The Indian blanket sold at auction for $1.5 million
If I was this lucky to find something this valuable...I would definitely sell it to the highest bidder. 😅
"Starts thinking of yard sales going on around town" 😂
When I go to garage sales ,I go to older people's. They got the good stuff. I don't need a tv or a dvd player.
After hearing of the significance of the Navaj blanket, the gentleman decided to auction it to help preserve it. It was estimated to bring in $500,000 to $700,000. It sold for over $1,100,000!! The new owner has loaned it to a national museum.
These ppl must set up auctions for really expensive items after they leave show bc I would think the cost to insure them would be astronomical.
I never made a dime off of my old junk. Actually, it cost me a lot more than I'm willing to admit.
The father of a good friend of mine went from a steel factory worker in the 1960s to one if the foremost western art dealers in the world, self taught. In the 80s he bought a painting at a garage sale for 12 dollars and sold it the next day for 8,000.
He sounds unethical.
@@englishruraldoggynerd I would agree with you. When that happens, the original owner should be given at least 10 to 20% if someone made a few thousands off the person's ignorance.
After seeing this, I checked my attic and saw just dust and roaches. Now I have to spend money for exterminators :(
😂😂😂
😂
The guy with the rhino horn teacups did not have an asthma attack. He said; "I need an inhaler and I don't even have asthma" as a reaction to his given valuation.
Also, he wasn't a tourist in Africa who bought them on a whim. He bought them through antique dealers.
I suppose he needed another inhaler when China formally banned rhino horn imports and the price of such things dropped.
The jade collection, on the original Road Show, the owner said the pieces were originally purchased for around $5000.00, not the $20.00 stated in this video.
JT: That would make more sense. Most Chinese know the value of jade to be far more than $20!
Thanks for showing actual clips of the show....
I wonder how many previous owners are watching this and crying at the same time
Without seeing/hearing the owners reaction, kinda pointless.
kosamui it’s all of their videos. I finally unsubscribed!
Ikr, they're worse than watchmojo
No, I like the quick review. But I’ve seen most of these. Some I haven’t so I could always look up the episode.
No still fun !
#7 was a million... I cried watching that one
For it to be a roadshow! Do they even travel throughout the States? I never seen them anywhere?
But....on TV. Where do they sell this stuff at?
That's a lot of money?
Thanks for sharing!
Two things. I watch ARS a lot and happen to see quite a few of the items when they were appraised. The Diego paint was not in an office but was behind the door of a cabin in Mexico that the owner bought for a get away place, but it was behind the door for a while. The card table was part of a set of 8 pieces and this the only one known to be found (don't remember the maker) It was appraised by the twins from the show at 600K. In a later episode they told that the piece was sold at an auction for 825K. Overall a good video and I did like it.
Every time I hear this guys voice it's going to be painfully long winded
He must narrate for millions of utube channels
I agree, left immediately
his voice.. I managed lasted 5 seconds please tell him to stop
Me too. Ditched after first sentence. He drones on and on and says nothing.
I agree. The voice is at least sort of human, and with an incredibly annoying grating accent. As soon as I hear it, it's goodbye.
My son owns a resale shop of mostly vintage and antique stuff. He does well as hes been doing itfor 10 years and studied on the subjects. Still not a millionaire? Maybe one day!❤❤❤
The a Owl was in the UK and sold for £30,000 a bit more than $25,000
"People who made millions"
1. $620,000
It do not specify that it has to be in Dollars. Can convert it to other currencies and you'll end up in the "millions" on all of them.
Cigar $1000.
Thanks for sharing. Come find your rare or specialty antique treasures in Marion, KY!

1. The list should go from lowest value to highest.
2. The thousand dollar cigar didn't belong on the list.
LOVED IT.................
The painting in the thumbnail is by Fern Isabel Coppedge
I'll be right back, I have to run down to the Goodwill.
Very funny because goodwill online has got me two claude monets ( replicas of course ) but i keep looking !!!!!!!
I saw the lead in photo on this and got excited. My excitement was dashed when I found out that the items were presented by that annoying voice that goes along with stories that are “true” but none of the photos and film footage are of the real event. Although in this case, the footage is original, but that guys annoying voice and dialog, once again, kills it.
And I immediately give it a thumbs down and say bye!
Same reaction.
Thank you to the American Soldiers for all you do.
Oh please. Thank a nurse.
Honus Wagner card graded VG 3 is in "mint condition"....WoW !!!
Mint condition is 60 to 70.
@@Jack-ge1st No it's not. In PSA mint is 9, gem mint is 10. That is far from mint. You might be confused with coins.
Incredible how wrong this is , from circumstances of ownership to purchase prices to estimates , the federal table at the end was actually 250,000 dollars....
I need to win the lottery!
Theeat steeuff is veealuable! I wonder if the narrator is from Cheeceeogio?
The story behind Bonus Wagner isn't that there were so few made, after it came out, he asked for it to be pulled. He didn't want kids to associate him with tobacco. Because the card came with the purchase of tobacco
The card is also not mint as implied.
His name is Johannes Peter "Honus" Wagner, not Bonus.
I like that the background music is also in kids toys unboxing videos
Theeat stuff is veealuable!
**Starts digging through my junk....**
I love your voice.
Very nice find!❤️😁
I wouldn’t call an Alexander Calder mobile a “toy”!
4:13 Bill Murray! LOL.
I think that one-of-a-kind solid gold camera was owned by Thurston Howell III.
The t 206 Wagner card didn’t have a low print run. Honus didn’t support smoking so he had his card pulled making it more scarce than the other tobacco cards. Also it’s not mint, it’s a 3 VG
Yep
Calder described as a toy inventor -- SMH
Honus wagner card is far from mint condition!! PSA grades cards 1-10 and they show a graded 3 lol!!!
A slide show is not a video.
I love these channel
Not many of these people had these things in their attics. They were lucky enough to find and buy the from other people who had them in their attics who had no idea of their worth.
GREAT video!!!
YOU HAVE TO PAY TO BE ON ANTIQUE ROADSHOW, AND THEY DO NOT BUY YOUR SHIT, JUST BECAUSE SOME GUYS SAYS YOUR SHIT IS WORTH MONEY MEANS NOTHING
Number 4 is lovely
I have seen this painting before -- the guy keep it behind his bedroom door.
This was a sketchy video, jmho. I've seen the videos of the original items on ARS and the guy narrating this was waaay off on stories and prices. Waaay off.
Wow
What do you do if you have something that I believe no one has? I have a few things like this. I have a large Italian music box. It is very heavy with a large crank brass arm. It plays about 12 songs. Beautiful but where does it go?
He just makes it harder for the rest .
It's not an "ewt" chief it's pronounced "Yuut." (Ute Indian Tribe. Utah was named after them.)
stolen no doubt
this video is useless without seeing the owners reaction when told the estimated value
do you ever post original content? seems like all your videos are compilations of other peoples work.
'Most people'... what? I've never before seen a video on UA-cam where the non-likes are so high in comparison to the likes...
This guys voice is on so many channels
The painting in the thumbnail wasn't featured? it look to me to be from the Artist John F.Carlson.
Don't bother. Just photos, no videos from the show.
I love buying Vintage, just don't know how to get it valued
I had danny devito's cigar, does that count? Lol. And 7 autographs by bob marley 8 months before he passed.
The rhino horn cups plummeted in value and some even failed to sell at auction. It seems the market for items made from practically extinct animals has rapidly declined, even with Chinese buyers.
I'm not sure
Hello how are you doing E. O. C
His voice is unpleasant and he draws it ooooooouuuuuuuuutttttttt
Yes very nice
I have a small milk jug I found in a old house buried under a floor board its made of a heavy metal and opens, glass covering both side with slides and stuff I guess what they made the cowchow with, still haven't found one like it online and everyone I ask say they have no idea what it it.
Probably the Holy Grail. Aim high!
Kimberly Hunter Ooooo..thats going to be interesting finding out what it is. I hope it's worth a crazy amount of money too 🤗
Nikki D me too, but I have asked so many people, I have even went to old Milk farmer, and still nobody has ever seen one!!
Well, maybe it’s not a milk jug.
Ijustcamehere Ijustcamehere True. It's sounds really fascinating. Very complex for a milk jug, for sure. Whatever it is, I so hope it's worth a sick amount of cash for her. I love those 'Good luck' endings
This channel will soon have 222.222 subscribers... It has now 222.220.
Can you explain the title to me? Asking for a friend.
… at those prices they could get new one's
time to auction that autographed BIBLE
Hugh Hefner made the most money off his old junk. ;-)
You made my day--LMAO
bahahahaha!!!
Yoooooo
You wild for that one
ha ha ha ha!!! That's the comment of the day for me! LOL
I have a Remington Typewriter 1953 Quiet typewriter.
didnt know that 620000 dollars are a million.
Wow. Wagner info totally bogus. VG is not "mint" Not one of the earliest cards. They had cards from as early as 1860 and these cards are actually on this video. Great editing Einsteins.
The woman w/the table found it at the back of a shop...NOT @ a yard sale....and SOLD it for something like $450,000! (There was NOTHING mentioned of 600,000!!! Geezzz) The buyers price w/buyers premium...was about 541,000
That's great
What about the conquistadors helmet that was valued at $500,000? Where is that?
Most of these prices are overblown and pre- 2008 Great Recession. Antique furniture is now a dog on the market, art and artists go in and out of style and that affects the value as well.
Sidney Frederickson Not a Van Dyke. Old masters keep their value, and that watch has apparently doubled in price.
Yard sales have better odds than the lottery, sometimes.
nice content squeezed into 7 minutes
"Thankfully this ones in mint condition" me looking at the the PSA "Very Good 3" which is pretty far from mint?
How can anyone listen to that voice for more than 3 seconds.
The camera model is Luxus. The brand name is Leica.
Best camera's by far.
Yep! Cool huh.
O
I have an original Norman Rockwell. Need help to authenticate.
You guys realize when they go on antiques roadshow they don’t sell the item right then and there, it’s only an appraisal, not the price the item actually sold for at auction (if they even decided to put it up to auction)
Alexander Calder's *toy* mobile???
First: I watched this whole thing because of the painting in the thumbnail icon, which of course, isn’t anywhere in the video! Second: The “Navajo” Ute blanket was mispronounced. Ute isn’t pronounced “Oot”! It’s pronounced, “yute”. The Utes are a Native American tribe.
Okay it’s valuable
Now try finding a buyer
Does anyone know the painting of the village and bridge, in snow, on the intro picture? Please.
It's a paint-by-number piece that Grumpy Dumpster made while hiding in his bunker...I think Putin helped him paint it.....😉
"Some people who made millions from their antiques on ‘Antiques Roadshow’
Millions? None of these items were worth 'millions'.
What about number 6 at 1.5 million?
Number 19 wasn’t the red Sox, it was the Phillies. Just saying
I wonder what Clinton's cigar is worth? I'm asking for a friend.
That Honus Wagner was nowhere near Mint. Lol it got graded a 3 which is pretty far from a 10 which would be considered mint. It's no even close! But a card like that doesnt have to be mint to be very valuable.
Anyone can put a price on something , getting it is another thing .
‘People who made millions...’
The poster must have worked for the porn industry in VHS package designing, otherwise the misleading information wouldn’t be there.
There’s sooo many more that aren’t on this list !!!
i have a 1812 musket was found in battle field in the civil war
I have some very old beads that I would like to have appraised
the blanket was like 4k
