The best guide on this I've seen. Thanks for your time and research, because I'm at level 7, and still struggling with the Cultivator bow. I've got some ideas now.
I was able to use the war bow 3 at level 3 so I’m not sure where the “levels” are coming from in this guide. I followed a different guide and it involved drinking Elex drinks, but I was still level 3 and wasn’t too cold all things considered. All I was looking for here was tips on unlocking the different ammo types, like scattershot, because it’s not intuitive from the game
The premise of this video is misleading, it's not a choice between Cultivator, Hunter or War Bow. It's a choice between using a bow or a different ranged weapon. If you decide to go with bows you just take whichever bow you can equip based on your attributes than upgrade to the next one whenever you can. As you said, going with dexterity and intelligence early on is very powerful, for animal trophy, ranged weapons and other skills that are incredibly useful early on. That's why weapons like the Cultivator Bow exist, to allow you the flexibility to use a less than optimal weapon in your class that's still good enough to use with lower attributes. So you can still go with dexterity and intelligence with just the bare minimum of strength to allow you to equip your bow and prioritize these key skills first before upgrading your weapon. There's also nothing stopping you from beginning with a laser rifle as those use both dexterity and intelligence as their attributes, than switch to the War Bow when your attributes allow for it. Similarly there is no level requirement in this game for anything. I get what you were trying to say but Elex Drinks exist so that premise too is flawed. You can actually max out all of your attributes at level 1, it's incredibly tedious to do so and requires using the elexit glitch but it's very much possible. The point is levels don't actually mean anything in this game, they're simply a method of gaining attribute and skill points, alongside with Elex and Large Elex Drinks.
Interessting as soon as you join berserkes you have to learn the diffrent shots from caldrim although the phantom string gives you points for the ability to do scatter shot and homing arrow. May be a overflow of integer variables that gets negativ.

Thank you! Glad this is still helping people.

I remember creating a ranger type character, complete with scatter and seeker shot, camouflage and spirit wolf summon.

Cultivator bow II can be equipped at level 12. In the video I said 10... I made an error.
Very good guide, nice tips , tyvm!
Thanks for the awesome comment! Have a nice day!
nice guide, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well I would only use Warbow. you can get +10 ring +10 dex Amu at level 1. So there is posible to use Warbow 1 at level 13 not using any Elexpots.
Can somebody tell me where i can find War Bow III? I have all of them but just dont have War Bow III :/ Im sad :/ :D
2 years later... craft it yourself
I have on 14 lev warbow2 no exploid. Just take trofy sold all and buy elexit potion.
nice!
great game berserkers are badass
The weakness of bows in elex is that their shots don't knock-back enemies.
Yes but they do more damage to compensate... If anything their weakness is actually their rate of fire as you lack a magazine like gun based weapons.
