Vash and Wolfwood being my favorite part of Trigun for 8 minutes

- One of my favorite things about Trigun was watching these two goofballs being silly so I made a compilation of their tomfoolery. I enjoyed making this and I hope you enjoy watching it!
Minor spoilers ahead! Do yourself a favor and watch Trigun first, I really recommend it :)
Not a single brain cell between them. We love it
No brains but big hearts!
@@vcdarkin No brains, Vash is smarter than everyone besides his brother
Big hearts. Lol
There's a braincell, but it's shared between them lol
It takes a genius to act like the idiot savants they pretend to be 😂😂
Their two brain cells are fighting for 3rd place
Stampede has the highest iq out of anyone in the show and you call them idiots? They aren’t idiots they are just being silly it’s just your last brain cell couldn’t comprehend that
😂😂😂 i love this comment!!
Bold of you to assume that they have brain cells
I have a headcanon that all the names he has are actually from people thatve taken him in over the centuries and made them apart of his family 😢
BRO OH NO
Um...guys, it's not that deep. In the manga it's made more evident he's reading off names from the passenger's suitcases on the bus 😭
Notice how he glancing upwards the entire time when he reciting that long ass name LOL
he's so skrunkly
That would be very sentimental and sweet, but he was just looking up at the luggage at the top.
@@pixiepoppins5319 Look man, I agree with you that he's clearly making up the names or reading them off the luggage, but you're just blatantly lying about him doing that in the manga, because in the Manga he doesn't give a fake name, Wolfwood recognizes him immediately.
I swear so many people talk some mad shit about what "happens in the manga" without even reading the thing lmfao its free online bro, go read it! It's good!
I always imagined it was names of people he remembered we're in stasis way back in space, which is way the last names are so varied in language
Vash: "I got shot by the leader of the Bad Lads about 3 days ago"
Wolfwood: *skill issue*
I love the dynamic between Vash and Wolfwood, as much as I love the dynamic between Millie and Meryl…and Meryl and Vash….and Wolfwood and Millie….Those four are the perfect complimentary character square.
great way to put it. 10/10 comment
Tbh that would vash and Meryl and wolfwood and milly make awesome love octagon of TRIGUN lol😂😂
I agree... Polygun reigns supreme lol
They are a beautiful polycule

I love how Wolfwood snaps Vash’s neck to get a look at him

Love original trigun. Such a unique perspective on the pacifist hero archetype.
05:35 when wolf smacks vash and then got scolded by the doctor, the sequence of the action afterwards is just funny🤣🤣🤣

Greatest Bromance in all of anime
They’re so pathetic and fruity I love them OWO
These guys are like cousins during sleepovers that only start doing dumb shit together. 😂
Ok, now I really want to see these two go up against Team Rocket. The antics would rival Looney Tunes.
They seem to be closer as friends here than the reboot
Oh yes no doubt about that. Part of the reason I prefer the original actually lol
That's because they're giving Wolfwood character development lol
@@theeee_julesreally? Good cuz he better get really goofy soon. He's kinda edgy in the stampede version with all that edge he's gonna cut the comedy
@@Walter-vq3vm Yeah I think so too. However I still got hope since they already said they're gonna give Ww time to change. Also, Nightow the og mangaka is working with them I hope he has big plans for Wolfwood in Stampede

No braincells involved, I love them so much
In the Manga it explains that Wolfwood is practically invincible if he’s got his syrup
Ive only ever seen some official and fanart of Trigun. Didn't expect them to be so stupid but it's a very pleasant suprise lollllll
Love their friendship sm😭✨🖤
Compilation of Vash and Wolfwood sharing the same braincell for 8 minutes. 😂
Vash and Legato is IMHO the best philosophical display of an unmovable force meeting an unstoppable object. One of the greatest philosophical debates on screen. Both were right and as a result Vash grew and Legato moved on.
Edit: Wolfwood is my FAVORITE character in Trigun and I bring up Legato and Vash because of Wolfwood vs Rem's philosophy in echoing the struggle for Vash to understand vs Legato, that Wolfwood was 'mostly' right yet sometimes loopholes exist to a philosophy or ideology.
Rem was wrong philosophically, as implied when Vash throws off the red carnation colored garb as he carries Knives off, yet the fact that Knives is alive shows that sometimes Wolfwood's philosophy doesn't need to be applied.
WW was the big brother and true best friend Vashs ride or die❤ introducing WW really changed Vashs character and you can see how much more authentic he was able to become cuz WW was his safe place he was home for him. Vash didn’t have to hide or pretend or be embarrassed of himself he could just be and he wasn’t lonely anymore 🥺 by far one of the best duos in history
Love each and every interaction these guys have✨
Such loveable idiots, in a good way ofc
They’re exactly the same kind of crazy
they so goofy i love em
I love 98 for how much silliness it gave us for these two, especially after Trigun Maximum...😢
i just want you to know this video was in my professors youtube recommendations when he was pulling up a completely unrelated video for class 💀 it happened last month but it took me this long to find the video because i only saw the thumbnail
Trigun is absolutely beautiful
I wis the reboot explored the character relationships more instead of rushing through the story, Stampede felt really flat to me because of that. Great action but no depth whatsoever. The final episode was promising though so maybe it'll get better?
Tbh the action wasn't that great either, with a couple exceptions (mostly the couple hand to hand combat bits). But yeah, the characters lacked... Any character, only Knives got anything resembling existence, and the story and writing... Dear god! No natural interactions and dialogue between the characters too, like here, or the manga, no chemistry at all, like they're all alone, even when together.
@@mkzhero I usually don't respond to old comments or people hating on series because is something SUBJECTIVE, but since every comment I readed, have you almost call every person who likes the "new version" an alien with no taste, feel the need to point this. Storytelling is a creative activity, in creative things, there are no exact rules, because that will destroy the concept of creativity itself. A 150 years old plant who bears a terrible guilt complex can be like this Vash, or like the new one, more calm and serious, because he HAS A TRAUMA. Two approaches, and they work FINE, first one for a light and less realistic history, the second, for a more realistic one where characters live in a terrible, hostil environment and can't let go the past. Both desings are good, soundtracks too, animation too, storytelling too. If you don't like something, just don't call all the persons who like this "slop people", you're not the only one person who have a valid taste in anime :D
@@victoriadlande8198 Thinking up a costume for Halloween is also a creative process, but the equivalent for Tristamp would be that one guy who shows up with no costume at all as people like you insist on it being a great and original creative idea... No, its not fun, nor is it at all creative, that's just called being lazy.
Like, are you SERIOUS? First of all, there ARE absolutely formulas to go by for story and storytelling, visual presentation and camera angles. Loosely or tightly, but most of the best stories use them. The rare outliers where there's something entirely new and they worked are praised to no end, which is something Gainax where known for at the time, all the way back to evangelion and the famous elevator scene, among other things.
Also funny you'd think the original Vash wasn't traumatized... Nor that even if he wasn't, trauma makes for an entertaining watching experience when its the only defining character trait. That's aside the point that the whole storytelling aspect of the show is not just bad, but also extremely dated - exposition dumping, which is the show's MOST common theme was recognized as horrid writing for like a century now. That's on top of convenient writing, destroying all tension, mystery and sense of wonder which such info dumps continually destroy. This whole argument is basically that creating a car is a 'creative process', THEREFORE, the fact that there's no wheels, seats and an engine is not a problem at all!
@@victoriadlande8198 While I agree that this guy is a bit of an insufferable copelord, if your analysis of the original Trigun is a 'less realistic, more lighthearted' setting, you haven't really watched either show. I don't dislike Stampede, but it by no means is as existentially depressing as the worn-down visuals, rough characters, and story of vash's experience demonstrated in the original. If Vash is constantly laughing, that's because it's the only thing a man in his position has left when he's an immortal that everyone has to hate.
That being said, I'd like to see where stampede's vash goes too!
You don't find friendships like this often.
god i miss wolfwood’s va. i miss him so goddamn much.
The funny part is vash pretends to be stupid but he's as old as my family tree

Seeing those two together is just hilarious.
They are the anime versions of bill and ted. You cant change my mind.
Does anyone remember how in the episode where they're in the competition together (I think episode 10) at the end they basically hold hands for a second... It started as a handshake when they were saying for love and for peace and they just didn't !eh go when they were interrupted lmao

Why aren't the new Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Stampede like this???
Stampede Wolfwood is actually more accurate to the manga than 98 Wolfwood, the most accurate version of him is Trimax Wolfwood.

OMG YES😂😂😂😂 THIS IS SO TRUE
The trope remind me of Nobara and Yuuji lol
Wolfwood was more of a brother to Vash than his actual brother.
Milly was more of a brother to Vash than Knives, that's not saying much😅.
They are definitely soulmates. I've been reading manga for a while and I can tell it for sure
Hes willing to listen and try to atone for his sins knives would never listen or try to change
Spoilers:
Thats why when he is gone. I think vash probably never was the same. Still joking around but probably a lot more mellow
Wolfwood played the part of the brother has your back no matter what
Milly played the younger cheerful Sister who puts a smile on everyones face
Meryl is the tiny annoyed older Sister who is perpetually popping a vein next to the rest but secretly loves them very much
Thousand years old, and 20-ish years old, and not a single brain cell between the two of them.....
Vash is 130 years old, but you are right they share a brain cell
Quick Fact: Wolfwood's English VA is Jeff Nimoy....first cousin to legend Leonard Nimoy AKA Mr Spock
Yo no way thats so cool!
Whoa really?! That's awesome
As a Digimon fan, I knew that voice sounded familiar!
Weird that Wolfwood kinda looks like he could be related to Spock.
I kinda regret not watching Trigun when it first came out. This series seems really interesting.
It's one of my faves and has a special place in my heart. Definitely recommend both the original and the reboot, 'Trigun Stampede' ; they're both so good and I love them to pieces

0:40 Unable to believe Vash is The Stampede, proceeds to borderline snap his neck. Partially accepting the truth, he continues to disorient his vertebrae.
Yes, Vash being Vash surely is the most unbelievable part of this encounter, Wolfwood.
As ridiculous and idiotic as these two would behave, we can certainly examine Wolfwood knowing more than he lets up, at least in my perspective. I LOVED the mystery behind Wolfwood being a member of the Gung-Ho-Guns and even then, I believe he was posing as 'Chapel' his former master. So even Knives and his crew knew little about Wolfwood, yet he was KNOWN by Legato and the others and recognized as a member (This is also evidenced in one of the episodes where they ask where Chapel is). Furthermore, this implies that Wolfwood had been given the same task and order eventually, the Revelation of of the end of Gunsmoke paired with the need to eliminate Vash in order to destroy Gunsmoke and its people... Wolfwood MUST have had some sort of debriefing about Vash, maybe given a visual, or whatever... So I loved to think that Wolfwood knew that was indeed Vash but just played it off like he didn't, or at least was maybe 80 percent certain... their is brilliance in both the characters posing as idiots, and also, they were truly idiots at times lol! Its masterclass story telling. Its clear Wolfwood defected and, he even shot Rei-Dai the Blade in one of the episodes where Vash unleashes his Angel Arm, Rei-Dei being a member of the Gung Ho guns saw him after surviving it and did say, "You and I are..." After Wolfwood pulled a gun on him and shot him to death.
I’m glad you noticed no one ever noticed 😂 classic wacky antics it’s just so 90’s kinda sucks you don’t have much of this in most modern anime
This guys have more chemistry than pretty much every anime romance ever, and its not even a romance
I think the reason behind this is the fact that alot of romance whows have characters be interested and love each other for the sake of it. They don't explore the chemistry between the character's as just people/friends
@@JJ-oo9xiwow that is so true. canonical romance rarely explores the core friendship between lovers!! and it all comes off so .. BLAND! and empty. when in real life, that core best friendship bond is what makes a romance feel like some kind of epic cosmic destiny.
tho! i cant blame anyone for saying "wait.. vash and wolfwood aren't an anime romance?" tbh if you read them as a burgeoning love story I feel that & you're also cool.
Not with that attitude
@@KitKat_293 hell yeah man, I have to admit I mostly watch action adventure/ fighting anime but when I do watch slice of life/ romance it’s nice when things are fleshed out and there is an actual reason for the love taking place in the story.

"ITS A LONG STORY ALTHOUGH KIND OF A SHORT ONE" LMAOO I love WILDWOOD
As much as I love the new direction and tone of Stampede, it's hard to beat the original and it's hilarious writing sometimes
Eh? Stampede's pretty trash...
@NX3 I heard stampede was coming out and I was so hype, I saw the first episode and the utter lack of storytelling killed it, the visuals are amazing but it can't save shitty story writing.
@@derpykilla9373 worse than that, almost the entire episode is a nonstop, UNDISGUISED exposition dump! Like no kidding, pretty much all of it aside the duel. The rest of the show wasn't much better on that either... It's amazing what kind of slop people will lap up those days and call amazing and even greatest shit ever (although usually it's until the next shiny distraction comes along and that shit gets discarded under a rock where it belongs)
@@mkzhero it's sad too, if they just somewhat stuck to the pacing of the original anime it would have been 10x more watchable.

although I do prefer the remake, I feel like the bromance between wolfwood and vash was an essential part that made the original soo great
3:50 I love the fact that they're arguing with each other while shooting at one another 😂
The new show needed more of this. I know the tone is different, but Stampede could have used some character development before just going into the whole big showdown.
I like Stampede, but I do really like how this version builds to a tone shift much better. It makes it more devastating when you're attached and have a second to breathe.
They're so stupid, I love them
THIS IS what is missing from the Stempede series.
Tbh i think pretty much EVERYTHING is missing from Stampede. It also does the absolute worse thing for any story and drops exposition and info dumps into almost every conversation too, idk how anyone liked it or thought its a good idea
Everything that made Trigun great
EXAACTLY. I did really LOVE the production of the new stampede and where they took the story but it just.. lacks this great character dynamic. it needed more episodes to space out the story more and have more moments like this instead, this is the kind of thing that make a show lovable
@@koiyo303 they didn't take the story ANYWHERE lol... Also directing is included in production values, and it was horrendous, just like the story, character and camera work. The art was okay but the other stuff really ruins it completely
@@mkzhero eh, agree to disagree. As an artist the main reason i kept watching was bc the whole series was eye candy, i loved the crazy dynamic camera angles and the incredibly satisfying action, the expressions for cgi were really good too. Its just the entire time i kept finding myself asking "why is meryl and this guy even here? Theyre not contributing anything at all" and things would happen really randomly idk

Much like the broken character of Wolfwood, he was a sad soul and very broken inside, with so much pain and regret yet you could see he chose the path of the righteous in his last days, and what do you know?
