They were supporting the euthanasia tour. Of all the Megadeth drummers over the years with the exception of maybe Steve Adler who technically wasn’t really a part of the band no one came close.
In my opinion,Nick Menzas's drumming just fit better with Dave and Marty's guitar and Dave.E bass ,I'm mean simply listen to tornado of souls, symphony of destruction,train of consequences,there are so many more I'm just picking a few, there have been many drummer's that came after that played the parts and did them justice but to have came up with those beats plus playing them with the perfect sounds for the songs well that is the definition of a professional musician

At the end of the day you can still love and listen to a band, but they might not be your favorite band to listen to anymore. While i have always been more of a Dave guy myself, i'm sorry, i love Kirk's playing on those two. And the songs on them are perfect. The first four albums by both of these bands ARE metal at it's best. So, if i could go back in time, i would actually buy Dave extra rounds and say "Drink up buddy, it's all for the best!"

Mid-2000's, Mustaine was on a book tour for his biography. They didn't allow people to take pictures with him but he did sign books at least. I waited in line 10 or so people at a Barnes and Noble to get the new book signed and gave him an honest compliment: that I probably listened to Countdown to Extinction about 100 times in middle school. Metallica was very young when they kicked Dave out and they probably didn't have the empathy at that age and knowledge of what addiction was back then. It seems Dave will never get over not playing with his best friends and being part of one of the greatest bands of all time. He has an intense personality and is a songwriter in his own right so he probably would have left eventually anyway.
+C.G.E. To be fair Lars actually did have good taste in music, he was probably the reason they heard a lot of european metal at the time like Diamond Head and Merciful Fate, and he is a Deep Purple nut. Problem was is that he didn't have the talent to match them.

And, of course, another way we could say it is, Ride the Lightning and Master probably would not have sounded the same at all. While i have always been more of a Dave guy myself, i'm sorry, i love Kirk's playing on those two. And the songs on them are perfect.
The first four albums by both of these bands ARE metal at it's best. So, if i could go back in time, i would actually buy Dave extra rounds and say "Drink up buddy, it's all for the best!"
One time Dave said that there were "too many cooks in the kitchen" in those early days of Metallica and he wasn't sure it would have ever worked out. I'm glad they went their separate ways because those two bands were the soundtrack of my childhood and teen years.

Metallica was very young when they kicked Dave out and they probably didn't have the empathy at that age and knowledge of what addiction was back then.
It seems Dave will never get over not playing with his best friends and being part of one of the greatest bands of all time.
He has an intense personality and is a songwriter in his own right so he probably would have left eventually anyway.
It's not even about empathy, they are totally fucked up in their head, Dave told in interview all the fucked up shit they use to do.

+C.G.E. To be fair Lars actually did have good taste in music, he was probably the reason they heard a lot of european metal at the time like Diamond Head and Merciful Fate, and he is a Deep Purple nut. Problem was is that he didn't have the talent to match them.

Lars has always been pretty gracious to Megadeth (well except for an interview I just watched that he brushed off Dave's contributions but that was like from 1985), I remember him saying one of his favorite albums from 1986 was Peace Sells. I don't think James had the same praise for Dave then or now
