My wife bought a bracelet from a garage sale for $25, she gave it to our daughter for a birthday present, our daughter had it appraised and it turns out that the bracelet was worth $12,000. It was a bracelet made in Germany in WWII that the German soldiers made for their mothers as something to remember them by due to the chance that they might not return from war and that there were only about a dozen or so of these bracelets in excistance so you never know what you will find at a flea market or garage sale

woof...same! Also, $800,000 does not a "millionaire" make 🙄
I’m 10 years in, and was wondering when he will end…looks like I have a long time
My business partner dated a girl who came from a poor background, had a massive emerald ring that she inherited from her grandmother, and she wore it for years thinking it was glass. He on the other hand had learned to identify gemstones and after taking a good look at it he told her "honey, that is a real emerald and worth upwards of $10,000."
@notfiveo Not the moral, exactly, but ALWAYS, ALWAYS have ANYTHING you want to buy from friend or ANYONE ELSE appraised FIRST.
Longest story short, lady bought a $13 ring and wore it for 30 years without knowing it was a real diamond ring worth $850,000 sold at an auction. Just saved you 7:38 minutes of your life!

I do think it's sweet that she bought it to make herself happy and as a reminder to be positive that she would be ok and the ring was just waiting for her to discover that it was really there to make things better and ok!
Yes! I did buy it at a boutique,I loved thrift store shopping!! The ring was mine!!
850,000 is definitely a LOT of money, but doesn’t make someone a millionaire.
Close enough for me..
It will of you go to a country where your money is valued more.
If you invest it right or use it as capital for a buisness venture, it can make you much more then a millionaire, 850,000 Is more then enough to make you a future billonaire, it just takes Vision, research & patience, & a little effort, but 850k is a great launching pad to much much more, if you don't get impulsive & waste it. But even if you didn't invest it, 850k could last you a life time, if you are frugal & practical with it. Just don't let the money go to your head & be a fool, instead, use your head to manage the money & make it work for you, or you will be right back to square 1.... & again you will be "working for your money" - have a blessed & prosperous lifer to all who read this :-)

My wife had a beautiful one K diamond ring. We were fishing from a boat in a large deep lake in CA when she took it off, because It was catching on her fishing reel. She accidentally dropped it into the water! Five years later, I was cutting up a fish that I had caught in that same lake, when suddenly, my knife struck something hard. It was the bone in my thumb.
Wow what a coincidence!! Sorry, dear :-(. My mom had a real diamond that I now have, but I have all her old Avon jewelry and old watches she never got new batteries for as well. Money's not nearly as valuable as memories.
When my grandmother passed, to some of the family's great annoyance, she left me all her jewelry. Some pieces were from the 1920's and were worth a bit of money, but like another commenter said, money's not nearly as valuable as memories. A couple pieces I wear, namely her antique cameo and a pair of opal earrings, but the rest is locked up in my safe.
Yes whether it's worth pennies or hundreds if it was my grandmother's then I don't care it's mine forever because it means something to me.
Before my Grandmother passed away, she asked me what I would like of hers after she was gone and I replied, NaNa, May I Please have Your MaMa’s Beautiful costume jewelry necklace and she had such a funny look on her face when I asked her for that one piece & she said, Mija, why that one & I said, Because it’s was Your MaMa’s & my Great grandmother’s and it’s Lovely. Well she came to tell me also when I asked for that Specific necklace she said it was already 80 Years old when I first wore it back on December 18th, 2002 & now 20 years later, it’s 100 years old. I’ve had Many of people come up to me and ask me where I got my necklace, because they had never seen it’s style and Beauty before & I tell them that it was my Great Grandmother’s Poor girls diamonds 😁🥰😁🥰😁🥰😁🥰😁 I Miss You NaNa 😞😞😞😞

Something happened to me in a thrift store finding a platinum & gold cigar band ring laced in rubies & diamonds, I paid $12- for it and brought it to my friend who specialized in antique jewelry . .she told me it was from the 1920’s, has a 6.0 gram weight . ..I was disbelieving her but these flea markets or thrift stores have got buried treasures . .✨ . .the ring was valued at $ 2500-

I once went to a flea market. Fortunate for me and you could imagine my surprise the gold gleam was actually my car keys had fallen from my jacket. Apparently a hole had been worn in my jacket pocket. This jacket was 100% genuine cow leather and had been given to me by my grandfather whom I had always loved dearly. He was a kind old man who had a hearty laugh. One day he laughed so hard it put him in the hospital, strangely the hospital was very near where I got the flat tire. I thought to myself what a strange set of coincidences. Of course my grandfather is home now, he loves to sit by the fire, especially on a rainy day. Crimey, I wish it would stop raining. Oh yeah where was I? Mud was everywhere...

I agree. She wasn't ever a millionaire. But she could be, if she converted to, say, pesos. ;>
Yup. Just a thousandaire...
I had an ugly gold cheap looking ring. My uncle gave it to me with some other costume jewelry. I had all my rings in a small bag so i took that bag one day to the pawnshop with intentions of getting a small loan on one to pay a bill. The jewelry appraiser was super interested in that ugly gold ring, come to find out it was solid 18kt gold and a 3kt diamond which he said was one of the clearest diamond he had ever seen, he bought it right then and there for $10,500. To think i had almost thrown it away a few times.... I was so thankful i hadn't.
You were cheated, of course; if he OFFERED you a sum of money, it was worth several times more, that's the way these places operate!! You should have had it appraised, dummy! Well, that's why he's rich and you're not!
@@andyandy5749 haha fuck off
@@cherylpemberton1676 I know I did not get what what it was worth had I taken it to a jewelry store I probably would have but I was at a pawn shop and they never give you what it's worth
