Well Done!! I am turning 70yrs old in 3 weeks and have been trying to learn guitar for the last year or so but having trouble as I have Parkinson's but I will be playing this tune on the night I got all I need from Joe, thanks so much
Wow man ur an inspiration to me coz I picked up the git at 48yr old and thought I too old to learn but...im 54 now and love learning git to my favourite songs...lets BOTH be young enuf4eva
What a great rendition and Lesson Joe . Really like the chord boxes too. Once my back is a bit stronger I’ll be trying this one out. Always loved this song. Eddie
Couldn't agree more Joe about putting the song and chords down on paper, i also hi-lite the verse and chorus in different colours and spend around half an hour on it but the pay back is i remember the chords and can usually play it from memory after the 3rd pass. You get out what put in. Great lesson by the way.
I dont know how I got to your channel but I love hearing people from all over the globe. I'm living over in Norhhern Michigan,USA. I take it your over across the pond. Thanks for a little more rythm in my life.Fascinated with Space songs since Iz a child, like EltonsRocket Man.
Hi Ken and thank you very much for taking the time to comment, great to hear from you. Yes I am from across the pond. Glad you enjoyed the lesson all the very best
Hey Joe! Here again... greetings from Tokyo. Unnecessary talking makes other guitar class rooms a waste of time. I don’t know if that is what you trying to do, but I found clever to divide your lesson in a way that more experienced players can catch it in a quickly way without having to go trough the “middle finger in the second string, third fret” lol, and then the next part you explaining in details for the beginners. Good job Joe!
Thanks for taking the time to comment, Kev. Glad you enjoyed the video. just in case you are interested i have a patreon page where i have lots of exclusive content. here is link www.patreon.com/joesguitarlessons
Joe,don't know who wrote that song, but it's genius,I've checked out much more tougher chords to finger, but you make it simple, your voice sounds more like Bowies also, thanks for the voyage
Joe I watch a lot of UA-cam guitar lessons. Your acoustic tone is right at the top of the online lessons. What is the make and model of this particular Martin? Is it different than your OOO28? You also have a most pleasant manner and way of laying things out. Thank you!

Hi Joe, I've become a patron recently. Good stuff! I have noticed you tend to advice people to find their own strumming style and patterns, and I understand that. At the same time: With strumming being my weaker side (maybe my main obstacle to ever leaving beginner status in the past 40 years:) I'd really appreciate to get to kinda know and learn the strumming patterns you use with a song. As a start. Maybe for being able to say I can do what the pro is doing:) - kind os a safety measure. Then I can take it from there. wherever.
Hey Buts, sorry for delay getting back to you. Really busy at the mo. Yeh I have started doing a little more on the right hand technique. My only concern with this is that, some folks then become very dependent on it and never develop their ears to hear better. All that being said I will certainly bear this in mind. Please feel free to message me over at patreon as I always get back to folks there sooner rather than later. All the best.
I like very much the way you break it down, I wish I could play the F and Fm at 12:44 the way you do it and make it sound good, having problem making the first string sound good.
At 1:22 instead of this long silence I do prefer do a spécial riff going up from 1st fret to the last one on the B and e strings in order to try to sound close to the launch sound of the original studio version 😉
Having the chord pics in the upper right corner is golden!
Glad it helped you 👍
