One thing I love about this song is how it starts out like someone talking to Vash, like its pretty ambiguous, then you can hear the tonal change where it sounds like Vash is responding to the ambiguous singer calling to Vash. Then you can hear distinctly when Knives starts singing, and then the distinction where Vash sings back. Its very distinct, I love the multiple viewpoints

I watched a good half of the Original Trigun a few months ago, and just finished Stampede last night, so I can recall almost all of the references in this. Great music as per usual!
Quick Trigun plot synopsis for anyone whose confused by the references (spoilers): Trigun sees main character Vash chasing his brother Knives (blue background) across a desert planet that humans are trapped on because Knives crashed a fleet of colony ships to prove a point about human evil to Vash. He and vash are Plants, which are basically angels (don't ask) that act as power, food and water generators, and are pretty much the only reason humans even still exist. Knives thinks humans are evil and stupid and wants to see them extinct, as the Plants have been dying due to overuse (which wouldn't be a problem if he didn't strand everyone in the desert in the first place). Vash embodies the good of mankind, never taking a life (until the very end of the story when he has no other choice) even if it means recieving more and more scars. Vash teams up with the other three in this video (the girl with the derringers, the girl with the rotary gun, and the guy with the cross) to take down Knives, fighting through many bounty hunters and Knives' personal army (the reason Vash has a bounty is because the last time he fought Knives, he activated his Angel Arm and turned a city into a crater). Cross guy dies fighting the penultiment threat, overdosing on healing juice (again, don't ask). Vash then confronts Knives for the final time, and if you made it this far, go read the manga, it's a bit crazy but it's good.
Anyways, Here's the anime version: Same sh!t half way then changed, Cross guy died because he got shot this time (Also no healing juice), he was forced to kill mind controo man(The guy in the blue background), gets depressed, not anymore, fights his brother, but no brother death.
The part where he says “I’ll keep running I’ll keep running” weirdly makes me cry, but that’s probably because I have all the context from reading the manga 😢❤ this is beautiful!!

I just finished the 98 and 23 trigun and holy shit you are a lyrical genius
this song is so fucking good, it works well for both the OG Trigun & the modern one. the tune and lyrics fit so perfectly to the fun paced but darker undertone themes of the series.
Also if this is your 1st step getting into Nerdcore, i REALLY hope to see more from you Nerdcore is such a fun Genre of music especially with how many artist and styles there are here on UA-cam.

Millie Thomson has always been one of my favorite characters in all of anime, but Vash is a close second. He is tragic yes, but he has such a goofy personality. He really is the perfect representative of "The helper seeks to help because he knows what it is to be helpless."
