Marvin Bravo What I mean is that I believe it's not necessary for one to have tattoos to be in a Heavy Metal band. It's often a misconception for musicians to have permanent inks etched to their skin to be in a band like Megadeth but in Dave Mustaine's case, it's not, and I think he sets a good example for that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning tattoos or anything like that. This is just my own personal observation for someone who is a fan of Metal music.

Mustaine had just come out with his autobiography so we went to a book signing/meet and greet before the show. Meant a lot to me at the time.

No desrespect to Scott Ion I love Anthrax, but Scott Ion Follows Metal trends. He started to get tattoos back in 95 when all the other metal heads did. It will always be 10x cooler to stand agenst trends then to follow them. This is why Dave will always be more of a badass then Scott Ion.

Dave actually recently said that he won't play The Conjuring live anymore because apparently the lyrics have instructions for black magic, if you read the lyrics it sounds like its describing a deal with the devil "I am the devils advocate, a salesman if you will, you know my name, you know my name" and "Come join me in my infernal depths, mephisto's hall of fame, I've got your soul, I've got your soul" weird, "Mephisto" is actually the name for the devil in the play faust, and "Hall of Fame"? maybe meaning the rock hall of fame? People who sold their souls? "I am the devils advocate, a salesman if you will"? maybe meaning he works for the devil by selling megadeths music.. maybe Dave Mustaine made a deal with the devil, so he could be famous? look this stuff up, its pretty weird.
@explosivoification Maiden , Slayer , Anthrax and Megadeth were my 1st introduction too metal. I'd heard of Metallica around the same time but only got into them when Master Of Puppets was released. Sepultura was another great band. Never cared for anything after Choas A.D. though. Especially when Max left to do soulfly.
I may not always agree with what Dave says or believes... But the man always has some kind of reasoning behind his statements. And whether I agree or not, I always enjoy listening to what he has to say. Much respect. He's pretty decent at squeezing some sound out of a git-fiddle too.

I met Dave back in 94 and when I went to shake his hand he broke all of my fingers and choke slammed me into the drum set.
