Elon Musk unveils the "Cybercab" at Tesla robotaxi event

- Tesla hosts its 'We, Robot' event on Thursday at Warner Bros. Discovery's movie studio in Burbank, California. Elon Musk rolled up to the stage in what he said was a "Cybercab" with no steering wheel or pedals. Tesla has produced 21 of these vehicles, he said, characterizing them as "fully autonomous."
Tesla owners cleaning after my Saturday nights ... mauahaha
YOU will get $10,000 bill from Tesla for " cleanup"
Bro really thinks he's Tony Stark 🤦♂️
The fanboys in the audience were struggling to find reasons to get excited about.
You’re a hater who hasn’t invented anything 😂
I am one of those fans and this event sucked. I am a Tesla fan, not a Elon fan. Elon has done some great stuff but this event was vague and lacking.
Lmao anytime you try to change how people do anything you will have haters. I love reading the hate from people that will never accomplish not even 1% of what Tesla has accomplished.
@@caladr9367 You are a gullible fool.
Possibly the only optimist left in the history-making business
The one thing that's left to unveil now is Cyborg 😂😂
Johnnycab is here
Don't get mad at the car, it will run you over.
Ok people, move along, there's nothing to see here.
The unveiled vague promises with no details. How will owners get taxi licenses and taxi insurance? What markets have they established tenative approvals to allow people to own and operate their own driverless taxi service? Was Optimus being tele-operated as a concept/demo or autonomously? What was different about the driverless van concept from all the dozens of others we've seen every year at SEMA?
Lots of smoke and mirrors.
Talking about movies other than "Blade Runner," maybe Musk will end up like James Cagney's character in "The Roaring Twenties," who goes from gangster kingpin to being a cab driver.
Would that be John Bladerunner?
Kaizer Soze.
Just a smoke and mirrors presentation folks. Nothing new.
He’s been talked and promising autonomaous years ago
We saw this in total recall
Cybercrap 😂
I recently sold some of my long-term position and currently sitting on about 250k, do you think Nvidia is a good buy right now or I have I missed out on a crucial buy period, any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated

people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analyzing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted based on thorough research and years of practical experience.

Can’t wait for these. No need for uber.
The location for this event was well chosen - the fictional world of a movie studio.
Talk about bland.

Wow ... leather jacket
Fake .. like his presentation
He learned from jenson
I used to have the belt buckle
The event was disappointing and he has been talking about this for a long long time. But I know he is late, but he delivers!!! Without him, electric car wouldn't have become mainstream.
FSD has been in developement for close to a decade, theoretically though, watch this carefully:
you have a training set
you have a tensorflow model
any error of 1 second results in a fatality
model trained and gives a 99.999% success
gives .001% failure
100,000 cars over 1 second gives 1 fatal failure, every second, because its additive
meanwhile normal drivers have .000008% chance of getting in an accident every day
plus with experience they can slow down and avoid blind entries
I'm not saying you can't have FSD, its really more of a, probably not with simple reflex AI thing
Tesla also has a major problem with sensor redundancy. What happens WHEN a FSD Tesla with no steering wheel is going 70 on the freeway and some snow or mud blocks a camera?
Is this Elon Musk or Joe Biden. When did he start having so much trouble completing sentences?
he's always like that in live events
Yeah Elon has always struggled at speaking sentences
Elon musk has a natural stutter. He just thinks faster. I have it too. It’s a little too much sometimes.
He always talked like this
Lol this isn’t bad at all. When Elon has to explain a complicated topic to someone who has a much lower IQ, like those who can’t tell the difference between Elon Musk and Joe Biden, his stutter gets really bad because he has to figure out how to explain that topic at a 3rd grade level
Maybe I’m the only one, but it feels like I’m listening to a 6th grader giving a presentation on a book. Except he is only talking about pictures in the book. Also, is he trying to be funny?
No mention of roadster. No mention of model 2, dates on FSD and Robo taxi unclear. A lot of rehashing dreams...
We Robot event disappointing...
Exactly
It wasn't an event. It was a gathering of yes men paid to be there at a ghost town.
@@intimidate2161 Tesla's robotaxi push hinges on 'black box' AI gamble
Tesla aims to stun investors Thursday night with its long-awaited “robotaxi unveil," a potential milestone after a decade of Elon Musk’s unfulfilled promises to deliver self-driving vehicles.
The automaker is widely expected to showcase a prototype called the "Cybercab" rather than a road-ready driverless taxi.
Convincing regulators and passengers of the vehicle’s safety could prove much harder and take much longer - while its main competitors, such as Alphabet’s Waymo, expand robotaxi fleets they're already operating in select cities today.
Tesla has to date pursued a different technological path than all of its major self-driving rivals - one with potentially higher rewards but also higher risks to both its business and its passengers, according to Reuters interviews with more than a dozen executives, consultants and academics specializing in self-driving technology and three former Tesla autonomous-vehicle engineers.
Tesla's strategy relies solely on a combination of “computer vision,” which aims to use cameras the way humans use eyes, with an artificial-intelligence technology called end-to-end machine learning that instantly translates the images into driving decisions.

elon is the opposite of a leader than jensen.
one is extraordinary. the other fooled the masses that he will be extraordinary after ppl buy his tsla stock. a grifter.
So million of cab driver will lose their job 🤠
Not going to happen.
Why is there soooo much hate in these comments. This is the first robotaxi that actually looks loke a robotaxi and not a regular vehicle with a bunch of unnecessary sensors.
I think UA-cam is also shadow banning all the news about the event
Lots of msm sheeps out there that wont see the future and the opportunities even if its right in their faces.
Free speech haters.
@@HectorPerdomo-q8g Musk hasn't the slightest interest in "free speech". His interest is only in promoting views that allign with his. Everyone else is the enemy, not someone with a different POV.

Cost too much, not safe and unsustainable...yes that's Teslas alright 😂
all the Elon sycophants hooting like mor ons
Can fit two people wow
Most Uber rides are 1-2 people. Teams full of smart engineers I think they can figure that out 🙄
Get destroyed….
Even Aptera knows that the majority of miles driven in a vehicle is with 2 or less. More ideal than those who own a truck and don’t do anything a normal vehicle can’t do just because they can.
it can also fit 2 - 3 bodies in the trunk, cross STATE lines.
That’s is why they also have a van that can fit many people at once
If Elon really cared about sustainability and efficiency, he’d be pushing for public transport-like bullet trains/metros or electric self driving buses. Cars? Total waste. They’re a waste of space, and most of the U.S. today, especially SoCal, isn’t built for efficiency. I get the appeal of race cars and off-roading; that’s all good. But if we’re talking about really moving people from A to B, cities need serious planning and restructuring with public transport as the backbone. Little self driving Teslas aren’t solving anything; they’re just adding to the problem.
you are a SOCIALIST.
public transport is too Expensive.
Robotaxi is SAFEST & cheapest per mile.
Tesla is already Sustainable transport.
CA overpaid Bullet train to NOWHERE , built train bridge w/ NO tracks.
Trains cost $$$ Trillions , compare to Boring LOOP tunnels.
already in operation in TX and LV.
every Tesla can use Boring LOOP tunnels.
Agreed. He makes this stupid comment in the presentation about being able to sit around like in a lounge and do other stuff. He obviously has never heard off or been on train or bus.
Ever heard of the Boring Tunnel
The man has made more for a substainable future than you will ever make.
Elon long ago discovered people don't want to hear about reality and well reasoned solutions. Instead he takes them on a magical aspirational journey that has about as much substance as the clouds in the sky. I have to give him credit it's one heck of a grift and no one does it better. Sooner or later though it's all going to come crashing down.
Elon Musk is a con man duh
Why he looks so evil
This seems like vaporware. Governments won’t let any company put a driverless car on the roads without a lot of money and red tape. Waymo is only in 2 cities after all.
Waymo is in 6. And the reason for this is not because other cities will not allow it. It's because Waymo takes years to be ready in each city.
Waymo is only in a few cities cuz that's where they've extensively mapped. The cybercab can literally drive on any road, only requiring permission to operate
@@Brentonlangaigne_93 The NTSB has been investigating Tesla for 5 years. At that rate, Tesla will never get permission.
@@Brentonlangaigne_93 Except that the cybercab doesn't work. No Tesla vehicle has driven even a mile without needing someone in the drivers seat ready to take over at any second.
