intramyocellular lipids will induce insulin resistance and prevent glucose from getting out of the bloodstream which will be very damaging for endothelial function over time if left chronically high. Best advice I can give is to eat JUST enough fat to spare protein for lean tissue, hormones, enzymes etc.

goatis, you look well built. Do you not do any exercise? I'm sure you go to the gym occasionally (or any other outdoor calisthenics). I get the idea that too much stress on the body is not healthy but some stress is healthy. Maybe you didn't mean it as if a sedentary life is superior, but maybe an 'almost' sedentary life? I imagine a baboon in the wild, climbing trees, looking for food, wrestling and otherwise sitting around and relaxing is quite healthy. Maybe that vs a baboon trapped in a cage for 25 years, not able to climb anything and just rotting there would be much less healthy. If you're a maniac pushing yourself every day and destroying yourself with too much exercise, that's clearly unhealthy, but if you're weak and not doing much of anything then that's also unhealthy. A body needs to move, a cheetah needs to run (obviously if it didn't it would starve if it cant catch its meal lol) but sprinting all day would obviously destroy its health. Maintaining a certain level of strength, endurance, flexibility and overall fitness seems ideal for longterm health, mentally and physically. Fitness, to me, would be synonymous with that. 'Elite fitness' on the other hand would not be in that category. I'd say that to get a body to that level of performance, something needs to be sacrificed, and that something is likely longevity. But if you can somehow maintain the health and efficiency of your organs and whatnot then maybe you can get away with more.

    I saw that video.
I'm an elder, and am presently eating a keto-vore diet.
I was quite athletic in my 30's, riding 200-300 miles of bicycle per week, for fun, not as a discipline, or to become fit, buff, just for fun. I'd take on the steepest hills as a challenge, and of course, all-day rides. I also began hitting the gym. I ate what was considered the most healthful diet during those time, high carb, low fat... but those miles of riding burned it right off.
As my life became more complicated, I rode less, but I had physically demanding jobs. I basically ate and drank everything, also drank beer at night. I slowly put on the pounds.
I kept this up until my late 60's, and put on the weight. My (overweight) gal is a damn good cook, and exotic desserts where always part of the meals she made.
About 6 years ago, I started getting a pain in one foot. The doctors discounted it as a sprain, but I it got worse. I became insistent. Finally, I was directed to a podiatrist, who diagnose it as a neuroma. Again, they told me to wear loose shoes, take pain meds.
I have been looking further into it myself since it's no big deal to my doctors, and a huge deal to me. It is a degradation of the nerves in my feet, due to blood sugar. My blood glucose was 99, high "normal," and the docs said I'm healthy. My feet dictate otherwise.
I came to the conclusion that an old man's job is to keep his testosterone high, and blood sugar low. I've been researching how this is done dietarily, and am now a carnivore heavy keto.
My foot issues are slowly subsiding, I've dropped 20 pounds, and am a kilo away from my first weight loss goal.
The medical system wants to drug me, or carve me up on an operating table. The system is so broken, misdirected, and totally centered around profits. Compassion is non-existent, but smiles and courtesy abounds. They want the money... NEXT!
I asked my general practitioner about how much dietary education she got. She said, "none, little." This is just wrong for medicine. Totally wrong.
It is sad that I have to diagnose myself, doggedly seek solutions, on line, and the information counters what I get from the healthcare system. I am my own Guinea pig.
I'm getting results from my diligence.
BTW, I've friends who are vegan. They're all fat, some are huge. Most (but the biggest) do exercise, but I'd not call them fit.

I have a theory and or a question. High blood pressure hurts the brain and kidneys etc. that blood pressure is pretty much constant a little high. However when doing extreme weight lifting where they are grimacing and groaning that would skyrocket the blood pressure FAR higher but for shorter duration. If a person does the torso tightening moaning and groaning weight lifting body building would that not also affect the person over time? Jack Lalanne lived to 87 or so however he preached against muscle building and called it being muscle bound. so he was more muscle tensing between doors etc. if a person has a weak spot such as silent anuerism in brain or elsewhere they can and DO drop dead while doing extreme exercising. In marathons and on football field people do keel over dead from heart attacks and strokes.

Why can’t different bodies have different nutritional needs? If carnivore solves all the issues for an individual, great. If this guy claims plants don’t cause him bloating, lucky him. The point is to experiment and find out what works for YOU.

Or it more likely means that he is lying, that's more so the point. You can't eat more fibre and have less bloating, it's just impossible.

It’s mainly cause of PEDS like you said or Roids.
There’s NO WAY you will die when doing it naturally lol.
I actually life weights and do strength/ conditioning and HIIT training like 200m intervals / 400m intervals cause I’ve been training Grappling / BJJ for 8 years.
I look very healthy (not a bodybuilder of course), and feel very good.
Just because u excercise doesn’t mean you’ll die at 20 lol
