For PC, I used them for copy&paste and while holding the sniper button(g shift) I use them for volume up and down and side click mouse wheel for previous and next song/video. I also use them for gaming.
I use the button next to left click for grenades or melee but the one below it is pretty unusable (cant comfortably reach it without shifting hand) so I don't use it.
I hate lightweight mouses, it's like a car I want to feel my movements into the smallest details.. I feel with a lightweight mouse I am not in contact with the game sort of speak.
yes it can be ... different pepple likes different things ... for me as cable mouse its heavy but it needs to be because of cable and if with battery its even heavier ... and I like heavy cable mouses or v light wireles mouses :)
Same I am using the lightspeed 25k, My battery is finally going I am honestly thinking about keeping. I don't like the new G502 X Plus look. I had the infamous double click, and what did I do? I fixed it.
Everything you've said about this mouse just sounds like a personal problem. The only issues i've had with my g502 were the mouse feet and the scroll wheel whipping left and right cause i use low sensitivity, each of those things i can just turn off/swap out. It's a mouse, it isn't that heavy lmao. The buttons are also reprogrammable so all those DPI buttons don't have to be DPI buttons. Cable has also never been an issue, your setup is probably just bad - i don't even use a cable bungee
@@FlamencoDeniz there's no such thing as an objectively good mouse unless you only compare the sensors. Every bad thing he's said about it are all personal issues lol. The point is that it just seems like the video is just full of meaningless complaints
@@TerribleGamesTV2 "there is no objectively good mouse that's why you should listen to my subjective opinion which is not as meaningless as someone else's..."

The weight is pretty helpful for people with slightly shaky grip or similar issues. Lighter mice have been problematic for me in the past just because of how easily I could knock myself out of alignment for a shot. Otherwise solid review, the braided cable version is better.
@@robertojustus8567 Yes, and it's not something I can fix about myself, so I use a heavier mouse to mitigate the issue, just like if have bad eyesight you use glasses.
Same here i usually find lighter mouse to be kinda weird to handle and the shaky feeling is relatable. This mouse feels right while playing games or even doing anything.
Same, just recently got this mouse and it improved my aim because of not only I can properly palm grip now, but also how heavier it is making my aim more stable compared to my previous mouse (G300s).
That is exactly why the weights are designed for. Example for me, after hitting the gym, my FPS accuracy drops a lot due to shaking. I install the weights then my shakiness goes away. The next day when I wake up, the mouse feels heavy, to which I then now pop out the additional weights. pretty convenient if u ask me.
Lmao what? And i wouldnt trust someone who is actually good? Why is it that the general population is so brainrot, and that no good, top players use this mouse? Do you not understand that there is an OBVIOUS reason as why this isnt used in real competitive fps? Which was his point.
I feel like this would've been the best mouse for me if it didn't have rubber on the right side. Does that annoy you at all (I've been considering this mouse for quite a while now not sure if I should get it over Glorious model I or viper mini which I haven't tested)
Weight is really a personal pref. Low weight mice is a more recent thing in the last 5 years or so and I've noticed that it came about the same time companies started to make quality soft mouse pads. However, soft pads usually have more friction than hard pads so I've always felt there was a correlation. I've always said a good low friction mouse pad negates any weight issues of a heavier mouse.
I think the real problem is the G502 is 10 years old. It's comparatively ancient technology and lacks innovation. And people are still thinking it's the best mouse because it sits at the top of most popular mouse lists. I.E people thinking they're buying new mice are actually buying really old mice, and then coming here defending their purchase.
@@D4rkstorn The G502 has been refreshed several times. Today's modern G502 is quite up to date for people who like that model. It'll only be 10 years old if you hunt down the original "Proteus Core" but I doubt people are doing that. The oldest version people might get is the wired G502 HERO (as seen in the video) which still works well and is cheap.
@@dtester I am quite aware that it's been refreshed: The problem is that the most popular version IS the G502 hero, still. That is NOT 10 years old, true: The Proteus Core is. The Proteus Spectrum is about 8 years old and has the same externals and internals, but with RGB. And the G502 Hero is a refresh of that: It's still mostly the same exact mouse, using the same exact shells, but with a major difference: They downgraded the sensor to a cheaper one. So yeah, it's still a 10-year-old mouse, "refreshed". I'd argue the real refreshes, the G502X are in fact a new mouse with the same shape, but NOT using the same shell. And massively upgraded internals. The only issue i'd personally have with that one is the shape and yes, the weight. But people ARE still buying the G502 Hero: Which while physically not 10-years-old, is a 10-year-old design. That they did because the G502's previous versions were ALSO the most popular mice of their time.
@@dtester There are many different Hero sensors: All of them different PixArt sensors. They occasionally upgrade these without changing the model itself: if you buy a new G305, it'll have a different sensor than the first batch. The first G502 Hero had the same sensor as the first batch G305 which i believe is equivalent to the 3335 which has a higher lift-off distance and some issues with flicks at very low sensitivities. I haven't paid attention as to whether they have stealth changed it on the G502 since: But the original release was a downgrade compared to the 3360.
Big brain idea: workout only your right arm, 3 days a week. By the time a flagship mouse like this comes down to 60g, you'll be a man, who don't need it
I use G502 and G305. The G502 is a VERY good mouse for productive use and games that don't aren't focused on aiming skills. The extra butons are very useful for web browsing and productive work. On my mouse, the sideways scrollwheel clicks are the back and forward buttons. The thumb side buttons are copy, paste and enter. The side buttons of left click are undo and redo. The G305 is used for fps games and for portability. It's a great mouse for laptops and it turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity. But it turns on immediately if you move it, so it's seamless. The stock battery lasted more than 3 months of exclusive use (only started using G502 recently) and you can easily squeeze out 1 month of battery life out of a AAA battery. The stock feet are a bit annoying, as they have a small surface area, and can sort of dig into the mouse pad, increasing the friction resistance. Using a fingertip grip has fixed this issue. Overall, G502 is an extremely good mouse for productivity and games that aren't competitive fps's.
@@Nig6tWalker Well, people typically ask that before buying the mouse but just like the user you replied to, I'd say it's a great productivity mouse and for non-FPS games. FPS games benefit from lower weight, lack of cables, and typically good mouse feet for nice control. The G502 is fine for casual and non-FPS games but you'll lower your own skill ceiling by using a mouse that heavy in FPS games: A low sensitivity is advantageous in FPS games and a heavy mouse will make that difficult / very tiring. Not to appeal to authority, but no competitive-level player uses the G502, and 99% of people use normal layout mice with no extra buttons. Though to be fair, if you play competitive COD then you won't even be using a mouse at all, but a controller.
This is literally the best mouse i ever owned, as a warthunder air main having 11 buttons on it with very comfortable layout is just incredible, its also very very useful when editing cause you can just map so many settings to it
the mouse that starts doubleclicking after a month and tripple clicking after two in half a years the digusting rubber starts to deteriorate and that when you don't give it to greasy gamurbois with lube who never wash their hands ever
I tried a razer viper ultimate for about a year, and besides it being too small for my hands, it was also too light. Once it killed itself in 6 months (thanks razor) I grabbed one of these. It’s everything I want in a mouse, solid build, extra buttons but not so many that you can’t keep track of them, heavy so I can actually feel my mouse, and large enough where my hand isn’t just on the mousepad the whole time. It may not be for everyone, but this trend towards lower weight is just that: a trend. In reality some people like heavier mice and some like lighter. I personally run mine with all the weights in so it’s about 140g, and I love it. It also keeps my from using my wrist for aim, which in my case is relevant since I have had carpal tunnel before and don’t want to risk it again. The 502 is a great mouse, with its largest downside being it’s driver software. It doesn’t match the trend of gaming mice right now, but I’d rather see more options than everyone trying to make the same thing. Variety is good for the customer.
I used this mouse for about a year now and it has been the best mouse I have had over the past 30 years. It didn't survive a plunge into a glass of water but that was to be expected.
The problem isn't the mouse or its weight, it's your grip. Palm grip requires you to move your wrist way more than fingertip grip where you just move the mouse under your hand by moving your fingers. It also extremely easy to make small movements that way. The actual problem with the mouse is that the rubber grip for your thumb wears down after 3-4 years down to the bare plastic and the scroll wheel notches smooth down to a point where your finger slips over it.
@@_MintArcade Are there any good mouse which doesnt have this problem? Or can you replace the rubber with something else? If this problem wouldn't exist you would never had to buy new mouse...
@@ecco512 You can buy grip tape and put it over the rubber bits so that you don't wear them down. Then you can switch out the grip tape every 5 months or so (or whenever it wears down). I did this after my g502 wore down. I just filled in the holes with some silicon filler and slapped some grips on. I've been using it this way for like 2 years now. I have a video about it on my channel if you are interested in seeing the process.
Not everyone has the same priorities as you. Not everyone is a competitive FPS player and needs an ultralight mouse with only the most basic features. The G502 isn't bad. It just isn't the mouse for you.
Plus 90% of the time i use this mouse for everything outside of gaming. I love all the buttons but i do wish it was lighter, the index finger click itself was much lighter and the mouse slid a little more easily but i recognises i do want a certain amount of grip to help with aiming.
The G502 is amazing in terms of ergonomics and longevity but it has some flaws like the awful cable, mouse feet or weight. All of it are now solved with the new G502 X which have a new flex cable, PTFE mouse feet and a weight of only 89g. It also have new switches and a improved shape for 80€.
@@PiterTraceurFA I bought the g502 in 2018, so, 6 years ago, works absolutely perfectly still. Replaced it today with the wireless one, just for aesthetics.
i stopped using it because the wheel got so dirty that it got stuck, after happening 5 times i was done cleaning, threw it away and used another crappy 5 mouse.
Someone that in the last 2 years has been through 4-5 mice (they all work) and just couldn't find one I loved. This one... I love so much that when it finally broke (left click was going out) instead of getting a new one (still an eyewatering $120-140, I paid $180 years back) I instead found that parts for it are actually fairly cheap (around $20) and did the repair myself and still love it to this day. Having the extra 3 programable side buttons is absolutely genius and every mouse I've tried since then has failed not in both feel but versatility of having extra buttons if needed.
only things that matter in a review and everyone should always say it How much does it cost? How long does it last before it breaks? Does the scroll wheel last long without issues? Does the pressing/bottoms last long without issues? everything else is pointless and of no importance, the mouse can be super heavy, hard cable, many bottoms or few, but in the end if lets say i pay 40€ and the mouse lasts 5 years without 1 single problem then it's the best mouse ever no contest there, wish reviews actually went into durability instead of minutes and minutes of "don't like this, has bottoms here and there blabla"
well, the G502 Hero has a double click problem, the mouse feets actually get really bad overtime, the scroll wheel is just really bad I've been using it for 2 years now and I'm just so disappointed, can't wait to get a new one honestly
Using the G402 from 2015, G502 from 2019 and G502X for a while, the primary charm is definitely the ergonomic layout of the mouse and its buttons. I'm not an 'ubermensch' playing and acing all FPS games. I play them casually where the limitations of my mouse is far exceeded by limitations of my skill. The extra buttons are laid very thoughtfully and I can always bind and use them easily, unlike a MOBA focused mouse, like for example, corsair Scimitar Pro. The scimitar's buttons were unwieldy and a chore to accurately use, and has been a waste of money for me. G502 is therefore the best mouse to buy if you need extra buttons close by. The weight is welcome because I use a very high sensitivity and can reach any point in my screen with small-ish movements. Not ideal for FPS but that's not my thing anyway. The poor build of the wire bugs me but I've made my peace with it. Though I would be really happy if they changed that. But on a day to day basis, I never notice the wire, and have never felt annoyed at the nonexistence of a braided cable. The only gripe I've had with the series of mice is that the gunk and grime accumulating in the crevices are a real issue, I wouldn't mind if they turned their 'transformer' aesthetic down for practicality. And I've had to replace the switches after a few years because they started doubleclicking. But G502X has optical switches which should alleviate the issue. Otherwise, great mouse so far, and definitely worth it.
@@DiamondLobbyReviews Well, no. Your opinion isn't facts. Your bias is clear, you don't like and that's fine really. But most of your points about it are just that, your biased opinion. You can't name a real issue with it that's the only fact here. (TIP: You would be somewhat right if you criticized the choice of switches here, as they're old/cheap versions of Omrons, like mx500/10/18/g400...)
Just for reference pros use ultra light mice under 60g so it doesn't mean they have weak muscles but it's the fact that lighter mouse is easier to control and use
@@pablolocles9382 no it doesn’t depend on your grip, you just don’t need to be a little dweeb about it, btw the only disability that comes from wrist curling half a stack is dis-ability to take your bitch
110 grams IS too heavy for human wrist muscles when done for long periods. Ergonomic mousing involves trying to avoid using your wrists. Most high skilled players play with such low sensitivities that wrist adjustments do nothing. Arm movement is the preferred way to control a mouse ergonomics wise. And if you play on very low sensitivities which promote this, a heavy weight is just an unnecessary handicap. For reference: Almost every professional FPS player uses low sensitivities, but i've never seen a G502 user do that. So, merely following statistics: People who use the G502 aren't very good at playing games: Because no G502 user has every won a tournament, even as part of a team.
Have g502 hero myself for 5 years, and completely agree with all points. Especially weight, I have my right biceps bigger than left hand despite im training every day with 20kg both hands equal, only 120g makes such huge difference. Just imagine a guy who using two 502 in both hands he doesn't even need to go GYM!
Looks to me trivial and pretty much irrelevant. Years ago I used to hang around with a guy who, hands down, was the best FPS player I ever came across. Be that IRL or online. Regardless of whether it was 1:1, DM or TDM he was wiping the floor with everyone. While people were talking about display response times, dpi sensitivities, how good a certain mouse was clicking... blah blah blah... he was perfectly comfortable with gaming on a 15" CRT monitor and two button PS/2 mouse. The guy was unplayable. If you suck at driving a car owning a Lambo will make no difference.
A CRT monitor, no matter how tiny, is an objective improvement over LCD's in terms of pixel response and motion clarity so your flex isn't quite as effective there as you think. And back in the day even the best mouse was comparatively ancient; And a basic PS/2 mouse wouldn't have been any better than another really, even compared to opticals. I.E Back then the difference between the shittiest Logitech office mouse and the most expensive Razer was looks and shape: Not sensor performance. Seems the only argument G502 users can make to people who say it sucks: They either suck at vidya gamez (he doesn't, at least not compared to you or your imaginary friend), or they need to hit the gym if they can't move the mouse (hint: anyone can, but why would you want to if you have the option not to?)
@@D4rkstorn "Imaginary friend"? Don't you just love arguing with random people on the internet, heheh. You know the Carmac guy? Not the Quake one, the other one from esports (ESL etc.)? Yeah well it happens my "imaginary friend" is a friend of Carmac as they were born in the same city and started online gaming in the same place. Major difference is one of them has made a career out of it and the other one (the "imaginary one") was just passing through. About my skills.. yeah well.. they are not what they used to be that's for sure. But back in the days it was enough to be at couple of tournaments and get a bronze and golden medal. But then again I'll need to check the attic because they might be imaginery too.
@mando1337 Such a long story of "I know a guy who knows a guy". My point was that you implied someone somewhere lacked skills, presumably the reviewer. But he does have multiple tournament wins. Hell, I've won an ESL tournament. Not a team based one though, and not an fps. But appeals to false authority are boring: No one mentioned here is any sort of authority really, except maybe the reviewer. I suck relatively. But like I said, I have won an ESL tournament. And I'm not really an authority.
@@D4rkstorn And I'm no authority either. I'm too old and too busy to play like 20+ years ago. Nowadays it's mainly RTS and Minecraft with the kids for me :). My point however is if you are good at something the equipment you are using becomes an addition to your skill, not a driving force of your skill. Some of the best I played with back in the days were still one of the best regardless of what they were holding in their hand. Michele Mouton was good regardless of what car she was driving. The reason she wasn't a world champion was not the lack of skill but the fact Audi Quattro was unreliable in its first years. Colin McRae became Scottish Rally champion driving a Nova while the event was dominated by Sierras and AWDs.
@@mando1337 Back in the day everyone had the same bad equipment. It wasn't until 2015 or so when sensors without obvious physical flaws were becoming even available: Before that point EVERYONE was using essentially the same shit, with difference being shapes and stuff. The most popular gaming mouse of its time, the MX518 is by all accounts a terrible mouse for gaming: It has angle snapping. But since EVERYONE was using it, it leveled the playing field The G502 is in fact one of the FIRST mice with such a decent sensor so.... Aaaaand your point would be a lot stronger if people who were actually good at video games professionally used the G502 but as far as i know, no one does: More than 50% of all pros use the GPX instead, and the rest are using Razer, Zowie or even Chinese brands. And one of my important points was that just because something's old doesn't mean it's too bad to be used: CRTs in particular are STILL better for motion clarity and pixel response, meaning you get an obvious advantage compared to LCD's, which is why CS players used CRTs for so long, and still do.
Bought my G502 in 2016 and still using it. Need to upgrade because it only shows NOW after super heavy usage wear. The right mouse button isn't reliable anymore, it makes double-clicks and or none at all. I upgraded to a Deathadder V3 Pro and I agree with almost everything said in the video. I do not understand the dislikes because this mouse is too heavy, strains the wrist and causes damages. At least for me because I got fucking huge hands and the mouse is extremely small.
Yeah I changed to a Deathadder V3 Wired with a bungee and it was like a whole new world. I was always asking myself why I couldn't make microcorrections when aiming, the answer was that the mouse was too heavy to make them.
Just bought this mouse today. Love it! Good button layout, all reprogrammable. A little heavy. Responsive. Love the wheel. Most important, the right price. $35 bucks. Would have had to spend 2x as much for similar from any other brand.
@@user-qf5kl6cv2y G502 hero, not lightspeed or X. It says their price is 80 dollars but are on sale for 40, but they never go off sale its just a marketing tactic.
You bought a 10 year old mouse though. That would explain the price. No wait, it doesn't: You can buy a new wireless mouse for around that price with a better sensor.
I have a G402, very similar to the G502, from day one, never got any problem with it. If it gets dirty I just clean it, Imagine that... The cable is not a problem at all, I have a lot of space in front of the mouse, never got problems with the button placement and I play a lot of FPS, I don't think that 120g (G502) or 109g (G402) is that heavy for a mouse, the rock that you tape on it is heavier and even though you could still move it...
I've been using it for 8 years now. What I like, the shape, placement and number of buttons, hefty scroll wheel, easy software, infinite scroll wheel and left and right buttons on it. What I dislike, flaky rubber, the crevices between the side buttons (it's a grime magnet), coating on the scroll wheel has worn off, teflon pads are too small and weird shape and also collect grime between the crevices, ideally the mouse bottom should be one big chunk of teflon. If I could make a custom version I'd remove the rubber completely and have a smooth surface instead of that triangle pattern, have machined stainless steel scroll wheel, improve the side buttons. Other than that it's a perfect mouse.
The extra buttons are the selling point for me. I use g7 and g8 (next to mouse 1) for discord controls, and the scroll wheel left is pause music, scroll wheel right is next song. the 3 side buttons i use just like on other mice, but tbh the "sniper button" is just more comfortable for me so I rebound it and also use it for games
As a guy who's used the proteus core for 5 years until it got a doubleclick. The proteus core was king. The proteus core is the reason why it's so popular. The hero is hot garbage. Went through 3 of them in a span of 6 months. It has a horrible bug where it cancels your spray in FPS games. In the first month it's unnoticeable but after 2 months the mouse becomes garbage. Luckily the g502x fixed that issue for me.
@@Bumblebee3491 If you have G hub installed you won't notice it much unless you play FPS and RTS games. It's a known bug with the switches they use. Hence why a lot of high end mice nowadays are using the 20M click omron witches instead of the 40M ones.
@@epiccatfishlol Exactly dude! The G502 hero has a bug that causes doubleclicks early. I recommend updating your firmware and pray it fixes it. If it doesn't the G502X never gets doubleclicks as it's impossible on optical switches so I recommend getting that. Or giving the basilisk v3 a chance as it is a really good mouse just like the g502x. EDIT: The g502 that lasted for years was the G502 Proteus spectrum *not* the g502 hero.
I used this mouse exclusively for 4 years and came to just about all the same conclusions as you. Recently updated to a Pulsar X2H mini and have been loving how much easier it is to move around the mousepad. I have to imagine most of the people complaining in the comments are picking it up recently and haven't used other superlight mice, since it's fairly old by now it goes on sale for a low price pretty often these days. It's certainly not a bad mouse and will definitely get the job done, but there are other options that will likely be more useful to someone if they just spent a little more or did a little more research. My pulsar mouse was on sale for almost half off, and there were other models that were just about the same price as the G502 Hero.
how about you imagine that there are still men out here that have no issues with a 120g mouse.... I can see all the "men" by todays standard which are generally under 30 woiuld have issues with a mouse over 100g.....
Alright so, after watching the whole video, I do have many disagreements with some of your statements regarding the mouse, but I will start with what I DO agree with. To give preface, I've been using the G502 Hero for about the last 2 years. I wholeheartedly agree that the cable is absolute hot dog water, but I've come up with a solution that has worked rather well for me to compensate where the cable lacks, and oh boy does it lack. The monitor I play most games on, including FPS, has a lil slot in it for cable management through the stand itself, which I fed the cable through and additionally to prevent more flip floppiness I've just stuck a small piece of tape over the cable attaching it to the base of the stand. It's by no means a perfect solution, but I have enough desk space that it's not a massive problem otherwise. The other thing that I agree with is that it definitely does get dirty, but I mean 5 minutes of cleaning every once in awhile never hurt anyone. The ability to unlock the wheel has also become useful in my job as of late, allowing me to efficiently scroll through massive amounts of bullshit with extreme speed. Beyond that, I feel that the mouse, for me, is decently weighted on its own, and I have not added any weights. I play games such as Insurgency, Tarkov, CSGO, as well as some more casual games like Minecraft and Eve Online. For CS and Tarkov especially, I feel like the added weight does actually help quite a lot in keeping my movements steady and much smoother, because I don't end up having to re-micro adjust if I accidentally over adjust. I did used to play around with dpi quite a bit, but all under 1000dpi, until I settled on the dpi I liked most with the mouse which currently sits at 800. The mouse isn't uncomfortable in my hand whatsoever, and I feel as if my hands are larger than average. On a steelseries mouse pad, with the default feet the mouse glides incredibly smoothly. Now, I am by no means a pro, but of all the mice I have used in the past, it certainly has been the best for me. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of lighter mice though, so I will admit I'm biased there. However, I do believe your statement on the mouse taking considerably more effort to move is overexaggerated at best. Moving it takes a miniscule amount of effort, as with a lot of modern mice, and I am by no means fit. In fact, I'll be brutally honest and say I'm a fat fuck who hasn't worked out since 2019. I have had 0 issues with my wrist as a result of using the mouse, or in general. Thanks for the chad compliment though
I have the g502 wired and wireless and I mostly use the extra weights on my headphones my taping them to the side of the headband to balance out the weight since my headphone cable is quite heavy.
All of the drawbacks mentioned in this video are what I would condsider benefits. The weight is what attracted me to it in the first place, the DPI is user selectable including the snipe button, the infinite scroll wheel is perfect for thrust control when flying in War Thunder and the new cable is better than the braided one as it gives less resistance on your desk.
When I got mine the idea was that for MMORPGs that require many bindings for all your abilities, 3 sides buttons is the perfect amount.. the Razer Naga per example has 12.. that's kinda ridiculous. But all other gaming mouses only had 2, so I went for the 502 for that reason and it served it's purpose really well.
Wtf dude, I have three kids using the computer with three mouses all connected to the PC, a Corsair M90, Razer Death Adder and a 502 Hero. I love the Logitech and don't agree with you at all bro!!
I got 20k elo(top 1%) in CS2 using the g502 wired that ive had since 2016. I just got the DA v3 Pro, havent gotten to try it out yet, but it goes to show that a good mouse doesnt equal good skills.
Good lightweight mouse = not destroying your wrist, at least. After getting DAv3, my old g305 at 100g feels like a brick, honestly was surprised by that cause I play on Xbox gamepad regularly too.
@@Bodwaizer Yes definitely, of course a good mouse has its benifits, I am only saying that one cant blame the mouse for their skill issues. (as long as their mouse isnt a relic that belongs in a museum)

"many buttons that are redundant " firstly there is no such thing as a redundant button in a gaming mouse just ones that aren't utilized , secondly try playing an FPS game like tarkov and then tell me you don't need additional buttons
Hell, I use like EIGHT buttons out of 11. Sometimes MORE! Right click left click, volume up and down, middle click, copy and paste, enter, and 2 more buttons in a few games like War Thunder or Warframe.
it's a great mouse. I'm a pretty nervous shooter, I need slow sensitivity/dpi, and the weight is a plus for me. You can choose how fast to move your mouse. It's not like the weight of the mouse is hindering how fast you can move it, unless you're really weak lol. Mouse weight is the most overhyped attribute.
Finaly, a man of my own taste. We have the same job and the weight of the mouse with the extra ones is not a problem. A lot of people don’t recomend it for fps games like csgo, valorant… but for me works great when it comes to flick shots and stuff like this. Have great day mate.
You are wrong in all your points, and people have told you so, but I'm going to add my 2 cents about the cable. Simply put, the braided cable sucks. That's it. It catches and frays with the woven border of mouse pads. I even removed the braid from my original 2016 G502 "Proteus Spectrum" because its cable kept catching the border of my Steelseries mousepad.
I've been using g602 for 5 years mate. At 155g its perfect for me. It depends on how you grip. The only thing I hate about these mice is the double click issues.
It's got an optical scroll wheel. I have 10+ mice with jumping scroll wheels. Even my latest razer viper v2 pro has a jumping scroll wheel encoder. My G502 with its optical encoder still works even after 5 years.
100% not designed for you, for MMO's or actual productivity users rather than the very narrow focus you have that actually has specific mice for your use case. Some of us actually have wrists not made of glass so the weight is no drama and feels far less cheap than all the superlight mice that feel like they should be $20 at most.
Too much effort to move around? Stop using a sandpaper mouse pad and strengthen up your baby wrists. My 13 year old niece uses this mouse and loves how fast it is to move around compared to some others. I have an IT friend with 0 muscles and he insists on using it with all the weights in it. I've been using it for years and love it and I'm not a Logitech fanboy. It's just a damn good mouse.
I would be fine to use it, if it were lighter. My god is it a heavy piece of plastic. The rubber truly is a absolute dirt magnet and the software also stinks, as it takes a few seconds after windows startup to actually have the proper dpi. The wheel is fragile af tho. Not that it becomes unusable, but the free spin can get damaged quite instantly if any forces are applied to the mouse. Mine broke from a medium smack on the table in the normal position, meaning I just hit the bottom.
i honestly love the mouse the problem is that because of the foam factor my pinky gets left out, and ends up rubing the mousepad, but ive got used to it, and the weight is fine, if anything i think there should be more programmable buttons since i use em alot XD
Bought mine back in 2020 when it still had the thin braided cable and I've used it as my main mouse ever since. I prefer the heavier weight since lightweight mice make me feel like it's going to slip out of my hand and go flying across the room, and I've never been a fan of wireless since I have to constantly worry about signal drops or battery life. I'd still highly recommend the G502 Hero to everyone just because it's held up for so long, no cable issues, weight is a preference, the extra buttons especially for sensitivity are great when I'm switching between games like csgo and league where I like different speeds, the unlockable scroll wheel makes scanning through longer documents incredibly helpful, overall just a really solid and well built mouse. Other comparable options from Corsair are like, $50 more and anyone who uses razer must like buying a new mouse every year because their quality is just awful. I've been trying to find another mouse with equal features that is wired and it's not even close, corsair has the M56 which is shorter (since I've got long-ish hands, I like the size of the 502) , there really isn't anything I've found better. I just wish they kept the braided cable..
@TheOtherNamesWereTaken123 I've since upgraded to the G502X (same mouse base but wireless and lighter) but the 502 Hero should be fine. If he's been using a different mouse it might take a little getting used to but it shouldn't be a problem at all.
I played with the Superlight for about 2 years, but went back to my old G502 Hero with all weights in them and it is awesome again. My GF/Wife has the new one G502 X Plus but it isn't hitting me the same way the original G502 does.
Beta male weak wrist, and I excel in fps games with this mouse usually topping leaderboards in a variety of games, only thing you said I agree with is the dirt trapping, I rebound all those buttons for fps games so they are usable, for tarkov for example I use the two "DPI buttons" for my healing items
@@DiamondLobbyReviews halo for example just did a big team battle 42 kills 4 deaths. Pubg get chicken dinners all the time although it's too many bots these days so doesn't count as much, tarkov I wipe 4-5 man groups I just threw up a couple clips got heaps but they on my channel if you wanted to see, siege etc. Most of your good fps games I play don't touch cod though.
@@DiamondLobbyReviews my original comment sounded toxic but was a full response to everything you said haha, but yeah the gunk does get in the mouse at times and it's annoying to clean but that's the only downside I find with this mouse, the new version I will get is a bit better for that
I've went from Corsair M65 to Razer and now I am on Logitech, tbh, I like the fact there are 5 side buttons I can use for ease of use, I like setting up macros for single player games, and for CS this mouse will be great for binds like smoke, molly, flash, nade etc. the M1 side buttons are just perfect not too close and not too far, brilliant ergonomic design for me.
The product design team at Logitech are questionable to say the least. The rubber ends up looking like it went to hell and back while the rest of the mouse looks pristine. Total dog shit product design. Everything else is great. And yeah, the little triangles are just dirt magnets. What the hell is wrong with the hard plastic of the rest of the mouse? And if you wanna make it rubber, understand it wear out differently than the other materials. So design it accordingly. Maybe swappable rubber grips? No thought put into it whatsoever. Wake me up when Logitech make a mouse that's worth their premium price. I have a fucking Chang Pang -quality M100 office mouse from over 13 years ago that has no cosmetic sign of wear on it whatsoever. And another mouse with literally no branding on it that was used for ages. Still looks new.
@@oneandonlycara Err, i'm using it? People post pictures of normal G502 usage after a few years and the rubber looks like a disaster after normal use. Check the LogitechG subreddit.
@@oneandonlycara It's rubber and it wears when in contact with friction, let alone sweat plus friction. This has nothing to do with mice, but simple facts regarding a material. You'll find countless examples by searching online. Sounds like your right hand was severed at one point and you have a bionic one? And even then, there's the issue of: rubber + friction, pff-ff-ff.
0:01 Because some of us lack the insane hand dexterity and actually NEED more than two side buttons. Care to take on Mongraal in Fortnite and show us how you'll humiliate him with his G402? I have 130, 115, 100, and 74 gram mice in my collection. I was at my peak with the 115 gram mouse believe it or not. I then switched to the 74 gram model but the software glitches out my audio and I can't be bothered to reinstall windows so I went back to the 100 gram option. I'm still learning to adapt to the 15 gram weight reduction. Also, we're not always looking to spend money on the same mouse WITH THE SAME BUTTON CONFIGURATION AND NO MEANINGFUL EXTRA FEATURES OR INNOVATION. My perfect mouse would simply be the G604 in a 50 gram body. They make that happen and I'm buying it even if it was $300
1. Fortnite doesn't count, it's for casuals and kids. 2. The best Fortnite players all use mice with just two side buttons. 3. You can use the keyboard as well: It's usually faster than moving your fingers around a mouse looking for buttons due to touch-type. 4. For games that ACTUALLY benefit from more than 2 mouse buttons you don't need a very good mouse to begin with as they're not about tracking or anything so you might as well just get a G502.
Thank you! Help me decide. I choose between Razer Baselisk v3, Hero g502 and MX Master 3S. Which one is better to take? I need to work with Adobe, Cinema 4D, FL Studio applications but also sometimes play
do nto buy RAZER... i still love them cause everythign about them are winderful... but unfortunatelly the middle mouse button (scroll) click just dies in month... i had 2 Deathadder v2 and a basilisk v3 at the moment... im so sad but i just bought the hero g502 to replace it... the scroll click dies not registering properly... the net is full of it as well asking why
So, you're assuming that ALL gamers are low sensitivity competitive fps gamers and that no other game genres exist? Such narrow mindedness (unless this video is satire, and I hope it is)
The g502 is absolutely perfect all around the only issue is the weight after going to the gpx or the viper pro 2 but as far as the mouse itself everything from the shape to the performance is top tiers
Dude is so weak that he can't move more than 100g, lol Nah, but being serious, I never understood the thing for lightweight mice, I personally prefer them heavier. Bought the first ever 502 a few months after it came out and still use it to this day (currently needing a replacement because it has started to get that horrible greasy feeling even though I clean it daily and I am very careful with not having dirty hands near my electronics. The mouse is top tier, extremely versatile, there are games where the amount of buttons really do help a lot, like on CoD Zombies, since you have easy access to the usual d-pad functions on your mouse hand, also, for creative suite purposes the buttons have been a huuuge time saver for me, the scroll wheel is also something I love about the mouse. I don't think it's overrated, it just isn't for someone like you that just prefers something simple and light.
It's terrible, once I get my new mouse probably next month...I'm literally throwing it in the trash, not even gonna bother with giving it away. If people think the weight of a mouse doesn't matter...it does, if you're using the mouse for 2-4 hours...the weight starts to become apparent...and you'll feel it on your wrist. I'm not a weak dude, I'm heavy into training calisthenics often...but I broke my wrist about a decade ago and I get wrist pains...this mouse sucks for that, and I'm realizing I need a light and easy mouse. Don't buy it...let Logitech just discontinue it, or... what I think they should do is just make a smaller and lighter version of it...I like the infinity scroll wheel and I think they should put it on other mice, and that's all I like about it, but the weight of it isn't worth that. I'm happily going back to a regular scroll wheel.
Stoped watching you vidr after 2:26 min after realizing i am watching a kid winning about his mice. This video should be named: My subbjective opinion on The Logitech G502. And in that regard i would never click on you video because why the heck i would care about your unprofesional opinion. I bought this mice week ago and i love it. Best mouse i have ever had. So next time try to put some sens in you vid instead of THIS.
LMAO. The mouse is 10 years old. To suggest buying it now is the opposite of professional. The fact that the marketing got you and you paid for a "new" old mouse shows what's wrong: You're trying to justify your own purchase by crying.
Out of the 10 different mice I have consisting of Steel Series , End Game , Corsair and Razer mice , the Logitech G502 is still my favorite mouse by far.
That's...stupid. Why do some guys make every little thing about their masculinity? Is that really what constitutes being a man in your mind? It's the most trivial benchmark I can think of.
I agree i first loved this mouse then after 3 years it stared to double click the only thing I like is the weight I even put all the weights it gives you in the mouse
Okay, i won't buy the G502. I'll buy the G502 X Plus, instead! It's better, and it pisses you off apparently, which is a bonus. Also, i use it for FPS, and I'm quite happy with it. Destiny 2, MWII, and many others. I love the functionality the extra buttons give. In D2: the Sniper Button is remapped to uncharged melee G5 is grenade G4 is class ability G8 is charged melee G7 is finisher G9 is block I've used this setup for over 4 years, with Corsair's G502 ripoff, the Dark Core Pro, and with the legendary G502 itself, both wired, and wireless. G502 is the best mouse I've ever used. And here's the kicker: i'm 28, and hands and wrists are just fine, so i don't know what you're on about.
Re 1:35 It was actually released in December 2013 :) I know this because college aged me decided it was THE mouse to play competitive CSGO in and got it first day at a BestBuy. I was laughed at by another team at a regional LAN event :(
Well, heavily criticizing the most beloved Gaming Mouse on the planet would lead to that. It was my first Gaming mouse, so I'm kinda biased towards it, too. But mostly just out of nostalgia.
It actually says more about the people who press the like/dislike button than the take itself: One has to remember it's a 10-year-old mouse. It's comparatively obsolete, as even Logitech has replaced it with a newer version. That happens to also be lighter... But it's still the most popular gaming mouse of all time: It topped the Amazon list. Then people who don't do extensive research saw it on the Amazon top list. And then it stays on the top lists, for more people to find it using non-extensive research, once more at the top of the list: I.E The mere momentum of the G502 is still keeping it up, but that's it. The real effect of the phenomenon is that people then come here defending a 10-year-old mouse. That they just happened to buy within the last two years or so. TLDR: People keep buying an old mouse and then seeing someone suggest they stop doing it. The result is the only obvious one: Buyer's remorse.
Looking at getting the lightspeed version of this, and the biggest factor for me is ergonomics. To me the g502 is a slightly lighter lower latency alternative to the MX master. Not the best productivity mouse, not the best gaming mouse but seems to be a nice middle ground. The design definitely leaves a lot to be desired though
The G502 lightspeed is a gaming mouse in the same way that the BMW M5 is a sports car. It’s got the (big engine) fast sensor, and low latency Bluetooth chip (dual clutch automatic). But at the end of the day it’s still weighing over a double most light weight gaming mouses (M5 weight 1930kg, MX5 weight 961kg). The G502 is a productivity mouse (luxury car) dressed up to be a gaming mouse (sports car). It’s got the comfortable palm grip (comfortable soft seats), 9 programmable buttons (storage space & back seats), the infinite scroll wheel (cruise control). The G502 is the mouse you get when you want the functionality of the MX Master ( Mercedes S-class) but the response of a gaming mouse (sports car).
@@B0X666 So would everyone else: But the point was weight / power ratio and feature bloat: The BMW is more desirable, but the MX5 will most definitely obliterate it in a race due to acceleration alone. Would this make more sense for you: Compare M4 with the M5 with both having the same engine and the M4 chassis being lighter: With the M5 you get a fancy car with lots of extras people will see and go "nice" when they see you park at your Wall Street company. While the M4 will literally have better performance and less bloaty luxury features.
@@D4rkstorn I use a R.A.T. Gaming Mouse, it's rather Heavy, but I love it!! Not great for FPS though. And WTF did you comment here, it's from 2023... Take care!
@@B0X666 It's old, but so is the video, just noticed a good analogue: I had the G502 a long, long time ago and i made the personal observation very quickly that some of the features are questionable for a gaming mouse. Namely, the scroll wheel: It has both infinite scroll and it actuates to the sides. Neither of these are useful for gaming at all, but are VERY useful for productivity work. So, i saw a comment i liked, expanded it, saw yours and then explained the analogue: While it's true a BMW M5 is more desirable than an MX5, the MX5 is more geared for performance (light weight FPS oriented gaming mouse) whereas the M5 is a luxury item for different considerations (G502).
Ive been in love with this mouse for years. I use these buttons for every game for different things, when I played WoW i had abillites there. Given you have atleast 6 buttons if you dont count Dpi up and down buttons
Logitech have always made mice that fits my hand like a glove, and I gotta ways, when I first saw the original G502 (the Proteus Core) I wasn't sure if it was any good. First time I used it, it fit perfectly. Everything was awesome except for the feet. They peel off way too quickly and start to catch your mousepad. I had to buy new feet (Hotline Games F4 Silver) and they are 5000 times better. They glide way better and doesn't bend and stick to the pad. The coating also come off really quickly. Other than that though, it's a solid mouse. With flaws.
Yes light mouse is good but if you prefer cable then it will be affected by it weight or other forces from it when its folded by your movement then it good to have heavy mouse... then If mouse use batteries then its not light anymore ... more batteries more weight more work time! Also good plastick weight a bit and if you want to make it lighter you need to or use slighty les plastic = it would not be strudy or/and use some structurizing to make structure light and durable at same time. This mouse for me is ok. In term of roller - I bought it because of it ... why ? Im working with tons of code so scroling for me through like 1000 lines of code one hand is faster thant using keyboard combination to go to the line (maybe it wouldntbe if I would know which line I would go exactly) so at same time Im making sip of tea or juice or just scratching bottom :P. So I love its so super fast to scrol and at same time this lock mechanism to make it heh click - of course this mode could be littme more smotther but its ok'isch for my taste. swift change of its programable speeds is v v v nice for gaming experience as well as working for me is nice. Plastic is super nice in touch and not leaving musges after touch! Then minuses for me from greatest to not so problematic: 1. Logitech app id influence some of my older programs like msiafterburner - I cannot open it anymore because of some visual C++ problem induced by logitech - but the list of problems with some application is greater - because I use old windows and older application because I do not like to be imposed windows 10 or 11 my freadom of use linux or whatever I want (win 11 taking control on what you can run on computer! WTF) so yeach - google it or check what win 11 brings to the table (or rather take) more than just subscriptions 1-2. after one year medicore extensive use my left button started to double click! - wtf its not premium as they told 2. its edges - it is just dust and skin and swet gatherer after 1 year of gaming I got hard time clearing all those gaps!!! - yeah its not bad but when I want to clear /wash mouse I want it to be clear - but of course some people may say eh whatever (its my prefrence) 3. to open this mouse and fix it you would need to remove stickers (so you want to buy new ones! wtf) to conclude - its v nice mouse overall - it was super easy to use and not as expensive. If I would find mouse with mitigation of above mentioned problems with same pross even if litle more expensive I would bought different mouse) in fact there is one which is in of copy of this one - seems nice and those microsticks are of better endurance so yeah I wich change it especialy because of this intrusive problematic logitech apps - dont get me wron ... aplication is flawles and easy to use in ters of it user experience but not in terms of backward system / aplication compatibility. so if cons are something you would want to avoid especialy if my pross are not good enough for you then you would want to avoid this mouse iven if its a nice mouse.
Stop disabling the dpi buttons, and instead use them for keys. The button layout is, imo, the reason this mouse is top tier.

The weight is pretty helpful for people with slightly shaky grip or similar issues. Lighter mice have been problematic for me in the past just because of how easily I could knock myself out of alignment for a shot. Otherwise solid review, the braided cable version is better.
So your problem then not the weight of the mouse

@@dtester I am quite aware that it's been refreshed:
The problem is that the most popular version IS the G502 hero, still.
That is NOT 10 years old, true: The Proteus Core is. The Proteus Spectrum is about 8 years old and has the same externals and internals, but with RGB.
And the G502 Hero is a refresh of that:
It's still mostly the same exact mouse, using the same exact shells, but with a major difference:
They downgraded the sensor to a cheaper one.
@@D4rkstorn Never heard anybody say that the Hero sensor was a "downgrade" to the 3360.

Overall, G502 is an extremely good mouse for productivity and games that aren't competitive fps's.
what mouse do you reccomend for fps like call of duty,im using the 502 heroe is work ok,today i just ordered the 502 x

I can attest to this. G502 buttons are extremely useful for binding fire control settings and aircraft engine controls
I hate Razer / non reliable products.
In terms of the button layouts, there really aren't any, if at all, modern mice that have similarly positioned buttons
I used this mouse for about a year now and it has been the best mouse I have had over the past 30 years. It didn't survive a plunge into a glass of water but that was to be expected.
My dumbass thought you meant you had the mouse for 30 years 💀

@@TB0NEx Well, how was this mouse working in those Macintosh PCs back in the 90's?
dont let him find the basilisk
The problem isn't the mouse or its weight, it's your grip. Palm grip requires you to move your wrist way more than fingertip grip where you just move the mouse under your hand by moving your fingers. It also extremely easy to make small movements that way.
The actual problem with the mouse is that the rubber grip for your thumb wears down after 3-4 years down to the bare plastic and the scroll wheel notches smooth down to a point where your finger slips over it.
This! I used logi M series with that rubber and it start to sink in aftet about 15 months
@@_MintArcade Are there any good mouse which doesnt have this problem? Or can you replace the rubber with something else? If this problem wouldn't exist you would never had to buy new mouse...
@@ecco512 just buy mouse without this rubber or use other brand.. as far as i know logi rubber mostly like that but im in a tropical environment
It just isn't the mouse for you.
i actually don't like the ultralight mouses, when i shake the mouse shake like crazy too compared to heavier mouse where it is way more still.
He is stuck at that super light era mouse.
Plus 90% of the time i use this mouse for everything outside of gaming. I love all the buttons but i do wish it was lighter, the index finger click itself was much lighter and the mouse slid a little more easily but i recognises i do want a certain amount of grip to help with aiming.
you don't even need an ultra light weight mouse to be competitive. People just think they need one to be better but in reality they are just dogshit
The only thing i care about mice is their shape.
to me, it sounds like you got no strength in your arms if you think this mouse is like throwing a brick around

@@arkgaharandan5881 bruh why are you so dirty?

Someone that in the last 2 years has been through 4-5 mice (they all work) and just couldn't find one I loved. This one... I love so much that when it finally broke (left click was going out) instead of getting a new one (still an eyewatering $120-140, I paid $180 years back) I instead found that parts for it are actually fairly cheap (around $20) and did the repair myself and still love it to this day. Having the extra 3 programable side buttons is absolutely genius and every mouse I've tried since then has failed not in both feel but versatility of having extra buttons if needed.
I mainly prefer lighter mice, but when it comes to work + play nothing beats the 502 and 903
only things that matter in a review and everyone should always say it
How much does it cost?
How long does it last before it breaks?
Does the scroll wheel last long without issues?
Does the pressing/bottoms last long without issues?
everything else is pointless and of no importance, the mouse can be super heavy, hard cable, many bottoms or few, but in the end if lets say i pay 40€ and the mouse lasts 5 years without 1 single problem then it's the best mouse ever no contest there, wish reviews actually went into durability instead of minutes and minutes of "don't like this, has bottoms here and there blabla"
well, the G502 Hero has a double click problem, the mouse feets actually get really bad overtime, the scroll wheel is just really bad
I've been using it for 2 years now and I'm just so disappointed, can't wait to get a new one honestly
The most ridiculous complaints, at first it even seemed that you was trying to be funny. This mouse indeed have issues, but not those you mentioned.

@@DiamondLobbyReviews Well, no. Your opinion isn't facts. Your bias is clear, you don't like and that's fine really. But most of your points about it are just that, your biased opinion.

(TIP: You would be somewhat right if you criticized the choice of switches here, as they're old/cheap versions of Omrons, like mx500/10/18/g400...)
Its an overpriced piece of plastic. Should be logitechs motto.
bruh 110 grams are too heavy for your wrist muscles?
Just for reference pros use ultra light mice under 60g so it doesn't mean they have weak muscles but it's the fact that lighter mouse is easier to control and use
I wrist curl half of the stack and I use a 58 gram mouse. A light mouse is just better 🤷♂️
@@Boofskidepends on your grip. If you need a lighter mouse, get a lighter mouse. Don't try to change the market because of your disabilities.
It’s me. I’m the reason. I started the whole “g502 master race” thing. I’m sorry.
It wasn't until 2015 or so when sensors without obvious physical flaws were becoming even available:
Before that point EVERYONE was using essentially the same shit, with difference being shapes and stuff.
The most popular gaming mouse of its time, the MX518 is by all accounts a terrible mouse for gaming: It has angle snapping. But since EVERYONE was using it, it leveled the playing field
The G502 is in fact one of the FIRST mice with such a decent sensor so....

I use g7 and g8 (next to mouse 1) for discord controls, and the scroll wheel left is pause music, scroll wheel right is next song. the 3 side buttons i use just like on other mice, but tbh the "sniper button" is just more comfortable for me so I rebound it and also use it for games
i bought this mouse because of the weight. but im sick strong af
I personally like mice that are 110g or heavier, so the G502 is perfect for me. I've used mine since the original Proteus Core from 2013.
@@NyangisKhan damn you must have gotten defective ones cause I got my hero like 3 years ago and it’s still running fine.

How ya'll keeping your mouses so long my g502 se started double clicking after 8 months 😭
@@epiccatfishlol Exactly dude! The G502 hero has a bug that causes doubleclicks early. I recommend updating your firmware and pray it fixes it.

Cons: 1. Basically a rock
2. Dirt magnet
3. Excersize to move

I literally can't move on from the G502 because the infinite scroll wheel is way too useful for casual computer usage
Detach the lump of concrete from the mouse . . . it improves performance.

I honestly love the weight on gaming mouse, i hate the feeling of a light mouse, Then again i am a car mechanic so i got some arm strength.
Finaly, a man of my own taste. We have the same job and the weight of the mouse with the extra ones is not a problem.
A lot of people don’t recomend it for fps games like csgo, valorant… but for me works great when it comes to flick shots and stuff like this. Have great day mate.
some people can't use small mice like myself too. I'm 6'5 with big hands.
They apparently fixed that problem with the newer g502x. They use optical switches instead of mechanical now.
Thankyou for raising this too !
For a long while I used to wish the mouse came with more weights...
Mine broke from a medium smack on the table in the normal position, meaning I just hit the bottom.
what are some good lightweight mice
lol its not heavy unless you are a 5 yr old kid. i got g502 and never thought of its weight as a downside
Preach brother 🙏🙏🙏🙏
my only problem is a broken middle button in the mouse wheel, I always use it in AutoCad
i honestly love the mouse the problem is that because of the foam factor my pinky gets left out, and ends up rubing the mousepad, but ive got used to it, and the weight is fine, if anything i think there should be more programmable buttons since i use em alot XD
i just noticed my pinky rubs the mousepad to but i don't really mind

It is quite good. If you are not comfortable thats your choice. This doesnt mean mouse is trash just your opinion.
What are you doing to your poor mouse?
@@oneandonlycara Err, i'm using it? People post pictures of normal G502 usage after a few years and the rubber looks like a disaster after normal use. Check the LogitechG subreddit.
@@Prenihility I've got it myself, for years, that's why I ask what you do to your mouse, sounds like your desk/hand is yuckie when playing
@@Prenihility no, I just have common sense and clean stuff that I touch daily from time to time
0:01 Because some of us lack the insane hand dexterity and actually NEED more than two side buttons.
The Logitech stock cable is a crime against humanity
@@draznox Thank you, I bought hero g502. I've been using it for a little over a month. Works fine so far
So, you're assuming that ALL gamers are low sensitivity competitive fps gamers and that no other game genres exist? Such narrow mindedness (unless this video is satire, and I hope it is)
I've played 7300 hours of games since May 2019 and I use a G502 with weights added. No pain. Mouse looks awesome.
I also use all the buttons for all my games. in overwatch i use the 3 left clicks for aimed ability, reload and shoot.
The g502 is absolutely perfect all around the only issue is the weight after going to the gpx or the viper pro 2 but as far as the mouse itself everything from the shape to the performance is top tiers
120 grams is not a lot of weight. Get down the gym and do some 35lbs incline bicep curls. That will sort you out you young whipper snapper.
Dude is so weak that he can't move more than 100g, lol
Nah, but being serious, I never understood the thing for lightweight mice, I personally prefer them heavier.
So next time try to put some sens in you vid instead of THIS.
ur wrong
@@DiamondLobbyReviews he's 110% correct.
LMAO. The mouse is 10 years old. To suggest buying it now is the opposite of professional.
The fact that the marketing got you and you paid for a "new" old mouse shows what's wrong: You're trying to justify your own purchase by crying.
Out of the 10 different mice I have consisting of Steel Series , End Game , Corsair and Razer mice , the Logitech G502 is still my favorite mouse by far.
your not a man if you complain about mouse weight
That barely has to do with weight lifting.
true
That's...stupid. Why do some guys make every little thing about their masculinity? Is that really what constitutes being a man in your mind? It's the most trivial benchmark I can think of.
@@D3ViiANT its a ~120 gram mouse every man should be able to move it with ease.
@@D3ViiANT that's what a beta male would say, probably gets cheated on, maybe you watch?
I agree i first loved this mouse then after 3 years it stared to double click the only thing I like is the weight I even put all the weights it gives you in the mouse
Okay, i won't buy the G502. I'll buy the G502 X Plus, instead! It's better, and it pisses you off apparently, which is a bonus. Also, i use it for FPS, and I'm quite happy with it. Destiny 2, MWII, and many others. I love the functionality the extra buttons give.
In D2:
the Sniper Button is remapped to uncharged melee
G5 is grenade
G4 is class ability
G8 is charged melee
G7 is finisher
G9 is block
I've used this setup for over 4 years, with Corsair's G502 ripoff, the Dark Core Pro, and with the legendary G502 itself, both wired, and wireless. G502 is the best mouse I've ever used. And here's the kicker: i'm 28, and hands and wrists are just fine, so i don't know what you're on about.
Remap the sniper button to g-shift to double up your keybinds.
Re 1:35
It was actually released in December 2013 :) I know this because college aged me decided it was THE mouse to play competitive CSGO in and got it first day at a BestBuy. I was laughed at by another team at a regional LAN event :(
it feels easy for me to drag the mouse
people who say it feels heavy as fuck are frail as hell, it's not that heavy feeling when you actually use it
1.2k likes and 4.2k dislikes according to restore youtube dislikes extension...
I guess this really says something about these takes.
The design definitely leaves a lot to be desired though
the like to dislike ratio says everything about this video.
345 likes 980 deslikes.
This is popular because of the original g5 in the 2000s. That time this was the only “gaming mouse” and this is why people got nostalgic like me.
I'd prefer an BMW any day over a cheap rice racer...LOL
So, i saw a comment i liked, expanded it, saw yours and then explained the analogue:
While it's true a BMW M5 is more desirable than an MX5, the MX5 is more geared for performance (light weight FPS oriented gaming mouse) whereas the M5 is a luxury item for different considerations (G502).
Ive been in love with this mouse for years. I use these buttons for every game for different things, when I played WoW i had abillites there. Given you have atleast 6 buttons if you dont count Dpi up and down buttons
121grams is light.
With flaws.
bring back the dislikes counter
Then minuses for me from greatest to not so problematic:
1. WTF) so yeach - google it or check what win 11 brings to the table (or rather take) more than just subscriptions
1-2. after one year medicore extensive use my left button started to double click! - wtf its not premium as they told
2. its edges - it is just dust and skin and swet gatherer after 1 year of gaming I got hard time clearing all those gaps!!! - yeah its not bad but when I want to clear /wash mouse I want it to be clear - but of course some people may say eh whatever (its my prefrence)
3. to open this mouse and fix it you would need to remove stickers (so you want to buy new ones! wtf)
to conclude - its v nice mouse overall - it was super easy to use and not as expensive. If I would find mouse with mitigation of above mentioned problems with same pross even if litle more expensive I would bought different mouse) in fact there is one which is in of copy of this one - seems nice and those microsticks are of better endurance so yeah I wich change it especialy because of this intrusive problematic logitech apps - dont get me wron ... aplication is flawles and easy to use in ters of it user experience but not in terms of backward system / aplication compatibility. so if cons are something you would want to avoid especialy if my pross are not good enough for you then you would want to avoid this mouse iven if its a nice mouse.
sounds like a skill issue to me... the mouse is fucking cool and I love it :D
