@@GuitarAtWork I am! You are truly adding so much value to my life and hobby. I’m telling all my friends about your channel!! Check out “no hard feelings” by Avett brothers. Beautiful song! I’ve got it all down except for the strumming lol. After watching you, I understand I need to PRACTICE not play
Awesome work as usual Shane. That instrumental breakdown at the end is second to none. You always break it down to look so easy. Sign of a expert. Thank you for sharing.
A big thank you Cap - it really helps to hear that when you first upload something - hard to know how people will react to each video - so - Thank you!!!
Love, your stuff Shane. However, you've flipped the 2 intro chords here. The Fmaj7 is actually first and the Em7 is second. Also the Fmaj7 is played adding the C bass note, A string third fret, while also playing the low E and letting them all ring out. I just picked that out a few months ago and have been playing it for decades, so no worries man, keep up the great work....
Great song one of my favourites. Just wondered if you could do a full song run through after the breakdowns that would be great please 👍🏼 thanks though keep up the good work for all us beginners 👏🏼
just learned this song and then came hear. all good but. I am weary of the absolute. This because there is only one Bowie who was not nesessarily one to follow rules. For example I chose a regular D as opposed to D7/F# . the latter is most harmonic but if you sing you can take the ear where it needs to go. As well I like to think of the moveable chords with open ringing notes which is what you can see Bowie do when he was known to play along. lastly , you can play for the camp fire or the fully coloured stage . ‘far above the moon … ‘
With the intro being that Fmaj7...Bowie still plays the lower E open. When the lyrics start, it's C/G...the bass notes make a difference: C/G ..Em...Am...Am/G...D/F#...try it...it sounds better.
Man I'm digging you lessons the songs and everything and am planning on a patron membership. I like your training style. You also have a great radio voice. However, the work sheet is confusing concerning the rhythm. The d u d dd d u d dd doesn't reflect what your are speaking... or am I just confused?
Thank you Zande - I hope you're having fun with it. Just do the strum exactly as I describe it in the video or on the sheet and you're golden. Cheers, Shane
May I ask what your Taylor is? Is it a 1 2 or 3 series? I am looking to upgrade to a Taylor and I like the sound of yours. By the way love your channel thank you very much for sll the effort you put in.
Thank you Ken! That''s a two year old 814CE plugged straight in - It's only the Taylor Expression system you're really hearing -except for a bit of leak from my lapel mic. I'm super glad you are enjoying the channel - means a lot to hear that!! Shane
Hi Jerome - Ha! I wish I had some more mugs....I had them made about 20 years ago and only have two of them now - I used to give them away as prizes at group classes. Cheers! Shane
I just can’t believe this guy. What an amazing teacher. When I go over his videos, I’m 10x quicker at learning than any other teacher I’ve had
A big thank you Jesse - much appreciated and I hope you're having fun with it! Shane

Great lesson! Super clear and I appreciate the clarity on how you handle strumming in the various parts.
Thanks Paul - really appreciate your comment and very glad you are enjoying it!

Awesome. One of the best teachers on the web! I appreciate all you do. Cheers.
Thank you Kurt - what a great way to start my day seeing your comment - much appreciated!
Shane
Another great video, all your videos are perfect and at the right pace for me. Can you do a video on the amp and effects you use like chorus etc.
Well done Shane, as usual. Try a Bbmaj7 instead of the too bright Bb, sounds more in line with the tune.
True👍
Love watching your guitar lessons .
Thanks Richard - really happy to hear that!
Shane
Thanks Shane... Will give that one a good workout this weekend! 😀
Thanks Rob! Always fun!

Great suggestion Phil - thanks!
Shane
You mention the strum pattern being at the bottom of page 1. I do not see it there. Love your work!
Sorry Real Robillard - and thanks for that. There is a separate sheet entirely with the strumming pattern. Hope you found it. Cheers,
Shane
Great tutorial! I was wondering about the strumming pattern of the Fminor and C in the chorus. Should they also follow the BUDU pattern?
You are great, thank you for your videos.
Thank you Heathen - very glad you are enjoying and happy to have you with us!
Shane
Great as always man ...Thank you
Thank you Paul - always appreciated!

I getcha Dean. Those are very reasonable compromises until you really feel you’ve nailed it. Cheers, Shane

He plays an f shape whit low e and high e open
And he plays c with 3rd fret on low e string
you are a great teacher. Do you have "Wildfire" in your repertoire?

the pdf is different, in video he says :" D UD UU D DUDU " and in pdf : "D U D DD"

Where can we get the merch Shane? I want my own Guitar at Work coffee mug!
Hi Jerome - Ha! I wish I had some more mugs....I had them made about 20 years ago and only have two of them now - I used to give them away as prizes at group classes.
Cheers! Shane
the strumming is more difficult than the chords...
That's often the case - hope you're doing well with it. Glad to have you here with us!
Shane
The intro to Space Oddity is C to Em. Not what is shown on this video...
Fmaj7 to Em for the intro then C to Em for the verse. Sorry to break it to you.
@@scorpiorising3741 em7 actually
No you're wrong
You talk so fast its hard to follow
Stop and rewind - Cheers!
Shane
play more, can't judge your work with two chords. do you have something to hide?
Bla bla bla bla bla ........🤪
