- We all remember where we were when Rupaul announced that for the first time in Dragrace Herstory there would be a tie for All Stars 4. Something that shook the world because nobody was expecting an ending like that was even a possibility. Yet, what made it so that the next inductee into the hall of fame have so much pressure? I have a cool story about Trinity The Tuck that happened a few months ago.
So, Trinity performed at this bar in Baton Rouge a few months ago. I was there really early, and I got in line for the pre-show meet and greet. Trinity was in full Drag and ready for the M&G right at time at 10:00. And since I’d gotten there early, I’d already seen her out of drag beforehand! One of the local girls would later tell me she didn’t have help getting ready, she got in full Drag and makeup in like 45 minutes. She was also nice in the M&G.
Cut to the actual performance: the local girls did their routine, then it was Trinity’s turn. She does her routine, people try to tip her, as you do. At the end of her number, she gets on the mic and tells everyone to make sure to tip the local girls over her, since they’re the ones who need the money more than she does.
So, say what you want about Trinity and her online persona, she’s absolutely a professional in terms of her job and at shows.

I hate that within the whole discussion of "who was the first openly trans contestant on drag race," Monica Beverly Hillz is usually forgotten about. She came out on the main stage in front of everyone, something difficult enough as it is, but she did it on season 5 !! Fucking legend and trans icon within the drag community. I do security at a club that regularly has big name drag queens performing. Trinity is easily in my top favorite of all time to interact with. Shes charming, witty, and took the time to get to know us. There was a bartender that was making fun of the way padding smells and so Trinity put one of her pads under the register for him to find. It was hilarious. I absolutely love her and look forward to whenever she comes in on tour. DeLa, Bob, Nina West, and Mo Heart prolly round out my top 5 Ru Girls that Ive met, but SO many of them are fantastic.

I would say that out of all of the Drag Race queens, Trinity is the 'Master of Drag Race'. She's good at everything on it and managed to overcome her past weaknesses with the public speaking and stand up. I still underestimated her before All Stars 7 aired and I shouldn't have been surprised at how good she was on it. There's people who just excel at the show's format and Trinity is one of them.
Monet has always been amazing, she's just such a powerhouse in how to build and project her brand and persona whilst still feeling like she's being herself rather than her persona. She's just so entertaining and endearing to watch and listen to.
I'll end it with if Trinity is the 'Master of Drag Race', then our Queen of All Queens, Jinkx Monsoon is simply the 'Master of Drag'. Period. Can't wait for Sasha Colby to join the ranks!
11 wins across three seasons. The most of anyone. She probably really is the best player the show has seen.

so conflicting because I was rooting for manila but it was the right strategic move and gave us the iconic “life’s not fair” moment. The lip syncs in All Stars 4 actually had stakes bc it wasn’t the same name on each lip stick.

I’m a giant Monet stan and she’s one of my favourite queens but Mo Heart was so robbed is As4. I think that it was probably planned to be a double crowning from the start (my guess is Manila and Latrice) and when they both got eliminated they just had an extra 100k so did a double crowning anyways. Should’ve been Mo and Trinity double crowning in my opinion. No hate to Monet though love her.

Monet’s fashion lacks so much, she either adds something that isn’t needed or needed to add something or the whole outfit is basic and doesn’t make sense. Like her “Crowing” outfit wtf is that blonde Karen wig and that basic red leotard. Monet isn’t funny and isn’t recognizable she really could just fade in the background. I don’t understand how people are obsessed with her like what about her do you love? She’s just a mediocre person. There’s nothing really interesting or exciting about her. For the final two Trinity should have won, and everyone though it. but realistically Mo should have won all stars 4 or at at least been top 2.

I honestly was totally ready and supported a double crowning for UK4 with Danny Beard and Cheddar Gorgeous!! I saw a lot of other fans on twitter thought the same so I was expecting it and would have been overjoyed to have another pair of twinners.
Technically Cheddar shot herself in the foot when she told Ru in the finale that she didn't think she could win, Ru gave her an odd look and it sealed her fate for Danny to win over her. Plain and simple.

Also there was a triple win^^ Secret Celebrity Drag Race S1 ep3 had the best roast, period and it's one of my fav episodes of the whole franchise;o) And as with Drag Race the following season(s) might be more polished but way less raw, authentic and unapologetic than their pilots which drew me to watch in the first place. To this day I will say if Shangela wasn't robbed in AS3 this wouldn't be a controversy I can't blame rupaul for AS3 I blame the eliminated contestants coz remember it was up to them would be in the final two they knew shanglea had an amazing track record and won majority of the challenges along with bendela, but since bendela eliminated herself Shangela was the one with the biggest wins they saw her as the real winner and a threat to em so they decided to screw her over.
This. And then Trinity would’ve won AS4 alone as she had the best track record. Honestly this twin didn’t feel deserved, as much as I LOVE Monet.
Had Shangela won AS3, Trinity would have a solo win on AS4.

@@californiakitty80 I thought this was common knowledge because the hall of fame was looking very white and fandom were heated about Shangela not winning so producers orchestrated this double win in AS4 after a certain point of the show airing but Trinity probs was the only planned winner after Manila was eliminated.
@@californiakitty80 Shangela wouldn't have won All Stars even if she ended up against Trixie though. AS3 is when the tides were turning against the whole "RuPaul's Reveal Race" and Shangela showed what she would have performed for Wrecking Ball in a bar one time. It was so messy and desperate. It's not something that would have won a finale.

Saw Monet perform live once, didn’t get to do an M&G with her but she was just so into it and living for local queens in my area and she had so much fun bantering with the audience. Also she showed us her first live performance in drag, which was neat

I feel like the whole twinner thing is a welcome addition to the show, but one that shouldn't be overdone like a death drop. Like maybe have it occur once every 6 seasons, or whenever it appears appropriate when two of the characters the drag queens play on the show end up being seen as exceptionally well performance wise throughtout the show's duration.

I think one of my favorite moments from the show is All-stars 7 when Trinity busy into the courtroom walking funny as hell. And then visibly looks shocked when she realizes she has the same exact outfit on as Michelle. Such a funny scene. 😂😂
THIS is why I love and stan Nina. She's a true queen. Intelligent, soft spoken and a quiet revelation. Plus, out of drag, s/he's mouthwatering.
I think a lot of people forget that Monet would have eliminated Manila if she'd beaten Naomi in their lip sync - feels like the narrative around Manila's elimination would have been entirely different if the eventual winner would have given her the chop
I think if Monet won that lip sync we would have had more of an expectation she would eliminate Manila. It would have still hurt to see her go when she was doing so well, but given what happened prior it wouldn’t have been as shocking. Naomi was kissing Manila’s ass and then when she got in the top was like bye sis lmaooo.

TRINITY is spectacular. All the queens on the show are. I know a lot, A LOT of queens who are incredibly talented and have been trying to get on the show for years. Some in my opinion way better than a few who made it onto the show. I believe they stack the deck a bit knowing who they want to be at the top when they begin the show. Support your local queens.
I think a double crowning could happen again but only if it’s something between two REALLY connected queens on a season. Like if two queens are always saving each other and are very clearly like best friends or something. I doubt it will ever happen on, like, a main season, but for any season with an all stars format I think it could very well be a thing again.
I never really bought into the shedevilbynight allegations tbh, the evidence just felt circumstantial at best. It’s a response to one tweet that could’ve easily been misinterpreted so I can buy Trinity’s explanation of it being a misunderstanding and I just don’t buy that she’d freely admit it on a public forum if it was her since she would’ve known what she had posted and what the optics would be, she’s not an idiot. I also feel like what the account posted just doesn’t align with her public persona and what she has stated in the past, which admittedly is likely a curated image of her. I could definitely be wrong, we ultimately don’t know the identity of the person behind the account. I just feel like people jumped immediately on to it being Trinity as a hard fact when it seems clear to me that there’s very little substance to the claim and people deserve the benefit of the doubt imo.

The thing that makes me feel really sour about people's demand for diversity is that people straight up ignore Trixie is native. Like, sure we can talk about Trixie being white passing but she's still native and considering the amount of people I've seen comment that Asian people are "basically white" and that "everyone in latinoamerica is white" it all just feels like the want for diversity is fake, performative wokeness. If people want more black queens winning that's valid, but just say that! Dismissing poc that don't fit into stereotypes or aren't "poc enough" because of their skin shade is just gross.
I've heard Trixie self-identify as white multiple times. Sure, she speaks of her native roots too, but I guess perception is reality. Her upbringing was typical of a poor white family in the country.

Kylie Sonique Love was the first trans contestant. They revealed their status during the reunion.
Monica was the first contestant to have an open trans status whilst competing, due to her reveal on the main stage on the 2nd episode of her season.
Peppermint was the first openly trans contestant to be accepted as a contestant.

honestly, i was pretty soured on the season at that point that i think i probably reacted to the double-crowning a little too harshly.
i was hardcore rooting for manila and watching her be sent home felt like shangela all over again so i was all in on trinity winning and i do still stand by the fact that had it been a solo-crown she should’ve won with the better track record but the fact they’ve both took it in their stride is great especially when they came back for all-stars again.

It’s such a shame about that Reddit acct and I honestly still want to believe it wasn’t Trinity, because she’s absolutely one of the most talented Drag Race queens. Sadly, we’ll probably never know for sure.

Says who? This is not grounded in any reality. The final lip sync wouldnt have been what made such a monumental decision.
@@rogerdodger1984 Objectively, Trinity's track record was better than Monet's. The former won 4 maxi challenges and was in the bottom only once whereas the latter won 3 and was in the bottom twice. If this was one of the earlier seasons back when there wasn't a final lip sync for the crown, I think they would have only crowned Trinity. However, Monet clearly won the final lip sync and at the time that had some weight (not anymore, apparently, as we saw in AS7) I love Monet, I'm just trying to be unbiased here with my opinion. If anything there could've been a double crowning with Manila and Raja who were head to head throughout the competition, but that wasn't a possibility back then.

I've been watching your videos but since im still not caught up with all the seasons Ive been holding off on some of them as i watch the seasons. I've been getting this video recommended to me for a long time now and I FINALLY watched as4. I immediately came to this video and even though i already knew it was a tie, it felt so weird. Season 4 has its issues though. Outside of Manila and the Big Brother game... it just felt like the judges were rewriting how Monique Heart did because they didn't like her as well (*cough* Shut up Ross *cough*) even though I felt she did better than Monet in the competition, overall. And although their track records look identical, Monet really bombed Snatch game and that Pink Panther look, and the two times Monique was in the "bottom" (girl groups and the roast) I feel she shouldn't have been.

Monet "won" because Shangela was robbed in AS3. It's as simple as that. Trinity destroyed everyone on All Stars 4, including Manila. Watch the episodes, there's no denying that.

I see a lot of comments saying UK4 should've been a double crowning but technically Cheddar shot herself in the foot the moment she told Ru in the finale that she did not see herself winning, which we all know Ru is big on believing in yourself and will eliminate you for not being "real" in his eyes. Danny deserved their solo win and was constantly making RuPaul laugh/ was a bit more personable. That being said I loved Cheddar and I can't wait for her to be our UK All Stars 1 Winner ⭐️

I honestly think it will happen if the top 2 or 2 of the top x queens in a season are beloved by the fanbase. I say this because of the huge amount of people who were actually hoping for a double crowning between Cheddar Gorgeous and Danny Beard on UK 4. I kinda feel like production didn't want to crown both because of the whole situation with Monet and Trinity and the amount of discourse it created. But, maybe it'll happen in the future now that they know that quite a big portion of fans would actually be behind it. But that is only in the circumstance where 2 queens slay a season or 2 are just outright adored.

Gurl let’s be real. Black Lives Matter was insanely vocal at the moment, the political conversations at the time were peak inflammatory and divisive (advancing important conversations for society, which is way more important than a reality show) - but on the heels of all that, they double crowned Monet at the last minute to avoid backlash conversations about diversity. It is literally, physically evidenced by the last minute, different designed crown. During this time, DR had PSA sign-offs at the end of every episode acknowledging their queens of color, so obviously they were VERY conscious of the conversation and the image they wanted to present.

Being honest, I don't think we would ever have a double crowning on a regular season, although we have had some occasions that it would be a really good way to end the season like with Raja and Manila or with Danny Beard and Cheddar Gorgeous in UK4. All Stars look more reasonable to me.

I would love to see another double win. Recently there were a few times I would have liked to see it. It would have been fucking amazing to see a Ra'Jah and Silky double crowning, as well as a Danny Beard and Cheddar Gorgeous double crowning. They were both situations where the queens were nearly equally matched, had an amazing final episode, and had very close relationships in the competition. They both could have been very justifiable double crownings.
Manila should have won that season.
